I work in the CBD in recruitment, and am at the gym most weeknights. Weekends are generally spent winding down with mates, and good scotch. I'm not looking for a party house, just a place to call home with like-minded people that are cool to have their own lives, but share the occasional meal and drink.
Hi, I’m Mathew, I'm 35 and I study Aerospace Engineering at RMIT in the city. In my spare time I like to play video games, watch suff, go to the beach, see a live gig, explore Melbourne or catch up with friends. I'm also dabbling in the world of health & fitness. I need to find a place somewhere north of the city. My course moves to RMIT's Bundoora campus next year and I am hoping to keep my commute reasonable. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon. Any other questions, please ask.
I'm a friendly, clean and tidy guy with a love of technology and digital arts. I graduated from Swinburne last year and have an interest and skills in digital media design. I have a new full-time job in Fitzroy and need to quickly find somewhere to live. If I end up living with you, you'll normally find me happily working away at my computer, watching a movie, or going out for a walk.
I'm a friendly, easygoing gay man. Originally from the country but have been living in Melbourne for about three years. I've been at my current place in St Kilda for over a year now, but am looking for a change, ideally to move northside.
Hi, LOOKING FOR A HOME URGENTLY... I AM VERY EASY TO LIVE WITH AND HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR... I am looking for a nice relaxed place to live, I would like my own bathroom if possible and I am very flexible with the location I am more interested in having a home rather than just a room. I am a writer/director working on the third draft of an Aussie Comedy hoping to shoot the film early 2018, I am in the process of raising the budget. I am a clean tidy considerate person who has a great sense of humour, I like a laugh a meal and a glass of wine, but I also value my space and give you yours, I also pay my bills and rent on time. At the moment I will be writing from home hence a study or my own lounge, or even granny flat or studio would be helpful but not a deal breaker as I am looking for an office this year. I am studying film editing on final cut pro. I do have a 11 year old WELL TRAINED AND LOVED DOG AND A LITTLE BLACK CAT so it's important that they have a little space and are safe. I am flexible with moving dates. Cheers Peita:)
I'm a 25 year-old working in Mordialloc and currently looking for a long-term stay in a share house in the inner north of Melbourne. When I'm not working I'm a keen cyclist and cricketer, podcast listener and pub trivia maniac. I've lived in sharehouses for the last five years across a couple of different countries, so I'm housebroken, reasonably tidy and cool with pets, especially silly cats and lazy dogs. I'm happy to keep to myself most of the time, but if you're living in a more social house then I can dig it.
Neat clean person - non-smoker, just need a place to sleep and shower and prepare basic meals for 5 days a fortnight. I am a busy business consultant who travels a lot for work.
Looking to move from Canberra to greener pastures (aka Melbourne). We like to think that we're friendly, tidy, and all round reliable people. Keen to move out asap, so any bond or advance rent payments required will not be an issue for us :)
My name is Ali, I'm 36 and a student. I'm currently obtaining my Diploma in Youth and Community Services. Although I'm not home most times, I do enjoy good company (I love to discuss any topic, controversial or otherwise), cooking and maintaining a light mood all around. Most of all, I take great pride in keeping my immediate living quarters clean and presentable. Here is my current situation: I am unhappy where I reside. Please don't get me wrong, the folks here are fantastic but it is incredibly expensive and it is isolated. I wish to be somewhere more centralised where public transport and amenities are more available, not to mention be closer to family and friends.
Hello, I am 35 years old and originally from Kent, England. As a police officer, my job consists of shift work including nights. I'm a very social person and enjoy getting to know people. I have an active lifestyle. My interests include playing/watching football & rugby and particpating in marathons.
Hi, I'm Bridget! 27 year old full-time Nurse! Bubbly and social, always busy working or at the gym so rarely home. When I'm home quiet and mainly keep to myself, however always up for a chat or glass of wine occasionally! Non-smoker and lead a fairly active and healthy lifestyle. my one deal breaker is I'd like is my own bathroom/ensuite haha happy to pay more and share everything else!
Hi my name is Johan and I'm interested in this room. I'm 23 and I'm from Colombia. I'm easygoing, tidy and respectful. If you wanna talk about your problems or sharing your ideas in order to solve the world issues, I would be your best option. I'm looking for a room ASAP. Don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks for your attention
I work in publishing on St Kilda Rd. I'm looking for a place where I can ride my bike to work, preferably in the northern suburbs so I can be close to family and friends. I like to cook, particularly sweet things like slices and cakes, but am also pretty healthy and like to keep active and fit. I'm also looking at getting a small to medium sized dog soon, so ideally I'd like a place that is pet-friendly with a yard.
Hey guys! I am from Mumbai, India and will be studying information technology at the University of Melbourne this July. I am looking for a furnished private room in a share house. I have been living in a hostel for the past 4 years and am very comfortable sharing an apartment with others. I am excited to meet people from all over the world and get a chance to learn about their culture. I am an animal lover and a vegan, however, have no problems with you having non-vegetarian food at the apartment. I love to read non-fiction, listen to jazz and am always up for a cold beer.
