Moving from the Sunshine Coast back to Brisbane as I've started a 2/3yr Interior Design degree. I quit my FIFO job in September of 2016 to pursue something I've been putting off for far to long. Chasing dollars instead of happiness. I'm pretty chill to live with, sometimes I make cookies and drink whisky. I've enjoyed living with people previously and have had one long term roommate (6yrs - we're best friends). I like to go to the gym and train hard, there was nothing else to do when I worked FIFO so I focused on fitness and personal improvement. I recently returned from a fitness holiday in Thailand where I trained at Tiger Muay Thai (if you haven't heard of it, give it a google - best thing i've done this year). You'll know if I've had a bad day because I'll start cleaning, so I guess that's a win for whoever I end up with. Ideally a spot in the Valley would be sweet, but am happy with anything within a close proximity. I'm still looking for work but it shouldn't take long to pin down a part-time gig. I have savings to get me through this transition phase. Keep it real Anna.
This two bedroom two bathroom apartment is situated in one of Brisbane's best suburbs. Only a minute walk from the Merthyr shoppping village and a 15min walk to Fortitude Valley or the CBD. Perfect for someone looking to live a relaxed lifestyle while still being close to the city. The complex has a pool and Gym. The open plan of the apartment allows for two large living spaces that both rooms connect to as well as fitted shutters that allow for one area to be opened up to become an almost outdoor terrace! This apartment is the perfect retreat from the world, cross breezes and ceiling fans through out keep it cool all year round. Bills to be split evenly. Unlimited Internet is included in rent. The room is available unfurnished. Pool and small gym Large open plan living spaces gas stove and oven great views Washer and dryer DishwasherBuilt in wardrobes ceiling fans large room comfortably fit Queen size bed and more
The view of the city from the big, open and light living space is by far the best attribute about this apartment. But there are lots of things it has going for it... It's brand new and has never been lived in (well, before I moved in 6 weeks ago). If you love to cook (like I do) the kitchen is amazing; Miele appliances make cooking a breeze. If you don't like cooking, the place is in walking distance from everywhere! 2 mins to Brunswick St in one direction and another 2 mins in the other direction to James St. Each room and the living area has ducted and individually controlled reverse-cycle air conditioning. Rent includes your own private room and the main bathroom. Ideally you'd be happy to share the main bathroom when guests are over. You also have your own car park in a secure complex (there is a 2 car, tandem car park for the unit). If you don't have a car, I'll take your car space and your rent drops by $30. Your room is unfurnished but the rest of the house is completely furnished. There isn't a couch at the moment as it didn't fit in the move, but this will be on it's way in the new year - or feel free to BYO. I have the master bedroom and bathroom, because of this, I will happily pay more rent. In time, once I finish properly moving in and the 3rd bedroom becomes less of a storage facility and more of a 3rd bedroom, I will turn this into a guest space which you're more than welcome to use when you have friends and family stay. You must love dogs to want to live here, I have a puppy on the way (photo of the breed in the listing) and he is the main reason I moved to begin with. He is a hypoallergenic breed and wont shed all over your bed therefore is very apartment friendly. So if you've ever wanted a pet without the responsibility, this is the place for you! :-)
I´m tidy and I like order. Respectful and good listener. I think I know how to respect the other´s space. I´m friendly and I like to share cultural curiosities. I like to cook when I have time. I´m sporty. I have studied Journalism and Teaching at Spain, and I´m in Australia to improve my English and live a great experience. I hope you could be part of it! =)
Hi there, I'm Ness! I'm looking for a place while I continue (the seemingly never ending journey) of saving for a house deposit. And no, I will not sacrifice smashed avo. I'm single and have a pretty good balance in life. I'm housemate trained after share housing for a decade or so, including basics such as: - keeping communal areas tidy - 'clean as you go' kitchen habits - pushing a vacuum cleaner and other weekly chores - replacing toilet paper and other household items - Netflix binging - kicking back and having a chat with a drink in hand or over dinner - respecting/ giving you space I highly value staying active, healthy and happy, which means I'm busy during the weekdays with: - exercising (boxing, running, gym, indoor soccer, walking, or other) - working full time in health and community care (including some travel) - spending time with mates Weekends are for adventures, events, and sometimes relaxing. Things I'd like to do at any time? - travel. I just got back from trekking to base camp Everest which (probably needless to say) was incredible. Diving somewhere is happening for the Easter break... - eat. I love eating, particularly anything fresh, or on a brunch menu, but I certainly don't discriminate. - spend my time outdoors doing everything and anything. - spend time with animals- I've done volunteering in this space before and if you have a pet I'll love it like my own! I'm looking to move to a place: - preferably mid Feb - for 6 months or more - with max 3 housemates - unfurnished bedroom - with carpark (on street parking is fine) - close to the city (walking distance preferably) I'd be looking for housemate(s) who are positive, enjoy wit, predominantly sociable, and enjoy what they do. Anything else you want to know? Feel free to message me!

