Marcus, 26 years old, Australian born but also the proud holder of a British passport (thanks mum). I was born in Melbourne and have lived here most of my life - except for 6 months in Canada and 2 years living in Ireland. Recently returned to Australia to lay some roots down, I am now looking to move out into the outer city suburbs to make it easier to get to work and to be in amongst this great city. I am an English language teacher working in the CBD on weekdays, in the evening and on weekends I like to work on my writing. I value my own space, independence and am an introvert at heart, but I love socialising with people as long as they are genuine and easy-going. I have a low tolerance for facades and would expect respect and honesty from potential housemates. As I work in a social job, and am quite drained at the end of a day, I would like to live with others who respect the space of others while at the same time enjoying hanging out occasionally. I'm not after a party household and would enjoy living with others who are in their later 20's who want a mature and "got-their-shit-together" type to join their household. My main hobbies include reading, writing, photography (medium format film), and going to the cinema. I love visiting Nova Cinema, the Astor and the Kino in the city and try to go once a week (minimum). I'm also a voracious music lover and have it on most of the time - thank you Spotify! Expect to hear me singing along to Jens Lekman or Kings of Convenience at some point! Socially, an ideal night out would be a good dinner then plenty of red wine and chats, or seeing some live music. I also adore coffee and enjoy nothing more than sitting at a cafe with friends, chatting, or doing some writing while sipping on a strong flat white (Melbourne cliche!). Ultimately, I would be a very easy person to live with. I have been known to be very empathetic to others and a fantastic listener. I also respect the space and boundaries of others. I could be seen akin to the common house cat - quiet, clean, joining in socially at times, but fully independent (minus the fur-balls and litter tray dramas). I would be after a non-furnished room in a cosy house with lots of light. The vibe is important for me. Also want a room big enough for my bed, a desk, and all my books.
Hey there, my name is Giles. I'm a 34 year old kiwi who has been living in Melbourne for almost 10 years. I am a carpenter and I love my work. I work Monday to Friday and the occassional Saturday. During the week I'm up and out of the house pretty early to get to work by 7am. I own a Toyota Hilux and would really like to park it off the street at night as it has been broken into recently I'm pretty happy and cruisy. I love most outdoor activities like hiking and camping and going to the beach. I also love sport - both watching and playing. I think of myself as a fairly social person and do enjoy great company, although I'm far from a party animal (getting too old for that!). I am quite partial to having a few beers or wines with dinner or over the weekend. Cheers
Hello hello :-) I'm a friendly, tidy 29yo looking for a place to stay short-term in Melbourne. I've just come back from 7 months backpacking through South America, now I'm going back to the corporate life for a bit to save up for my next trip. I've got a 6-8 week contract at the Dept Health in Melbourne, which could turn into a longer-term thing or could not, so I'm looking for somewhere that will accept me for just two months to start. I cook and I clean (you should try my lemon chicken and baked feta), I love to talk and I'd much prefer a glass of wine over a game of scrabble than a party every weekend. I love to talk travel, current events, and food, and I love cycling. I'll be working a pretty standard 9-5 and I'm happy to hang out or do my own thing as the house goes. I'm deathly allergic to prawns so if they're on your menu every day that's not going to work for me, but other than that I'm open to any food preferences you've got, and any life styles. Gay and trans friendly, happy to live with kids if you've got them. Ideally I'd love a furnished place. I've got nearly all the things but would prefer not to have to transport them down from my Mum and Dad's in NSW. Happy to contribute any car-sized bits of furniture needed (TV, Wii, kitchenware, things...). I also need parking, though I'm fine with legal on-street parking. My job starts on Jan 30 (just confirmed!) so I'm hoping to move next week, or early the week after - I'll be staying with my sister in Brunswick East until then, but TBH I'm not so keen on sleeping on the floor for longer than I have to! Let me know if you'd like to chat - excited to meet you and start the next part of my adventure! Martina :-)
Hi, I'm Shannen, 21, and work as a full time Nanny. I love a good tv series and spend my weekends socialising, having a drink or with family. I'm tidy, respectful and can cook simple meals, woo. Am always up for a chat/drink/Netflix but also happy to keep to myself. I have a playful staffy who loves people! If you don't like dogs then we won't get along.
