Hey guys, I’m looking to move in to a place in the inner north at the start of Feb 2019. I’m a psychology student at ANU and I’m pretty easy going. I’d love to live with some respectful and friendly people, I’m not concerned about gender, and I would ideally have at least two housemates (the more the merrier!). I’m clean and tidy and would prefer my housemates to be the same in shared spaces. I'm a fan of regular "house meetings" aka drinks (be it tea or beer) and hanging out. I love animals and will go crazy for pets! I also enjoy cooking together every now and again. If you think we’d get on, let’s chat!
Hi there! I'm Maddie and I'm studying Marketing and Advertising at UC (maybe at ANU next year) I am looking for a place or to team up to find a place, to live for at least a year. I'm a non-smoker, chilled, tidy and respectful of other people's things/space. I'm currently employed as a tennis coach so am away almost all day with uni in the morning and coaching afternoon/night. I love to chat and relax with friends but also would like my own time for things like studying and respect housemates privacy wishes. My interests include sports, gaming, sewing, movie nights and of course anything with good company (and cheese platters!) I'm not a party animal by any stretch but do enjoy the company of friends. I am also a avid baker and make a mean lemon meringue pie if i do say so myself. I have no problems with pets of any kind and in fact would love it. Please don't hesitate to get in touch and exchange numbers to chat further. Hope to hear from you! Cheers :)
I needed a delicious glass of Malbec to start this profile. If you don't know what Malbec is.....then listen closely. What you are hearing is the sound of Argentinian winemakers weeping uncontrollably. That was a touch dramatic... Anyway, about myself. I'm 34, full time professional and former public servant (now I work for a certain New Zealand based outdoor gear retailer). If I've learnt anything from living in 9 cities on 3 continents, it's that flexibility, a good sense of humour, and compassion go a long way. I enjoy a social drink and you're likely to find me in the kitchen with a glass of red and something delicious in the pan. And yes, I clean up after myself:) While I do love sincere conversation and genuinely like to connect with the people I'm living with, I'm also very respectful of others' space and privacy. If I've had a hard day I'll probably retreat to my room to watch Scandinavian crime dramas and possibly indulge in some connoisseur icecream. Having lived in a few share houses, it's about balance. I'm one of those rare people who straddles the introvert/extrovert divide (INFP/ENFP split), so I tend to get along well with both because I have both those aspects to my personality. Wow, this is starting to feel like an essay, so I won't keep you much longer. I'm just a fan of the written word, and I generally don't do things by half-measure. What am I looking for in the ideal room? Hopefully it's large enough to at least fit a double bed, desk, chair, and set of drawers. I would love to find a furnished room, but if it's unfurnished, it's nothing Ikea can't remedy (and watching me assemble Ikea furniture is amusing....like watching fur seals trying to go up a staircase. It's a trainwreck but you can't look away...) Anything else I should mention about myself? I enjoy healthy food, good books, good tv series, current affairs (I was an Asian Studies and Language major at uni), languages (a little Korean and French), exercise, and if it weren't for a somewhat recent MTB crash on Stromlo, I'd probably be mountain biking every other day. At the moment I'm just filling the void with some good hill-running. As for the kind of household I'd ideally try to find? A place with warm and friendly people basically. Watching movies together from time to time and sharing a drink and a laugh. Cooking in the kitchen while swapping stories about the insanity and the hilarity that is life. Sharing the load, everyone pitching in to clean occasionally in their spare time so no single housemate is left doing the majority of the cleaning. So, if you're looking for an easy going, responsible, down to earth, and kind housemate...please get in contact:) I'm ready to move from about December 3rd but I'm flexible. Getting in contact: I work full-time so the best way to get in touch is by email or text message. Look forward to hearing from you :) Cheers, Marty
Hello, we are exchange students coming to Canberra from Canada for Semester 1 in 2019. One of us is studying at ANU and the other at UoCanberra. We are both clean roommates, who are looking to be immersed in what the city has to offer, and super excited to meet new people!
Just a silly lad without a dad who enjoys making people laugh. Also I make a pretty mean salsa. I know how to turn on a vacuum and push a broom across the floor. Currently studying year 12 so I’ll be out of the house mon - fri. I’m a dam good artist and self professed comedian but I understand when to be serious. I’ve been looking after myself for 3 years now and have been having a great time doing it. I can also provide some pretty good references on request😊
I am Dean, a Graduate in the APS - with previous experience in the Queensland State Government. I hold a Law Degree from Griffith University. I am looking to move into a house/apartment in Canberra in February 2019 - either in the inner north or inner south of Canberra. I am a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys making friends, going out to bars and having adventures. I am a clean person, who is easy to talk to and get along with. I am originally from Esk (a small country town) in Queensland about 100km's North West of Brisbane.
We’re two friends, who enjoy socialising but also respect people’s space 🙂. We’ve lived in sharehouses before so we know the importance of being clean and considerate to other roommates. We have a great sense of humour too.
