Hi future roomie/s! We are needing a place to move into for a job I start in February. We would be looking to move in around the 25th of January or after (we can be flexible :) ) We ideally need to live fairly close to Civic (inner north or Kingston/Barton area) and we're looking for a friendly and relaxed home where the a few vinos can be enjoyed on the weekend. We also would most likely need a parking space. I (Erin) am starting a full time contract in February and am moving from the Gold Coast but I have lived in Canberra before. Ryan is American but has been living in Australia for a year and a half. We're clean and tidy, world travelled, respectful and all round good people. You'll love us! If you have any questions, ask away! Can't wait to hear from you :)
Hi everyone! We're coming over to Canberra for six months because I (Caitlin) will be working as an intern at the Dutch Embassy! As we'd like a bed to sleep in, we were hoping someone could help us out! I'm 23yo, half Dutch half British, so I can teach you some useless Dutch words or enjoy some beers after work! I'd say I'm very easy going and I love meeting new people. Matt is 25yo, teaches English and works in hospitality. Let me know if you have any info for us! X
Hey, this is Yasmina. I am able to move in now ( moving time is negotiable and prefer to stay minimum 6 months or more). I am pretty easy going, and working part-time as an educator in child care centres. I am currently preparing for an exam, and I will work as a full-time educator after I got my exam done. Also, I'm diligent with housework, always clean up the messy and keep common aeras clean and tidy. .I'm always down for housemate hangs, like hiking, jogging and visting galleries etc. I respect other people's space and need for alone time, and value other people's work. If you have a good location place pls contact me coz I dont drive.--msg me with your address if you could, I need to check on the google map and decide to take from there or not. ( prefer Belc, Tuener, Braddon, Bruce ect, as long as it close to any 300 routes buses.) BTW, the rent is negotiable, it depends on your place and room conditions. Also, happy to teamup with nice and great person, contact me ! Cheers!
Hello, I am currently studying at both ANU and UC, and work at UC as a lab assistant. I'm pretty quiet and tidy. For fun, I usually play video games or browse the internet. I'm preferably looking for a place that has some space, as I'm moving out of student accommodation (which is tiny).
Hi I'm Lucinda. I'm easy going, keep quite busy and active, enjoy wine, trashy TV and the outdoors. Partial to a boozey dinner with good food as I enjoy cooking. I'm looking for a place in the inner north or south with like minded people.
Hi guys, My name is Ben. I am 27 years old, work full time in the department of defence at Russell Offices and looking for somewhere to call home over the next 12-24 months. I have been living in rentals for the last 5-6 years of my life, am very tidy, respectful of others space but also enjoy a good chat or a beer on a Friday. I don’t start work until the end of the month so am pretty much free anytime however would like to have something sorted by the end of next week (25th Jan). I am currently in the process of moving down from Darwin where I lived in a 4 bedroom house on my own. I have quite a bit of stuff such as brand new top of line washer and dryer, fridge, kitchen utensils, coffee machine, large 5 seater couch, coffee table, surround sound and 55 inch smart led tv (just to make a few). If not required though some of this may be able to be placed into storage which is no issue. I also have a few tools and see myself as a bit of handy man around the house. I enjoy keeping fit, cooking and exploring what this city has to offer. I will usually be working from 7:30 - 6pm and may be required to travel around the country for a few days here and there. Regards, Ben
Hi, I'm Nancy and I'll be moving to Canberra (from Sydney) in Feb to study Honours at ADFA - looking for a room in the inner North or South Canberra. I've got sharehouse experience and good rental history. I'm fairly introverted and respect housemates' privacy, but as I'll be new to the city I'm quite keen to socialise and have a chat and share meals and a drink when we're all free. I'm excited to explore walks and hikes around Canberra, and hoping to improve my cooking and baking skills. I'm tidy, a non-smoker and don't have pets (but more than happy to share with pets!).
Hi! I'm Chelsea! I'm moving to Canberra from Brissy to start a new full time job in February. I'm friendly, easy-going and always happy to help out. I like keeping where I live neat and tidy, enjoy cooking, getting active outside and enjoy both fun nights out and quiet nights in! I won't be home much during working hours or the occasional weekends I visit home otherwise I'm always keen for a chat and to hang out but also like enjoying my own space and respect that of other people's. As I'm completely new to Canberra, I'm keen see what it has to offer and moving in with people interested to explore with me or help me settle in would be amazing! Please feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested!
My name is Eamonn and I’m moving from Sydney to begin a grad job with the APS. I'm looking for a place for 12 months, ideally not too far from civic. A bit about me: I’m 23, enjoy staying active (cycling, gym, hiking) as well as some crappy Netflix series, board games and having a drink at the pub with mates. I’m tidy and can cook well enough to avoid starvation (I've found that adding enough cheese and chilli sauce will make anything tasty). I have experience living in share accommodation. I don’t know anyone in Canberra so would be looking to hang out with any house mates, but still appreciate privacy as well as wanting to spend some time by myself getting to know a new city. I'm around Canberra now and happy to team up to find a place, so send me a message!
