Brisbane, Griffith Student & Uber/Dasher Hi there! I work part-time as an Uber/Doordash/Sherpa delivery driver, while I study part-time. I have a small lancer hatch 🚗 I’m a big homebody and love to keep to myself as between work, study, and caring for my elderly parents I’m usually pretty exhausted. I study at Griffith (business and applied math). I come from retail management and disability care. In the middle of a bit of a career change. I have a small pet parrot named Articuno; he's an Indian Ringneck. He can chat some phrases and he’ll win you over playing hard to get. He sleeps by 7 pm (dark) and I try to keep him as mentally stimulated as possible with foraging toys and letting him out around my room for regular exercise. This keeps them from getting noisy. He has his own large cage that I’d keep in my room. I’m also attempting to harness train him to get him out of the house too. My party days are well and truly over; and just looking for a peaceful home. Not entirely opposed to social occasion’s of course, but will be a bit of a hermit sometimes out of exhaustion. I’ve lived with anywhere between 2-6 roommates at multiple addresses in the past. Had 2 places to myself; so I’m used to managing utilities, cleaning and gardening responsibilities. Looking for shared housing while not working full-time making room for studies. I have all of my own furniture - 2 small storage units; but flexible on keeping the storage for anything that is not needed. Please do message me directly if you think I’d fit your household👌 Happy to pay higher rent for non-share rentals.

Hello, before I introduce myself I would like to explain my situation, I actually have 2 dogs however one is in a boarding kennel and has been for over a year now so ideally I am looking for a place that can accept me and both my dogs, I'm pretty eager to get my boy back because the kennel is costing me hundreds every month and I would like to have him back, both my dogs are well trained, ( by myself ) my staffy boy, Mikey is almost 10yrs he has been through behavioural training, obedience training and protection training and I rescued him from a dogbaiting background so I am really only looking for a place where I can move with both my dogs as I would like to get him back. In saying that, he is now NOT good with male German Shepherds after he was involved in an incident last year in which my last housemate's male GSD attacked him, one of the main reasons that I moved out so it is *very important to me to find the right fit hence why I am not in a rush to move until then. Anyway, my name is Ellie! Basically I am just another kiwi who grew up in Brisbane, I am pretty easy - going, laidback and quiet, I *am an introvert so I do tend to keep to myself but I am keen to meet new people, keen to live with friendly people and don't mind a chat/drink occasionally. I enjoy playing music, reading, singing and ofc spending time with my friendly Labrador Retriever pup, Katara ( have written more about her, her behaviours/training further down ). I'm vegetarian but open to living with omnivores, I grew up in a meat - eating family so it is no bother to me. I like a clean, tidy environment, I don't function well in clutter and mess so hoping to move into a household that prioritizes cleanliness, I know we all have busy schedules but I'm open to and willing to contribute to household chores or a chores roster or for us to do our own cleaning of our own separate areas whatever you prefer, and ofc I clean up after myself and my dogs. -Important side note, I am looking for a 1 - storey or a place where I am able to have a room on either the ground floor or up 1 flight of stairs, due to the injury that I sustained in the incident between my dog and my former housemate's dog, I cannot walk up and down stairs too much and as my Katara is growing I want to avoid stairs for her where possible. I work in Animal Care, vet nurse and experienced stablehand in Brisbane and Sydney for 7 years, animal carer at a rescue farm before moving back to Brisbane where I work part - time as a kennel attendant and I also run my own pet - sitting business hence I am not home sometimes, I pet - sit my clients in their homes and offer doggy daycare in my clients homes, this means that I may not be home for weeks/months at a time and when I have bookings out of home I take Katara with me, she stays with family while I am away working, however I am looking to cut back on my pet - sitting this year ( too much driving all over Brisbane ). Both Katara and Mikey are good with other cats and dogs, as long as other dogs don't try to dominate my boy or...get in his face, essentially then he is fine with them. Transport - I don't have a car right now so looking for a place relatively close to public transport. I work part - time at a kennel, pet - sitting, I am in my last year at uni and sometimes do a bit of freelance writing work from home so I'm always doing something whether it is out or at home. KATARA My dog is 1yo, female, she grew up with my former housemate's 4yo male German Shepherd and her ragdoll, Blue, due to my work she has been socialised ( safely ) around other animals both cats and dogs since she was 8 weeks so she is a happy, playful girl when she meets other dogs and cats, she absolutely loves them and turns into a sook when they don't want to play with her lol, overall she is a happy, sociable and playful pup but she knows when to settle. I take her out twice a day, (7am/7pm) feed twice a day ( 800am/745pm ) so she has a routine. She is an inside/outside dog, ( as long as the backyard is secure ) when I am not home, or she is inside but likes to have access to outside for toileting and she likes to sunbake, in saying all this I am happy for her to be outside only if you prefer and even better if the backyard is a decent size. She usually sleeps inside with me in my room ( in her crate ) but also happy for her to sleep outside in her crate, ideally undercover if you have an undercover area. She is toilet - trained, crate - trained, inside OR outside during the day. I don't allow her on furniture/beds, I'm strict about cleaning her poo as well since she eats it otherwise. She is also good with kids, ( tested with my niece and my former housemate's niece who lived with us ) she is quiet too and doesn't bark ( unless to alert of people passing by or approaching the house ). Thank you for your time!
