Hi! I'm looking for a couple of great housemates to live with. I'm a full time paramedic so ideally looking for other shift workers/or people who can understand my odd hours. I'm friendly, clean, love keeping fit, but love drinking gin and eating good food with good company! Ideally would like to live with other females but also flexible if I find great housemates!
*I Literally was accepted & moved into a townhouse a month ago, just found out the landlord is moving back in so we're all going. Help me out? :) Moved to Melbourne years ago from Brisbane, pretty chilled; don't mind for a chat. Love the leafy suburb where I live and have for a year, and my housemates! Work full time, try to keep fit. Always pay bills & rent on time. Also been trusted with MANY housesits so I know how to clean, even how to change a toilet roll and take a bin out :)
Hey there! I am an occupational therapy student/mental health worker from California looking for accommodation for about a year. I'm more than happy to share house keeping duties and contribute to household items. I'm also hoping to find a place with a space to park my car, or with street parking available. A bit about me: I would consider myself tidy, considerate, and easy to get along with. Some of my interests include reading, the environment, sustainability, rock climbing, attempts at baking, and photography. I'm open to meeting people from all different walks of life; and would like to stay in a house share that has an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in it.
Oh hey! My name's Ash and I'm a 25 year old student (studying illustration at Melbourne Polytechnic) I've been told a million times I'm easy going but I'll let you decide that for yourself :) I love chilling, eating, music, company, chatting and TV shows but I also love doing my own thing, so I'm happy living with anyone. I'm clean, always pay my rent and bills on time, have great manners, LGBT+ friendly, I love dogs and cats and I will never walk into your room unannounced cause that's a weird thing to do. Looking to move in around 13thish of Feb! Maybe a bit before, maybe a bit after! If I sound at all appealing don't hesitate to send me a message!
Hi there! I'm Erica, I'm 28, and I am moving to Melbourne to start an ICU registrar job in mid-February. I'm a shift worker but that doesn't mean I'm a grouchy bear you have to tiptoe around! Mostly it means I work some weekends and nights so you'll have days when you get the place to yourself, and I have days when I can potter around the house and experiment in the kitchen without getting under your feet. When I'm not at work or pretending to study I like to drink coffee, eat brunch and go hunting for vintage dresses in op shops. I'm a dog tragic so I will point out every cute puppy that crosses my path. When I'm at home I like to read, garden and bake, and I'm hoping to start sewing again this year. I try really hard to be a friendly, respectful housemate and I try to communicate honestly and effectively so if you're similar in your outlook we'll probably get along well! I like to chat with housemates after work and watch netflix and drink wine, or go out for breakfast or drinks, but I also have days where I get home and just want to go to bed so I hope you're ok with either option. I'm looking for somewhere on the Hurstbridge train line or within easy driving of Heidelberg, with a dishwasher and off-street car park, or readily available on-street parking. Ideally I'd have my own bathroom but if you're super amazing I can probably deal with sharing a bathroom with one other person. I am 100% in favour of pitching in for a regular cleaner to keep the house sparkling and minimise potential sources of friction in the household. I come almost fully housetrained and can provide most house furnishings including fridge/washer/dryer, kitchen equipment, lounge and dining room furniture and a spare bed if there's a spare room in the house for visitors. Also I have a little wine fridge although it might not be as necessary in Melbourne as it has been in central Queensland. At this stage I have a six month contract with a likelihood of a further six months' extension if I don't get onto a training pathway back home this year. Send me a message if you think we'd get along :)
I am Bianca, 25, I am originally from Melbourne and work part time as a Practice Nurse in a GP clinic. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, going to the gym and yoga. When I am at home I like to either read, listen to music, watch movies and sometimes have friends over. On the weekends I like to be out and about with friends and family. I also enjoy travelling, going to markets and exploring new places. I am looking to live with one other person who is tidy with communal space and is interested in creating a relaxed home environment. I appreciate open communication with the person I live with. I am up for a chat and also respect peoples space.
Hi, my names Till, I’m a 25 year old nurse. When I’m not working I love mucking around in the garden, cooking vego foods and attempting to use oil paints. I’m fairly laid back and can ease into most environments. I am quite house proud, I love share houses that are also homes. My previous houses have all been really communal; sharing meals and beers regularly, but I also understand everyone’s need for space. I do have a little cat called Pippa, she enjoys lounging around and chasing flies. If however you are a no pets household there is the option for her to live with my girlfriend. Feel free to message me with any other questions you may have!
