I'm a social, 35 year old male. I get along with all nationalities. I work as a Barber so I can help you to keep looking stylish. I work on weekends so am not home a lot of the time. I'm looking for an unfurnished room and I also have lounge furniture if needed. I can't cook but i pay my rent on time. I love going to the gym, going out for a drink and I laugh a lot. My English needs a bit of work but i can communicate quite easily.
i'm a pretty chilled and easy going 23 year old bloke from the outer suburbs looking for somewhere closer to the city for work and leisure i have lived in share houses before overseas so i know about space and keeping the home clean and tidy. i also enjoy seeing live music, camping, climbing and hiking so some weekends will be spent out doing that or otherwise working. i'm also a non smoker but enjoys a social drink every now and again. i don't mind dogs or cats but i wont be bring any along. cheers
I work in Financial Services in the CBD. I've traveled extensively and continue to travel. I've lived in the UK and have traveled through Europe and Middle East. I also try to see different parts of Australia. I enjoy meeting people, experiencing different cultures and open to new experiences. I travel back to NZ regularly to catch up with family and friends. I'm active, go to the gym most days, I like to think I'm independent, self-sufficient but am happy to ask for directions if I need. I'm looking for short-term accommodation starting end of Oct/Dec (~4–6 weeks) potentially longer if it suits housemate and myself. In addition, I would prefer to stay with 1 person. I have furniture in storage, if possible I'll require a queen bed, drawers, double wardrobe and off-street parking. If I need to get furniture out I can. I'm clean and tidy as well as respectful people's space and privacy. In the weekends I'm usually out and about, happy to chat, relax or share a wine. Happy to discuss further with potential housemate.
Easy going commercial property manager, Melbourne born and bred currently living in Reservoir. Enjoy playing sports, catching up with friends, gym, reading and one or two other things.
I'm moving to Melbourne from good ol' Tas and need a humble abode. Working in Essendon, so would prefer suburbs pretty close to there. I'd reallllllly be keen on somewhere around $150 per week. About Me: - I'm 21 - Working in liquor, so can be your booze hook up - Love a party, also love binge watching X - Files in bed. - I love animals (if you have one it would be the best) - Lived in share houses since I was 18, so very house trained. I hate cooking without cleaning dishes either, so there's a plus. - Love music pretty much over anything, and have a tasty orange Tele you may be able to play. About the house: - I love my own space, so am looking for a private room, NOT A SHARED ROOM. - I love housemates that are non - judgemental, easy to get along with, and respectable of space. If you're up for a beer even better. - Space isn't much of an issue, but if it's furnished I'd be stoked. - LGBTQI+ friendly I'm arriving and looking for a room around the 5th of November, so if you think i'd be a good fit in your humble abode, please contact me!
Hi, My name is Natalie and I am 36 years youthful, but can be a grandma at times too. Looking for a long term and prefer furnished (but can be flexible) room in the Northern suburbs of the CBD and within a 15 min walk to train station. Ideally I would a like an inclusive of Rent & Utilities around the $300 mark. I am neat and tidy and will keep the place presentable, but I am not OCD or a fan of a strict cleaning routine. I am a 9-5 office worker and outside of work I try keep fit at the gym most nights and wine and dine to chilax others. Weekends are generally running around doing stuff or just socialising. I enjoy people's company and would like someone outgoing that is home a couple of nights of the week for chit chat, but there are times when peace and quiet is called for too. I am an animal lover so pets would not be a problem.
I'm a 18yrs old Japanese student who is intending to study commerce in UniMelb next year. I have been a homestay student in Adelaide for 2.5 years, so I'm a cooperative and independent person. People often give compliments to me saying I smile a lot:) I would like to find 1. a private room 2. in a female only house
New to Melbourne and still getting to know the place. Wanting to take up things like kitesurfing, spearfishing, parkour and judo. I'm a lover of the sea, music, outdoors and being indoors watching movies. Love seeing live bands but the days of clubbing and coming home 6am are over. Anyway, I moved for a change of scenery and a new start. Only been here a week and love it. Looking for like minded people to maybe even team up with and find a house. Preferably people with some balance and not looking to move in with party animals but not looking to move in with total squares either.