Engineer-Traveller-Model-Dancer-Photographer I am In Australia for doing my Masters.I am extremely easy to get a long with, humble, tidy and friendly.I love to make new friends.I'm respectable & clean.I love to hangout with my friends.I am looking for a new home and friends while I study and work in Melbourne.Together we will rock !
Hi my name is Lauren. I'm 27 and working full time in government, in a role with varied and sometimes long hours so will be out and about a bit. When I'm not working I like to get outdoors as much as possible, whether it be the beach, hiking or riding, I just generally like being outdoors! I like to also go to whatever sporting event is on in Melbourne, and check out gigs where I can. I'm an easy going and energetic person, who loves a chat and a drink with th people I live with, but am also respectful of space having lived in a couple of share houses. I am ideally trying to look for a place that can also accomodate my little 6 year old Jack Russell Emma (I did not name her haha). She's a little dog who loves a snuggle, isn't a barker and generally chills during the day when she's not begging for a walk, and likes sitting outside watching for possums at night. She can sleep in or outside.
Hey maybe/sorta roomie! What's to know? I moved to Melbourne about nine months ago and have completely fallen in love with the city. I'm a student at Victoria University at the moment, though i'll be transferring to La Trobe mid this year. I'm always friendly; a bit of a bookworm; at times quite reserved and quiet, but always caring for those i meet along the way. Tidy, respectful, reliable - all that important jazz. Whilst I'm a sociable person, I definitely respect the need for housemates to have space :) Hope i hear from you!
Hi! I am a happy, easy going, female professional (EA) looking for a room. Mon-Fri 9-5 type! Very clean and tidy, more or less an early riser, into fitness and artistic things. I sing and used to do gigs, bit of theatre too both of which I hope to get back into! Flying over from Perth, already have a job lined up so hoping to find somewhere to stay before I start on the 13th of Feb. I've done this all before(share houses) and are very respectful about paying rent and bills on time. I don't drink much during the week but do love dinners and a wine from time to time. I'm chatty but respectful of all flatmates personal spaces and quiet times too. I wont eat your food or keep you up all night :) I have a cat Roger, he is a pure bred ragdoll that I would like to eventually come over. He is lazy, just sleeps and will keep to my room or outside but also has a great personality. I own a surfboard and skateboard plus a tent and a couple little things I'd hope to stick in a corner somewhere if possible? Shed maybe? I don't have a car so need to be close-ish to public transport (Work in Richmond) and may get a bike down the line. Unfurnished or semi furnished is fine, I'm bringing over my queen mattress so that's all I really would want of my own at the least. Looking for 6-12months maybe more but obviously see how logistics and personalities all fit :)
Hey! My name's Adriana and i'm from the UK. I have been in Melbourne for a few months and am working as a florist. I am currently looking for a room from mid Feb until April. I'm an easy going housemate, sociable, tidy and a non-smoker. I love travelling, gigs and cooking.
I'm a 30 year-old employment lawyer looking to move in with 2 or 3 other professionals of a similar age. I love good food, good wine/beer, going out with friends, cycling, running, being outdoors, salsa dancing and volunteering. I work hard and really enjoy lots of exercise and sleep so am looking for a quiet house, but I also enjoy socialising so would definitely be up for dinners/drinks/cups of tea when at home. I'm very clean in common spaces, respectful of others and very reliable with rent, bills etc.
