My situation is that i have to move out from my current place within approx. 3wks (30Oct)because the landlord is changing to a real-estate agreement and therefore everyone has to be out! i am a mature 38yr, I work in the community health sector, and am a quiet friendly /social person and also a clean and relatively tidy person(not over the top) and respect peoples space. I also have a small old and friendly dog.
My names James... Or Jimmy! I'm 31 yrs old, work full time in the transport industry- Most days i spend 10-12hrs driving a truck... Most mornings I'm leaving home in the dark, then return whilst the sun goes down 🌥 My family/friends would describe me as pretty easy going, down to earth guy with a great sense of humour. In my spare time i like to get out & catch up with friends, otherwise I'll happily lay low at home. Enjoy having the occasional drink, although I'm hardly ever drunk 🍺 I have a 4yr old Maltese Shih-Tzu that shadows me wherever I go, so currently on the search for someone who's easy to live with, also pet friendly 😎 She loves playing with other dogs (or neighbouring cats), also well trained inside & out. I'd prefer to houseshare with a female, as they've always seemed more clean & tidy, which helps me maintain a good lifestyle.
I am a Patient Transport Officer (non-emergency Ambulance Officer) and am seeking 'granny flat' accommodation. I moved down from Queensland 1 year ago and have been sharing with others up until now. A 57 yo divorced 'gentleman' who has been a home owner in the past and is clean living, quiet and respectful. Dogs seem to love me too as they are true judges of character ;) I also require the Internet.
Hey everyone, my name's Amber. Turned 30 this year and looking for a massive lifestyle and inspirational change - want to get away from Sydney as soon as possible and relocate to Melbourne. A bit of background on me - I've been a multi disciplinary Artist since I was a child, with a main focus on Acting, Singing and Musicianship. Completed my tertiary education in Acting and I'm currently doing distance study in Electronic Sound Production and Indigenous Studies, to help expand my mind and teach me new skills. I love to read and learn, have solid conversations and a good laugh, share knowledge - books and artworks make up 70% of my earthly goods! A few of my interests include Reading, Playing Guitar, Socializing with friends on the weekend, Writing, Dancing, Acting, Cooking, Travel, Theatre, Music Production and Songwriting, Singing, Yoga and Martial Arts, Gaming (Xbox 360 - I have one to bring to the house and a load of games, if that's your thing too), binge watching Netflix or getting into some hardcore SBS on demand / ABC iview when I have free time, Photography and Art of all forms. Social justice, human/civil rights and equality are vital concepts to me. By no means a definitive list, but it gives you a bit of an idea. I'm friendly, respectful, fun, keep things in the house clean and am a weird balance of someone who likes to say hi and be social round the house when it suits people, but can also respect your space/privacy and like to enjoy my own when I'm feeling hermity too - hopefully you won't be the type to take it personally if i need some time out to myself. Not a precious princess about things and am really adverse to passive aggressive types - if you're not the sort of person that can just have a calm, upfront chat and nip it in the bud if I accidentally do anything to annoy you, then we probably won't enjoy living together. I'm a smoker, although more than happy to go outside if you're not, as this is most people's preference, I'm not obnoxious about it and respect people's needs. Constantly burning fragrant oils / candles and incense anyway and am very conscious of mutual space, nothing like coming home to a house that feels welcoming and smells divine. Not a huge party animal, though I do enjoy occasionally having people round sometimes - during the week I'm pretty chill (although, also not boring hey - totally not adverse to cracking some wine or beers while cooking / having a friend round when the mood strikes - I'm a pretty mean cook, double plus bonus!). Weekends are always easier for getting out and about or catching up with people. If this sounds like someone you wouldn't mind sharing space with, let me know. Thanks in advance mates, look forward to meeting some like minds - keen for a long-term place I can make a home, with cool, fuss-free housemate/s who like the sound of my listing. Looking to make the move ASAP soon as I find something. Let me know if you have any questions. Peace and Thanks, Amber
I'm looking for a Place to call Home. I work as a support worker, caring for people with a disibility & encouraging them to engage in meaningful activities. During my down time I enjoy, Tunisian Crochet, art, soul collage and Yoga/ meditation. Weekends include catching up with friends and family, coffee, movies, dinner, & shows. I Have lived in a few different share houses and really value honest constructive communication, sharing the cleaning, and paying utilities & rent on time. I'm always up for a chat over a cuppa, however I also recognise that there are times when people need uninterrupted chill out time. I'm happy to organise my own food, as there are a few things I'm not able to eat. While I do enjoy the occasional vegetarian meal, I do eat meat so I need a housemate who is ok with the smell of cooking meat. I have no pets & are more than happy to share the house with a dog. No cats (I'm allergic)
Looking for a nice place with like-minded people. Originally from country Victoria. I’m early 30s just left a video production management role with Fox FM to work with a US production company, I’m easy going and get along with everyone.
