Hey, I'm looking for a long term room in any of the inner suburbs, preferably within 45 mins cycling time of carlton. I work part time and spend the remainder of my time reading, tryna learn piano and going on outings with friends. Have lived in share houses before and am tidy + reliable with cleaning up and paying rent/bills. I'm always up for the odd cook up/cheap wine when I'm around but respectful of others' space/time. I'll need a place with parking available (street is fine). If you think you've got something in my budget - max $650 p/m - shoot me a message :) Emily
Whilst Facebook knows me as 'Utah' (long story), I’m Jackson - 24 (although some of my friends would say 30), full-time economist, barista extraordinaire and film buff (I also have a budding interest in baking!). I'm Melbourne born and raised, but have a U.S. citizenship (not that I plan on taking advantage of that anytime soon...). I'm a very easy-going, friendly and open person, but also take pride in being organised, clean, and respectful of others. I'm by no means I fitness freak, but just like to stay active by going for an occasional run, or a nice walk. I'm currently on the hunt for a room close to the city, just to make the commute to work easier, and to experience life in the vibrant inner-city culture and surrounds. I've had rooms in share houses before - in Copenhagen, in Berlin and here in Melbourne. I've been an avid traveller for most of my young adult life, having spent many long trips in Europe and surrounds, and have spent 3 months in Cambodia working on a micro-finance project. When I get the chance, I love to go to a local café, sample a coffee, and have a nice read of the paper or any other article, book or magazine that has piqued my interest. I also love to get outdoors and go for walks/hikes.
Hi, I’m Mathew, I'm 35 and I study Aerospace Engineering at RMIT in the city. In my spare time I like to play video games, watch suff, go to the beach, see a live gig, explore Melbourne or catch up with friends. I'm also dabbling in the world of health & fitness. I need to find a place somewhere north of the city. My course moves to RMIT's Bundoora campus next year and I am hoping to keep my commute reasonable. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon. Any other questions, please ask.
I've house shared for the better part of ten years so I feel this has left me with a pretty keen awareness of the general do's and dont's of sharing protocol. I hold a permanent job and am always reliable with rent, very respectful of common areas and really like to make a place feel like a home (... the occasional meal, drink, chat together, that type of thing). I'd describe myself as warm, with a dark, self-deprecating sense of humour, an extroverted introvert insofar as being quite outgoing and social, but also needing quite a bit of downtime to retreat and decompress. Food-wise, I generally fend for myself most days but love to cook for the house when the occasion calls ... I cook 100% vego but that's largely because I-just-fucking-love-vegetables / have sub-optimal meat cooking abilities. I work for the public service in multicultural affairs, though I'm just about to drop to 3 days a week to start studying my first undergrad degree at Melbourne Uni. I am very food orientated, enjoy cooking, and eating my way through Melbourne's cafes and restaurants, and I've also been learning how to swing dance for the last year. I've also recently jumped onto the podcast bandwagon (S Town, This American Life, Radiolab, et al ... ) Finally, I also have a cat named Brian: a devastatingly handsome, affable tabby. He will enthusiastically headbutt you to indicate affection. He lives outdoors by day and on my bed of an evening ... may or may not have a few memes made in his honour (provided upon request).
self-professed nerd and lover of all things electronics. I'm in the final semester of my Masters at uni and working part time as an Engineer.I could go on about my many fascinating qualities but here's the important bit, I'm a quite guy and mostly keep to myself,I clean up after using common areas and like to keep things tidy and most importantly I pay my bills on time. Contact me if you are interested. Live long and prosper :)
Alex here. I'm writing my PhD in international relations and tutoring undergrads at Uni of Melbourne. I am from the UK/ NZ and have lived in Australia for 2 years. I've just returned to Melbourne from a big overseas research trip, and am looking for a long-term place to call home. Something 6 months+ in a Melbourne inner-city suburb is ideal. I'd like to be able to walk or bike ride to the university campus within 20-30 minutes. A bit about me: I like films/ cinema outings, reading, learning Arabic, hiking, camping, wine, beer, cheese... I enjoy conversations about politics/ IR, sociology, psychology, religion, science, films, books - most things, really! My schedule is kind of ridiculous - I work a lot - so I'm sadly not the best fit if you are wanting to create a super social house, but can still commit to 2-3 evenings a week for housie activities. I'd be happiest living with like-minded people who are politically progressive, working, and 25 years+. Bonus if you would be up for the ocassional cinema/gig/comedy outing or going hiking together! I'd be extremely happy to live with a dog. Admin-y things: I'm a non-smoker, financially secure, good with kids, very dog friendly but allergic to cats. I own bedroom furniture already, but I can sell it if absolutely necessary. I also travel interstate and overseas fairly regularly.