Your stock standard APS grad moving from interstate to become another soulless public servant! Enjoy spending time with housies over a cute Netflix sesh, highly obscure conversation or curry, and the occasional house party but happy with my own space as well. Into foreign languages, keeping fit (late night runs are a thing), food, and dark humour. Am house-trained. Adrian is a private sector grad and Tom is completing legal studies at ANU while working in hospo. Both enjoys bevs, shindigs, obscure conversation, and are happy with their own space. We're either after a whole new lease or a house which is agreeable to the above interests and is accessible to Civic and Kingston.
My name is Sarah, Im 20 years old and currently living in the inner north. Looking for a room to rent with housemates who are easy going, not party animals however are up for a drink every now and then. I work two jobs are Primary schools both in the inner north as a Learning Support Assistant. Would love to be able to stay close to work. I do free lance graphic deisgn on the side and always love a chance to be creative and decorate. I spend a lot of time outside on walks and love having dinner nights with close friends. Im a super tidy and organise person and will respect others space and privacy.
I'm tidy and sociable, I know how to cook, and I can make a decent cocktail or two. I’m moving to Canberra at the end of Jan to start a full-time APS job. Looking for a place in central Canberra. I’m relaxed and friendly, but respectful of others and their space. I’m pretty laid back and enjoy hiking, cooking (I can make a mean spanakopita), TV dramas, comedies, reading, photography and sport. I also love a good wine or G&T every now and then. I'm able to mostly furnish a place with a lounge suite, TV, bed, washing machine, cutlery, crockery, and some cupboards/bookshelves if required. I will also be bringing a small espresso machine with me. If you’d like to know anything else about me, feel free to ask!
Hi! I am an APS grad starting in early Feb, moving down from Brisbane having just completed my Bachelors in Journalism and Law. 25, friendly, clean and tidy, have lived in share houses the last five years and college dorms before that. I'm always up for a chat, enjoy sharing a meal and making a place feel like a home, but appreciate we all have our down time. Love the outdoors, I'm anticipating a few hiking adventures and ski trips so would love a flatmate who's keen to get around that! Resident doggo/s not a problem.
I'm down to earth and like to learn from the people around me. I need a bit of solitude from time to time, but also make an effort to be a supportive housemate. The outdoors, exercise, and conversations over coffee are some of the things that I enjoy most. I'm a small business owner looking to knuckle down for the year ahead. I'm looking to either team up with one or two others to find a house to rent, or move into an existing share house. If you think we'd get along as housemates, please get in touch.
We are two students searching for two rooms in a friendly and fun sharehouse! Sarah is in her third year and Afra in her fourth at ANU. Since we have lived together a year already we would be perfect to move in with since we already quite in tune to each other. We're both quite easygoing and do like to be sociable: enjoying brunch, a night out or some wine over dinner (even better with flatmates). We both have jobs and quite a busy schedule, so when we are home we like it to be tidy and relaxing! We're also happy to negotiate our weekly rent budget :)
I'm a nonbinary PhD student at ANU. I'm very clean and friendly, and usually up for a chat. I'm a very outdoorsy person and like to spend my weekends hiking or camping. Otherwise I spend a lot of time playing video games or reading to relax. I'm looking for a place close to ANU with chill and accepting housemates that I can hang out with but also have my own space.
Hi, I'm Hannah - I'm 28 years old, and moving from Perth to Canberra in mid-February to start a new role in the APS. I'm looking to share a place with one or two others, preferably somewhere in Canberra's inner-south. I'm pleasant, tidy and conscientious, enjoy socialising but also quiet time to recharge. I'd like to live with other young professionals who are keen for friendly chats (current events or Game of Thrones both work) and some shared meals. I like to cook, keep active, play a bit of music and get out and explore. Flatmates that would be keen to hike on the weekends (or share their local knowledge) would be a bonus!
Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm 28 years old and I'm originally from Newcastle. I just moved to Canberra to continue work in the APS. I enjoy reading, running, the gym, Netflix, cooking and outrigger canoeing. I'm friendly and easy going as well as clean and tidy. I'm looking for flatmates who enjoy a chat but also value privacy.
G'day, I've just moved up to Canberra from Melbourne to work full time in the public service and am looking for a good sharehouse. I've lived in sharehouses for years back home and had really positive experiences. I'm a considerate housemate who is respectful and easy going. I'm interested in finding a house with that balance between a friendly and social atmosphere with some personal space. I like seeing live music, getting outdoors (rock climbing, hiking etc) and having good chats over dinner or a drink. Looking forward to meeting some interesting people in Canberra. *photo is my last house, I'm on the far right
We are 2 friends looking for 1-2 housemates to team up and rent a 4-5 bedroom house in a reasonably priced and located suburb in Canberra. Looking mostly inner North but not particularly attached. About us: Lily is a returning public servant and George is just starting. We are both situated in Melbourne currently but will be moving to Canberra mid-late February. George is available to inspect places from the 10th of Feb. We are both Engineers with years of experience share housing. Lily enjoys cooking (and eating), making things and has a cat (who gets along with dogs). George enjoys eating (and cooking), designing and building things, working out and exploring. Neither of us takes ourselves seriously and are always down for a laugh. About you: You are looking to team up and help in the house search and be on the lease. You are easy going and respectful, looking for a social household with occasional shared meals and adventures. Please message us on flatmates if you are interested 😊
Moving to Canberra in Feb 2019 to take up a new job in Government. Will be returning to Sydney each weekend, so looking for somewhere comfortable and convenient for Monday to Friday. Easygoing, self sufficient, neat and friendly.
