I'm a 28 year old programming language designer working in Melbourne! I'm friendly, quiet, and easy to live with, I pay my bills on time. I have a goofy sense of humor, appreciate a good coffee or beer, and am a lover of art, drawing, indie games, computer science and mathematics. Don't mind a chat, and being friendly and social, but I like to balance that with quiet time as well! Looking for a new place that is in a walkable area, and not too far from town. I have a bed, desk, and a bookcase of books, so I'll be on the lookout for an unfurnished room. Big fan of pets, and will love them if you have them!
Hi! My name is Vesa, I'm from Finland and I’m studying towards a master’s degree in music education at The University of Melbourne. I’m a peaceful person and easy to live with. My favourite hobbies are music (obviously), sports, such as jogging, cycling and swimming and I love hiking and outdoor life. Student parties aren’t my passion, I’d prefer a walk in a park or a chill board game evening. I’m tidy and systematic, and I like to keep the places clean and things in order. My studying and living are supported financially by Finnish Government, so you can be sure I’ll pay rents and bills on time. :)
Hi! I'm Alex, I'm 25, and a Brit moving to Melbourne for work. I'm just finishing up with my PhD in the UK and starting a new job as a researcher in mental health. I'm looking for a room in a house share ideally in Brunswick/ Carlton/ Fitzroy/ North Melbourne areas. I'm easy going, up for a laugh and keen to socialise as I'm new to the area. However, I'll also be busy with work and I'm happy with time on my own. I like going for drinks, dancing, reading, a good Netflix binge, and yoga. I like being outdoors and I'll be keen to explore and soak up some of the Melbourne sunshine. I'm looking for likeminded flatmates who are keen to share somewhere that's more of a home than just a place to sleep. I'm clean and tidy and will treat the house, and my flatmates, with respect. If you think I might be suitable for your house share please feel free to contact me for more information. Looking forward to hearing from you! Alex
Hi there future flattie! I'm a PhD student moving from NZ on the 16th February to study Pharmaceutical Research at WEHI so am looking for a sharehouse within a short tram ride to Parkville. I'm super excited to explore Melbourne and hopefully live with some great housemates/friends! A bit about me - I'm easy-going, tidy and respectful of others' space. Not much of a party-goer but I do love a good chat over a wine. I love keeping fit but definitely appreciate some good comfort food and love cooking Mexican! I'm sadly allergic to cats so cannot live with cat parents :( but am a HUGE dog lover! Flick me a message if you think we would make great flatmates. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi there! I'm an international student at the University of Melbourne, doing MSs of Construction Management in my second year. I'm Armenian raised in Russia. Have lots of cultural backgrounds to share! Passionate about languages, now speaking English, Armenian, Russian and currently learning Chinese and Spanish. My life goal is to speak 10 different ones. I consider myself as a mature and hard-working person. Always clean up everything after myself and respect others. I believe that my freeness ends where other persons begin. I am easy going and positive, with high life standards. Sometimes need time for myself though (kinda introvertish). I love European and Asian cuisines, exceptionally crazy about Italian. (no smelly nor messy cooking) Oh, btw, I have an awesome red motorbike, so grab a helmet and hop on for a windy ride! I will also need off-street parking for it (usually it's free for motorbikes) If you've read till this point and think that we share common values and interests, I would be happy to share a living space with you! The stay length is flexible. Feel free to drop a message!
Hi! I recently moved to Melbourne with a WH visa and I'm planning of staying here long-term. I'm a very responsable, easy going and respectful person - I enjoy riding my bike and friendly conversations. Looking for a quiet, peaceful private room in the northern suburbs of the city.
Hello! I'm from Canada and will be studying at the University of Melbourne for the next four years so I need a place to live! I'm a huge foodie and coffee lover, and love cooking (well.. mainly eating). Sociable, clean, and chill. I love traveling and hearing about travel stories. Interests mainly include breakdancing and eating.
Hello there future flatmates, hope you're stellar! I'm studying masters at the University of Melbourne. I am pretty easy to get along with, and am always up for a chat and a hangout every now and then. Although I might be pretty busy with my Uni studies, up for chipping in my share of cleaning and chores! Dogs and cats are cool , rodents.. not so much. I play Table-tennis and basketball but enjoy watching all sorts of sports, movies and crappy TV shows. I wouldn't mind smokers (not a smoker myself) as long as they don't smoke inside the house. Hit me up if you have a room to lease anytime after the 16th February. Cheers !!
Hey! I'm from the Netherlands and am looking to live in Melbourne for a couple of months before the snowboard season starts again in June. I am looking for a house with fun, energetic, positive people in it that might be able to show me where the good parties in Melbourne are. Other than parties in my free time I like to go for a surf or a skate. I would describe myself as an outgoing, social person with a positive vibe.
