Im a 28 year old construction worker who has just come back from traveling overseas for the last 18 months, I would like to say I'm pretty easy going and love to have a laugh. One of my best traits is always seeing the best in any situation...my cooking isn't great but i still love to try anyway.
I have an upright piano that comes with me. A hammock and stand to put on the verandah and I enjoy cheese, food, wine and good company. I like to experience life and make the most of every chance I get. I'm studying electrical engineering and working as a relief teacher. I can pay the bills (which is important... I once had a flatmate that could not... absolute disaster). I like animals, almost decided to be a vet (till I went on work experience). Not a big partier, but I do appreciate being around people. Would prefer not being strangers with my housemates and I'm looking for a place where I fit and is home. I spend my downtime travelling, camping and hiking with friends. I like to bake (didn't realize how much until I went on exchange to Vietnam where they have no ovens). Have just arrived back from Vietnam and need a place before end of feb. Would also really prefer an unfurnished bedroom :) Deal breakers: pot smokers, drugs and alcoholics. Probable deal breaker: smoking. Cheers Catherine
Hello :) Ajay and I are looking for a third awesome flatmate to join us in a house/townhouse in Richmond (or a surrounding suburb close to a train station/tram line). We've just started looking for a new place to live. Our current lease is up this Friday and I'd like to move closer to my business in Richmond. We are two friends, professionals employed full time, who are fun, hard working, very clean and reliable. We pay bills on time and are very house proud. We are looking at 3 bed, 2 bathroom places around the $240-250 mark per week each but I'm happy to pay more for ensuite and parking if we find something good. If anyone would like to start up a new house get in touch! You must like animals, having a laugh and looking for friends rather than just flatmates. We love living together and would love to find another awesome friend to live with!
Hey! I'm Kasra, A part time chef and student of a culinary school! I am quite chilled out, easy going, professional and tidy. love to cook, up for a beer, hanging out and water sports. I'm interested in living with people who have similar interests and are clean, tidy and sociable!
A full Gemini at heart! Hello People, id like to hear from you if your reserved, well mannered respectful, clean and can handle timely interaction. Happy to do 3/4/6 months. Drop me a line :)
Hey there! I'm a medical student completing a research year at the Alfred Hospital, after which I will complete my final year of my studies. I also work part time in hospitality. As such, I lead a pretty busy lifestyle, but you can rest assured that I'm a very caring, organised and responsible housemate to have. :) I'd say I'm easy going and respectful. I love spending time with others, having a meal, chat and a laugh together, as well as spending time on my own. I would love to get to know my housemates - going on adventures, brunching, or just kicking back with some Netflix. :) Other than studying, I do aerial silks and hoop (as a form of dance and exercise), go to the gym, catch up with friends, explore Melbourne's best brunches, cook and sleep. I like to live a healthy lifestyle, so most of what I cook will be only good, healthy stuff. I do love to whip up a delicious cheesecake every now and then though! I'm not a party animal - especially not during the week! - but don't mind a social gathering. I can be outgoing, and pretty quiet. I have lived out of home since 18, so I can confirm, I am trained in housemate rules. Would love someone who likes being active to go to the gym/ yoga/ someone exercise-y with! Won't lie, I tend to be a morning person!
Architect recently moved to Victoria and working part-time for a local university. Clean, tidy and considerate of others in a shared space. I have a car (pref off-street parking) and a bike and looking for a reasonably quiet, friendly inner-suburban place not too far from civilisation. Looking for 3 to 6 months initially with possibility to extend if all good.
Hi! My name is Lauri and I'm a 28 year old multimedia designer from Helsinki, Finland. I'm currently working full time in the eastern suburbs and would like find a nice share house located somewhere between the city and my work. I'm responsible, open-minded and an easy-going guy. I'm into music and all kinds of arts in general. I like to spend my free time going to gigs and exhibitions and also hanging out with friends and watching movies etc. I have plenty of share house experience from around the world and can appreciate a nice community as well as privacy and a reasonable amount of cleanliness around the house. Contact me if you have a spare room that I might be interested!