Hey there! I'll be moving to Melbourne for Uni soon and am keen to find some housemates and a nice place, preferably with a private bathroom. I'm going to be studying Medical Radiation - Nuclear Medicine at RMIT Bundoora. I won't have a car so somewhere close to Uni or not too long by public transport, would be convenient. I'm very friendly, tidy, happy to share chores, love to socialise and up for a chat but sometimes prefer my own space. Up for drinks once in a while and I'm a non-smoker so I'd like to stay in a similar environment. Movies, TV shows and Music are life!! (we'll always have something to talk about :p) I'm currently unemployed but I'll be looking for part-time jobs as soon as I move. Move date hasn't been finalised yet as I am still discussing everything with my parents, but it's most likely start/mid Feb. Cheers :)
Originally from Byron, I've lived in Melbourne for 3 years. Currently working as a bartender in the CBD. I'm a huge nerd, love board games and medieval history. Also really handy, love building furniture and sets for theatre, I'm also currently refurbishing a small sailboat. Relaxed around the house, like my own space but I'm always down for communal house dinners and board game nights, which I supplement with cocktails ;) Also not afraid of hard work, I'm currently living in a garage I renovated (need to get out before it gets too cold in winter!) so if there are any big jobs that need doing I'm your guy!
My name is Hayley, I'm 26 years old, and work full time in child health research in Parkville. I'm very clean and friendly and I like living in positive, peaceful homes. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out with friends, going to the gym, and photography. I like keeping things quiet during the 9-5 working week. My weekends are spent doing relaxing activities such as yoga, socialising, or going on day trips. I'm looking for a private ensuite room with a car space for around $200-230 in the inner east/south-east.
I am 25 year old female and have just completed studying nursing and paramedics in Ballarat. I am relocating to Melbourne for a new job, so am looking for somewhere to live long term. I am a clean, respectful and easy going person. I am social, but also mindful of people’s space and privacy. I have an established network in Melbourne but am also looking forward to meeting new people. I am always up for shared dinner and drinking wines/beer/gin together. I love a good gig, card game, good shower pressure and sunshine. I am outdoorsy and active, but no exercise fanatic. I try to ride where I can, but also have a car.
Hi There! I'm Jess, an American expat from Austin, TX living in Melbourne for the last four months on a work & holiday visa. I am an independent contractor in the entertainment & events industry. I've just started a contract with Cirque du Soleil & will be with them for the next 2.5 months. I also pet / house sit so sometimes I'm gone for several days at a time. I am a music junkie so I always have my speaker going but will keep the volume down if you don't want to jam out with me. In my free time I like to enjoy the great outdoors, go to concerts, grab beers with friends, try new restaurants & spend a stupid amount of money on food from QVM. At home I love to cook, open a bottle of vino & Netflix it up. I do thoroughly enjoy my alone time but love to socialize as well so I can gel with whatever you like. Currently seeking a flat north of the river for a two month commitment to start with the ability to extend that if applicable. I will know by late Feb / early March as to whether I will be staying in Melbourne longer. I don't have much stuff with me since my exact time here is still TBD but I do have some kitchen appliances, an HDMI cord & a full bedroom set for myself which I can sell if furnishings are not flexible. I've also got an HBOGO account for communal use. Look forward to chatting with you about your place! :)
Hi, my name is Kelly. I work part-time for the federal government while also studying psychology. I'm a friendly and considerate flatmate. For me, home is a sanctuary and I value a peaceful, respectful and clean living environment. I'm a vegetarian, but don't mind if my flatmates aren't. I'm a non-smoker and am looking to live in a smoke-free home. In my free time I enjoy doing yoga and going for walks, picnics and bike rides. I also love going to the opera, ballet and art galleries.
Hey there, I'm a 26 year old male who has lived in various share houses for the past few years whilst working full time. I recently returned from a 4 month overseas trip and decided to leave my 6-year job behind as well. However, I still have plenty of savings left, so paying rent/bond/bills are no issue at all, and once I am settled in a place I will jump back into the workforce. I pay things on time and am a tidy housemate. I'm a music producer, am into photography/video and generally enjoy spending my time being creative. I also enjoy cooking, so I cook most nights too (fingers crossed for a gas stove 🤞). I have travelled quite a bit so am open to many types of people from all walks of life. I enjoy a good chat but also respect everyone's privacy. On some weekends I might be out and about, but other weekends I might be relaxing at home... probably eating various cheeses. Every now and then I might head away to a music festival for a few days, too. My main requirement is that I would need a larger room to hold both my bed and my large desk with studio equipment (the desk is about 2m wide). Even though I make music, I am courteous of others and at night time I make music on my headphones 🎧. If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message 😀 .