Hi there, My name's Daniel, 28 year old living in Melbourne by way of Miami. I speak English and Spanish. Currently working full-time as an administrator in a call centre. I've been living with housemates for ten years and am very courteous of the shared space. I keep a low volume and always clean up after myself. During the week, I'm working by day and running errands, reading, or going to the gym at night. During the weekend I like hanging out at the park, going for a hike, checking out the op shops, or exploring a new suburb. Looking for a room in the inner suburbs, not picky on north or south side. A furnished room (aka just a bed) is preferable. Would be wanting to move in by the second week of April, until mid June. I'm laid back and happy to give you your space but also happy to do activities with housemates and socialise over a meal or drink. Although I don't have any pets, I absolutely love animals and would gladly move in to a home with pets. Message me so we can set up a meeting or skype! Danny
I’m a registered nurse living the shift work life. I’m a reasonably social creature but I like my down time too. I’m friendly, tidy, respectful and happy to share some meals/wine/chats/existential crises. Can cook! I come with baggage - a super cute cat called Morrissey. He makes cat people out of the cat averse, I promise you’ll love him. He’s an independent inside/outside cat so he’s off exploring a lot of the time (read: sleeping in the sun) (and the world is his loo so no gross litter trays). You'll barely notice him. I’ve got houseplants galore, a cool chesterfield and come fully equipped with the rest of the house stuff (but I can storage what’s not needed). I’m looking for a chilled and tidy place with a bit of space and a cool guy or girl. If there’s somewhere for a herb garden - bonus! I like all kinds of greenery. I'm pretty laid back, love the beach, hangs with friends, wining/dining, music, photography and getting about in the sunny weather. I'm also pretty tidy and keep on top of the life chores. Hopefully you're something like this too!
We work at a Melbourne rock climbing gym, love foreign language and culture, authentic, clean, respectful and active people. 2 girls on exchange looking for accommodation for 4 to 5 months, starting end of February or early March. We’d love to be located in the center, near Carlton, Fitzroy or CBD. Only listings with two rooms available ! :)
I am from Uruguay and starting a Fashion Master (entrepreneurship) in RMIT in a couple of weeks. I'm into sustainable fashion, nature, gardening, bush walking. I get creative sometimes and embark in some silly project. I have lots of plants that I would like to bring over. My husband, a kiwi, and dogs will be joining me in 6 months so I only need a place for that long. I plan to work full time and travel to Sydney as much as possible. I'm pretty flexible in regards of what I am looking for but definitely I would like to share a house with laid back, mature, good vibes people. I am a no fuss kind of person but like to live in a tidy, clean space. A party house would not be a good fit.
Myself and my sister (25 and 26) are moving to Melbourne, we've just arrived a few weeks ago from NZ. We've been travelling for a few months now and are ready to settle down! We're both very easy going and can keep to ourselves but also keen to meet new people as we'll be new to the city. Occupation wise we left our jobs at home to travel and will be looking for jobs asap on arrival to Melbourne. We both worked in office roles, Jen in Marketing and Lorna in Compliance. We are interested in sports, food and cooking, culture, watching TV and movies and are keen to explore Melbourne and make the most of our time there.
31 and working in Architecture, I've been travelling to Melbourne from Sydney for work every few weeks this past year and decided to make the move a permanent one. I am looking for a clean, bright and happy house North or East of the city (e.g. Carlton/Fitzroy North to Richmond) to make my morning commute to Brunswick as quick and painless as possible. I am originally from Perth and lived in London for a few years before returning to the east coast, so I already have quite a few friends in Melbourne and like to think I'll be out for dinner a few nights a week and exploring on the weekend - but when I’m home I do like to relax, have a glass of wine and dissect the latest Netflix/Podcast recommendation. I am looking for an easygoing housemate(s) who wants to create a home to relax in and is happy to hang out over a few drinks/dinner from time-to-time. I survived my uni party days and am not looking to relive them, but do like having friends over for a beer when the weather calls for it. They call me the Queen of Cheeseboards for a reason. Bonus points: - I have a quick wit and dry sense of humour - I can’t run to save my life, but try to get to yoga or pilates a couple of times a week - I know a good red wine from a bad one (but will drink both) and am often complimented on my cheese platters - I am housetrained and well-travelled (but not a wanker about it) I'm flexible on move dates (anytime from early March through April) and would rather wait for the right house.
I’m in my final year of Masters while interning at a public health start up. I also work at a bar in Collingwood. I really like music, cooking and sewing when I get some time. Although I enjoy socialising I like my home to be a pretty peaceful place
Very respectful our audio and visual needs aka not loud and don't leave things lying about. Clean and tidy in shared spaces. Busy but social. Looking for LGBTQIA+ VEGAN, FEMALE or NON BINARY folks (yes this includes trans women, no TERFS thanks)
I’m Julia from Germany (Berlin) and will study psychology at University of Melbourne for an exchange semester. I’m really excited to get to know Australia and it’s culture :) I’m an easy going person and usually down for all kinds of activities (especially outdoor stuff) Looking forward to meet you :)
I am looking for my next home! I study and work part-time. I love to get to know those who I am living with and am hoping to find or help to create a community. Saying this, I also understand everyone has different commitments so I also respect housemate's space and privacy, enjoying my own also. I love to cook, sew, garden, create and share my skills, as well as learn from others. One of my favourite things is to cook and share meals. I am passionate about sustainability and architecture. I value honest and open communication. I don't mind the odd boogie on the weekend but don't bring the party home (I really just prefer having a quiet warm bed to go home to)! Wherever I live is not just seen as a roof above my head, rather somewhere I am proud of and excited to go home to after a long day. I am neat, clean and tidy and in the past have enjoyed using a rotating weekly cleaning roster to keep things in order (especially useful for those dreaded agent inspections)! Please get in touch if you have something in the areas I am looking in.