I’m currently studying full time at Rmit and working Part time. I’m clean, quiet and respectful of all my housemates and there belongings. Usually away most weekends. Always up for a chat and good time, but understand the need for privacy. Looking for a house with like minded friendly people :)
Hi, I'm Lisa, I'm a 46 year old woman... high school teacher is my occupation, however I'm in the middle of a two year sabbatical and am working casually at the moment, 3 or 4 days a week. I am living in an apartment on my own at the moment and have been for the last few years, however the rent in Clifton Hill has become unsustainable in the current situation. House aesthetics are quite important to me, I like my home to be a lovely space. I have a few mid century style pieces of furniture and like that stripped back aesthetic. I've a lot of indoor plants and love to bring the outside inside. I'm also a little bit creative, occasionally doing some ceramic work. Pretty much a pescatarian. If this all seems to suit you, please be in touch and let me know. Thanking you kindly, LIsa :)
Relatively clean and quiet single looking for a place closer to work (in Camberwell). I work full time and my passion is drinking red wine and watching terrible reality TV.
Hi there! My name is Isabelle and I'm 20 years old. I'm a student from the Netherlands and I'm looking for a room during the time of my internship. I'm looking forward for this new adventure and would love to meet new people to hang out with.
Hi my names jess, I work at Austin hospital during the day and by night enjoy a wine or 2 and a good book. I sporadically bake and have a fish. I'm looking for a new home with people that enjoy a chat or two! Looking to move in before Feb 10th (when my current lease expires)
Hi my name is Levi Quinn and I'm looking for a place to live in close to the CBD, as I've recently gotten a job in Port Melbourne. Still currently living in my home in Tasmania. I'm due to start my new job on February 11th and will likely travel over the week before to check out potential houses and hopefully move in. Not extremely fussy on move in date but a week or so either side of 11/02/19 would be great. Would also be happy to team up with the right people to apply for a new rental. About me: * I'm a 23 year old male * Coming from Hobart where I’ve lived for the last 12 years * Dual trade electrician by profession where I’ll be working Full Time at SAGE Automation in Port Melbourne * Like being tidy, without being neurotic about it * Follow Rugby and AFL * Non-smoker * Definite dog person but love all pets * Like watching Netflix series in my down time * Enjoy a beer or rum at the end of the week * Love my outdoor activities such as fishing, diving, camping, etc * Very social person so always up for a chat and doing something with people What I'm trying to find: * Somewhere nearby to the CBD (within 25 minutes by car) * Around $275 a week + Bond * Preferably a house rather than an apartment/unit with on or off street parking for my work vehicle. Some sort of yard and/or storage would be nice, but not essential * Long term lease or the opportunity for it * Fully furnished would be ideal as I don’t have much to offer furnishing wise as I’ll be driving up from Tassie with not a whole lot. That being said I would be happy to contribute to buying furniture once moved in * Chill and social housemates that are like minded who wouldn’t be opposed to cooking and eating meals together every now and then as well as generally hanging out * Cool bars/pubs/cafes nearby a bonus Cheers 🍻
Hey! I'm Orla, and I am moving to Melbourne to start a trainee-ship program with a small ballet company, while also looking for part-time work. I'm a friendly and clean person to live with. Interested in exploring nature, travelling, reading and writing. I would love to be able to socialise with my future housemates if we get along, but also enjoy being independent and doing my own thing.
Hi! I'm currently working part time as a plant merchandiser (roughly 4 days a week) and I volunteer saturday mornings at an op shop in Fairfield. I completed a bachelor of film production in 2017 and I'm interested in all kinds of arts and crafts as well stand up comedy and plants and gardening. In my spare time I like to visit parks, go to the cinema and art galleries and occasional shopping and sightseeing. I also like to sleep in and watch tv series, play video games, practice my drawing, work on jigsaw puzzles and other small craft activities . I'm a friendly and quiet person. I keep my things tidy and am always happy to help out with cleaning and chores. I can be a bit introverted before I get to know people but I'd love to make more friends and go out to places sometimes. I'm open minded and honest and looking for a stress free share house to join.
Hi, I'm Johanna. I'm 42 and work as a consultant in the community sector. My long-time shared house was sold recently so I'm looking for a new place to call home. I've lived with many flatmates over the years - friends, in-laws and strangers who've become friends, so I feel quite experienced in sharing a house! I understand the importance of paying bills and rent on time, doing my share of the cleaning, tidiness in communal spaces, and taking responsibility for things around the home & garden. It makes for a relaxed & harmonious home, and a great place to come home to for everyone. I'm fairly independent but social too, and tend to get to know my housemates well over time through conversations and hilarity about life and self. I'm interested in the wider world, philosophy, social issues and the environment. I'm mindful of my energy use and I'm conscious of trying to reduce waste, especially plastic, and I like to compost, re-use and recycle. I also like to use environmentally friendly/low chemical products where possible. I would be a good fit for a household where these things are important or of interest to the other housemates too. I'd love to find a new home somewhere around Brunswick East, Brunswick, Northcote, Alphington, or nearby suburbs, with some like-minded and experienced share-housers and potential new friends. My move in date is a guide (20 Jan) - there's some flexibility there. Look forward to meeting you soon!
