Hey there! I'm a clean and tidy, omnivorous, non-smoking, 28-year-old Geography student. I love surfing, climbing, playing guitar, reading, coffee, and the occasional swing dancing session. I spend most of my week either at University, climbing, or catching up with friends, and I go away camping every other weekend or so. Therefore when I'm home I'm generally just quietly recharging. I am looking for in share house that is clean, tidy, respectful, and relaxing to come home to. I like a chat over coffee or the occasional shared meal, but in general home is my happy place to recharge quietly. I like to have friends over occasionally for dinner/movies times, and I am not fazed by the occasional party or people coming and going. My strengths as a housemate are my ability to do dishes straight away; my positive outlook; and some great mum puns. If I sound like I could be a good fit for your share house feel free to shoot me a message :)
I’m a 30 year old PhD student and uni teacher from Mexico. Also working casual cooking BBQ. I believe I make a good housemate, pretty much just cleaning after myself and respecting other people’s space. I love to have a good conversation, share a beer, play weird board games and play the ukulele. I’m also kinda active, I like riding my bike and skateboarding (cruising only, not tricks :P) I love dogs and I’m sure your dog will love me in case you have one 🙂. I’m pretty good with pets. I’m just looking for a room in a share house with friendly people.
I am a 27 year old guy who works as a registered nurse. I'm returning to Melbourne after a trip around the Americas. I'm back on the 13th of December. I am looking for a room of my own in a shared house, either with a pre-existing or new lease. I would like a nice home base where I can wind down after a shift. I've spent a lot of time living in sharehouses in Melbourne and know my way around all the fun and games that comes with living with other folks. I like to think I keep things pretty neat and tidy. I can get involved if there's a garden. I like to cook with other housemates every now and again, if you're into that. I respect the space of my housemates but I'm down to hang out and grab a beer. When I'm not working I like to play video games, brew beer, pack the car and go camping or play music.
I am an extremely laid back person, lover of gin, and loves a good chat. I am very respectful of others and hoping to find a home with some great people! I will be studying Music Theatre full time and working part time next year. I have been living with my friends in Yarraville who are sadly moving to Sydney, so I need to find some new roomies! I would love to live in a home with people who respect privacy and quiet time, but who also bring a warm and cosy vibe with them! If you feel you fit the above criteria, I would looove to catch up for a coffee/wine and meet you!
Moving to Melbourne in Jan/Feb. I'm a Hairdresser w/ previous share house experience. Pretty easy to live with- happy to hang out and be social but also happy just doing my own thing! I love going to gigs, markets, making art & watching the footy (Carn Pies!). I’m hoping to have secured work before I move if not it then hopefully not soon after. Cheers :)
Hi, my name is Leigh and I am a British nurse relocating to Melbourne for work. I am flying from the UK to Melbourne to complete my registration with the Australian nursing board and aim to secure a room during my visit in January. In my spare time I'm interested in all sorts; running, reading, chilling in PJ's all day, socialising, nights out, movies, drinks, dining out, live music, shopping..! Will want to explore and sample all that Melbourne has to offer! As a flatmate I am clean and considerate, I like to have a chat over a cup of tea but will respect your personal space. I enjoy a regular clean of the house and believe everyone should contribute with household supplies. I like to cook but enjoy it more when others can eat with me! If we can cook together then even better! Looking for a private room, don't mind sharing a bathroom. Looking to secure the right room quickly and smoothly within the short window I am in Melbourne.
Couple looking to sub-lease a room, apartment, flat...etc from January-February (possibly longer) Both working full-time Monday Friday in the city. Week nights we are usually quiet and weekends tend to be out and about. Quiet, clean, respectful... all the things you want in housemates! Like to mingle and both enjoy a good chat, however also respectful of own space. Looking to keep within 165-210 per week, happy to help around the house. Furniture would be great, but can supply bed etc if needed. Looking to keep within the inner city suburbs, but also not to fussy on location. Would also be interested in short-long term renting of a granny flat. If you have something available, please feel free to message me for further details.