I am looking for a private , furnished, decent and modern property preferably en-suited with bathroom and kitchen . I am IT Professional , non-smoker , super clean and have no pet .
Hai! I work full time Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm, and absolutely adore my job. After work I'm at gym until about 4am, then home to sleep. When I'm home I'm tidy, quiet and pretty low key. My personality is bubbly, happy go lucky, but I'm not a party person by any means. I'm looking to find a place asap and would like rent to include either bills or own bathroom. I'd also like the house to be pretty modern. In regards to location.... I'd like to be pretty close to Brunswick or at least near the eastern freeway. Preferably not any further out than Doncaster though. I've lived with guys and girls, so I'm pretty crusiey with who I live with. Just all about good vibes and a positive living space. :) :)
Hi there, I'm Laura, I've just moved to Melbourne from Hobart. I'm a nurse and will be working part time fully rotational shift work. I am neat and tidy to live with, happy for some housemate hangs or to do my own thing. I love to travel and love going to music festivals and gigs. Always keen to check out a new brunch spot. Looking for a room around the Northcote or Clifton Hill area.

I'm a friendly, clean and tidy guy with a love of technology and digital arts. I graduated from Swinburne last year and have an interest and skills in digital media design. I have a new full-time job in Fitzroy and need to quickly find somewhere to live. If I end up living with you, you'll normally find me happily working away at my computer, watching a movie, or going out for a walk.
My name is Ashleigh. I'm 24 years old and recently moved back to Queensland after living in the UK for three years. I'm an easy going, beer drinking, Bowie listening type of gal. I'm always down for a chat or a few beers. The two go hand in hand really. I am keen to move down to Melbourne and find a job asap (moving back to mums isn't all it's cracked up to be). I'm basically just looking for a room for three or four months until I can find a job asap and my pal moves over from England in September/October. Thanks! Ash
I'm a Zimbabwean guy who just moved to Melbourne to start work with NAB. Looking for a private room preferably with my own bathroom in a house or flat with no more than 3 people. I'm a bit of a clean freak. Listed a few areas I want to stay but anywhere really close to the CBD, like no more than 30 minutes train ride to Southern Cross. I don't have a car so somewhere within reasonable walking distance to the train station will suit. Maximum I can afford to pay is $350 weekly for rent and all bills including internet. Can only afford to pay no more than two weeks bond. Not into pets so looking only at places without pets. I do not smoke, drink occasionally but I'm studying as well so won't have too much time to drink. I am easy to get along with but usually keep to myself. Length of stay will be about 4 months but might extend depending on work circumstances. Need a furnished bedroom. Study desk would be great if available. I am very clean and tidy. Get in touch soon if you have a room that suits me.
Very easy going housemate, respectful but socialable. Clean but not OCD, enjoy living within a beautiful space that feels like a home. Wine, florals and greenery a given when living with me as well as above average banter!
