I'm currently looking for an affordable and cozy place to stay in close to the University of Melbourne or within 20-ish mins by public transportation. I am a Law student from the University of Birmingham, UK. I'm very laid back, and I understand that you've got your own needs and private space. Can't wait to explore Melbourne ^^ Cheers, Madalina.
I am 32yo Japanese male, working for education agency in CBD Mon - Fri 9am-6pm. Now I have been working on business visa application so that I can stay more than 6 months (at lease 3 months with current visa). Also, I am able to move in anyday after 26th Feb. Mostly I cook dinner at home and do not mind sharing with flatmates while go out to hang out with friends sometimes. I would like to have a chat over a glass of wine with flatmates as well as respect privacy and personal time. Room must be as below: - a private room - no living share - clean and tidy (not extremely) - own key - good access to CBD - no weed/drugs preferable but unneccesary - gym and other fitness facility - outside social space (BBQ space and so) I have been in AUS for 2 years, living in share house. My current owner is leaving AUS therefore I am looking for a new flat. Could you please arrange an inspection if you are interested in. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
I'm a 34 yr old returning to Melbourne after a year up in Sydney for work. I've always shared north side over the years and have been really lucky so far in living with friendly, social and respectful housemates - hopefully my run continues! My interests are art, camping, having drinks with mates, cycling, travel, naps and going to gigs. I work full time as a project manager and am pretty quiet during the week but like to get amongst it come weekend. I'm hoping to find somewhere nice to move in ASAP. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message! Thanks, Michael
Working in the city as an economic consultant and have lived in share houses in Melbourne for three years already. Tidy, clean, friendly. Also respectful when other people need their space to recharge. In my spare time, I like to do creative writing, keep fit, drink loads of tea & coffee, travel the world, check out all the local cafes/pubs, cook up the occasional feast, and try out various “arty” hobbies with varying levels of success (podcast recording and random DIY, anyone?). P.S. Will sometimes make bad puns :)
Hiya, my name is Anushka I am a 27 year old Kiwi looking for a new place in Melbourne. Pretty easy going, I love to socialise with others but will also give you space when you need your alone time. I love to bake, I am quite the binge watcher and I am keen for a good brunch from time to time. I have been living in Melbourne for almost a year now and it has been great! I am ideally looking for a place that is a stay of 6 months or more, but I am pretty flexible.
Hi there! Pretty cool Sri Lankan here; I'm a Masters student at RMIT looking for a decent place to settle in. Employed as an electrical engineer for four years in the middle east. I'm respectful, clean, friendly and a simple guy, easy to live with. Just busy doing my thing and good at networking... :) Please feel free to call me for a chat. Cheers, Minura.
I am an international student, studying Bachelor of Commerce in the University of Melbourne. I will be starting my 3rd year. I consider myself to be tidy and organised, and an amicable person. I like to keep to myself, but I am always up for a chat. I like to hang out with friends, and watch tv shows in my free time.

Hey I'm Matt, I'm a pretty easygoing person who just relocated to Melbourne from Perth. I can also make a decent meal. Preferably I am looking for an unfurnished room that fits a queen bed but I'm willing to consider whatever is out there. It is essential that there is somewhere I can park my car even if it is just on the street
Hi, I’m Libby. I currently work as a psychologist and in research. When I’m not working, I’m into cooking and baking (will share baked goods - this is a plus), health and fitness, good (and sometimes bad) Tv shows on Netflix, music, and just being a sloth. I’m fairly sociable and enjoy hanging out with my friends on th weekend, having a drink and chatting every now and then, but also value alone-time and privacy, especially at home. I’m easy going and considerate, and keep things clean and tidy when I can. I’ve been living in the same sharehouse in Fitzroy with the same housemates for the last 3 years and I get along easily with people in general, but am pretty honest and straightforward when needed. Looking to move out as my current housemates are moving out and going their separate ways and I also want to join in this change (and end of an era). I have a car so parking space is essential - willing to pay for a permit if it is available.
Hey team - I am on the lookout for a quiet, well looked after and conveniently located house for 6 months, at which point I will be departing on exchange. This is my fifth year in Melbourne and my final year of undergraduate studying art history and criminology at Unimelb. Additionally, I am currently working part time as a tutor at one of the residential colleges, teaching undergraduate art history, politics and crim. As to a bit about me, I am originally from New Zealand, where I completed high school and before that Hong Kong, where I was born. My passions are for art, film and fashion and by extension, unending appreciation for a well designed and considered space. As a flatmate I am housetrained, considerate and know well to respect the space of others, you certainly won't have to worry about bills not being paid on time nor extra mess on my behalf. I appreciate you taking the time to have a read, I am ready to move at a moments notice and always look forward to the chance to meet new people so by all means get in touch. Cheers! Nick
20 years old exchange student of Fine Art on RMIT. Looking for a nice place I can call home together with some lovely people I'm an easy going and quiet person, looking forward to meeting some cool people and making new friends in Melbourne. I don't like living a messy place, I value a lot having my house well organized and pretty therefore I will help keep the place looking good! I like to have a healthy life style and eat healthy, I love food and enjoy cooking. I like to spend time in my room reading and drawing, outside exploring places in the city and having a good time with friends, or chilling at home watching movies. I respect others and value privacy, if you do too I'm sure we will get along and become good friends!