Hi, I am from NSW and will be studying. I am outdoors alot and go out whenever I can so I am good with space, I have no furniture or pets so basically I am easy come and easy go. My budget is 250 per week, preferably including bills, I will pay extra for internet if available.
Hi, I'm Julie, coming to Melbourne from France in order to study Mechanical Engineering at Swinburne as an exchange student, and I would like to find somewhere to call home :) I will be studying at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus so I'm looking for a room near Lilydale or Alamein railway line, or tram line 16,70 or 75, or bus route 624 or even better within walking distance from the campus ! I'm 19 going 20 and I would like to find flatmates about the same age (let's say preferably from 18 to 25 but I'm not very rigid about it). I'm quiet but social and I would like to share time with my flatmates (share meals, enjoy movies, have a cup of tea ... :P) I'm considerate of people's privacy and I clean up after myself. I like to study in common spaces (living room, kitchen ...) so I can see people passing by while studying :P. I do not need a lot of personal space : a small room would do it for me. I do not smoke nor drink. Cheers !

Doing my Honours in Biomedical Science near the Alfred Hospital and so would ideally like to move nearby. I am vegan, but respect everyone's decisions when it comes to food as long as mine is also respected. I really enjoy wine and staying at home cooking, watching netflix and just generally chilling. I work on weekends and so will likely not be at home very often and will be working full time hours during the week for honours. Feel free to contact me if you have any properties available! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi, I’m Ben! I’m a software developer currently living in Parkville. By day I work full time for an agency making iPhone apps, and by night I’m involved in musical theatre, both on and off the stage. In my down time you’ll usually find me playing piano (with headphones if it's a bother of course), enjoying a video game, or cooking with a wine in hand. I am tidy, friendly, and enjoy sharing the occasional wine and meal with my housemates. If you think this nerd would be a good fit for your place, please send me a message!
Hi, my name is Christiane. I'm a 27 year old trainee solicitor. I'm usually busy with work or my side hustle - writing and poetry - so I will stay out of your hair. That said, I'm not about hiding in my room either. I enjoy reading and tv - crime and animation particularly. I am trying to become a gym person but to be honest, I prefer being out in nature to exercise. I love traveling and art and opera and appreciate people who are reasonably clean - but I wouldn't stress if the place wasn't clean here or there. I have made a lifestyle change to quit drinking although it's not a blanket ban. I'll never say never. I smoke occasionally but am in the process of quitting and would not smoke near the house if my housemate was averse to it. I appreciate intelligence and nerds particularly as I am a closet nerd. Plus, I'm an INFP/ENFP if you know what that means then good for you :) I am open to living with people of any sexual or religious or other affiliation. All I ask is kindness and calm. I am social but in my books, my home is my sanctuary.
Hi my name is Laura, I am a 24yo looking for a large room in the Caulfield North, Malvern East, Prahran, South Yarra areas I am easygoing, tidy, have a great sense of humour, and a non smoker. Hello future housemate(s) We have made the move to Melbourne, leaving our little land of Perth behind. So super excited to get amongst everything that Melbourne has to offer. We are both huge foodies and love yoga (just finished our teacher training in Rishikesh, India). We both enjoy being active and healthy and being surrounded by like minded people. Both clean and respectful and are looking for a loving, nuturing space to call home 💓. We are looking for a place that will be inviting, house mate dinners and chats over wine or chai would be ideal! We are both social people and looking to make some friends not just roommates. We are bringing with us my miniature German schnauzer Angus (he's house trained, hypoallergenic non hair shedding dog), who's super friendly with people and other dogs. He doesn't need a lot, although a courtyard would be amazing. I walk him twice a day and he is extremely spoilt, and will not need any work (just love). Kelly: I am 28 years old, a full time scientist working in medical and tissue engineering, will endeavour to work as a yoga instructor as well as cafe work as I LOVE Melbourne cafe scene. I'm very clean and loving and respectful. I really enjoying cooking and food prep, I make everything from scratch. My cooking skills are a great asset to a household :P Royce: 29 year old off shore construction worker working 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off (in Broome). Very handy around the house and enjoys craft beer and live music. In my time off I keep myself very active. We hope to hear from you soon, namaste :)
Apologies, we don't have a nicer photo of the two of us haha. We are an Australian/French couple both 24 years old looking for our new home. We are looking for somewhere close or in the city (South Yarra, Carlton, North Melbs, that sorta distance) and near a train station. We're super chilled and love making good dinners with a few drinks and laughs to accompany. Travel is our number one favorite thing to do but for now we have chosen to settle in Melbourne for a while until our next adventure. If you have a nice big room available for us that would be awesome, must be clean as we are very clean people. We also are open minded and love all peopl. Shoot us a message asap as we are looking to move now. Thanks 😎
Ethan and Kalen here. We're brothers looking to share accommodations while we complete our third year at RMIT. We're both laid back and friendly, and recognize the value in cleanliness and hard work. Between us we cover a wide range of hobbies, from writing to gaming to programming to music, etc. We have no pets, but have no objections to flatmates that do.