I’m a creative, I’m working as a stylist, I love my job and working on art ( currently working on children’s books) as well as attending art events in our lovely city! I lenjoy hanging out and watching movies and dont mine having a chat. I love to cook, I’m a vegan and im intrested in sustainable living💪🏻🌿 I’m tidy and I like to keep things clean. 💕 I’m looking for a place that is cozy for Melbourne winter nights. I’m pretty open, friendly and I do like respect and good communication :) i do enjoy my alone time when i need to recharge. I’m not a party animal, I much prefer to enjoy a cup of tea and rugging up on the couch sketching and sharing a movie. I’ve been in student accomodation , share houses and have always payed rent on time, so I am an experienced and considerate house mate 💪🏻🌿 I have a Crazy little serivce dog in training and love to be somewhere with a yard and our own space. Wesley is with me most of the time and comes with me were i go. so not to worry about looking after him. Non smoker Not 420 friendly.
Hey I'm Shernon. I currently have a house in Newham (Macedon Ranges) and I work in Derrimut. So i'm looking for a very small room to rent that is closer to my work that I would use on mostly weeknights. In terms of space I would just need enough for a camp style/single bed and maybe a small desk. As all my belongings except for a backpack would be kept at my house in Newham. A bit about myself. I'm 34 years old. I'm an Australian, I grew up in Perth but have lived in Melbourne for coming up 10 years. I'm a music lover that's into collecting records and going to gigs. I appreciate all things creative especially film, art and photography. All that stuff. I also love to travel, skateboard and I do enjoy a good beer and a good whisky. I feel i'm a chilled out, respectful and open person and would be happy to live in a house where everyone can feel comfortable and be themselves. I've been working in warehousing/logistics for the last 10 years as a storeman/forklift driver.
We're pretty quiet, but do enjoy talking to people and value open communication between housemates. I work full time and in my spare time like to journal and cook. I also ride my bicycle regularly. Ryan works at night shifts and has an alternate sleep schedule. In his spare time he'll game or do some climbing at a local gym. Neither of us like loud music, but are definitely down for evening soirées on the porch.
A bit about me, originally from Malaysia, have been in Australia for about 7 years now. First came here in 2011 to study, completed a law degree in 2015. I now run a small travel business. Most of my work are internet-based, so quite a lot of my work would be home-based, but I do have to go out for work quite a few times in a week. I also have a part-time job delivering newspaper in the morning, usually about 4-5 times a week. Might start doing it a bit less though, since I'm getting busier with the business. Ultimately I would want to go into teaching, so I am hoping to do my masters some time in the future. I can seem to be quite shy, but I am actually pretty outgoing at times. I feel like I am pretty easy to talk to and I am used to being in a large household, I grew up with 4 older brothers and a little sister, (with not many space I might add, so i'm very aware and concious about other people's comfort) and I went to a boarding school during my secondary school years. I have always been in a shared house after finishing school, so have heaps of experience living in a shared house setting. Very open to do most house work as I quite enjoy cleaning. Weirdly enough it can be quite therapeutic for me. Other things about me - I like travelling, (might be obvious since I have a travel business) so every now and then I'd try to go on some day trips or hiking trips, and whatnot. I have been going to gym quite regularly this year (hoping to keep that up) and usually quite open to trying new things! In terms of what I'm looking for, my main priority is just to look for a place that is clean, and mostly quiet in the evening or during nighttime. Apart from that, I really am not that fussy. Preferably would want to move in late January 2019, but very flexible to move in earlier too.
Study a double degree of Commerce/Agriculture Science at La Trobe Bundoora campus. I'm a neat and tidy person who takes pride in cleaning up after myself. Looking for a place to alternate between chilling out and having a bit of socialisation. I enjoy just about everything and have spent 2 years on student res so quite keen to socialise & be able to have my own space as well. Also enjoy bouldering, swimming and the gym when I can muster the energy required. Love having a few causal drinks in any location
Hi Guys, I have just moved to Melbourne from Brisbane and currently staying at my mate place. I am full time working finance professional and looking to move somewhere close to the city. I am friendly, hilarious, quite social and understand the need for downtime and privacy. I love cooking, very clean, spend my spare time hitting the Gym. I need to move to new place ASAP
I am mostly busy during the week, I work as an air-conditioning mechanic, but enjoy socialising with others. I have been doing a homestay in Brunswick East for 2 years and am now deciding to try a different part Melbourne. I keep everything neat as possible and always wash up after meals. Looking for a medium sized room.
