The house in Newmarket is older style with polished floors and high ceilings. There is a lovely garden with big trees and underground storage. The house is close to transport 5 mins to city & Southbank with shops and gorgeous big parks on either side. There is a sun room with windows overlooking trees off the bedroom and a private loo. . It was once a Buddhist retreat centre and the house has a lovely ...air con in the bedroom ..the kitchen is older vintage style and there is a walk in pantry and a fabulous old stove...some may find it too old however it has character. smoking ok in the garden
Hey room hunters – we have a great room that’s becoming available on the 31st August. We live smack bang in the middle of Newmarket. The property is across the road from Newmarket Shopping Centre – literally a one minute walk and you’ve got Sushi Edo, Grill’d, Nandos, Homeslice, Coles, not one but TWO bottle shops, a bakery, a doctors, a physio (comes in handy!), a pharmacy and essentially every human need can be fulfilled with the shops there. The house also falls within a great Uber Eats area and you can order pretty much anything you feel like (hellllo bao from Kwan Brothers). There is now also a cinema being built and nearing completion. In terms of location, we’re a quick drive away from the city and its surrounds – an Uber home averages around $12. There’s also a bus stop just around the corner on Enoggera Road from the house that will take you to the city and QUT Kelvin Grove pretty much every five minutes. The room itself is super large for the $119 price tag. It can comfortably fit a queen bed and extra furniture. It also has a small shared balcony with one other tenant. The bathroom is also large (and has a window which should never be underappreciated). You would share the bathroom with two girls however there is an extra toilet downstairs. The kitchen is great and supplied with all cooking utensils etc. We have a fridge AND a separate freezer. Downstairs also has a dining area, a lounge room with a shared TV, and a washing machine. Parking is on the street but for the most part there are no issues getting a space. We’re looking for someone to replace our current housemate on the lease, which renews end of February 2018. The agency has always been good about renewing the lease (it’s currently on its 4th renewal, I think?!) and that would most likely be the plan for next year. Rent is $119 a week, internet is $15 a month and electricity is around $130 ish a quarter. Only Australian residents aged 23 and over please. If studying, we’d also need you to be working permanently (for our peace of mind re: paying the rent). You’ll be living with three Brisbane/Queensland girls who are pretty much never home at the same time.

I have to move within the next month as the owner of my house is selling but am flexible with dates and furnishings.
Hey, Nicola and myself are looking for an additional roomie to add in our home. We both currently are working part-time and Nicola is studying. We might possibly have a place with a room available (shared bathroom with me). If you're looking for a home to go to that you feel comfortable to sit down and have a board game with us at the end of the day, you are the one! We are both super laid back and understand personal space. Let us know if you're interested we'd love to meet up 🙂 Ash
I spend most of my time studying towards my MBA, building my digital marketing business & finding new networking opportunities ... I'm working for myself from home 3/4 of the time. I'm a sociable introvert ... like to keep my space clean & tidy, I'm mature but not up-tight, don't take myself too seriously & still know how to have fun. I'm quite open and happy to chat, but also like time by myself & looking for a similar housemate. I'm also hoping to find a nearby gym, if you have any recommendations or in-house gym even better. If love drama or you've got crazy relatives, friends or ex-partners ... I'm not your person, I don't do drama or BS! I do like a drink or 2 occasionally but not interested in a party house. Non-smokers only pls. Mature or 30yo+ preferred. Overall ... I am very down-to-earth & easy to get along with, If you have any other questions please ask. I have a bed & smallish desk but flexible if furnished, & in need of wardrobe space. Good internet connection with unlimited data essential. Off-street parking & ensuite preferred.