I'm a Brazilian guy in Brisbane to study English and I have a part-time job. I´m looking for a minimum stay of 6 months, if we get along, we can stay flatmates for a long time. Interested in single rooms with own bathroom in the region of Valley-Newstead-Teneriffe-New Farm. Best Regards!!
My name is Josie. I am 27 years old and work full time...Monday to Friday. I like to get up early, go to gym and get to bed early in the evenings. On the weekends I like to go to the coast for a surf or spend time visiting friends/family. I have an 11 month old pug named Chubs who I will need to move with. I am not a huge party person and I don't drink very much at all. Looking for somewhere preferably with another female.
To introduce myself, I'm Jacob, a 22 y.o. college grad moving to Brisbane from the U.S. in early February. I will be working in the CBD Mon-Fri 9-5, commuting by public transport. I also work on publishing projects so tend to use evenings for additional work. That being said I am always open for a drink and meeting new people! I'm fine with all animals, even though I don't have any of my own. I enjoy cooking and am quiet, clean, and considerate. If you're still looking for a roommate and all of the above sounds agreeable to you, email/message me and maybe we can work something out. Just let me know and I can provide my facebook or other information to get a conversation going. Thanks!
Hiya potential flatmate! Myself and 3 female roommates are looking for a new member to join the Charles street family. The room available is medium sized and a bargain price considering the location. The house is a 2 story half brick/half Queenslander with renovated wooden floors and 3 living areas. There is an indoor deck that wraps around the house and a decent backyard for afternoon hangs. Unfortunately the real estate will not allow pets, as much as we'd love to have a furry friend. Downstairs there is a double garage along with the laundry, 5th bedroom and second bathroom. The house is super close to public transport and some cool bars/cafes as well as Coles and plenty of Gym choices. Your house mates will be Shae, Rhiannon, Jessie and Dom. We're all in our early 20s and are looking for a like minded person who isn't just wanting a roommate but also some new friends. We love to have a laugh and enjoy a drink/music but also chill out on the couch with a good movie and junk food (or healthy snacks, we're open to all things edible). We don't like drama and also work very hard to keep communal spaces tidy (We got a cleaning roster Bitcheezzzz), so if you are a fun, respectful and a chill human being we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for someone reliable who'd like to join the family. If you are interested please send me a text or email message telling me about yourself (why you would be a great fit for the house) and we can organise a time to view the room 🙂
Hi future housemates. I'm Tony. My god is well trained, friendly, gets along well if other friendly dogs and can be an inside or outside dog... I'm currently employed but I'm not getting many hours at the moment. I'm on centerlink as well so paying rent isn't an issue, I'm also looking for a second job.. I like fishing, bush walks, chilling at the beach, going to festival's, gig's, Think of myself as a bit of a free spirit. Thanks for reading this, :) Hoping to hear from you soon...

