Hello! My name is Louie and, like countless others, am looking for a new place to call home following the floods. Having lost my car, somewhere near the local bus is ideal but I'm a keen walker too so not too bothered :) I was holding out to move back into my place following the owner's renovations but they have just let me know of an extreeeme rent increase and so sadly I've decided not to continue there. I study science at SCU (ecological agriculture), and am keen to get back to on-campus life at some point this year, though I'm in no particular rush so don' hesitate to let me know about future dates :) Between the lockdowns last year and opting to travel around after helping out for a bit after the floods, I haven't had the chance to connect with the community as much as I'd like to yet; a social house is cool -- though I'm pretty independent and will be studying and working so a quiet house is very welcome also :) I love to cook and share in meals, to garden and grow food, to practise yoga and surfing, to read and to go on adventures exploring our beautiful backyard!!

I work as a veterinarian so my work schedule is mostly 9-5 and of course love all creatures great and small. So much so that I wound up with a small kitty of my own a couple months ago (she is indoors only and very respectful of furniture). When I'm not working, you can find me in spiritual practice, hiking, perusing local markets, tending to my plant babies, reading, or cooking/baking (I'm vego so I always love to play with new recipes). What I'm looking for: Ideally, a studio/granny flat/one bedroom flat for me to enjoy with my kitty. But I'd also be open to the right share house with one or two awake and aware roommates who share my love of animals the outdoors and spirituality. The type of space I'm looking for is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature with a spot for growing some veggies.
