HI!!!! I'm an art student at LCI Melbourne, and am in need of a place to live whilst I spend my time at uni and working from 7am to eventually be able to pay my HECS and support my butter chicken addiction. I love to cook and will happily make meals for my house fam, am into the best music ever (not at all subjective) and honestly spend most of my time out of the house. When I'm at home I will typically nap between shifts, study, make art and watch Netflix. Looking for a homely feelin' home with some fab people. XoX
Hi, my name is Finnlay. I'm looking for somewhere close to the city, easily accessible. I'm moving down from North Queensland to study music at AIM in Melbourne which is located in the CBD. A bit about myself - well I'm a muso. And I'm a bit of a hippy. I play lots of music as well as write and produce my own work. Recently I've been living the free life in camper van in Townsville. I'm very easy going and friendly. Might come across shy at first but underneath I'm just a happy and gentle person. I keep an open mind set when it comes to other people, and other people's lifestyle choices. I do not judge. I do tend to keep to myself most of the time, but I am looking forward to making new friends and developing a social network. When it comes to living with me I show respect just as I would expect to be respected. I clean up after myself and I stay very tidy. I respect the rules and chores/duties and I make it a high priority to pay rent on time. Hoping to move sooner than later. Currently I am still in North Queensland but am very eager to move down and start my new life in Melbourne.
I’m Kathryn, a 26 year old chick from Alabama, USA who loves to explore new places. I’m a yoga teacher who also works in retail. For the last 7 months I’ve been teaching and running a B&B up in Airlie Beach but am very excited to move to Melbourne to put myself in a more challenging teaching and learning environment. I love meeting new people and socializing, but also love and respect the need for others’ (and my own) chill and alone time; I definitely like my quiet nights in with some good ole Netflix! Generally I’m in bed before 11pm and prefer to wake between 6-9am depending on my work schedule. In my spare time I like to walk, hike, read, eat good food, relax in the park and practice yoga. I’ve also got a car so am keen for day or weekend missions with flatmates or new friends! I’m friendly and respectful and always pay my rent on time. I’m clean and tidy, especially with regard to common spaces (although I’m not obsessive).
My name's Carolyn 🙂 I’m a 27 year old, full time student. I study Speech Pathology in the city. I've recently moved out of a full time care position. I’m looking for something soon, long-term, and a safe place that feels like home. I've had previous sharing experience, so I come house trained. I’m neat, friendly and easy-going... And an open communicator. I enjoy BBQs, going to gig’s, shared TV watching, reading, tennis, films, playing and listening to music. I love nature and the outdoors... Music is very much a love of mine, I have a few instruments and play them, but I'm considerate with timing and noise (have headphones!) I'm very much into respecting others, their space and peaceful living. I like to be involved and contributing to a community feel of a place, but also really enjoy my alone time some days. I have a cat called Froot who'd be coming with me. He’s fully house trained and mostly an indoor guy because he’s scared of birds. We go for outside walks 🍃🐈 🐾on his lead... He also turns into a good alarm clock if you ever feed him. I'm a relatively busy person that likes focusing on my studies. I volunteer at the Children First Foundation, and have a boyfriend who's place I stay at sometimes. I'm financially reliable and pay my bills on time... I receive government funding while I'm studying that covers rent. As well as currently looking for a new job on top of this. I'm not looking for a party house. I don't smoke or do drugs. I like a scotch every so often with a movie. I'm LGBT+ friendly. Easy to get along with. I like being environmentally conscious, but don't push my views on others. NRSA approved. Have a valid police check... ? I'm looking for places with aircon, dishwashers, etc... Something easy to clean. With a small garden if available. I come with: - My bedroom furnishings. - L shaped couch. - Small coffee table. - A rug. - a coffee machine. - A desk. - A bookcase. - An outdoor table (could be used as a dining table). - Small outdoor bar fridge. - Sound system. - TV. - TV unit. - Playstation 2 & 3. - Heaps of 64 games. - An extensive DVD collections. - Kitchenware. - Plants :) (these can be kept in storage if space doesn't permit). Anything else you'd like to know please feel free to ask! So yeah, send me a PM and we'll grab a coffee or something It would be great to hear from you! Thanks, Carolyn.
We have both been living out of home for around 18 months, with housemates. We're always keen to help out around the house. We are both tidy and clean and always leave the toilet seat down (hahaha, but seriously we do). We have been together for over a year and have been living together since the start of 2018. We don't plan to be invisible housemates, but we won't get under your feet either. I'm Jacob, I'm in my last year of Nursing. Currently working part-time as a delivery driver for Coles Online and casually as an in-home disability support worker. I'm fairly quiet and happy to keep to myself, but always welcome a decent conversation and I love getting to know people. Most of my time is spent working, being at uni and studying. I love a glass of wine or a decent coffee and chilling out with a movie/TV. I'm Teejae, I'm studying science at Swinburne and currently looking for part-time/full-time work. I'm a pretty social person but every now and then I like to have time to myself to wind down. I love a good meal and a good beer, and I like to think I know my way around a kitchen. I spend most of my time studying, exploring the parks/gardens of Melbourne, Netflix-ing and seeing my friends/family.
