Hi, I’m Alina, 27, from Germany.

I’m currently in Melbourne to write my Master’s thesis at the University of Melbourne and I’m looking for a short-term place from 25th February until mid April. I’m specifically looking for a sublet only, as I’ll be moving out again in April and don’t want to enter a long-term lease or organise a replacement tenant afterwards.

Ideally, I’m looking for a studio or one-bedroom apartment, but I’d also be happy with a shared apartment if I have my own bathroom, or at most share it with one other person. Privacy is very important to me, so it needs to be completely okay if I keep to myself and live my own routine.

That said, I do enjoy a friendly and relaxed living environment. If it’s a shared flat, I’d love the option of an occasional game night or cooking together, while still respecting each other’s space.

I’m tidy, considerate and non-smoking, and I live a fairly active lifestyle. I enjoy cycling, swimming and staying active, but I also love calm evenings at home. I’m easygoing, respectful and used to shared living.

In terms of budget, 450 AUD per week including bills is my absolute maximum, and I’d of course be very happy to find something a bit below that if possible.

Location-wise, I’m looking for a quiet area with minimal street noise and good public transport connections, as being able to get to UniMelb easily is a must for me.