I am an 25 year old female moving to from Brisbane to Melbourne to study a Masters of Education at Monash University. I am super adaptable and able to maintain a neat and tidy home but won't be upset by dishes left in the sink over night. I have been living with my current housemates for over two years and we have never had any issues. I am friendly, easy-going and told that I am very easy to become friends with due to my outgoing nature. I hold a Masters in Advertising and a Bachelor of Communications. I love to chat but also enjoy my own space. I am not a big drinker but do enjoy the odd drink and will not judge anyones lifestyle choices. I have some very nice furniture (including leather electric recliners) that I am happy to transport to Melbourne if the situation requires, otherwise I can leave it in storage here in Brisbane. I am not set on a duration of time as I am moving to Melbourne with an open mind and would happily move again in 6 months or commit to 18 months for the right situation. I would love to chat if you're looking for something similar.
Hi I'm Tom I am clean and tidy. Helpful around the house and a general pleasure to live with :). I am full - time employed and when not working, I like to play sport, go to the gym and play video games. The House Looking for fully furnished room with a desk ideally, around $200 - 250, inclusive of bills and internet. Only really looking to live 1-2 other people.
I have had plenty of experience living in house shares, and made some great friends along the way. I am easy going, clean and tidy. I was born and bred in Melbourne, recently returned from London where I lived for 10 years. I work as a school teacher locally and enjoy cooking, eating out, movies, good coffee and conversation, spending a lot of time at the beach.
I'm a 20 year old medical student looking for a place near the city. I'm generally kept pretty busy with study, but I like touristing around Melbourne or going out for lunch, and try to drag myself to the gym at least once a week. Next year I'm more likely to stay in for some Netflix and tea, but I do enjoy going out to bars or having a couple of friends over for drinks. Looking for a small sharehouse or unit to call home for at least a year. Ideal flatmates are easy going people around the same age, happy to share meals (I hope you like spaghetti!), and will keep up their half of the housework.
I'm 26 years old and work full time as a marketing manager for a magazine publisher. I'm from NZ but have lived in Melbs for about 3 years now, so if definitely feels like my home now! I've well trained in flatsharing (have done so since i was at uni from the age of 18) I'm a really chilled out person, like to keep my home clean and tidy, love to cook, yoga, run and hang out with friends and family.