Currently studying at rmit in the city. I study justice and soon look to be working as a correctional officer. I Work 32 hours a week at Brunswick Woolworthes, in the produce department. So I bring with me a nice 5% off when shopping at woolies ☹️. I'm a very neat and tidy person, so I will be keeping all common areas I use vey tidy.I enjoy cooking so more then happy to get involved in cooking a few nights a week. I also play soccer and enjoy going down to the pitch for a kick or a run. I am a huge dog person and get along with pets very well. I'm a non smoker. Finally I bring with me a Xbox :0
I am a Colombian journalist, 29 years old. I came to Melbourne to improve my English, so I am studying at Impact English College part time and working part time. About me: I am a tidy and clean person. I am sociable, I like to spend time with people, talking and drinking from time to time, but I also enjoy being alone studying, reading or just listening to music. I am easy going. I love football and riding a bike.
I’m Alice. 28. I work full time in textiles and run a fashion business on the side. Into yoga, meditation, clothing, crystals, music and good food. I love to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Also have a Netflix account and love trashy tv. Looking for a room in an existing share house or preferably looking for one or two peeps to sign a new lease with, and create our own new amazing home together. I have a cat, Luna. He is super cute and enjoys food, meowing at his mum, cuddles with anyone and everyone! Loves the outdoors, loves a good nap and tummy rub. I have plenty of furniture so you would only need enough stuff for your bedroom, but am happy to get rid of stuff if you have something better :) Looking for someone reliable, pays bills on time, does their fair share of the cleaning, and wants to be mates with their new housemates while also enjoying doing their own thing. Feel free to message if you have any questions!
I am fairly quiet and don't like encroaching on other people's space. Although I'm currently unemployed, I will be looking for a job once I relocate (there aren't any job opportunities where I currently live). I'm a bit of a nerd and have a passion for science, the environment, and art. Some of my hobbies are photography, painting, and guerilla floristry. I also really enjoy baking cakes, biscuits, and slices (and can make a mean single serve chocolate souffle). I have been living in a tiny country town with few services or resources for the past few years, so am really looking forward to moving out as soon as I can. I don't drive, so would prefer to live somewhere close to public transport. My ideal home would have a bedroom big enough to fit my vintage queen sized Burgess headboard + bedside tables in, and to have a bathroom with an actual bath in it (hip baths don't count!). I haven't been able to own any pets besides my cockatiel where I've been living, and would dearly love to get another cat to keep me company.
Hello everybody! I'm Nick, I'm a musical performer and singer. At the moment I'm working in a comedy show in Melbourne and sometimes in Sydney. I need a share accomodation or private as well and hope to find great flatmates. Thank you in advance guys!