I am 26, from the UK and on a working holiday visa which expires in February. Looking for somewhere within 30mins of the city (walking or by public transport). My maximum budget is $180 including bills. I currently work in the CBD for an insurance company Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 5pm. Im friendly, clean, considerate and reliable. I'm a health practitioner, so i try practice what i preach...haha. For fun I love all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities. Health, fitness and amazing food are certainly part of these things. Good wine with great conversation is medicine too :-) I'm moving from Bardon, been studying and working here in Brisbane for the past 4 years. Hoping to move to a great location, in a lovely house with likeminded person/ people. My gorgeous li'l black and white kitty will be moving with me too, she is shy but easy going. Spends most of her time in my bedroom chilling or looking out from a window or balcony surveying the area. If I sound like the right fit for you, please don't hesitate to call or text to arrange a catch up xo
Hey lovelies! I'm 21 years old Finnish girl and i have been in Australia about a year now. I'm really positive, open and outgoing. For me it's really important to have people around, i love talking and hearing about other's adventures. I consider myself as a tidy person, and i like to keep things in order. I try to do yoga and meditation regularly, but sometimes it's quite hard, i'm pretty easily distracted. Back in Finland i used to teach dance and i was an actress so i hope i'll get back to that soon, i think my best side shows when i can be on stage and dance or act. I love animals and back home i have heaps of pets. I would take a dog or a cat instantly if my life would be this unstable. Because i'm on my working holiday visa, i'm not sure can i stay here more than year, i hope i get sponsored so i could stay longer but you never know, life is full of mysteries.
I'm an easy going, friendly and respectful tenant. Work full time Monday to Friday as a Business Analyst. When I'm not working I'm usually rock climbing or doing something active. Im equally into socialising as I am reading a book, so happy to hang out but also understand down time and respect for space. I'm looking for a furnished room with a private bathroom/ensuite and a place to park my car. Only after a 6 month lease at the most. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I'm a mid-30's management consultant, transitioning to my own venture/startup. I am a rather quiet than a party person. I socialise with friends mainly outdoors. I also try to keep healthy and cook my meals every day. Sharing with people along the years I have realised that I am very considerate, and I like a peaceful place at the end of the day. I don't mind having a chat at the end of the day, but I am mega respectful of the other's space/time :) And no cats: I am allergic
Hello! I am Lacey:) I am clean and tidy and work full time but also don't mind going out and having wine & cheese nights. I would like to live with someone who is friendly as well! I am looking for a modern master room with en suite and aircon if you have something similar please do let me know.
Hi! My name is Laura. I'm 24 looking to make the move to Brisbane from SA. I'm into a healthy lifestyle, not much of a party head this days. Respectful, tidy and can keep to myself but also looking to make some friends! Sorry I'm allergic to cats.
Howdy, I'm Fraser, and I'm an Aussie studying Exercise/Sport Science full time at UQ. In my spare time I like to keep fit, mostly through running, cycling, and swimming. I work as a barista, so I'm up early in the morning, and am usually in bed pretty early at night. I study hard, I don't smoke, I only drink socially, and I'm neat and keep the communal areas clean!
I'm a PhD Candidate (doing my research about culinary tourism/social media and marketing). Apart from doing my PhD, I also work part-time (a few days per week) as a consulate officer in the CBD. I've lived in a lot of shared houses (both in Brisbane and Glasgow) while Bangkok and Malmö are cities where I spent my childhood. Well I like to think that I'm pretty easy to live with - however I am such a clean/neat freak and a minimalist. I really like something that's marble, woody, white or rose-gold! If the bedroom is unfurnished, that's totally fine since I have got some ideas for my Pinterest-inspired bedroom. Obsessed with all the candles, Aesop products and etc that can make the home is a place to unwind. I would say I prefer to keep the house organised and clutter-free. I mostly cook at home but as a foodie I often go out to find good places/cafes to chill out and catch up with foodies. Although I love cooking and baking (everyone says I'm pretty good at baking anything about matcha) at home, I do use electricity wisely so we can save money and help protect the environment.