Hey team Recently moved down to Melbourne to study Youth Work at RMIT and indulge in the lifestyle down this way. Originally from Coffs Harbour but have been living in Canada doing some cool things for a couple of years, but wanted to come down to Melbs and study. I'm 26 and I've been waitressing, travelling and Skiing around the world since I left high school and now keen for something new. The music scene/ creative vibe of Melbourne has definitely attracted me to this city. I'm down to earth, social, very much into gigs and live music- music in general and being around people but also love my down time and respect people's personal space. I've been living in staff housing and share houses throughout my travels so I totally respect different lifestyles, living arrangements, personal boundaries and the big one... being tidy 🙂 I've also been known to have killer dance moves and I can show you my ways if you would like. I want to live with people who are like-minded, and love to have a chat/drink/ meal together every now and then. I love drinking coffee, sports, and getting outside and taking advantage of the weather when its lovely :) Thanks so much!!! Look forward to hearing from some people! Aimee
Hi potential housies, I'm looking at joining a social sharehouse around the Collingwood/Fitzroy area. I'm missing a backyard, as I love spending time outdoors, so would prefer that or a decent balcony. Off street parking would be a win but not a deal breaker. I've lived in sharehouses for a while now both in Perth (worked there for a couple years) and Melbourne. I'm sociable, clean and easy going and looking for housemates that are similar in that regard. I'm not looking to join a party house, but more than happy to share a chat, food or a drink or two. I love the outdoors and like to stay active - cycling mainly, but keen to get back into my fencing and get into climbing/bouldering. I also like exploring the local area - cafes, bars and restaurants. If you reckon I sound like a potential housemate please let me know. Cheers Yen-Sen
Hey! I'm a Canadian, 24 years old and really easy going. Ill will be starting my masters program at the University of Melbourne in January! I don't party too often and really enjoy a chill quiet atmosphere. I enjoy playing volleyball and have a pretty active lifestyle. I consider myself a pretty clean and tidy individual. :)
Hi we are Harrison and Ali . We are a couple that have recently moved down from Brisbane. We aged 24 and 23 😊. Harrison works as a guest relations at a hotel in the city and Ali works as a research assistant at Austin hospital. We have a little pooch called Salvador he is 3 in april and a mini spoodle but he has identity confusion and believes he is a mini schnauzer. He is house trained and loves to sleep all day apart from his walks and park dates everyday. We enjoy hanging out , talking and socializing with our housemates but we also love and respect privacy and down time. We are into a clean environment. Our hobbies include markets, parks, outdoor adventures, going out to dinner and all in all just relaxing
26 DOB 19/04/1990 Looking to move Late April 2017. I grew up in Perth WA (WaitAwait) Australia Have friends in Melbs already. But looking for a cheap start to my integration to the city. I have recently returned from a three month holiday in the US, visiting old college mates from my time spent studying a business bachelor and playing college baseball (2008-2012.) The holiday was the trip I needed for inspiration to begin a new path in life at 26. I am a very grounded individual, perhaps with no spectacular specific skills but I believe I posses an attitude and vibe that can integrate into any environment. I am currently open minded to all offers who wish to discuss their home sharing situation and see if are able to live together. I still play baseball but at an amateur level and less competitively and may take a year off while i settle into Melbourne and work on my knew passion, Music production and writing music. ( I can do my work with head phone when required :) haha) I also have a currently 7 Month old Husky (MegMac) she will be just 1 YO by the time i am ready to move into melbs. She is extremely placid and well trained as an out side dog from her birth. She is still a shy puppy so I'm guessing she will be a little shy to start with a move to big city. Kind regards Adam, Adam, Adz, G333, the list goes on
My partner is leaving me behind for the year while she heads to Canberra for work. I'm looking for a new home, and new people to share with. I'm in my mid-twenties, working part time as a landscape labour and casually in a small local brewery. I'm a keen home brewer and regularly brew (pretty damn tasty) beer, so if you've got room for me and little bit of brewing gear you can look forward to a reasonably consistent stream of good beer. I'm into a wide range of music and would like to find a house where music is enjoyed and shared. I enjoy bushwalking/hiking and I may talk about plants a bit too much whilst I am doing those things. I've lived in a few sharehouses both in Sydney and down here, and am reliable and communicative re rent, bills and chores etc... I have lived in the inner north now for around two years and am hoping to find a new house here with housemates who are fairly chill, and like some of the same stuff as me, as well as some things I am yet to enjoy.