I am 26 years old, originally from Adelaide, but I was living in Melbourne for several years, up until the start of 2016, at which point I spent 10 months travelling around South East Asia and India. I am currently back living in Adelaide, but moving to Melbourne once again, to commence professional, full-time work in my field of product design. I enjoy music; listening to it as well as playing a range of instruments (mostly guitar – but don’t worry, I am very considerate of noise levels in a share house!) and I regularly go out to see live bands. My other passion (and profession) is design and I often attend the many design/art related events, openings and exhibitions that Melbourne constantly has to offer. Other than that, I love all things food and coffee related and will usually jump at any chance to try out a new café or restaurant (or bar! although in that case, “food and coffee” will be substituted for “beer and/or wine”). I’m quite partial to getting out in that rare and elusive bit of Melbourne sun, for a walk or bike ride on the weekends and when I’m at home, I enjoy a good movie, documentary or Netflix/tv show binge. As a housemate, I am very easy to live with. I will be working full-time hours, so I will generally only be home in the evenings and weekends, I am neat and tidy, sociable but also considerate of other peoples’ space and belongings (you won’t even have to label your food in the fridge!), happy to do my bit when it comes to housekeeping and always pay rent and any bills on time. I have an extensive history of living in share houses, both in Adelaide and Melbourne and I can provide references from a previous private rental agency or past housemate/landlord if required. If you think I could be your future housemate, I would ideally be looking for a move-in date around the 25th of January (I begin work on the 30th January), although I can be flexible if it’s a matter of a few days either way. Unfortunately, as I am currently in Adelaide, it is unlikely that we will be able to meet in person before I get to Melbourne (and hopefully by then I have secured a place to live – fingers crossed!), however, I am more than happy to have a chat on the phone or even arrange a Skype call if you would like to talk in a somewhat face-to-face manner. Hit me up! Tom
Hey there! My name is Elly and I'm a friendly, down to earth, (nearly) 26 year old looking to move closer to my workplace. I work full time and enjoy being social, having a cheeky drink and chat with housemates but also respect others' own/private space and appreciate my own as well when needed. I don't smoke but don't mind if others do, love pets but won't be bringing one of my own. There's about a 99% guarantee that I'll want to bombard you at some point with photos of my adorable family dog though. I do drive so somewhere with parking would be ace (happy to obtain a council permit). Hoping to find a place with a balanced, easy going and social bunch of rad housemates! I'm organised, tidy and pay bills on time. Move date flexible. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hey Guys, I am looking to move into a two bedroom apartment and am looking for a like minded person to house share with! I have most of what you need to start a house. I am very flexible on dates as I would like to find somewhere amazing that suits both of our requirements! I'm 26, working for fashion head office in Richmond, I love cooking, seeing Melbourne, being with friends and having a cosy home to come back to. Love being sociable at weekends, with a few nights of seeing friends mid week. If possible it would be nice to house hunt together so we're both involved in picking the house! let me know if you're interested and we can meet for drinks.
Hi! My name is Charlotte, I am 30 years old. I work in Highett as a Cosmetic Chemist. I have no car so I am looking for a nice place close to the Frankston train line. My boyfriend may move to Melbourne on March so I am looking for a place for both of us. We love running, cooking, discovering new places to hang out and meeting new people.
Hey friends! My name is Allyse, I'm 19 years old and I currently live in Mount Martha on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula! I am currently looking for a room/rooms for myself and my twin sister Ramona for us to rent in the south-eastern suburbs! I work 2 jobs which are easily transferrable and will be studying nursing in 2017 after taking a gap year in 2016. Ramona is a visual arts student at Chisolm Institute and is a very talented painter. We're the bestest of friends and super friendly. We love going to gigs, playing old school vinyl's and a good Netflix documentary. Both myself and Ramona are looking for a change and have been itching to live near the city for the longest time! Please message me if you're interested in having us on board! Allyse & Ramona x
Hello! We are looking to relocate from Brisbane to Melbourne for a bit of an adventure! We are both students and will work part-time. Nick is a student studying sports management at Deakin University. He is laid back, polite and very easy to get along with. Nick is originally from Cairns and has wanted to move to Melbourne for a while now. I (Katie) am a student studying human services and justice, majoring in criminology. Whilst in Brisbane I was working at juvenile (youth) justice as a caseworker. I am passionate about working with disadvantaged youth and hope to find a job in this area when I move. We are easy going, very tidy and enjoy spending our days outside exploring new places (when we are not drowning in uni work). We love movies, good food, and good company. We mostly keep to ourselves, but also enjoy socialising with others.
