Hello potential room mate! My name is Paul, Recently moved to Melbourne from the far north coast of NSW I'm currently working as a chef in a busy cafe in Brunswick east and I'm in need of a new home! Quite a sociable guy i like to relax in my room or catch me outside having a brew! Always down for a chat and a hang but honestly i just want to come home and kick my feet up and have a chill.. Really tidy and always cleaning up after myself. You'll most likely catch me making massive meals for the week or even have a bake off so there will always be a cake or something sweet flying around to eat! I like to get out on my days off and explore the city or hang with friends, I never bring the party home. Thanks for reading, hope to hear from you!
Hey guys, my name is Julia, I currently live in a share house in Bundoora and im super excited to move closer to the city! I am a pretty chill girl who loves art, going out, discovering new places and hanging out. I work full time in admin and also work at a bar in Fitzroy. I'm neat, tidy and respectful. Reliable with money and a good person to talk to about whatever :) All round I am a pretty easy person to live with! Ideally looking for a private room in Fitzroy/ Carlton are with rent no more than $280 per week. I also have a car so parking space is preferable :) Looking forward to hearing from you guys! xx
Greetings :) We are a young professional same-sex couple seeking a teamup for a roomy shared townhouse (or such) in Melbourne, Carlton/ Carlton North or inner East/ North Melbourne. We are both comfortable, clean, easy-going, and love good chats and a bit of fun every now and then but also really value some down-time and rest after a long day of work. We currently live in a cosy apartment in South Yarra, our lease is ending on the 15th of May and we wish to secure a place by early-mid April at the latest. What kind of home we are looking to share: Our main goals with our new home is to reduce the amount of rent we are paying currently and have a bigger home with a roomy backyard and living area. We are looking to team up with 2 other people (don't mind couples) for a 3 bedroom house/ townhouse. Our main requirements are a minimum of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (preferably ensuites), a backyard, for the location to be within 10-20km of Melbourne CBD, divided rent up to $600 pcm (exc bills). We have an adorable fluffy feline son named Wilbur who is about 6.5 years old, he is a very calm and well-natured cat. His only activities include intermittently switching from deep sleeping, intense eating and purry snuggling. He is incredibly comfortable and loving with new people, clean, and very self-sufficient. He does occasionally want to play and have a bit of a run around but his most loved activity is curling up to sleep. A little bit about us: We both have full-time 9-5 jobs during the week and prefer quiet evenings during the week, occasionally having dinners with friends every now and then but that is the most we do on weeknights - reserving most of our going out/ socializing and such to weekends. We have a good small bunch of close friends who we love seeing as often as time and energy permits. We love a bit of a boogie once or twice a month whether it be in the form of a cosy little house party or a 5 day doof out in the bush. Despite this, we aren't huge party animals and strongly value a good work, rest, play balance. As housemates, we love cleanliness but also understand that with full-time work and a busy lifestyle sometimes a pristine, perfect home is not always achievable. This is absolutely okay with us but we would always ensure that a thorough clean-up is done at least once a week. We also love a friendly environment at home, having a chat over a smoke, tea or wine once in a while but some nights we just want to retreat into the couch or our bedroom and sleep or binge watch Netflix or documentaries. We also love plants, candles, incense, art, all kinds of music and prefer eating a predominantly cruelty-free, vegan diet. What we are looking for in housemates: - a reliable, honest and compassionate person - transparency and trust-worthiness - MUST be LGBTIQ+ friendly and aware - relatively clean and cat friendly - easy-going, open-minded, well read and responsible - someone who matches similarly to our profile, has a sound work, rest, play balance What we don't want in housemates: - excessive drinking, partying, etc - expectations to socialize all the time - cat allergies/ dislike If this sounds like you or we sound like people you would see yourself living with - hit us up with a little bit about yourself, include your favorite film or song and why you love it. Happy house hunting x
Hey there! My name's Maria, I come from Spain and I'm 28. I'm starting a PhD at the Doherty Institute here in Melbourne and I'm looking for a warm place to live. I'll be working full-time during weekdays and I'll probably have to work at home, but I enjoy chatting while drinking some wine or beer in my free time, watching netflix, reading... I enjoy some time alone as well, but I'm overall a social, joyful and positive person who likes spending time with her mates. I'm a quite active person, I love doing sport and attending to dance classes and I like having a healthy lifestyle. I'm also very tidy and respectful. Just message me if I sound like someone you'd like as a mate and hopefully friend and confident!:))
I'm a single, non-smoking health professional, moving back to Melbourne in late April to start a full time M-F job at St Vincent's Hospital. My job involves working with people, so I prefer somewhere quiet and relaxed to come home to during the week. I’m a bit more social on weekends, but am not a party animal by any stretch. I'm hoping to live with 1-2 other single people (not couples) with a similar mentality. I like to be fairly independent, but also like to live with somebody I can have a chat with and occasionally share a meal with. I'm looking for a furnished or unfurnished room close to St Vincent's Hospital, with a parking space/permit. I'm neat and tidy, and respectful of others and their space/possessions. I always pay rent/bills on time, and am not tight with money!