I am Zarli and my partners name is Rory. We are both turning 20 this year and are from country victoria wanting to move to the northern suburbs of Melbourne. I will be studying nursing at ACU and my boyfriend will be working full-time. We both have savings behind us so paying rent on time etc will never be an issue. We are both reliable, considerate, honest, and aware of the needs of others. We love to chat and share a meal from time-to-time but are also introverted and enjoy our alone time. Would love the chance to get to know you better and what you are looking for in a housemate! Cheers!
Hi. I'm a teacher and writer, returning to Melbourne after two years living and teaching in England. This year, I shall be located in my classroom Wed-Fri, while Mon-Tue shall be devoted to deep immersion in writing novels, with the exception of periodic forays into the kitchen in search of sustenance. On weekends, I'm likely to be either writing, on a day trip or visiting family & friends and on school holidays I like to travel -finances permitting. I'm looking for housemates who enjoy a balance of sociability and personal space. I'm up for a chat and occasional shared dinners -which worked very nicely at my last share house. Having rented my own house in rural Vic prior to England, I'm no stranger to housework which I prefer to do A. regularly and B. properly.
We are Kirstin and Eric and are both from London, United Kingdom. We are both 27 years old and looking for a room in a shared house in Melbourne. We are new to the area and looking for a place that feels homely. We are searching for a double bedroom anywhere in Melbourne which is preferably fully or part-furnished and we are available to move in as soon as possible. We are a clean, tidy and friendly couple with references from previous landlords. I work in social care, Eric is a warehouse manager and we've lived in shared houses before. Thank you for reading this and please contact us if you have any questions. Kirstin & Eric
Hi legends, I'm moving back to Melbourne after a few years in Sydney. Have lived in share accommodation for a while and it's been a mix of couples, guys, girls and aged between 20-38 y/o. So I have a great understanding of what it takes to make a share house work :). So, me, I'm single straight male aged 37 and I'm moving back to Melbourne to start working on a big dream of mine (my current job is a 60+ hour week and doesn't allow me the time to work on it). I'm a bit of a health-nut, but also enjoy a vino on the couch with the housemates, and the odd catch up at the pub. I'm easy going and happy to have a chat about anything, but realise the need for personal space too. I keep a clean house and happy to get in the kitchen. I currently have most household things: fridge, washing machine, large u-shaped couch, appliances, etc. But am planning to sell before I move back (so let me know if you want me to keep anything).
Looking for a furnished room from mid Feb- mid to end of June or something long term for a a year or longer. Definitely looking for somewhere that has a washing machine and a room that is furnished with at least a bed. I'm a uni student from the US and work 3-4 days a week in the CBD so I'd prefer to live relatively close but would also love to be halfway between school and work with easy public transit. Walking distance to the 86 tram line is a giant plus. I love gardening, being outdoors, live music, watching netflix, meeting new people, swimming laps, or just hanging out and having a drink. Looking for tidy but laid back roomies so if you have a spare room holla at me! If I'm loving it and it's not too far from uni then I would consider a longer stay (just have plans to be travelling end of June- end of August) Thanks!