Hi ! We are two French students who are coming to Australia for a 5-month internship in Clayton. We are 21 and are both studying chemistry in an engineering school. We are looking for a double room from the beginning of April to the end of August 2017. Our ideal location is between Melbourne and Clayton, near a railway station (Pakenham line). We are responsible, clean and easy going. We don't smoke. We are very interested in meeting new people and live a unique experience during these 5 months in Australia. Elodie & Vincent :)
Looking to move out ASAP. Originally from Perth I have been living in Melbourne for almost 2 years and am currently studying full time at uni. I am a sociable person who loves going out for dinner and drinks but I also value my personal space and am very respectful. Looking for team ups for a townhouse or house preferably. If you think we'd get along send me a message!
Hi, we're a couple from the Netherlands looking for a nice furnished apartment to stay in from the end of February / beginning of March. Ilja (26 years old) is a graphic designer and bartender and Thomas (27) is a writer/philosopher who works as a cook. We both work full time and planning to stay in Melbourne for approximately 6 months. We're clean, quiet and friendly but also enjoy a few drinks!
Here's a little something about myself to kickstart! I'm 21,currently in undergrad studying Psychology. I'm moving to Melbourne for the next few months to finish off my last semester in Monash University. I love quiet nights in to do some work and study with the exception of going out to socialise here and there! I'm very clean and tidy- loves to cook goooood food. I'm very considerate and respectful when it comes to personal space and privacy- as I like my own too! Also, very relaxed, fun and friendly and looking for a great place to stay! I'm very active during my days and I occupy time with either some sport or outdoor activities. I like going out to sightsee and find new, exciting and hidden gems around the area. A coffee and dessert enthusiast but also, most definitely likes living healthy.
Hello future flatmate!! My name is Nick and I am looking for a place to move into around Glen Iris, Malvern, Caulfield areas. I'll be finishing my studies at Swinburne in Feb 2017 (double in Aviation and Commerce (finance)). I'm a farm kid so someone who has pets is not an issue for me (I don't have one personally). I'm very laid back but always pitch in with cleaning. I can cook but also enjoy eating out, going out and experiencing new and exciting activities. I fly aircraft for fun and like to fly away for a couple of days to different parts of Australia (when I actually have the time and money!!). This will hopefully be a career the future. The accommodation I'm looking for is a house with 2-3 other housemates between the ages of 20-26 (either male or female I don't really mind). Looking for good, relaxed vibes while having respect for one another's privacy and study/work commitments. If you think I could fill the spot that you have, feel free to message me or send me a text! :)
Hey potential housemates. I'm pretty laid back and easy to talk to. Fully domesticated and like to keep things clean. Have a wicked collection of gaming consoles new and old which I don't mind sharing. I like to catch up and share a drink and a chat. Happy to answer any questions so feel free to ask.
Hi there! We are a couple from London who are relatively new to the Melbourne area. We've been travelling around Asia since September but having just found full time jobs in Melbourne we plan to stay in this amazing city for at least 6 months! We are easy-going and tidy people who like to socialise but also have our own space from time to time. Looking for like minded housemates who we could hopefully share a bottle of wine with every so often! Feel free to drop us a message if you think you have something that might be suitable! :)
20 year old from Scotland. I am very out-going, friendly and easy to get along with. I have been travelling Australia since August 2015 and been in Melbourne since December 2015. I am currently working full-time in the city and plan to be in Melbourne until my visa expires which is 02/08/2017 I enjoy a night out at weekends and sociable drinks after work (sometimes) .. this could be a bottle of wine at home or sociable drinks at the pub. I also love meeting new people. I love going out for brunch, dinner & drinks and also looove to do some shopping when i don't have enough money!!! I have lived in a few other house shares, so i am well trained at keeping the place clean and tidy and respecting that other people need their space and time alone too. Preferably looking for a private room. Also looking to move in asap.
