Hello there. Mt partner and I are looking for a short term 1 month stay. Our lease is ending 4th of December and we need somewhere to stay till the end of the year. We both work part time. I get 38 hours a week and she gets 30 hours a week. We were students but we no longer are!
Hello everyone. I'm a Melburnian moving up to Canberra in 2018 to work full time. I'm very friendly, social, tidy, funny and respectful, also fairly introverted. Appreciate cleanliness (!!), privacy and environments with positive vibes. Looking for housemates that are easy-going and fun. Hobbies include tennis, travelling, fun adventures with friends, coffees, food outings, games, anything technology related.
I'm probably the most considerate housemate you'll ever meet!! I'm easy going, relaxed and clean and tidy. I wash the dishes as I cook, clean the house once a week and don't leave unnecessary crap lying around. I keep busy with my hobbies which include photography, dancing, yoga, travel, walking my dog and bush walking. I'm always up for adventures and on weekends you'll find me out on my SUP, mountain bike riding or swimming at the cotter. I don't watch TV but can often be found watching SBS catch up, netflix or stan as a way to chill out and switch off. I'm not a party animal or have guests over very often as I like my space to be a place of refuge and zen, but I will have the occasional night out with friends every once in a while. I work full time in the public service and have been employed in the same department for the past 8 years which pays the bills, but my dream job would be a national geographic photographer travelling the world, or to have my own travel adventure business where you can go on weekend tours snow camping, kayaking or rock climbing in the blue mountains. I have a dog who likes to sleep in the sun all day and when she has humans around, she just loves attention and cuddles. She's both an inside and outside dog but happy to work around this if needs be. I'm looking for a place I can chill that's kept clean and tidy and have equally considerate housemates who are happy to have a drink and chat every now and again. Thanks!
Hi I am a recent graduate now working full time looking for a room in a sharehouse. I am clean, social and friendly. I love cooking and meeting new people. I am also a sporting person, I play ultimate frisbee competitively and love exploring the outdoors.
I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start work as a grad in the public service, looking for somewhere clean and relatively close to work. I mostly just read and watch movies at home, so I'll generally keep to myself, but do also enjoy a chat/drink (and not averse to a good party either if that's your thing). I'm a pretty tidy person, and a non-smoker.
Hello, my name is Michael. I am a international student from China studying at UC. I put most of the time in part-time working and studying as well. During the spare time, I would play basketball or go to the gym, reading books or be cooking at home. Please contact me. Thank you.
My name is Jonathan, I'm a 27 yo French student. I'm currently doing a Master of Asian and Pacific Studies at the ANU. I started in July and will finish in December 2018. I've been doing two previous Bachelor degrees, a Bachelor of Cinema back in Paris a few years ago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Tasmania from 2014 to 2016, with a last semester in South Korea. I am interested in arts, in particular cinema, and travels, cultures, societies, politics. I've lived in Australia for about 5 years, first with a Work & Holidays Visa, then for my studies. I'm very easy going, I like socialising but also having my own time occasionally. I am quiet and clean, and I enjoy social activities (movie nights, game nights, dinners with housemates and/or friends, etc). I also like outdoor activities and nature such as bushwalking, bike riding, and rafting. I'm looking for a place with friendly, easy going people, yet clean and mature. 6 months minimum, up to one year. Feel free to ask me if you have any question. :) I look forward to hearing from you! Jonathan
I'm a full-time student looking for accommodation in (preferrably) a sharehouse. I've just completed my first year at the ANU studying a bachelor of science/languages majoring in Japanese and Marine Science. Easy-to-get-along-with local Canberran and love music, dogs and a good dance and drink with friends.
Hey everyone!! About the house: We are looking for a third person to share a large modern house with us! We will be applying for 4+ bedroom homes - most likely renovated or near new. You will have the master bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite and potentially your own living area. The propective housemate will be paying $280-350ish, with the total cost of the house being $650-800. Rach will rent two bedrooms, one for herself and one for her home business, and Ash will take the final one. The house will be fully furnished only requiring you to bring your bedroom. If you do have furniture of your own I am sure we will be able to accomodate as most of the places we are interested in have multiple living spaces. A little about us: Rach works full time the for APS as a Senior Project Officer upgrading the infrastructure at APH and runs a small business after work and on weekends.. (yes, I do have time off work.. sometimes!) Somewhere in amungst this she also studies a never ending part time degree of Building and Construction Management at UC. As a result it is pretty rare that you will find her sitting on the couch or hanging around the house with nothing to do! Random fact: favourite band - red hot chilli peppers!! Ash also works full time for the APS as an Executive Assistant at the ACCC and keeps herself busy during the week at crossfit. Of a weekend she will usually either travel to our home town or catch up with friends. Random fact: salt and vinegar flavoured anything! In summary... We are pretty laid back, easy to get along with, mature and love to have friends around every now and then however are well and truely past our days of partying every weekend. We would be looking for someone who is happy to have a dinner and a drink together of an occasion, but is also happy to do their own thing most of the time. We have lived in share houses for a long time and expect everyone to clean up after themselves and be proactive in sharing the cleaning duties throughout the common areas. That being said, we aren't absolute clean freaks either. Our preference is for a male, mid to late twenties however definitely more than happy for females to get in touch too. Shoot us a message if you'd like any more info or to catch up to meet! Legends need only apply :)
I'm a fourth year uni student in Canberra, studying Chinese language and history. I'm tidy and pretty quiet, though I'm always up for a chat over a cup of tea. I'm looking for a tidy, friendly household (if you've got any cooking/cleaning rosters I'm keen to join). I love pets and I'd help walk dogs if you have them.