We are kind, courteous and polite who know how to respect a home. We are Phd and Honours students and also receive income through scholarships and casual work. Currently, looking for a place starting Feb 2019.
24 year old friendly and approachable male Into superhero movies and videogames and love a semi-social environment where personal space is respected but not always a necessity! love a cold beer and the football from time to time and regularly go for hikes and camping in Canberra's surrounding mountains Love a good coffee and greatly enjoy animals and any house with pets would be wonderful! I am very adaptable and am happy to live in any sort of environment Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm a single gal in her early forties, employed professional. Originally from Adelaide and moved to canberra a couple years ago for work. I really love the bush setting of Canberra and am opening to living anywhere within an hour of Belconnen. I'm clean and tidy but not anal, friendly but still respectful of others privacy, space and belongings. I enjoy yoga, dance, bushwalking and healthy living (with a glass wine!). Looking for a room with its own bathroom for 6 - 12 months.
I am a single full-time working professional about to progress in a graduate APS role in Canberra, in the Belconnen area. Open to areas nearby that are within a half-hour bike ride range. I'm quiet and keep to myself mostly but the experience of moving out and sharing a place will help to change things up and get me more active. I'm all about finding a place where we can have an amazing team and build a home out of. I will have a car, bicycle and some personal furniture including bed, desk & chair with computer, and a 60" Plasma TV. Currently, I am mainly seeking a person for a teamup.
I'm moving to Canberra from northern NSW to start work in the APS in 2019. I'm tidy, reliable, respectful, and always up for a friendly chat or rant about the daily grind. I hope to make some great friends that I can have fun with on weekends, whether that be cooking in our pjs, having movie marathons, or going on ski trips!
Hi there, I'm Liza and I'm looking for a long-term rental for 2019. I'm 24 y.o. studying physiotherapy full time at the University of Canberra. I have lived independently in a number of share houses in the past. I'm very flexible and always down to chat/hang out. I enjoy the outdoors, I'm a non-smoker and I'm pretty easy going, tidy and clean. I'm looking to find a place with chilled room mates, close to uni and just general positive vibes. My current lease ends on the 31st of Jan but for the right place I'd be happy to look at starting an earlier contract.
Hello! I am looking for a new place to call home :-) I am in my 30's, a health orientated, environmentally conscious vegan, living an intentional life :-) I try to live low-impact and low-toxic. I am enthusiastic about the voluntary simplicity movement, co-operatives and the share-economy! I love being surrounded by beauty and simplicity in my home :-) I want to live in a peaceful and harmonious environment, one that is conducive to creative and yogic practices. I am a social introvert--warm and friendly, but recharge my energy with alone time. I work in the Cultural sector, and as a Creative Arts therapist, (and I try to have my own art-practice as well).
Hey! I'm a student at UC studying Secondary Education. I'm a pretty social person but don't mind keeping privacy. I watch a hell of a lot of movies and make a lot of food. I've been living on res (student accommodation) at UC since February and am very keen to move out and into a flat/house. My budget at the moment is about $220 max. Let me know if you're interested!
I am looking for a room in a sharehouse around the 9th of november, longer term if possible (not just a summer sublet). I work full time at the department of the environment and energy and am currently in darwin for a short term placement. I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, bouldering (or at least trying!) and generally being fit and healthy.. although i absolutely love a sweet treat. I am quite busy but like to come home to a friendly house and have a chat, share a meal or a glass of wine/beer.
I am a part-time Student at the university of Canberra and have been employed full-time in my chosen industry from the past 2 years. I have a 17Wk old Bernese Mountain Dog (Apollo) who is the most laid back bear you will ever meet, he comes everywhere with me (including inside the house) to uni etc and is only at home during the day on his own 3 days a week as I put him in day care :) He is very well behaved doesn't bark, bite but does sleep and snuggle a lot. Ideally I will need to find somewhere that has a decent sized back yard but do not mind if there are other pets as Apollo Loves everything and everyone. Please send me a message, I would love to hear from you :)
Hello, I am a working professional moving to Canberra for a new job in the public sector. As a friendly, clean, respectable and helpful father of 2 who also live in Canberra, I hope to find accommodation alone or with just one other to share. I enjoy visiting art galleries, museums, classical music, wine tasting and walks.

I'm easy going, enjoy sharing a meal, watching TV shows, reading, and being active. On my days off you're likely to find me hitting the gym or playing futsal. My preference is for a sharehouse with one or two other people. I'm friendly but know how to give give people space. I can look after a home and keep things clean. If it sounds like I'd be a good fit please feel free to call or message me.
Hey there all, I’m a part time/full time retail assistant manager (Jay Jays) at Woden and Belconnen so I’m looking for a place convenient for public transportation (I don’t drive). I’m 20 in January and have lived out of home for 2-3 years and had multiple apartment leases with real estate in both Melbourne and Townsville. I am a friendly and easy going chic who is great for a chat. I have some artsy habits, a bit spiritual and a love of all things cooking (yes I will cook for you 😂). I am clean and tidy (having grown up with military parents, lots of discipline and respect was taught) and I’m fairly quiet apart from some occasion music and I love my own space and privacy. As long as we all respect eachother we will get along wonderfully ☺️
Hi, I'm an easy going but also shy at first guy who works in childcare and wants a household rather than a group of strangers living together. I like board games and computer games and i like to cook.