My name is Tess (23) and my boyfriend (Spencer, 25) and I are looking for a place. We are both clean and considerate people especially as we live by the "you cook I clean" way of life between us. We are sociable and good for a chat but also have our own thing going on. I have just graduated an honours thesis in climate science and am looking to move into a job in science communication. To pay the bills I am a maritime technician and market researcher in the meantime. I have been describes as 'enthusiastic and buoyant' and love sailing and rock climbing. Spencer is studying audio engineering and has two part time jobs as an audio engineer and in market research. Spencer is extremely relaxed and very easy to get along with. Please let us know if you'd like anymore information or would like to meet us! I am up north working until the 19th but Spen is about and would be happy to drop in!
Ciao! My name is Chiara, I'm italian and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I'm currently working in an international environmental not-for-profit organization. I'm easy going, open mind and plus I love beers. I like meeting new people, get to know other cultures, hanging out with friends, having dinner together because food is sharing. I lived in a sharehouse in Italy and in France so I have already experienced living with others. I love sharing, have a chat with my flatemates when I get back from work but I also like having my own space :)
Hey flatmate world, We're a fun loving couple looking for some new housemates in Jan/Feb 2017! We both work full time but are definitely up for getting together with our roomies for a social drink or bite to eat whenever possible. We both love going for brunch, playing different sports and watching trashy telly in our spare time. While we are a couple we are also great at doing thing separately. We are both super clean and as an added bonus Max is a tradie so he's super helpful with jobs around the house. Together we also have all the furniture needed to furnish a new house so if yours is missing anything, there's a high chance we'll have it. This is also perfect for anyone wanting to team up. If you want to know anything else about us feel free to message!
I am friendly professional, well travelled who enjoys meeting new people. My background is in HR and Recruitment. I have lived and worked in Europe, Middle East, Australia and Africa and traveled through Asia and few places in Central America.
I'm considerate and clean, can make a great michelada and have a fridge...or I don't, the fridge doesn't have to come basically. I don't own that grey hat anymore either :(
Hi, I am a 27-year old female who moves from Germany to Melbourne to study Naturopathy. My Uni is in Elizabeth St so I would like to look for something close by. I am a qualified yoga instructor as well as fitness instructor and an almost qualified Health Coach. I love cooking (healthy), being active enjoying the sunshine and I love spending my time with friends, to talk, laugh, watch movies instead of going out partying.
Evie!!!!! I'm the one in the red skirt!!! 21!!!! Tall!!!!! Friendly!!! 3 orders away from a free meal on menulog!!!!!! I am working full time in customer service for CrownBet in the CBD. I can touch type 40 words and I've a full driving license with two points on it. I've a decent knowledge of geography. And a basic award in water safety!!!!!!!!! Anyway, simple girl simple pleasures. Currently staying with my beefy BF for a bit, looking for a room in a chill house with happy lovely people. Not a party gal these days what with work keeping me busy but like bottle of fat lamb and a George Michael sing along every now and again. Respectful of your private space and treasure my own. Love my down time hiding under the covers but enjoy cooking a meal together or having a cuppa on the couch while watching a monthly fail compilation on youtube. Clean up after myself and strongly oppose dishes in the sink for longer than 6 hours!!!! In between work, friends and family I'm not home a huge deal but when I am i'm usually just laying low. Ultimately wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin' and plannin' and dreamin' for a place with some people who are down to earth, respectful, honest and fun to be around. In return I can offer all that and more. More shitty pop culture references if you want but completely understand if you don't. I'm a hard working gal who just wants a home I can call home and house mates I can call friends. Hit me up if you think we'd get along. Cheers, Evie!!!