I'm Australian by birth and for most of my career, I've worked in politics, government and media. I've recently had a sabbatical to complete a Juris Doctor and am thinking of a PhD next year. I'm divorced as well, but that was long ago. I have no kids and no hassles. I've just started looking for a new place to live as the owners here are moving back in. So I'm looking for an unfurnished room to myself. Ideally with no more than two others in house/apartment. Close to train. Non-smoker, male, late forties but with a full head of hair. If you'd like to meet me and show me the room, please drop me a line.
Hey, I'm starting a PhD next year, in Literature...teaching it to medical students and I need an awesome house and house mate(s) to share with while I'm buckling down. I also work part time at the Uni of Melbourne on a mental health research study. I'm easy going...a great listener...I love to read and have really good/meaty/existential conversations with likeminded folk.
Light-hearted, responsible, creative, musical artistic good vibes person. I've live in Melbourne for 5 & a half years... originally from Sydney. I love the creative culture here, and that's why am wanting to venture to live around Northcote. I really like the area. I teach art to adults with disability and mental health issues. I'm a face painter too, plus a great cook. I sing, and a looking to re-learn the uke. I'm a conscious contributor, co-creator, I go to 5Rhythms dance, am community minded, enjoy socialising with housemates and also love having my own space when I need it at home. Hit me up for a spontaneous dance breakout in the kitchen... I love these moments!!
Hi, I'm looking for a shared house with the positive independent people lived in. ***If you are looking for a partner or a friend who can always be stuck with, sorry that wouldn't be me. I'm working and studying, when I'm at home I'm pretty chill and need some down time, but I like to social when I'm around and also respect to your own space. I prefer not living in a party house but do enjoy the odd drink/dinner. I'm very clean and tidy (but not a clean freak type), friendly and open-minded. I'm into travelling, movies, music, sports, photography, arts, food, coffee and cats :) Besides my works, I like to go to the gigs, movies, exhibitions, shows, festivals, exploring the nice restaurants/cafes/pastry shops/markets, and travel when I have holidays. Although we might have the different work schedules, I'm very respectful and won't bring the party to home. I am happy to share the household as I like to keep the house clean and tidy, I'm looking for the liked -mind housemate who likes clean and tidy, and would be energy conscious, e.g. would not wash one clothes a time or smartly use air-con/heater etc. I'm looking for a peaceful home to live with positive people, who enjoy a relaxed quiet home, and able to take care of themselves. ***If your home is TV free, it will be a great bonus to me! Reliable and honest, pay rent on time. Conscious of the wastage of the energy. Looking for a relaxed home, not a party house. Clean and tidy, happy to join the household. Independent, share when I/you want to. Don't mind smokers but no smoking in the house. Open-minded, love multi- cultural, LGBT friendly, 40+ friendly. Pastry chef, occasional sweet treats :) Cat lover, welcome cats and like dogs. Please message me before calling, thank you! My budget is 800 to 1000/month, depending on the place.
Heya :) I'm Karol, originally from Brazil but have been living in Melbourne for about 4 years now. I work full-time as a Yoga & Meditation teacher and am always out and about with work and occasional social gatherings :) I'm looking for somewhere to chill out and recharge after long days where I could find some quiet time. I'd love to share the house with easy going, healthy, clean and respectful people who are not party animals but enjoy the eventual brunch, glass of wine and good conversations. Only looking for private rooms in non-smoking places, and preferably sharing with people of same age range (28-35) . If that's what you've got, please shoot me a message :)
Hey there, I'm looking for a room in a share house around Footscray, inner south or inner east suburbs. Ideally looking to share with others who are also easy to live with and well housetrained- clean/tidy and prefer a home to be a place to chill out, enjoy and relax at the end of the day. About me-I am female, 28 years old and studying Exercise Science full time at Victoria University. I still have 1.5 years left then I am looking to do a masters degree. I also have two pet dogs (a boxer and border collie, 8 year olds) who I would much prefer live with me, so a secure backyard with verandah is ideal. Previous housemates really enjoy their company as they are great dogs and I walk/exercise them regularly! Therefore looking for long term (1 year+) if this is available. In any spare time from study/work I train in Crossfit, some yoga, some cooking. My rent per week range is around $180 or up to $220 for a place with a yard. I'm currently overseas in Japan so I am looking to move into a place when I get back to Melbourne from the 1st of July. Look forward to hearing from prospective housemates!
HELLOOOOOOOOO!!! We are two energetic and adventurous girls looking for housemates similar to ourselves. We are two friends from University looking to move closer to the city. We love wine, cheese and more wine. We enjoy going out for a bite to eat and a few drinks but do love a good movie night every now and then......the kettle is always boiling for our numerous cups of tea. We are clean, respectful of privacy, can cook, love to bake and we are easy going. So if you enjoy wine and cheese nights, cups of tea and a lot on unhealthy baked goodS feel free to message us!