Hello :) My name is Manjari, originally from Melbourne, and I currently work full time in the Public Service. I'm friendly and social but like my own space and respect the privacy of others. I'm clean and tidy by nature. My current lease is almost up so looking to move into a new home before mid-December :)
I'm Steph, 23 but old at heart. I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne for a graduate program. Even though I am a graduate I've been working for a year as a research assistant and I've lived away from home for 5 years (I'm originally from Tasmania), so I'm not clueless when it comes to sharing my space. My hobbies are bushwalking and crochet while watching my latest show on netflix.
Hi! My name is Monique. I'm looking for a permanent place to live. I'm a young professional working full time in the city. I'm a pretty quiet person, clean and tidy too. I play soccer on the weekends and take my dog out for adventures. Speaking of, I have a gorgeous chocolate labrador named Nala who is 1 and a half years old. She sleeps in my room and loves people and other dogs (and is scared of cats). She spends her days outside but comes in when I'm home (she isn't allowed on furniture though). She is toilet trained and very well behaved. I also am becoming a dog training instructor - nala and I love learning new tricks. I've lived in share houses for the past 2 years and can provide references. I have a boyfriend and we usually hang out a couple times a week. I'm not a party person - I tend to go out to the movies and pub with friends and like to have a fun but pretty chilled time. My preferred moving date is the 18th of August. If you think we might be suitable to team up give us a yell and Nala and I can come out and meet you! If you have any questions you'd like to ask of me I'm happy to answer. Thanks! Monique
I have been living in Canberra for six months so far. I work full time with the ACT public service, and am based in Belconnen. I like cooking, sewing, singing, painting, and movies! I'm tidy and respectful, and not really into big parties. I have a two year old white-and-tabby indoor cat in Melbourne who I am looking to bring to Canberra. She's sweet and happy, doesn't really bother people, and has a rear joint displaysia which means she can't jump onto kitchen benches, and can't free-range outside. I'm looking for an unfurnished room in a quiet, laid-back house. Ideally with heating and cooling, off street parking, and some kind of outside space. I have a tv, freezer, and bedroom furniture, and am happy to provide any other furniture if needed.
I'm a registered nurse working for ACTHealth and am looking for a room in a share house near to the hospital. I love dogs, am super clean, friendly and love to bake 😄. You wont see me all that often as I'll either be at work, the gym or sleeping. I am moving from a 12 share dormitory so I know how to live with many people 😊
Hey hey hey. I'm a full time worker. But I don't work the average 9-5 hours. Start a little later and therefore finish a little later. I'm incredibly tidy and clean. Like to think I am easy going. Can provide a washing machine, fridge, television, dining table and other communal furniture. Not looking to share with more than one other person. Any further questions don't hesitate to shoot me through some questions!
I'm a very polite, quiet person but always down to have a chat if you're up for it. I work in hospitality at a job that I love and study at UC part-time. I enjoy listening to music playing the odd video game and catching up with my friends for a coffee. I always clean up after myself and will always help out where needed. Very tidy and respectful of peoples personal space.
I am a friendly individual who is happy to socialise but also happy to give people their own space. I am considerate of others and for the fact that I would be sharing a space with other people and would therefore pick up after myself and not leave a mess. I have a beautiful dog who is very friendly and the breed is known to be lazy, which I can confirm.
I'm a 21 year-old student about to go into my final year at the University of Canberra. I've also spent the last 2 years in a five-share so I'm no stranger to living with roommates. I love cooking new food and socialising - I'm always up for a chat but I still enjoy time to myself.
I am a student at CIT and I work part-time as a bar supervisor at QT Hotel. I like to keep the house tidy and like to keep my privacy. I also respect others' privacy but wouldn't mind occasional chat over drinks. I will mostly be working during nights and weekends and the rest of the time I will be studying.
Hi, I'm Robyn, I’m 25 and will graduate from Law/Arts halfway through next year whilst working part time. I’m pretty chill but also very clean and always pay my rent on time. I lived in student accommodation for 5 years then share houses after that, so I’m very experienced in sharing with others and being considerate! I’m not a big partier but I love to hang out and chat over cheese and dip, and I love to bake, read, or just chill out with some Netflix! I’ve always been on time with my rent and have references and proof of income available to show if needed! I bake a mean cake and love to vacuum! I'm looking for a room for at least six months (preferably a year) anywhere between Griffith in the South, Watson in the North, Bruce in the West and Ainslie in the East! I have to move out December 8, but I can start paying rent from mid-November. Looking forward to hearing from you!
so I am pretty chilled and easy going. prefer my kitchen to be clean and tidy.. excited to move with some wonderful people who can have a laugh but also respect each other's privacy. we could go for movies , cook at times but also make sure we got each other's back :)