Hi everyone, I am interested in a team up house or an already established place preferably in Essendon or Niddrie, otherwise would be willing to look more towards Coburg/Brunswick areas for around $700-$800 per calendar month, hopefully not too far away from public transport (59 or 58 trams preferably). I would like a place where everyone is equally welcome as well as responsible meaning everyone is on the lease not just one person. I am looking to move around the end of November or start of December as my lease is up on the 9th of December. I am looking for a place with a decent sized bedroom (hopefully a master with ensuite if possible but not a deal breaker!) As well as a car spot or free street parking. A house with a bit of space would be great so we would not be tripping over each other all the time. I have a fridge and a washing machine as well as pots and pans for the kitchen to add to a house as well as all my own bedroom needs. I work full time Monday - Friday anywhere between 6:30am-6:30pm with one RDO a month. I would like a house that is happy to socialise with the occasional meal (I'm not the best cook but I try) but also happy to respect each other's privacy. There are weeks that I am barely home except to sleep as I like to catch up with friends and family when I can but I also have weekends where I prefer to just stay home with my blanket and STAN. I would like to be able to invite family and friends over for a few drinks or a movie every now and then and am happy for you to do the same. Apart from catching up with family I like to go to the movies ( if you can have a conversation about Harry Potter or Dr Who that's a plus!) , gigs, road trips back to my hometown Ballarat and games nights. I also like to go out with friends for dinner and drinks etc. Please message if you would like to know more or meet up to have a chat about a property etc. Non smokers welcome Thanks
Hello! I'm Jol, a 24yo Graphic Designer working full time at a Digital Marketing Agency. I love all things creative and in my spare time I cook, visit markets, Netflix binge and often working on various photography projects. I am well house trained, clean, quiet yet sociable and always conscious of communal areas. All in all I'm looking for not just a shared house, but a home, and ready to move within 2 weeks of notice. Somewhere clean, quiet, safe and with like minded people. Possibly a home that is environmentally conscious, and maybe with a nice herb and veggie garden to tend to - though not essential. Bad puns guaranteed!
Hi, I have recently moved to Melbourne after living in Singapore for past 11 years. I am looking for a short term accommodation (starting from 1st October). I am very easy going, clean and organised person. I have lived in shared flats/properties for past 7 years (Singapore) so fully aware of the shared space dynamics & responsibilities. I enjoy photography, reading, and travel. I also like to play board and card games with friends/flatmates.
I'm, fairly laid back, like watching movies/tv shows, sometimes play ps4. Love music and go to live events regularly, would love if I could bring my chocolate labradoodle, but not a deal breaker (he doesn't shed fur or smell). I work full-time and ride a motorbike so parking's not really an issue. Oh I also have a tonne of really good board games :)
Hi there, My name is Mitch, I am 22 and just made the move to Melbourne from Brisbane for work. I work full time in the city in a job I really enjoy. I am not a big partier but do enjoy having a drink on the weekends and the occasional night out, especially now that I live in Melbourne. During the week I like to keep it pretty low key with maybe the occasional dinner out or house dinner with everyone I live with. I have lived in a share house before so I definitely understand the importance of paying rent and bills on time, as well as being open, honest and approachable. Privacy is also always important and is something I always give my house mates, and something I expect in return as well. My interests range from traveling, socialising, watching Netflix/documentaries all the way to listening to peoples stories and life experiences. I am looking for some cool people to live with within Melbourne City or the surrounding inner city suburbs. As I sold almost everything I own in order to move, I am looking for a furnished room. Send me a message if you think I would be a good fit to your home :)
I work full time in management, I'm very easy going, respectful & clean. I tend to live a fairly quiet life most of the time. I enjoy yoga and cooking. (Specializing in middle eastern cuisine.)
Hi I'm Kash, 30 and from London on a working holiday visa. I'm very outgoing and friendly and love being social, but at the same time mature enough to understand the need for privacy and space. I always clean up after myself and am respectful of others. I'm in Australia for up to a year and looking to make memories, and that definitely starts with making cool friends with the people I'll be living with. I'll try and charm you with my British wit and also have a knack for reciting different movie dialogues. That could definitely be entertaining after a long day at work over a take out (BTW that's not a real tattoo on my face. I'm not that gangsta).