My name is Diego and I'm from Spain. I'm 36 and I decided to change my life one year ago to do what I like, cooking. So that is why I came to Australia for, currently studying and working as a Chef most part of my time. The only thing I'm missing since I'm here is a place to call home where to feel comfortable. Non smoker, I prefer a place with only one other tenant. If you need any other information feel free to ask. Regards.
Hi there I am looking to move close to Melbourne CBD for convenience..commuting to work. I am an easy-going personality.. introverted and would be comfortable with someone who is open-minded and respectful. I am pretty much familiar with shared space etiquette. Loves clean environment and a non-smoker, non-drinker and knows bit of cooking as well. ;).
Hey roomie roomers, I think that I can be classified as sociable, gregarious, mostly positive person who is also a vegetarian (but I really won’t try to convert you, at least until I know you REALLY REALLY well). I am also big reader and love alone time and although I also wear glasses, don't really identify as a nerd. I totally respect nerds though and I believe in equality of treatment for nerds. Aside from that, when I’m not being alone I love being around positive, easy going, sociable human beings. I’m moving from Sydney to complete my studies in alternative medicine and social studies, while working as a massage therapist. I am so totes excited to embrace share house living again and hoping for another opportunity to be a part of a friendly and happy household here too! I am super aware of what would be expected of me as a future roommate and am looking for some others who will occasionally want to do some hanging out; i.e having a few bevies, watching shit (reality dating shows) TV, trading banter and being awesome. I love love love animals and will be leaving behind my best four legged friend, so anyone loves animals, you are aiiight by me Can’t wait to meet you future roomies
I am a Banking consultant at ANZ Bank, so I am very reliable with my rent and finances. I'm a very social person who loves having a good chat and developing friendships with my housemates. I am a very clean person who has no problem helping out around the house to keep clean and orderly. As for my hobbies I love basketball, public speaking and photography. Looking forward to having chats with you.
I just moved back to Melbourne from overseas. I'm looking to live with one or two other people that are interested in a clean house. I'm super respectful, positive and laid back. I'd love to live with people I can become friends with rather than just co-existing in the same place. I love to cook and eat, have a laugh over some wine and am always up for a chat. Whilst I'm pretty social, I also enjoy doing my own thing. I work full time but with odd hours so usually not home most weeknights. In my spare time I'm usually exercising, visiting friends, enjoying eating everything Melbourne has to offer, looking after my niece or binge watching netflix! Hopefully get to meet some cool new housemates soon!
I'm a Danish student looking for a short-term home (approx. 2-3 months) to move into as soon as possible. I will be spending my time in Melbourne doing field research on the medical and mental health conditions of queer young people. I'm studying medical anthropology and glocal ethnography, and my fieldwork project will be part of my master's thesis. I work two jobs besides my studies back home, and as a Danish student I receive my monthly salary from uni (not messing with you) - rent will be paid on time! I'm a mid-20s, pet loving, coffee addict and vegetarian. I like my food organic, my feet bare, and the sunlight in my hair. I'm a sucker for poetry and believe things make more sense when they rhyme.. they usually don't. I'm also quite sensitive, creative, fairly intelligent, fascinated with people, very open-minded, completely house-trained, and used to living with other people.
Hi! My name is Daniel, I'm a 28 year old Master of Journalism student currently living in West Footscray but looking to move somewhere else. I think I'm good to live with because I'm friendly, considerate, polite person who is clean, organised and considerate of other people's space. I'm a bit of a politics junkee and enjoy watching movies, tv, reading, doing something out with my friends like seeing a movie or eating out, or just hanging out with my friends at home playing mario kart or whatever. If I sound like the hippest, raddest housemate you've never yet met, then great! If not, good luck in your housemate hunting?
Hi. I'm Indigo. I am from Victoria originally, but moved to Canberra for my Law Degree. I am hoping to move back to Melbourne in November for Grad opportunities. I work full time and also will be studying full time. I'm looking for a smaller place (maybe just 2 or 3 people in total). I am very flexible and can come with or without household items - as I have my own apartment which I've furnished etc. Hopefully I am looking for something long term to make home, but happy to take something short term if needed. Ideally, I would like a private bathroom, but that's not a huge issue. I am flexible in the cost of rent, as I am happy to spend more to be comfortable. I love dogs, but am very allergic to cats.