(Urgently hoping to inspect this weekend 21st - 25th while i'm in Melbourne.) I'm about to move back to Melbourne after 6 Months in Sydney for work... I'm 33 and work full time as a project manager and valuer for an auction business. My background is in the art n antiques industry so naturally i'm into art, design, history, music and such. I'm very relaxed, considerate and neat housemate - I suppose everyone says that, but its true! I'm low key during the week but am always up for a chat.Ideally i'm looking to live with like minded people who enjoy gigs, arts, music, cooking and most importantly are just nice and easy going. I'm hoping to come and meet people next week (19th - 25th July) while i'm in Melbourne. My lease in Sydney ends very early august, so hoping to move around to my new place around that time. Please let me know if you think i'd be a good fit, happy to answer any questions you may have. Hope to hear from you. Cheers Mike
My name is Max Bittisnich, I'm 23 years old and i work as a casual visitor services officer at ACMI in Fed square. Four years ago i moved here from Canberra then completed a music degree in singing at Melbourne Polytechnic and a year long course in Foundations of film/tv at VCA. Currently doing a lot of writing for my musical ambitions so I'm looking for a largish room preferably with other arty types. I love films, games, music, spontaneous nature adventures and most recently books! I also find cleaning relaxing and necessary for a happy house!
I'm a very friendly person! Always looking for new friends. I'm really into music and sports.. (Piano, ukulele, melodica, guitar, table tennis, badminton, basketball, swimming) Right now I'm pursuing masters degree in information technology from RMIT and looking for some interesting flat mates 😁
Hey, I'm Ashley and I'm 23 years old, I work full time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm for an insurance company in Southbank. I am originally from the Gold Coast, been living in Melbourne for the past 7 months. I have the qualities that would make me an ideal housemate as I'm quite familiar with living in share houses with multiple people. I am looking for some down to earth, open minded roommates who I can share a drink and chat with at the end of the day. Talk soon!
Hey there! My name is Sebastian. I am a well travelled, easy going and friendly 28 year old. I have been living in Melbourne for around 5 years, playing in bands, doing some study (2 cert 4's in English teaching and vocational training and 1 year of a bachelor degree) and currently working in hospitality as a cook/allrounder at a Mexican restaurant. I have a strong connection with and love for Latin America, the Spanish language and travel in general. I am also very interested in consciousness, mindfulness and working towards being present. I love all things music, conspiracy theory and anything engaging and thought provoking. I have lived in many sharehouses and am well house trained. I love to cook, have a good chat, hang out and share a few drinks or a cheeky splif but also need and respect the need for downtime. Having lived in several sharehouses and worked in the hospitality industry i am great at cleaning up as i go, always do my fair share of house cleaning and am reliable and always pay bills on time. Although not compulsory.... I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO JOIN A MUSICAL HOUSEHOLD! I would love to be able to practise the drums and it would be even better if housemates would like to rock out and perhaps even start a band? If theres a no music rule or neighbours are not willing to put up with it, i will just take my drumming to a rehearsal studio as i do now. I am flexible on move in date but the sooner the better. My budget is around $180 -220 per week, i can't really stretch much further than that. I work in St kilda so access to good public transport is a must as i dont have a car at the moment. My ideal house would be in or in close proximity to Fitzroy as i love live music, especially psych rock and want to live relatively close to work. Definetly looking for a social house that has a homely feel. I wouldnt say im super extroverted but i enjoy connecting and getting to know my housemates and want a place where we all feel at ease to hang out or ask things, not rely on a group chat to sort out house issues etc. Looking forward to hearing from you Seb
Hey dudes! I'm looking for a private room in a share house preferably furnished. I'm currently looking around Northcote or near tram 86. I would love to move in mid to late August! A little about myself. I'm a fresh graduate from La Trobe Uni and currently doing freelance jobs for video production. I'm super clean and loves to cook. I respect other peoples privacy and expect others to do the same :) Totally in love with animals <3 Thanks so much guys! Hope to talk to you soon xx Nisha
22 years old and working full time, standard Mon-Fri / 9-5 hours. I'm fun and easy going, laidback and will always laugh at your jokes - as bad as they might be! I come house trained, so I know whats expected, always keep things clean and tidy (not OCD about it though) and will contribute to fair share of the household chores. I make a mean bed but can't say the same for my cooking skills, (although working on that) so happy to work with whatever kitchen/cooking arrangements are in place. Essentially looking for a house that feels like a home with housemates that can be more like friends, happy to hang out but can also respect space when needed. Love an occasional night out for a boogie, but also vibe a night in with popcorn and movies too.