Hello! 23/M from Essex, England. Starting full time work in Melbourne in August. Enjoy my gym/fitness to balance out the beers, live music and love my sport - Football, Cricket and F1. AFL looks promising, but bear with me whilst I learn the rules. Other than that, it's the standard relaxed life with a few video games. My job requires me to have a criminal record check - so you know I wont steal from you - top housemate material, right? Reasonably house trained and understand the concept of cleaning up. I promise I'll pay all my bills bang on time because debt makes me feel uncomfortable. Sounds great? Looking for a place for 6 months plus if possible
Considerate, clean, relaxed, conscientious, organised and easy to get along with. I'm a seasoned sharer, having always had fantastic experiences and made great friends over years sharing houses in Melbourne and London. I appreciate a balance of being social and having my own space, interests being reading, cooking, music, eating and drinking out, some occasional sport and travel. Originally from NE Victoria, I lived in London for 6 years and Melbourne for 5 years prior to that. My current job is a fairly basic 'for-the-time-being' one (delivery van driver). Before that I worked in the wine industry in London. Currently I'm working about 30 hours per week, a mix between nights and days. I've also just started as a volunteer foodbank coordinator, which will add about another 8 hours.
I am from Melbourne and am in the process of launching my own business. I do a combination of work from home and onsite, also, have an office space in hawthorn. I am pretty relaxed, can cook and like to keep a clean house. I enjoy a good movie, spending time with mates and motorcycling when I can.
We have a heater and Dario Argento is in it. Dinithi works 3/4 days at a design firm and is studying architecture. Earnest is doing a hospitality and management course and helps out at an organics store in Dennis. We both love wacky movies and neat tunes and talking about the aforementioned, can cook up a delightful meal and clean as we go.We also come with a mystical cat named Rasputin so shoot us a msg if ur interested.
Hey there I'm Tash - I've been living in sharehouses for the past 6 years or so. I am looking for a nice place to enjoy with friendly and tidy housemates. Currently I'm finishing my studies part time while working full time so a quieter household would be preferred, with space for wines/dancing on the weekend. xx
I love my current home but am in need of something bigger. I am in no hurry to move, just hoping to find the right person/people to start a new home with. I have spent the last two years living alone but prior to that I lived in share accommodation for 8 years in QLD. I have a house full of furniture but am happy to sell stuff if needed. I love boardgames, outdoor adventures, all types of exercise, anything that requires creativity, eating, drinking etc. Basically I love pretty much everything. I am easy going, tidy and sociable. I work full time but also run a business from home so I do need either a super big room/ office/ garage to put my extra stuff. Anything else, feel free to ask.
Hello, Ashton's the name they gave me, born 1989 making me 27 years of age. I am a hard working, fully employed Machinist/Setout Coordinator working in the commercial interior industry. Generally a 7 - 3:30 Monday to Friday gig with the occasional weekend. So I've got my side of the bills covered. Generally I keep busy either playing sport or hitting the F45 circuits. Pretty much 5-6 days a week. I can motivate if your wanting a gym partner. When I do have a chance to slow down, I'm always up for a casual beer, domination of the old board game or some social bonding. Being new to Melbourne it would be nice to make some friends instead of the occasional greeting to the old housemate in the other room. Having done the house share thing for some time, I pull my weight around the house, clean up after myself and generally respect others needs for cleanliness and space.
I own a house in Castlemaine so I'm used to treating a house respectfully. I also enjoy ease in my living space, both from being reasonably tidy as well as a friendly vibe. I don't like drama since I have my own business which occupies me passionately. I'm full of stories (writer) and ideas and have lived an unconventional life for its entirety. I am an Ayurvedic practitioner (Indian holistic medicine) which has inspired me to live thoughtfully with my choices but by no means from a judgemental perspective. I like things natural. I also like things funny. I've moved from Castlemaine to Melbourne (originally from Melbourne) and hoping to find an enjoyable and friendly space for myself and Bella, my 8 year old kelpie mix. She's very well trained indoors and very socialised. Everyone loves her (or is that just me).
Hi there I'm looking to find a place close to Melbourne Polytechnic, Fairfield where I'm currently in the second year of my Bachelor of Illustration. Hey my name is Jacob. I'm a 21 year old contracted electrician but looking to get out of that industry and move into realestate. On weekdays I tend to spend my time either working, going to the gym or just kicking back and watching some tv. On weekends I usually just chill out and hang out with my housemates, go out and have a beer somewhere quiet and chill or go on an adventure. I am a non smoker, I don't own a pet and Im very considerate of other housemates space. Id also like to add that even though I am still young the party life is behind me but if there is a special occasion I will crack a beer and join in on the festivities, but I’d much rather be in the kitchen making an awesome as meal or going on an adventure and experiencing life.
I'm a financial analyst working full-time looking for a convenient place with easy access to the city. I'm a neat and tidy guy who respects other people and their space and expect the same in return. I don't smoke, not the party/clubbing type, and all my friends are professionals mostly in the finance field. I'm a quiet laid back guy who enjoys doing charity work during the weekend, going out with friends, and learning to cook new dishes. I'm looking for a clean place, close to a station, and with an ensuite bathroom and toilet to move into for the long-term. I come with a car, so I'd appreciate if the property comes with parking, or safe on street parking. I would love to visit the property for an inspection and to introduce myself personally.
