I'm from Japan. I'm tidy. All bills included and furnished room is desirable. The cheaper the better. I wanna stay for 6 months. I'm gonna work at Rydges Capital Hill, so I wanna live within at longest 30 minutes from there.
Ayden and I are both active individuals who enjoy our downtime when at home. We're both road cyclists and train 15-20 hours per week & are often away racing. Other than cycling, I'm doing my Masters in Architecture at the University of Canberra. Ayden is super easy going and can get along with just about anyone. He spends a lot of the year traveling with races. Looking for a tidy place where we can feel at home.
Full-time professional working with the APS in Barton. I enjoy my sport and often ride to work in the mornings. I am clean, tidy, and can be social while remaining respectful of boundaries. Looking for a place with similar values. I am French-Australian so naturally, I enjoy red wine, cheese and white flags. Cheers, Damien
I'm a recent graduate moving to Canberra from Adelaide to start a job with the APS. I love languages (I speak Dutch and Japanese), music, and indoor plants. In my spare time, you'll find me reading, gardening, watching Netflix, or tending to my love of indoor plants. I enjoy my own space and respect others, but am also impartial to a glass of wine and a cheese board at the end of the day. I've lived in share houses before, so I get how it all works. Let me know if you think I'd be a good fit! Looking forward to hearing from you.
I have just accepted a long term contract in Canberra, I’m hardworking, easy going and chilled out, I’ll also be commuting back to Sydney of a weekend while I finish the renovations on my house. I am married, but my husband is back in Sydney. I also have an awesome coffee machine.
Hi! I'm from India and have a Bachelors' Degree in Architecture. July 2018 i begin with my Masters' Degree at the ANU. Love travelling / exploring and have many tales to tell from the various journeys I've had. Am highly adaptable and quick at socialising. Also, I'm extremely meticulous in everything I do and very particular about cleanliness.
I'm a 29 year old guy who recently moved to Canberra to work in the APS. I did a PhD in physics before changing careers into policy. I'm an easy-going, approachable, and clean person who's not shy of having a cup of tea here and there. I like books, cool ideas, and the occasional adventure.
I'm a 20-something just about to commence studying at ANU, working towards a masters' degree. I'm a happy, social guy, who also values my and others privacy and having a space to withdraw to to think and work. If something needs doing or an extra pair of hands could help make light work of a task (meals, gardening, putting together infuriating flat pack furniture, et al.) I'm always happy to lend a hand. ✔ Well traveled and conscientious ✔ Bilingual (EN, IT) and working on my third ✔ Non-smoker ✔ Tidy, clean, and a solid work ethic ✔ Genuine and upfront in all interactions
Hey, My name is Joanne, I'm 24 and just recently moved in Canberra. I lived in Sydney for the last 5 years and served in the ADF. I work full time in the Public Service. I've lived in shared accomodation for the last 5 years so I understand the general rules of being a good flat mate. I have a cat named Nala, she's pretty chill and keeps to herself a lot. If you think we'd be a good match to share a place together, send me a message! I'm happy to catch up over a coffee or beer to sus each other out!
I originaly come from Yass, NSW but I am now working full time at old Parliament House as a barrister and waiter (8am to 5pm) I enjoy cooking and eat almost anything, I'm also ok with vegetarian and vegan. I am a very clean and tidy person and I like coming home after a long days work to a clean house. I am an easy going person and easy to get along with, I like socializing at the end of the day and on weekends; for instance sharing dinner together or having a drink. In my free time I like to draw, read and watch movies. I do enjoy getting outside and longboarding as well as hiking when I get the chance. I understand the importance of privacy and I will 100% respect it. I have lived with other families and people and do have valuable experience.
I‘m Katrina, currently in Canberra to do an internship at the Austrian Embassy. As I extend my stay, I'm looking for a shared house/apartment by mid August. I’m a 26 year old graduate (sociology and communication) who enjoys a good glass of wine and netflix marathons, as much as exploring the city and socialise. I am looking for a flat with fun roommates to have a chat after work, cook dinner sometimes and go out on the weekends occassionslly. I am a tidy and respectful person with six years of flatsharing experience and a good sense for privacy and individual space. Hit me up if you think I'd be suitable to join your house and we could have a chat over coffee :)
Hi I'm Charmaine, 25 year old female, relocating from Brisbane to Canberra for work. I'm friendly, neat and tidy. Love being social but wouldn't invade your personal space. Happy to share a meal/drink or two and would love to be shown around Canberra as I'm quite new :)
I am a female student from Denmark. During my stay in Canberra I will be studying at ANU as a Master student in Chemistry. My semester begins mid-July and ends mid-November, why I am looking for a room for four months In Denmark I am used to live in a dorm with 19 other students, hence I know how to share living room, kitchen and bathroom with other people, how to clean the house and make it a nice place to stay. In my sparetime I like to do different kinds of sports such as running, spinning, swimming, skiing and dancing. Besides that I am a very chill person who also enjoys a cold beer or a glass of wine, reading books, going to koncerts and out to bars, cooking and watching a movie. I am looking for a furnished room since I will not bring any furnitures with me from Denmark.
Hi. I'm moving from Sydney to Canberra with work in August and looking for a good home to share. I'm 41 and work 8-5ish. Weekdays I train a few times before work and like to chill at night, either on my own or happy to cook and chat over a meal. Weekends I'll likely be exploring my new town, or on my bike. Happy to hang out sometimes on the weekends if you're into similar things, but I'm also happy in my own space, or hang with the couple of mates in ACT already. I have my own furniture and can bring as much or as little as needed, like to keep things tidy & clean, and am an experienced flatty so am considerate with noise, chores and all the shared stuff. Canberra is a long term move, so I'm looking a longer term stay.