Hi, I'm looking for a room or bungalow with a friendly household that also appreciates each others' need for solo time. Hello! I work in hospitality and am in the process of relocating to Melbourne. I've lived in Sydney all of my adult life in shared housing situations, and have gotten along well with a good mix of people. I prefer living in a place where the occupants are happy to mingle and socialise, especially over drinks and/or food, but understand the need for personal space as well. I enjoy cooking at home, and will be bringing a bunch of cool kitchen toys with me! At other times I run fairly regularly for exercise, or play video games on the computer. My work hours will very likely be late and long. I do my best to keep things quiet when I come home late and have never had complaints from the other 9-5ers I live with. I don’t have a pet but love animals, so I’m happy to feed or walk/exercise your pets. I’m looking for a long-term home (6 months or more) and would like to move around the 1st of February, with some flexibility. I should have a job by then but if you’re (understandably) apprehensive, I’m open to discussing arrangements for contingencies or a guarantee of some sort.
36 year old professional Asian woman, friendly and clean. Recently returned from traveling for six months overseas, resettling back in Melbourne. I love dogs, love to cook and have a good sense of humour. Not much of a party person. Happy to do my own thing.
Me and my partner are looking for a small flat or a room in a sharehouse. We're from Poland. We're easy-going, friendly, funny, clean couple. We love to spend our free time outdoor. We're perfect neighbours or flatmates :)
I'm a chilled 36-year-old gay English/Australian. I work in tech and am being relocated back to Melbourne with work, after two years in Sydney. I love Melbs and can't wait to be back. Usually found in a yoga studio, gym or hanging with mates. Looking for a nice place to call home, ideally with my own bathroom.
Work full-time, currently living in an apparent by myself, getting a bit sick of it, lease is going month to month so I can move anytime. Good rental history, already own sofa, fridge, chairs, washing machine, coffee table, tv and a bed. I can sell these if they're not needed. I play guitar and sing every day but I am always considerate of others about times about level of noise. I play footy over winter, love watching live music and like a good drink every now and then.
Hi there! I'm looking for a room in a modern house/apartment in either Clifton Hill, Fitzroy North, Collingwood, Abbotsford or Northcote. I'm a full-time professional working in the public sector. My hours are typically 9 - 5 but I'm usually out after work either training or at the gym. My job can be full-on and my life is generally pretty busy so I'm not looking for a “party house” at all but somewhere where I can come home at the end of a long day and relax. I'm easy-going, social and enjoy meeting new people. When I'm not at work I'm either at jiu-jitsu, the gym, yoga or catching up with friends! I love my life in Melbourne and being positive and active. I’m looking for a modern room in a sharehouse, ideally with mature people (28+), non-smokers. I’m available to move in from 21 January onwards. Please message me if you have a room in these suburbs that you think I might be interested in! I can provide references upon request. Thanks :)
My name's Sam. I'm 30 & I've been living in Melbourne for the last 6 years. I currently work full-time in the CBD in customer service, 9-5:30 Mon to Fri. In my spare time I enjoy reading tech blogs, skateboarding, start-ups, Big Bash cricket (carn the Stars!) and the occasional Netflix binge. I'm currently looking to find a relaxed space to share with some friendly people before the end of February (as I'll be visiting Japan for a fortnight mid March). I'm looking to stay long term (>6 months), and am happy to put my name on the lease if needed. I'm share-house trained, clean, respectful, timely with bills and LGBTQ friendly. I'm looking for flatmates who are approachable and enjoy sharing a few drinks over dinner now and then, but understand that everyone needs their own space from time to time. Ideally I'm looking for a home more than a house, and enjoy being social with my flatmates.
Hi! My name is Anna, I am a full-time masters of architecture student at the University of Melbourne. I would enjoy a fun, social house - with some shared meals and cooking (I'm vegetarian). I like to focus on study during the week, but also do yoga, go for walks, drink cups of tea and chat, see friends - and I like to go out on the weekends for some beers. I like to keep things very clean and keep rent and bills all happening on time.
Hi! I'm from the Netherlands and looking for a room in Melbourne! I'm clean and like cooking! I don't smoke. I'm travelling for a year and staying in Melbourne for 2/3 months! Let me know if you're interested!