27 year old who works admin at a hospital (RMH) full time! I'm pretty low key during the week during work time although I enjoy a glass of red and a laugh, try to get out on the weekends and be social and do things! Love to pat every dog, contemporary art, having a drink and a dance, do enjoy the occasional big night out, meeting new people but also not leaving my bed because of Netflix! Also love a coffee, prosecco of any price range along, plants, reading and can cook a mean toasted cheese sanga. Always down for an NGV trip, music festival or market. I am occasionally 'fit' too, although my sugar addiction doesn't help. I do try my best! Not really looking for couples - sorry! Would prefer to live with similar aged ladies with great vibes although no real preference! I don't really come with any furniture although I can provide a couch and matching arm chairs - my TV decided to stop working so can't really bring one but for the rest I'm happy to scour kmart/gumtree/facey marketplace!
Hey! I'm a warm, open minded and respectful housemate always up for a good belly laugh, house movie nights, or just chilling on my own in the hammock with a good book. Huge animal lover, so pets are a plus. Vego, but anything but preachy. Musician, but respectful of the quiet hours. Ideally I'd love to find a place with a good garden to help out in, a bath, and I'm hoping for more of a sociable, friendly household; somewhere that's not afraid to go and grab beers together sometimes, while still keeping up a healthy respect for space and privacy too. Not looking for an immediate move, but just testing out the waters, and if the shoe sounds like it fits, let me know!
Hey I'm Flo and I'm a Registered Nurse from the Gold Coast (QLD). I've been living in Melbourne for just over 2 years now. I'm quite a bubbly person and I adapt well to almost all situations. When I'm not at work, I'm usually binge watching a series on Netflix, at the gym or I'm napping (nurse life). I love spending my time off exploring new places, creating things or going out for a few drinks with friends. I enjoy cooking and usually like to meal prep for the week depending on how my shifts are. I love having a chat but I also enjoy my alone time too and respect others and their needs. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me :)
I’m Kushal, 26, from India, doing masters in Uni Melb. I am a cryptocurrency trader and do freelancing on Bitmex and Bitfinex. I have been staying with housemates for the past 11 years and I know all the nuances there are. I can move in without anyone having much to compromise. I’ve travelled about 8 countries and 5 cities (In India) and stayed at all places so I’m very accustomed to different cultures and backgrounds. I used to be a Banker at Goldman Sachs which was my previous job and I quit to pursue future studies in Melbourne. I like to keep my surroundings clean and cook my own meals and spend time at the gym apart from having a good time with my housemates. Please do let me know if you’d be interested to have me. Thank You, Kushal Shrimankar
Hi, we're Joe and Jack, two 22 year old friends looking for a long term place in Melbourne. We're looking for two available rooms, or a possible lease transfer. Happy to move in right away but are flexible. Both of us are arts orientated, open-minded, and social guys. Really clean and considerate in shared areas. I (Jack) have just come back to Australia after living in Tokyo for a year. This is the last year of my bachelor's degree in Japanese. I play music and do recording. Joe is currently working part-time as a landscape gardener. We're into music, films, reading, video games and gardening around the house.
I'm a relaxed, easy going guy who gets along with everyone and likes being around people. Here's a bit about myself: I've just finished off a course in nursing and want to be a mental health nurse in the future. I won't be going straight into mental health nursing. I want a break to relax and earn some money so I'll continue at my currently job, were I am already working 4-5 days a week part-time/fulltime. I enjoy socialising and having a beer with friends and new mates and also love a kickback watching some tv and having a laugh at the couples on married at first sight (this level of comedy can’t be scripted), Netflix is a close second. I'm also currently living in a share house
Hello! We are two friends Kate and Linden looking for a housemate to team up with in applying for a 3 bedroom place in Richmond, Fitzroy, Abbotsford area. We both work full time, love a communal dinner, and survive our jobs with a few beers on the weekends. Looking for someone friendly, clean, also working full time, and preferably not travelling, although if you are here for more than a year that would work. Also would be happy to live with a couple (cheaper rent for everyone!). Our max budget each is 250/w, so looking for somewhere up to 750/w. Goal is to find a house or townhouse, not so keen on apartments. We are currently going to inspections and would like someone to apply with us and be on the lease. If this works for you, lets organise a catch up and get house hunting! Thanks Linden and Kate
I work full time in advertising as a Graphic Designer in Collingwood. I’m looking for a room in a relaxed/comfy sharehouse with other down to earth, tidy and respectful people. I enjoy my downtime but also keen to have other housemates I can socialise with. I love drawing, going to gigs and festivals, cooking, and keeping active. Ideally after a place close to public transport.
Hey:) We are two friendly Russian girls doing our Master's in Melb. Rina, 23 y/o, studying at Uni of Melbourne, Irina, 33, pursuing the degree at Monash Uni, both in love with Melbourne, sightseeing and travelling. We are easy-going and sociable, clean and tidy, respectful and responsible, always pay rent&bills on time. Unfortunately, we have to move out from our lovely houseshare in March due to construction works on the premises. Ideally, would like to get a long-term rent, preferably two private rooms in a nice sharehouse but would consider a shared room for two as well. We'd love to hear from you and tell you more :)