I am moving from Brisbane to study a Masters at the University of Melbourne. The program is quite intense but I intend to work as a tutor or research assistant at the uni, as well as receive Centrelink payments. I have previously lived in a shared house with two other girls while working as a research assistant. I am very tidy and clean up after myself. I tend to keep to myself but definitely always up for a chat :) I am looking for a private room in a shared house with preferably all girl roommates (but I am flexible). I would also prefer a furnished room but, again, not required. Please let me know if you would like anymore details.
Hi my name is Esther, Im 28 and a youth worker. I love being outdoors, rock climbing, yoga and hiking. I spend a lot of time adventuring and camping and I love plants, gardening, socialising and food (and wine). I'm very laid back and relaxed but also very clean. Im looking for a inclusive and easy going house vibe, creativity is welcomed and privacy respected. Im moving from adelaide to do a masters degree in international development and would love to live with some like minded people :). I currently do have a small cat she's gorgeous and perfectly trained i promise but also may not be moving with me.
My name is Callum, I'm 24 years old, I work part time. I'm an actor, cosplayer and gamer in my free time. Tend to keep to myself for the most part, but am happy to socialize and have dinner. Pretty easy going. Looking to ideally team up with some people, probably max four (including me) to find a place where we can live together with ease. - Geez, that sounds cliche. Otherwise, I'm always up for renting a room somewhere. Can't really think of anything else to write, so that'll do.
Hey all! I'm 23, from bendigo and about to move down to the big city for full time work! I've done the whole share house thing before so know how it all works. I'm clean and tidy and can cook a mean meal. I read/Netflix/cycle in my spare time and love a good wine or two. Super chill and friendly
Hey potential housemates! I'm Isabelle. I'm 25 and am from the Central Coast, NSW. I'm a primary school teacher and have just accepted a position down in Melbourne starting in late January 2019. My boyfriend Ben (also 25) and I are making the move down to Melbourne in the New Year and are looking to move into a place anytime from New Years Day onwards. We are hoping to move into a respectful, fun and somewhat social, existing sharehouse in the one of the Northern Suburbs, preferably either Brunswick, Coburg, Moonee Ponds, Flemington, Essendon, Kensington, Fitzroy, Northcote or North Melb, as these are the shortest commute to work for both of us. Ben is a carpenter and stonemason who restores historic churches and heritage buildings in Sydney and across rural NSW. He's originally from the country, just outside the Blue Mountains, and is currently working as a Rope Access Technician spiderman-ing his way down Sydney's skyscrapers. Neither of us have lived in Melbourne before, and we are both very excited to experience all that the city has to offer! As we both work full time , we're fairly low key during the week. However on weekends we mostly like to go and see live music and a sports game, catch up with friends and family, go out for meals, movies, the occasional weekend away, go camping, indoor rockclimb, and explore the city! Ideally, we would love to move into a place for at least 6 months, sharing with another couple or 2-4 single housemates. We've both lived in various sharehouses before and are both very tidy and respectful/clean in all communal spaces. We are definitely looking to move into a fairly social house where eventually there is more of a living with friends than just housemates kinda vibe! In saying that, we are both also very independent/doing our own thing and appreciate a bit of downtime too. I also promise we are def not the kinda couple that make you feel super third-wheely! We would love to both chat further and pop round to meet you and your housemates and visit the room/place anytime in January! Thanks! :) :) Ben and Izzy
Hey! My name is Tuesdaii. I'm an Adelaide girl moving to Melbourne early next year to study Shoemaking at RMIT in Brunswick. I love yoga, coffee, plants, food & cooking, good conversation and real people. I am in search of a place to call home for the next year or so while I complete my course and work part time - I've lived in share houses for a few years now and would love to find a place that is both relaxed and considerate. I like to think I am a pretty chilled, open and down to earth person. I do my fair share around the house and am always enthusiastic about making houses feel more like home. I am known to come home with a bunch of new plants and to accidentally bake/make excess food to share! I am keen to find some likeminded people to share a home with. Ideally I would love to have a room to come to when I move over at the end of January and would be happy to make a trip to come and see the house and meet the people if it seems like it could be a fit/do a Skype Chat sometime ☺️