Working full time in the city having just completed masters degree in international development. I play soccer two nights per week and take Arabic classes on the side. I'm interested in travel, reading, politics, and soccer. I like (vegan and non-vegan) cooking but I can't guarantee the final product is brilliant. Looking for accommodation for a minimum of three months with the option to extend for longer.
Hey there! I'm a creative writing student at La Trobe, working in Hawthorn as a salon assistant. I love art and spend a good deal of my spare time at home in my own space, painting and drawing. I also love yoga, learning guitar and Seinfeld is my go-to show. I appreciate a clean house and am very respectful. Message me if this sounds like I'd be right for your place or team up :)
I'm easy going, and I love keeping things clean and tidy. I like to work on an active lifestyle in between running a startup business and co-parenting a super cute beagle called Oliver. I like to have a chat and a beer occasionally, cook and go for road trips, hikes.
Looking for a decent place to move into for 6+ months come May. So I can live, study & work when I'm back in Melbourne again. Place needs to already be home to some cool, trustworthy people who got their own thing going on, but are positive and down with reality. I've lots of experience sharing, am privately renting presently, and can get you actual references if need be. Budget = $250 pw max. (inc bills/inner city location or both) Anywhere close by a station or where the city's within walking distance - with secure backyard - is blitz for me & my furbaby Taco. Taco is a house-trained, medium x-breed (Pointer etc), great to live with - friendly and quiet, except if something suss is going down. Me, I'm just an idiosyncratic badass ie I may have been born yesterday, but I stayed up all night - I've plenty going on so I'm busy enough as is - So only message me if you're genuine. I'm clean, easy-going, give respect where I get it & like my people much the same +enjoy my own space. Up for cooking communally every now & then as is well fun, and appreciate people with good vibes; happy-go-lucky aka fun or chill busy people ~ Not people who want to get all up in my business. Love music, art, being active, dancing, misadventures, reading, etc.. also down for at home early morning, or alternately, evening yoga sessions should time be on my side. If this bio sounds good to you & you love animals then I think we got a match so get in touch! No misogynists, bigots, homophobes, racists, liars, thieves or sociopaths - 'Cause I'm not buying what you're selling. I'm cool with everyone else though! ^_^ Luna♡☆
Hi, my name is Lauren. I am a full time professional working in the CBD. Interests include reading, art, exploring the city and going gooey over all cats/dogs in the area. At home, I am friendly and easygoing and always pick up my share of the cleaning. I am interested in sharing a place with one other person, preferably also employed. I don't need to be best friends with the person I'm living with but it is nice to share conversations and maybe have some joint MKR viewing sessions :) I think open and respectful communication is the most important thing in share houses. Would prefer houses/units over big high rises and would like own bathroom if possible. Give me a buzz if you have any other questions or think we could work well as housemates. *Move date is estimate only. Flexible.
Hi! My name is Caitlin, i'm a 24 year old Social Work student, in my last semester at Monash, finishing in June. I work part-time alongside uni at the moment but i'll soon likely be working full time as a social worker. I come with a lop-eared bunny called Isabelle, an indoor bun who lives in a hutch, very quiet and clean. She loves a good pat and is very cute! I spend my spare time binge-watching netflix and making art. I'm a friendly open-minded person who loves a good chat and wine, and socialising on the weekend, but also time alone. I would like to find housemates who are also looking to make a comfortable, warm home together and might occasionally have meals or some drinks together! Tidy but not too worried about a bit of mess, I would like to live with housemates who are similar. My partner would be over every so often but we definitely respect other people's space in the house. Looking for a home with housemates who want a similar vibe! Ideally I would like to team up to start a new sharehouse with two or three other people however i'm open to existing houses as well. I'd like to move around May but i'm flexible for the right people. Please message me if it sounds like I might be a good fit!
I’m Gareth, a 34yo working professional. I work full time as a business development manager for an engineering company with a national customer base, meaning I travel quite regularly interstate for work. I sometimes also work from home. I have a great sense of humour, am responsible, considerate and respectful. Ideally I’ll be looking at moving into a 2 bedroom share house with a clean friendly person / persons. Some outdoor space would be ideal as I do have a beautiful selection of indoor and outdoor plants that I would like to bring and may also do the occasional odd repair to my surfboards or convert new furniture into unique vintage pieces. I’m open to being flexible with my living needs so please drop me a line if you think there is something that may be suitable. I do also own my own furniture (bed, couches, fridge, washing machine etc) if needed or I’m happy to put them into storage. Mature but young at heart, caring, nurturing, sociable but respecting of personal space. Conscientious and neat. Love to cook and socialise over food/drink or sit on the couch with a glass of red watching films or a David Attenborough documentary.
