$300/week•25 year old man
[Intro]:
Starting in July 2022, I will pursue my PhD in Economics at Monash University. So, I have a very stable income till 2026! :) Over the last 4 years, I've been living in northern Germany (Hamburg and Kiel). I am a versatile, kind, and forthright person, who values self-reflection, being true to myself, empathy, enjoying this life to the fullest, and appreciating diversity. Plus, I like cracking jokes and having a laugh.
Currently, I am a research fellow at the Kiel Institute for the World economy. I have a master's degree in Economics, with minors in Philosophy of Science and Political Theory. On a side note, I strive to deal with fundamental economic problems, one of which will be a part of my PhD dissertation. You can take a look at my recent research work on my blog: https://www.development-review.org
[Hobbies]:
I cannot imagine my life without having fun and entertainment. I like sports, meditation, stand-up comedy, and cooking. Some specific sports-related hobbies include playing ice hockey, sailing, kayaking, and capoeira. Btw, any sports activity recommendations in Melbourne are welcome! :)
[Flat/ home share experiences/ expectations]:
With roughly 3 years of shared flat experiences in Hamburg and Kiel, Germany, I had a lovely time with all of my former flatmates. And we are still in close contact.
I am a communicative person and like to share significant life events with others and listen to them with care and attentiveness. Besides, I value flexibility, spending some time together, and respecting individual personal spaces. I am always happy to cook for my future flatmates. For example, I know a couple of delightful dishes from German, Thai, French, Spanish, Chinese, Azerbaijanian, and many other cuisines. So, I would be glad to have dinner or a drink occasionally, depending on our living arrangements.
[Location]:
I will have an office space at the Monash Business School located in Caulfield East. So, any location within 30-40 min. walking distance of the Monash Business School is sufficiently good for me.