Hi, My name is Reece. I'm a 31 year old student that works part time (20/30 hrs pw) and am currently looking for a room in a share house for myself and my dog Earl. I'm respectful, clean, easygoing but dedicated. I take pride in keeping a comfortable and tidy house and doing my part. I'd love to live in a place with a respectful and positive dynamic between the housemates. I'm interested in arts, film, music, literature, politics, history, philosophy, cooking, AFL and nature. I mainly work weekends and spend my weeks taking my dog on adventures and getting out and about when I'm not studying. Earl is a 4 year old Grey Hound x Husky. He's impeccably house trained and well mannered. Does not really bark, nor chew or dig. He's an absolute chiller and seems to enjoy spending most his time lazing on the couch having a cuddle when he is not out on adventures with me. He could be described as a giant kitty with alot of personality. Currently he is with me only part time, and stays with a friend over the weekends whilst I work. Rarely do I leave him home alone and never for longer and an hour or two. A little shy at first, once he gets to know you he is loving, loyal, funny and big sook.
Young professional working full-time, looking to join an existing share house in Melbourne’s north. I’m flexible when it comes to number of housemates, furnishing, parking etc. Proximity to public transport would be great. LGBTI+ friendly. Pets are always a bonus! I’m flexible with move-in dates: anytime up to late January would be suitable. I’m hoping to find somewhere long-term. I am a lawyer working in the CBD, so I am typically out of the house from 8am until 6pm on weekdays. On weekends, I enjoy getting outside for hiking, swimming and playing tennis. I love seeing live music and really enjoy cooking - always looking for recipe testers if you’re happy to be a guinea pig! I’m not a huge partier but I do enjoy indulging in the odd wine, cheese and Netflix night. I’ve lived in share houses for 5 years, so I know the drill. I’m a clean person and am happy to take initiative doing things around the house. Hoping to find a relaxed sharehouse with likeminded people who respect each other's space, but also enjoy sharing a meal or hanging out.
Hi! I'm Kat! a mid 20s employed Nanny who's originally from Newcastle in NSW but converted to Melbourne 4 years ago. I enjoy live music, Netflix binge watching, thinking I'm funny, astrology, solid banter and eating out cause I'm a foodie but terrible cook. I'm an open minded, VERY CLEAN and tidy human who's looking for a home, not just a house. Preferably modern with my own bathroom but I’m flexible. I have zero gender preferences and love a friendly but low-key household. Occasional housemate parties, pub dinners, BBQ’s etc Anyway, if I sound like someone you'd like to coexist with shoot me a message :)
Hello there! It is I, your future housemate. I’m generally a fastidiously clean creature across my bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. I love nothing more than reading a good book in bed on some fresh sheets or being on a beach in the sun. I have a high alcohol tolerance, and would gladly Netflix binge and wine and cheese with you any given night of the week. Would also be happy to crash in bed immediately after getting home due to Mondayitis. It happens. On weekends, I like to go window shopping and makeup swatching. I will always let you know when The Iconic/ASOS/etc are having further discounts and sales as a bonus. I work FT in the city, in research for government (hence have a stable income for timely rent and bills payment). I've lived with other housemates before, am respectful of privacy, and like keeping shared areas clean and tidy with minimal fuss and zero passive aggressiveness. I moved to Melbourne only just over a year ago for work, and I only know a handful of friends here so I'm hardly ever partying and even then, I’m just tagging along with my boyfriend’s friends lol. My boyfriend is mindful and respectful of not coming over too often and intruding on housemates' space. If there were any issues, I'd be happy to hang at his place more often instead. Pretty flexible :) Let me know if you think we’d be good housemates and have a room available for me!
Hello, we are Sam (24) and Hannah (25). We both work full time and have been living in Melbourne for about 6 months. We moved down from the Gold Coast and both grew up in northern NSW (Byron area). We are currently living with family in Greensborough and would like to move a bit closer to the city to experience more of what Melbourne has to offer. We would like to live in Fairfield, Northcote, Fitzroy, Collingwood area. Hannah is an Occupational Therapist working two positions in aged care and disability work. Sam currently works at Dan Murphys and is in the process of applying for study down here. We are both outdoor loving people. We love to go hiking, go to the beach and anything to get us out of the house really. We also love cooking and eating good food from all different cultures. We are generally not big party people but don't mind the odd night out or the odd drink in the afternoon. We are both clean and organised kinds of people and appreciate a tidy and clean home and have both lived in shared accommodation before. We are hoping to make some more friends down here and settle in a bit more to the Melbourne life!