Hi, I'm Anna. I'm 25 and moved from Sydney to do my Primary Education Degree at the University of Canberra. I've started a permanent teaching position in Canberra and am looking for a roommate and place to call home. I'm a super clean and tidy person and enjoy keeping my space free from clutter and mess. I enjoy running and going to the gym equally as much as I enjoy wine and pizza! As much as I love socializing, I am very respectful of peoples need for privacy, quiet time and space. Whilst I'd love to find a place that is furnished but I am equally happy to go on a Kmart/Ikea shopping spree! My lease ends on the 31st of Dec, however, I am able to move in earlier.
I’m a Full time student at the Canberra Institute of Technology and I also work part time in Ainslie. I’m moving out of my student accommodation in December and looking for a new place to call home 😊
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors. - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Hi there, I'm young enthusiastic education student (Finish end of 2018) that is looking for a place to live! My preferred options are to take over student accommodation, studio or a small 2/3 bedroom share house, moving from a 5 bedroom. I love a chat, fitness, sport, playing my PlayStation 4 and a casual drink when something calls for it! I'm respectful of privacy, tidy and very friendly! Furniture wise I have everything to fill my room (including a queen size bed) but I am more than happy to store this stuff for student accommodation.
Hi! My name's Islay, and my partner's name is Jacob. We're looking for a 6 month to 12 month (or more) place that is within around 15mins drive to the city (if possible)! We're laid-back, chill people who are looking forward to a fresh living space. A little about us: We both study at ANU - I study science (biochemistry and cell/molecular biology) and Jacob studies engineering (renewable energy and theoretical physics [he's definitely the smart one!]), which is what takes up most of our time during the week. On weekends, we both work our respective jobs. We're a busy couple, but in our down time we like to cook together, take walks and watch movies (usually sci-fi). Please let us know if we sound like the kind of people you'd like to share with. We're always up for a chat :)
I'm an easy going person, happy to have a night in or a night out! I don't smoke, not the biggest fan of drugs for myself, but wont judge you! I've only been to Canberra once, so you might get some stupid questions from be about where things are, or be asked to tag along to all the tourist things! I have a dog named Mia, she is ~3 and is a rescue. Not sure of her breed she is pretty big, but she is a sweet dog. The only thing she wants is a bit of attention and maybe food! I'll be available to move in from November!
Hi, I am an international student studying accounting at University of Canberra. I love to make new friends but I also respect their privacy. I would prefer to stay very close to the university since it's my first time here. I am from India and I pretty much adjust to anyone, except smokers.I don't smoke neither do I drink. I don't have any problem with you drinking if that's the case.
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
I am a clean and tidy, friendly, easy going, relaxed housemate that is just as happy to socialize as well as do my own thing. Looking for a new place to move in to as soon as possible for at least several months while I am trying to sell my house and buy a new one. I haven't rented for a while but I am always reliable with all rent and bills.
Hi there! I'm a full-time student at ANU who also works. That means I'm pretty busy during the day but like to have a chat with my housemates when I get home, but also value privacy. My interests are (at risk of sounding like an e-harmony ad); cooking delicious food from scratch such as pizza, pasta, and muffins; going to the gym when I can and hiking Canberra's beautiful mountains, as well as hanging out with friends!
Hi, I'm Tom, I'm looking for a room in north or central Canberra. I work full time as a retail store manager and I'm generally a pretty quiet person. I'm a massive movie and music nerd, and I'm always bringing home new movies from work. I'm very easy going, tidy, and am always willing to pitch in on the cleaning. I like my own space, but am more than willing to hang out from time to time. Looking for a place to move into very soon
Originally from Newcastle I've moved to Canberra to study Actuarial Science at ANU. I'm carefree, easy to live with and love a drink!
Hey I’m Elana, I moved to Canberra at the start of the year to study at the University of Canberra. I have lived on campus accomodation for nearly 2 semesters now, but am very interested in moving out since the tenants on campus are very rowdy and I want a more quiet and relaxed environment to live in. I enjoy binge watching tv shows, excellent coffee and love cats! I am clean and mostly keep to myself but always up for a chat. Looking for a place that is hopefully close to UC
