Hey there! Looking for a place to live for the next 4-12 months. I am keen on seeing different areas of Melbourne so don't mind if it is only a shorter-term lease. My selling points: - Often out of the house; - Will contribute indoor plants and wafts of delicious food down the hallway; - Will happily keep to myself or have a chat; - Have lived in many share houses around the world so I know the drill. I am clean (very keen on the idea of a cleaning schedule) and considerate of space (will clean up my stuff when finished in communal areas, and will try to use the kitchen when no ones else is). Me: - I have just finished up a Sociological research project on dating apps and gender norms (very interesting) and am currently seeking a social-science research position for 2019, considering a PhD for the year after. I also volunteer at an organisation advocating for more humane policy for people seeking asylum in Australia. - I play field hockey and generally like to be active. - Typical millennial who likes travel and food. - Non-typical millennial who doesn't like social media. What I'm looking for in my housemates: I am really into being eco-conscious, non-judgemental and open-minded and I am keen to live with people who share these values :) I also think it's important for housemates to openly communicate about expectations of cleanliness and noise (and anything else), so that potential issues can be navigated. Looking to live with people who are willing to discuss issues before they become a big deal (I will do the same) so we can continue on with a happy and sustainable housemate relationship. Shoot me a message if you're keen! What I'm looking for in my new dwelling: ~10min walk to a train station (or tram directly into the city). Anywhere in the South-East or Eastern suburbs. Medium-to-lots of natural light.
I am starting a Masters of Writing and Publishing at RMIT next year, and am hoping to move closer to the city to cut down travel times - at the moment I am also working in the city. I am looking for a cat friendly house with yard space. The cat is nearly 2 years old, and is shy, but fully house-trained. I have all my own furniture so nothing will be required for the room. I am reliable with bills and cleaning and always keep my space tidy. I've had several years experience living in sharehouses, and have been the head tenant in the past. I'm pretty quiet to live with, but I appreciate a friendly and fairly sociable household. I enjoy board games, movies and cooking, and am pretty easy to get along with.
Hi! I'm an American from Montana moving to Melbourne to pursue a PhD in Ecology at UniMelb. I love travel and all things outdoorsy! I am clean and respectful of people's space, but I'm hoping to find flatmates to socialize with from time to time as well. I am staying with a cousin currently, so I can be flexible on move in date, but would prefer not to move in until after the holidays :)
Hi there I'm looking for a place that is within 15km from the city and walking distance to public transport. I'm a clean and tidy person who is considerate, I respect other peoples privacy and expect the same in return, I can be shy at first but eventually opens up to people :-) The type of flatmate I'm looking for is someone who is respectful, considerate, tidy and that includes respecting there flatmate's privacy, and most important is someone that doesn't treat the place as a party house or who uses drugs !
I'm 24 years old guy from Lithuania, East Europe. This is my second year in Melbourne. Studying Fitness. I'm friendly and funny guy. Very easy to communicate with me no matter what. Flexible. Clean (not a clean freak). I may look like a serious guy, but when you get to know me, you'll be surprised. I'm working as a bartender in restaurant Santoni, Hawthorn. It would be REALLY nice to live with people who are 20-30y/o, active and social to do something together. Also i respect other people privacy. Everyone needs some chill time in their own room.
Hi there, my name is Sebastian and I'm a 23 year old student living in Vienna, Austria. I'm a very sociable and open-minded person with a great sense of humor and I will always have an open ear for you or advice if you need some. I'm very adventurous and both love to go out partying or having a nice dinner with friends, but also just to chill at home and spend a cosy evening in front of the TV. In my spare time I really like to go to the gym or spend some time in the nature. I'm a very easy and uncomplicated type of person and get along with everyone. I'd love to build up a great friendship with my flatmate and in best case even find someone who joins me travelling through the country :) I'm very tidy and reliable, you don't have to worry about not getting the rent on time. If this fits to you, feel free to contact me :) all the best, Sebastian
Hi! I'm a 26 year old female looking to move from Albury to Melbourne around the 9th Feb. I have 2 super friendly and house trained border collies who would be coming with me. I don't know many people in Melbourne, so would love to find housemates that want to be friends as well (but I totally get the need for alone time, I don't expect to hang out all the time!) I enjoy cooking, a good Netflix binge and the odd drink. I do have some furniture, but not everything. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! 😊
Hi I am an easy going and fun person who care about where I live. I am so clean, responsible and cooperative with house maintenance and peaceful environment. I am also on time with my financial commitments. About me, I am an emergency nurse working at two different hospitals. I also study medicine in a private medical school. So I would mostly be busy with work and study but will be accommodating some social life and quality time with my housemates.
Hi, I work part time as a manager at a clinic and am also studying Computer Science at Deakin University. I spend most of my time on my computer studying. I have a passion for karate so I will often go to the dojo. I'm looking for people who would be great house mates as well as friends. I am also down for team ups.