I work full-time hours and study by side, when I'm at home I'm pretty chill and need some down time, but I like to social when I'm around and also respect to your own space. I prefer not living in a party house but do enjoy the odd drink/dinner. I'm very clean and tidy (but not a clean freak type), friendly and open-minded. I'm into travelling, movies, music, sports, photography, arts, food, coffee and cats :) I work in a restaurant as a pastry chef, besides my works, I like to go to the gigs, movies, exhibitions, shows, festivals, exploring the nice restaurants/cafes/pastry shops/markets, and travel when I have holidays. My favorite hangout suburbs are inner east and inner north, bay side in the summer. Although we might have the different work schedules, I'm very respectful and won't bring the party to home. I am happy to share the household as I like to keep the house clean and tidy, I'm looking for the liked -mind housemate who likes clean and tidy. I'm looking for a peaceful home to live with positive people, we can be independent but I'm not looking for just share the house, I like people. *** Allergy of the TV sounds, prefer to live with somebody who is not addicted to the TV (e.g. in need of turning on the TV every minute when at home, and sleep) and enjoy the relaxed quiet home. If your home is TV free, it will be a great bonus to me! Reliable and honest, pay rent on time. Conscious of the wastage of the energy. Looking for a relaxed home, not a party house. Clean and tidy, happy to join the household. Independent, share when I/you want to. Don't mind smokers but no smoking in the house. Open-minded, love multi- cultural, LGBT friendly, 40+ friendly. Pastry chef, occasional sweet treats :) Cat lover, meow in the house is very welcome! Please message me before calling, thank you!
Me (Marcelle), I'm a 24 year old fine art student at RMIT majoring in photography and will be going into 3rd year. Also work as a bartender in Footscray . Love to have a drink with some mates and nice chats, we are both pretty laid back. All about house family vibes and getting on. Love to cook too. Not very good at writing about myself let alone selling myself haha. Anika (my girlfriend), 22, German, is a musician, just graduated from uni in London and works for Milk! Records. Loves to travel and chill out and tell really lame dad jokes.
I am a 31yo Female finally moving from Brisbane to follow my life goals of living in Melbourne. I am a registered nurse working part time whilst studying naturopathy part time at endeavour college. I have lived in share accommodation most of my life and have met some of my best friends doing so. I'd say I am a considerate, friendly, easy going and clean housemate. I am looking to move into a home not a party house although I don't mind a casual wine here and there. With the hours I keep and how busy life is for me I like to use home as a place of recoup and grounded-ness. I am hoping to find lovely housemates to share a lovely home with. I look forward to meeting you :)

Ethan and Kalen here. We're brothers looking to share accommodations while we complete our third year at RMIT. We're both laid back and friendly, and recognize the value in cleanliness and hard work. Between us we cover a wide range of hobbies, from writing to gaming to programming to music, etc. We have no pets, but have no objections to flatmates that do.
Hi, I'm 31. I work as a criminal defence lawyer (so defending people charged with offences ranging from serious drug trafficking to drink driving). Before that I worked for a Judge. I'd say I'm easy to get along with and I'm interested in most things (probably too many things!): - I try to go swimming once a week; - I play organised hockey and have a kick of soccer with friends most weekends; - I like a range of music and usually go to Rainbow Serpent and the occasional event; - I go down to the beach a fair bit in summer; - I read pretty widely and I've just started learning how to draw; - I've done quite a bit of travelling and stuff like picking grapes in WA and reasonably lengthy hikes. I'm pretty easy about how much I need to pay. It would be nice to be in a house with people who are happy to hang out from time to time. My move in date and length of stay is also flexible.
My name is Ricci and I'm 24 (almost 25). I'm a kindergarten teacher. I'm an optimistic, kind and generally easy to get on with kinda person. I value people with a sense of humour and fun about them and strive to be like that myself. I've done the sharehouse things many times before. I'm respectful, clean and tidy up after myself. I love travelling, markets, exploring and just having fun!