Easygoing bloke moving to Melbourne for work. Looking for a share house not too far from the city. Get in touch!
Hey, my name's Shane. I'm a 24 year old male from Darwin, NT, set to start work in late April as a Site Engineer in Melbourne. I've lived in Darwin my whole life so it might be a bit of an experience making the trek to the big city that is Melbourne. In my spare time I enjoy sports (if the body holds up), chilling out with some Netflix/games and the occasional beer or two. Hoping to find some social flatmates that enjoy similar interests.
I'M looking for a fab house/apartment to move into with some chill people. I'd like somewhere sooner rather than later, but am pretty flexible with moving dates. I'm looking for somewhere I can call home. I'm not home very much as I like to keep myself busy, but when I am I like to enjoy my space and keep things tidy and clean. I'm not too fussed on anything else. At the moment I'm just working full time in hospo in the city, but will begin studying fashion merchandising at RMIT mid year. Other than that I like to create, make, photograph things when I find the time. I like having a good time and go out and socialise with friends at bars etc. a bit. I'm usually quiet coming home though and don't really bring the party back to the house. I do also enjoy going to festivals and try to go to gigs when I'm not working. Im all about good times and chill vibes so I'm not too keen on unnecessary drama or negativity. I'll give you your space if you want it, but I will also be there to chat/throw banter/chill with. So if you're cool with that then hmu pls xox
Amanda and I are in our mid to late twenties looking for a whole property to lease. We are reliable, clean, hard working women who work full time. Available date is flexible.
Hi! I am a super easy going student currently looking for a new place. I am very independent and pretty busy with study, two part-time jobs, and an internship at a Fitzroy gallery, but I'm also very social and love to hang out when I am free. I am studying art history and ancient history, and in my spare time I like to visit galleries, read, swim, and see live music with my friends. I am originally from New Zealand and have been living in Melbourne for four years now. I am clean, conscientious and would be a very chill housemate.
Hi everyone, I'm Pamir, 24 . Now I'm a post-grad student at RMIT. I have been in Melbourne since november 2016. I'm looking for place that close to CBD to live plus 4 months. Now I'm living in Carlton but need to be out around 10 april . A bit about me, I'm an easy going man and relaxed in most of my spare time am going out with friends to hang out and ocassionally skating and cycling. Usually at home I spend my time for study, chatting with my mates having a beer and chillin ..pretty active at weekends. I know well how communual life is. Currently I'm sharing space with mates so am always thoughtful and punctual about rent and bills and never lazy to do houseworks....no worries about cleaning. Cheers!
Hello everyone. Currently looking for a new place to call home for myself and my fluffy feral grey feline sidekick, Earl Grey. I work part time at a theatre (can get you free tickets!!) and part time as a semi-pro freelance composer and musician. I am well house trained as although I am fairly young I have been living in sharehouses since the age of 17 in a variety of setups and environments. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly, 420 friendly, and very open and caring. I keep myself pretty busy between work and musical commitments, but I am always down to share a meal and or a glass of wine together. I am not looking for a party house, and I really enjoy my downtime while also being quite social. I play the piano alot (I am told it is pleasant) so it's best if you like music. Naturally a clean person by nature and quite enjoy doing chores. Happy to subscribe to a cleaning roster but also more than capable of making a house work without one. So I am essentially looking for some nice, friendly people to live with and hang out with, in a house that is not too far from the city by public transport. A garden would be a bonus too as I have some plants and my cat likes to frolic amongst flowers haha. Look forward to hearing from you.