Hey, my name is Cian! I’m on the working holiday visa having just moved from Ireland. I’m looking for a room for sometime in the middle of January. I’m signed to an agency that gets me temporary office work on the regular. I’ll be working full time during the week Monday to Friday and off at the weekends. I like to keep it pretty chill weekdays and go out and about at the weekends. I enjoy a party or two but quiet nights in as well. I’m super clean and would love to mix and make friends with housemates but also allow some space and “me time”.
Hey guys, I am looking for a room (private and furnished, bed and wardrobe basically) around central and east side (Melbourne). I’m a Singaporean student studying Law and HR in Deakin warping up the last year. I study full time and work and intern. Pretty occupied most of the time. I’m social, talkative and generally the life in the room. I am a definite people person, get along with most people, but at the same time enjoy my private time. I love my good bottle of red, a good show, and cooking up a stir fry or a curry. I read bits and pieces, want to get back to playing my guitar. I also spend a lot of time in parks and nature and am responsible and clean, and expect the same from others. Just a uni girl looking for great people to live with. There you have it, a chill 22 year old that would love a share house. Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions(: Thank you! -Berlin
Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm looking for a room to rent close to work in Camberwell. I'm 28y.o, full time interior designer and working in real estate on weekends. I'm looking for a relaxed household with housemate/s who are up for a chat every now and then and maybe share a bottle of wine (or two). I like spending my time out exercising, finding good coffee places and reading. I'm very respectful, clean and considerate, I'm looking for like-minded people. I usually meet friends out and about, on the odd occasion I might have a friend over.
We're laid-back couple from Germany who love cooking and like to have a chat or a glass of wine sometimes. We enjoy relaxed weekends. We keep common areas clean and tidy and would prefer someone who does the same.
Hey my name's Charlotte! I've just finished my secondary teaching degree at uni and am looking to live closer to where my job will be (starting next year). I've lived in Melbourne for 5 years and have lived in a number of sharehouses during this time. I've lived with both friends and people I've met on flatmates. I'm a fun and outgoing person and I'd prefer to live in a place where I could hang out with my flatmates, have a few drinks, cook together and socialise. But I also love my own personal space. I'm a very neat and tidy person and I love cooking (but when I'm being lazy I do love going out to get dinner or takeaway). Next year I'll be working full time and would love to live with people who are either working or studying part/full time. I'm really easy to communicate with as well. I'm not fussed about pets (I love dogs and cats but unfortunately don't have any of my own) . My rent budget p/w is $230 but I'm pretty willing to negotiate that, same with my move in date-I'm free to move in/take over a least any time from now-Janurary *I have a car and will be driving to work everyday so off-street parking is necessary.*
I'm a 25yr old full time IT worker working in Richmond. Keen to live in a low key, homely, chill place and company to smash wines/tins with. I work 8-5 everyday and I spend my time between video games and relaxing on the couch with some drinks and Netflix so expect a good mix of company and free space. (PS Yes i can help fix your broken laptop/ slow internet).
Hi there! I am a 24 year old nurse who is looking for a chill place to call home! Something reasonably quiet as I do quiet a bit of night shift. Keen to be social but also like my own space. Very cruisy lass who is tidy & honest.
Hi fellow flatmates! Marcus and I have just recently moved to Melbourne! We have spent the last 2 and a half years living in London. Marcus is from New Zealand and works full time and I am from Bendigo and work part time, I am studying Education at ACU starting in February. We are both very easy going sociable people :)
Hey. I’m a very clean, tidy, respectful and a fun flatmate. I enjoy meeting new people, going on food adventures and socialising, but I'm not a party person. I’m a huge fitness fanatic, love exerciseing and am constantly at the gym. And I love animals too. Right now, I currently live on the Gold Coast, but I will be making the move to Melbourne at the start of January to further my career in photography. I’m ideally looking for a place that is close to reliable public transportation and looking for a roommate/s (male or female) that are similar to me, career driven and are not party people. Additionally, I’m also looking for a room with my own bathroom.
I've spent the last 9 years traveling all over the world for both work and for fun. I'm originally from Michigan but left at the ripe old age of 21. A short list of who I am: I've been told by other nationalites that I'm not 'loud' like American's are often known to be, I'm clean, do regular exercise, love to read and write, dance whenever possible (wearing headphones of course), and roller-skate (quads, not blades). I'm a genuine people person, but also really, really cherish my 'me time’ especially at home, and in return have no intention of disrupting yours. I will absolutely be working full-time and always keep busy in other after-work activities. I'm only interested in living with other busy professionals and *non-partiers*. I am a non-drinker and a non-smoker, but a regular dose of dancing keeps me young and quite happy. During my Working Holiday Visa I will be looking to both enhance my professional life (Team Building and Leadership Training) as well as continue with a few odd jobs I do as freelance (writing, coaching, voice-overs). My main goal is to learn to surf, catch some festivals, all the usual things you want to do when you turn 30. Currently I have only requested a 4 month stay in this area as I search for the right [Professional] job across Australia, where ever that may take me. I have a sister that lives in Melbourne, which is why I'm starting my trip there. :) Thank you for your time and interest. My best always, Laura
Recently having graduated, I am now working full time in marketing for a food app. Currently renting in Burwood, I am looking to move closer to Burnley (where I work!) I am clean, considerate, quiet and easy going.