Hiya! My name is Alicia and I am moving to Canberra at the beginning of August, meaning I require a new home:) I'm a full time worker doing admin in the construction industry as well as attempting to study Marketing part time online. I'm really looking for a home where the housemates get along and who wouldn't mind giving me some tips on some local places (help a Newbie!). I'm clean, love a laugh and respect peoples privacy as well as enjoy my own alone time. My cooking skills are limited so unfortunately I can not try to win you over with some amazing dish but I do know how to wash dishes and put them away :D Balcony, en suite and/or pets would be a huge bonus. Hope to hear from you! Cheers, Alicia
I'm clean and tidy and would love to have my other housemates share similar characteristics. I'm a recent postgraduate student and is relocating from Sydney to Canberra, because of an internship opportunity. Personally, I do not smoke, however, I won't mind if my housemate smoke as long as he/she is not smoking while indoor. I'm looking for a like-minded individual who is respectful of other people space.
I am a youthful 55yrs post-surgery Transgender person who is very easy going. I'm currently at University of Canberra studying Bch Of Public Health. I am mostly seeking to join an existing sharehouse with space, although starting a new share property is an option for me too. Just 2-4 people including me would be preferable. I would be willing to sign-up to a joint lease with other tenants if necessary. I can contribute furniture to the property, although I don't have a dining suite or a lounge suite. Alternatively, I can place unused items in a dry, lockup garage if available. * Kitchen = large twin door fridge, microwave and just about every cooking item you could want! * Living = large timber pieces including wall units, bookcase, hallway table and entertainment unit (for television, etc). * Laundry = front loading washing machine, ironing board, etc. * Outside = lawn mower, whipper snipper, water hose, etc. * Bedroom = I have a six piece timber bedroom setting. I have an existing NBN Internet contract with unlimited data and a 100mb speed connection. It also includes the Optus 'Fetch' TV with 6 channels and access to netflix, etc. If your place already has an internet service, I may be able to transfer my account to other tenants in the property where I currently live. I am available to move-in to a new property quite soon - within two/three weeks depending on mutual circumstances. My share of any rent would be $200 per week maximum (I am a Uni student after all.) I'd prefer a property that is in good condition and located within reasonable travel distance to the University of Canberra. But i'm flexible for the 'right' property. That's it !!! Hit me up if you have a large bedroom in a sharehome that may be suitable.
Hey all, my name is Nick. I'm looking for a room with its own bathroom within 10-15 minutes of the city (North or South is fine by me!) I'm a public servant and relatively new to Canberra. I'm social and friendly and love getting out and about to new restaurants, hiking spots etc. (you name it!), no stranger to the occasional Netflix binge, or the odd drink. I'm looking for roommates I can hang out with, but also appreciate the need for quiet time. I have lots of furniture to contribute if needed, and I'm happy to move into an existing house or team up with people looking to move.
Hello! I am a 26 year old, young professional female who works full time. I am originally from Sydney, and moved to Canberra in 2015; working for both the government and non for profit sector. In August 2017, I decided to take a year off work to travel the world. Over the last 12 months, I have been abroad in Latin America, New Zealand, India and Iran. I have had many great adventures, but sadly out of money and time so headed back to our nations capital (just in time for winter, yay!). I have lived in two wonderful sharehouses in Canberra. I am a respectful and social housemate; I am bubby and positive, and would love housemates I could share a glass of wine or dinner with, but I equally need some space as well as downtime! I am quite social, and would love to have a homely space that I feel comfortable having friends over every now and then. I am very tidy, and consider myself a very proactive cleaner in terms of house chores. I respect the space I live in, and take price in a clean tidy house. During the week, I tend to keep quite busy; I like to exercise in the mornings, and do activities like yoga or dance class, trivia, or drinks with friends in the evenings. In terms of hobbies, I love to run, garden, read, cook (healthy and sustainable, mostly veg food), drink wine (mostly only on weekends, but could be convinced otherwise), learn Spanish, hike, camp, and travel! I have friends and family in Sydney, and my long term boyfriend of 6 years lives interstate, so I am often away on weekends. I am after a sharehouse that my boyfriend can come visit and feel comfortable every third weekend or so. He's a great visitor though; he lives on a farm and works at a brewery part time while studying, so usually comes with gifts for the house like fresh eggs, vegetables and craft brew cider and beer! I come with furniture for a bedroom, and have money set aside to purchase any thing that is needed for the house as a contribution. I also have a few plants which I could add to the house foliage. I am due to start back at work the 23rd of July, and would be keen to commence in a sharehouse around that time. If I sound like a suitable fit, I'd love the opportunity to talk more with you. Looking forward to hearing from you, Jacqui
I'm back in Canberra (studied and worked here previously) after several years overseas. Got lots of good travel stories. Aiming to cycle to work at Black Mountain most days. Don't watch much tv, tend to read books, like to be active, and usually out and about on weekends. Ideal place would have (in decreasing order of importance): awesome housemate, carpet, sunshine, views, gas cooking. Love cats so that would be an amazing bonus!
I am a postgraduate student who will study in ANU and would like to find a place which is within 5 km of ANU. I'm easy going and friendly. I love music, games and movies, but will not influence others, for I respect privacy and space.