neat and tidy, responsible, respects the privacy of others, friendly, easy to get along with, not a party type person
Hi there, My name is Grace. I’m 29 YO very active french woman. I am an event manager and casual front of house waitress. Full of life and joy, personal development junkie, always up for a deep conversation or a laughter around a glass of wine. I have a fast paced life so I love catching up with my roomies and also having time for myself. Love travelling, discovering new things and dancing. In essence I enjoy life fully in the best life has to offer. Im looking for a place to call home for a couple of months with friendly and easy going people having the same way of living as me. If I sound like the right flatemate for you don't hesitate to contact me. Cheers, Grace
Hello! I'm 24 years old, British/ Irish university graduate looking to live and work in Melbourne. I'm creative, sociable and enjoy cooking and baking. I currently work full time in a cheese shop called Milk the Cow on Lygon street. I have recently moved here from living in London where I was doing design internships and baking/ barista-ing in a cafe. I also regularly get freelance graphic design jobs. I like to eat healthily and go to the gym, which clashes somewhat with my insatiable appetite for going out for food and my ability to drink copious amounts of wine with friends at the weekend. It's all about finding a happy balance for me... someone needs to invent a pizza which makes you lose weight.... I've lived in shared houses since starting Uni in 2012 so I'm no stranger to the ins and outs of living away from home.. washing up/ fridge politics/ cleaning the toilet etc. I'm a clean person but also rather laid back. I like to keep communal areas nice so it's pleasant for everyone. I don't play loud music! (but if you also love hip hop then we can make an arrangement!) I love to cook (I'm quiiiiite gooood, if I do say so myself) so if you're keen, sharing meals is always nice. pretty flexible on the move in date, I'm currently living in Prahran but I want to move closer to where i work in Carlton, but I'd rather be in a situation that I'm 100% comfortable with instead of rushing into anything.
We are a young Irish couple recently moved to Melbourne looking for somewhere within 20 minutes of the city. We are both very easy going and relaxed and enjoy meeting friends at the weekend so are often out. Looking for a house or apartment with 2-4 roommates but are not really fussy.
Hey there! My name is Sophie, I'm 28 and moved here to Melbourne in February from NZ. I am a graphic designer currently in the process of job hunting for nice and tidy place! I have savings to pay for rent etc until I get a job. Happy to pay rent in advance with bond. Rent and bills have always been a priority to me, they come first before anything and I have never missed a rent payment or bill in my life. I enjoy exploring the city, a drink or two and eating! I also enjoy quiet nights in and relaxing. Love music, finding rooftop bars and I love to cook too (amazing kitchens are a winner for me!) but I still appreciate Uber Eats! I'm really easy to get along with, very tidy and always clean up after myself - one of those clean as you go people! I want to live in a home where everyone takes pride in how the place looks. I am available to move in as soon as possible and happy to discuss length of stay. I am a very happy person and looking forward to making new friends along the way! I promise you won't regret living with me!
I'm 25 and work full time as a town planner in the inner city. I love the outdoors, play footy for the renegade pub football league (AFL), enjoy cooking and gardening and prefer Netflix to commercial TV (Broad City, Vikings). I love a beer, am good at fixing things and am a great listener when drama is happening in your life. I'm a bit of a nerd, am teaching myself how to make clothes (slow process) and enjoy photography. I'm tidy and clean, I'm an adult about chores and know how to share a house respectfully 😊 I've been renting in Melbourne for about 7 years now and want to live in my next house for at least 12 months. I've been Kensington for 2 years and am coming up to the end of my lease. I was in my Carlton house for two years before that. I've got a steady income and can pay rent and bills on time. I've also got some furniture / housewares / cook books which I'm happy to bring or put in storage. I also have some plants which I'd love to keep with me! I'm looking for a "home" and not a "place to sleep". Keen to be mates with my housemates instead of ships in the night but also respectful of privacy. I'm not into drugs. If you think you'd like to meet me / would make a great housemate let me know 🙂 Cheers, G
Hey future homies! I'm a friendly, fun 27 year old who works full time as a professional in the city. My housemates are relocating for work, so I'm on the look out for a new place to call home. I like to socialise and enjoy a good laugh and the company of others. I love travelling and heading out for brunch or drinks on the weekends. I’m a well-seasoned housemate, having lived in share houses and on res for many years. I’m clean, trustworthy and respectful of privacy. Basically I'm looking for a normal, happy home environment with friends, rather than a place to share rent. I also have an adorable puppy that would be happy to make a fluffy addition to the house (even if just for visits), but not at all a deal breaker. Please get in touch if I sound like the right fit for your home :)