Hey! My name is Ollie, 22 this Feb, and have lived in Melbourne for 7 years now. Originally a country boy from Deniliquin, i moved down to boarding school in year 8 and have lived down here ever since. I am currently living in Burwood in a share house because i study at Deakin and wanted something closer to uni. Now i work in Richmond and play footy in South Yarra so i want something a bit closer/in between my commitments. I am studying sports science and business, and the end game for me is to become a qualified physio, furthermore i work at the Epworth Hospital as an orderly. I love people and i am always up to socialise, but being quite busy means i do need my own time and i will always respect other people's need for their own time. I love sport and fitness, and I'm hoping to find some new housemates that share my passion as much as i do. Im currently playing footy for Old Geelong, and depending on my new location would love to get involved in something like mixed netball or futsul with my housemates. All that being said, the most important aspect for me would be to move into an established house with people of a similar age or a little bit older who love to have a good time but know when it's time to knuckle down. I love pubs and clubs, the beach, exploring and poeple who have a little bit of a random hobby so i can try something new. Housewise, I'm clean and tidy, i have furniture if it's needed, and I'm all for setting up a system to help the house work as smooth as possible. I have ticked no pets but i have designs on getting a puppy this year so a pet-friendly house would be a huge plus. Ive lived with people my own age for a long time so i understand how it all works. I socially smoke and am comfortable around a smoking or non-smoking home. Hopefully i've grabbed you're attention and i would love to get a chance to add another dimension to your home. Cheers, Ollie
Hello! I'm an exchange student from Finland looking for a place to live while I study at Monash Uni. I'm an easygoing and calm person who likes to socialize but who also appreciates privacy of others. I like to keep things tidy and participate in housework. I'm hoping to find a room where utilities (e.g. gas, internet) are included. Looking forward to meeting great new people!
Hi! My name's Gudrun and I'm looking for a private room to rent. I'm originally from the UK, but will be moving to Melbourne in February to start my Masters in Psychology. I'll be studying at Monash (Clayton) but I'm hoping to live close-ish to the city and near a train station like Richmond or South Yarra etc if possible. I love socialising, travelling, music, keeping healthy, being outdoors and food! I'm hoping to find some like minded people to live with, who enjoy going out and exploring the city, but are also happy to chill at home with wine and a movie :) I'm currently based in Adelaide, SA and hope to hear from you soon!
My current sharehouse will be ending the lease due to renovation. We have to move out until March 11. so my move in date is rather flexible for now. I'm clean, tidy (it's a must), reserved, respectful of people's privacy and house rules, and reliable with payments. But I'm also easygoing, funny and I like socialising.
We are 43yo, have been happily married for 5 years with no plans for children, love coffee/food/wine and anything that involves all three, we enjoy movies, live music/shows (especially blues), country drives, bike riding, skiing, picnics, walks in parks/gardens and well, being outdoors generally. We live a quiet lifestyle (i.e. we're not party goers apart from the occasional), love privacy and respect the privacy of others, but also enjoy great conversation and movie time. Brian works 40-50 hours/week in two restaurants on the Yarra River waterfront, is a massive cat lover and sports enthusiast. Generally works Tues to Sat evenings. May is a mobile dog groomer, loves reading, watching movies and getting out and about on the weekends to markets and other interesting events. Works Mon to Fri roughly 9am into the evenings. So even though you're living with a couple, you'll pretty much only have one of us home at any given time. And because Sundays are our only day off together, we're generally out and about enjoying each other's company. We have each been renting and/or house sitting for almost 20 years, so are also very reliable with keeping our living spaces clean/tidy, paying punctually rent, bills, unexpected repairs etc and being open, fair and communicative with our flatmates. We are genuinely positive, caring people who are always smiling or laughing. We are saving for a deposit on a home, but that is way off yet, so we're looking to meet flatmates who are mature, fun, respectful, responsible and willing to take in a married couple :) and if we click, are in for the long term. If you would like to meet us or know more you can contact us via the message service, we would love to hear from you! Brian and May Jenkin