HEY YOU! Lovely human/s with a spare room/s in your house! Are you: - A houseproud person who loves to create a beautiful, clean, tranquil living space? - Someone who has their own life and likes their own space, but also likes a bit of a cosy family vibe at home, not just living in your bedroom but having occasional chats in th kitchen or over cups of tea or an occasional shared meal? - Someone who likes to have an occasional dinner party/backyard BBQ, but not a big partier/drinker? - Queer-friendly, left-leaning, and friendly? - Non-smoker? (or outside smoker only, but preferably totally non-smoking) Do you: - Love and/or make music and/or art? - Love houseplants maybe a little bit too much? - Not watch TV/not have a TV/watch some Netflix shows on occasion but mostly in your own room? I'm looking for a new home. I'm a little heartbroken right now as 3 months ago I moved into the perfect space, but then the landlord decided they wanted to make more money from it and kicked us out to get a family in :'( Moving into a pre-established home would be preferable, but I'm also open to starting a new house with cool peeps. The issue is that I want somewhere ASAP (Just have to give 2 weeks notice at my current place, but have to be out by Nov 23rd - preferably much sooner as the nearest train station is going to be closed from Oct 6th and that's gonna make life very difficult!!) as I am going to be very busy in late Sept/early Oct and I don't have a lot of time for househunting! At least one female/nb housemate preferred, but could be convinced for the right dude. I'd like to live with 2 people ideally, open to sharing with 1 or 3 but probably not more than that. ME: - 28yo female musician/artist/voice coach. Friendly, silly, queer, sings a lot and sometimes loud but mostly well, and only in reasonable hours/when you aren't home. - I like to be really clean & tidy and make a beautiful home full of art and plants and pretty colours. - Non-smoker. Not much of a drinker. Not vegetarian but not eating a lot of meat at home. - I am really busy and keep to myself a lot working on my music etc, but I lived in a house previously with dudes who just lived in their rooms and I hated it... I love living with people who are down for chats and cosiness and laughs together when our schedules line up. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN A HOUSE: - Preferably an actual house, not an apartment. - Sunshine! - Close or otherwise convenient to grocery stores (I don't have a car, only bicycle/motorbike/PT) - OSP for my small motorbike (can just be front yard or small side path) - Either quite cheap rent (between $500-800/month) for just a bedroom, OR... - Open to paying $800-$1000/month for somewhere that has an extra sunroom/study/office space from which I could teach voice students (or a very large bedroom which I could split with a divider to make into a semi-professional space.) - I am also currently renting a studio in Brunswick which I teach from 2-3 days a week. If my new home is around $500 - 700, I could afford to just teach from the studio 4-5 days a week. If it's $700-800, I'd wnna teach from home a couple days a week (so I could get someone in to share the costs of the studio)... if it's $800+ I'd want to be teaching exclusively from home as I wouldn't be able to also afford the studio. If I sound like a good match for your home and vice versa, please get in touch!
I'm a 29 year old videographer and video editor with a passion for music, food, gardening and good movies. I work at a social research call centre part time in addition to my video work, so I feel as though I spend a reasonably equal amount of time both in and out of the house. I also travel a bit for work, once every few months, either to country Victoria or out to remote Aboriginal communities where I run video workshops with children. I'm partial to a good cup of tea (I make really good chai) and a book, and I love a good selection of tunes whilst around the house. I play futsal (indoor soccer) twice a week and like keeping as healthy as I can manage :) I do enjoy sharing a bottle of wine and I like having friends around every so often for a meal and catch-ups. I come with furniture for the house (shelves, futon daybed etc) if necessary (including white goods) but I can just as easily get rid of them if there’s no space. I also have many houseplants and troughs with herbs, greens and other living plant life that I am more than happy to share!