Hi, I'm an Italian guy just arrived in Melbourne, I work as a chef and I'm just trying to get my permanent visa cause I felt in love for Australia. I'd like to find a nice clean place that it could make feel at home, I'm an easygoing, very clean and tidy person. Of course as italian, I love food so much :), music, arts and people. Just trying to find a nice place with nice housemates around here :) Cheers
Friendly, respectful and neat housemate. No pets, non-smoker. Full-time government job in the CBD.
Physics student at Melbourne Uni working in hospitality looking for a relaxed place where conversation isn't always expected and a sometimes a simple 'hey, how are you' is fine. I love reading - science fiction is my favourite genre, but anything with pages will keep me happy. Big fan of video games and movies (horror's the way to go with them) too, and can easily spend an afternoon watching pretty much anything. When I'm bored I like to go for long walks, or try to do something creative. Fairly clean by nature, since cleaning and reorganising is my favourite way to procrastinate, but not fussy so long as other people's stuff isn't in the way. Can't say I'm the best at starting conversations but I can still happily talk to people pretty much whenever, and hold my ground on most topics. Got a pretty twisted sense of humour once I've downed a few, which is a great way to kill an evening. I pride myself on being honest and straightforward.
I'm just super easy to live with, a funny vibe to be around with and pretty much can socialise with anybody. At the moment, I work as a bookkeeper from 9-5 in Collingwood, that's why I need to find another accommodation which is closer to the office. Even with tight schedule, on the weekdays/ weekends, I'd be down to do social activities such as house meal/ gigs/ festival/ drinking nights etc. as establishing relationships is one of my main goals. I'm more than ready to move in. Please hit me up if you think i'm your potential housemate.
I just got back from a year abroad in Toulouse, France, and am looking for a new place to live and new roommates/friends to meet! I'm currently in my last year of aerospace engineering study at RMIT, as well as working part time in sales to make ends meet. I have a busy lifestyle, but am always keen for a chat, drink, meal or adventure when we're all around!
Hey so my friend Steve (27yo) and myself (Dan - 32yo) are looking for a third person to team up with and find a 3 bedroom around Northcote or similar and aiming for the first week of April. We're both from Melbourne and are experienced house sharers, well mannered, quite clean and respectful dudes. Also pretty creative and both into music. Not looking for a nightclub house but are normally up for a night out on the weekends. Both of us enjoy some time to ourselves at home too. I work full time for a wine company in distribution during normal day hours and would typically be into sharing meals at home or popping out for dinner. I play a bit of guitar and stuff (not currently in a band) but would have any amps respectfully dialed down to 2 or 3 at home! Normally head out on the weekends at gigs. Smoker outdoors. Can watch the footy but it takes a backseat to music. Steve is a chef at a place in Fitzroy and works pretty regular full time hours. He's a gent, loves a gig and I recommend getting around him! We're after a guy or girl of similar age and taste. Someone who enjoys a laugh and is generally respectful and a bit of fun in a share house. If you're on a similar page hit us up!
I'm friendly, amiable and respectful. I am clean and timely with payments. I love to cook, do acro yoga, read a lot and enjoy a glass of red wine. I am interested in a wide range of things like self improvement, entrepreneurship, sci fi and all kinds of silly things. I will always entertain a new idea! I'm looking for a house that works and where I can contribute to a positive vibe. I work for man with a van, drive uber and have a few side hustles that keep me busy :)
I'm a warm hearted, creative, who has spent the last 17 years living overseas, mainly in Europe. Have just returned to Melbourne (which over all of these years has remained one of my favourite places to live), and am looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones as I prepare for embarking on PhD studies in performance/fine art. The place where I live is important to me - light, spaciousness, and ideally an outside space, or close to parklands/the river, a creek... And clean, though not sterile. I love to cook and share meals with friends/housemates, but also appreciate quiet time and allowing the people I'm around to have their own space - I think I'm pretty sensitive to others. General feedback is that I'm a happy person to be around. My dream home includes a studio space!
Hi. Starting work at The Mercy Hospital at the start of June. Like most people, I am easy going with a broad array of tolerances except for smokers, ultra-left/right/(insert any other extreme politic) wingers and platted mullets. Will be working and studying so not looking for a frat house. Like most, I have had some fantastic and not so fantastic share house experiences so have a good idea what it takes to make it work. A genuine sense of mutual understanding and respect is the essential. .