Hi there! I'm Jillian and I am from Texas! I recently graduated from uni with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Spanish and I'm taking a gap year and applying to Master's programs for next August. I enjoy gardening, cooking, baking (fruit) pies, biking, exploring, coffee, beer, music, going to shows, socializing, staying in, social justice, etc. I have lots of experience working on events, catering, working in restaurants, working in social service agencies, everything really. I have friends in the area that I met through previous travels and I look forward to meeting more people! I've been in Melbourne since September, living and working in Brunswick. I would love to stay in the area if possible but I am open to other nearby suburbs. I'm looking for a place beginning mid-December or early January. I look forward to hearing from you!!!
***UPDATE***. Couple accommodation. Im 24, easy going who cleans up after herself. Love travel, fashion and catching up with family. My fiancée is 24 in the building industry. We're not really into partying as we work long days but rather good food, good wine and great conversation.
Never have I ever missed paying rent or bills in my life and I’m usually the “cleaner” in most places I’ve lived in. I’m don’t really drink, I quit smoking a year ago and strictly no drugs. I don’t play loud music and I have no friends so I won’t be throwing parties (joking about no friends, not joking about parties). I have a car and would really appreciate off street parking if available. My hobbies and interests include cycling on my bicycle, reading words in books, googling acronyms the young’uns are inventing and pretending I already knew them ages ago, damaging my frail body riding my skateboard, fixing things that are not fixed, surfing the web, saving and rescuing things from landfill, being cool and trendy, making jokes that are not funny. Please don’t hmu if you’re a room hermit that doesn’t contribute to household chores and/or slams doors. Please hmu if you are friendly, mature, open minded, responsible, courteous, respectful, polite and considerate. <3
Hi. My name is Joe. Currently working part time. Looking for a short term stay. Quiet guy who loves to get up early. Enjoy walks and runs and the great outdoors. Don't mind having a chat about sport. If your looking for that quiet person, I'm your man. Love to hear fom you.
Hi future flatmates, I am on the hunt for a comfortable, clean and welcoming place to call home for myself and two gorgeous cats. I work full time in Retail Management, generally 9 to 5, with occasional weekend work. Outside of work I live an active lifestyle, enjoying hiking, climbing, biking, photography and catching live music. My cats are both rescues and indoor only. One has three legs, although this poses no issues. They are placid, lazy and make for great company. They generally keep to me or themselves. Around the home I am active in contributing to the smooth running of a shared household. I am respectful of space and privacy, however enjoy the coming together of a household for the occasional shared meal, drink and a laugh. I am looking for flatmates with a similar lifestyles and attitudes towards share housing; those who are done with party house living. If this sounds like you; let's chat. Cheers, Alana
Hey guys, Naj here! I'm a 31yo who has called Brisbane my home for the last 14 years, and I have finally made it down to the cooler city, for work and to be closer to my mum and sis, who moved here a few years back! So I start working for the Victorian Government next week, and am currently staying at my mums until I find the perfect sharehouse home. I've been living in sharehouses in my beautiful West End in Brisbane for the last 7-8 years so I am very house trained. I am very clean, and consider hygiene, doing your chores and washing up after yourselves to be a number one rule of being a cool housemate. I love to chat and socialise with my housemates but I also like my own time and respect your need for some down and alone time too. I love to have good beer and wine and indulge in cooking adventures. I love to share as well and believe the more communal the house is, the more it is a home. As far as what I'm into; I love film, hiking, camping, my yoga practice and riding my bikes. Not in lycra. Just to commute and to be environmentally conscious. I'm also interested in social justice causes and trying to make our world a kinder and sustainable place to live in. (I used to have dreadlocks and did a bit of travel in my mid 20's - totally not a cliché) I also love going to gigs, having a boogie, going to festivals and plays. The abundance of all things art and creative is another reason why Melbourne has drawn me in. I also love dogs and prefer playing records to having the tv on. (and long walks on the beach. heh) I've visited this town many times over the years and I have a few friends scattered around. But I'm looking forward to joining a family sharehouse home where I can put some roots down for awhile and explore this city with local knowledge and insights and characters. That's me in a blurb form, but I would love to meet you all face to face and have a chat in person and see if we fit, and get along, and share the same values. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm very need and tidy, generally keep to myself. I'm actually not home a lot, but I'm just looking for a new corner to call my own and spend a couple of nights a week there. When I am home I love to cook. I enjoy painting, sewing, playing music etc.
