Seeking a furnished room, bills and internet included in rent. I recently moved back to Melbourne after a few years in Brisbane. I commence full-time on 18 December and hope to study counselling part-time in 2018. I am generally quiet, easygoing and respectful of others' space. I am a bit of a "neat-freak" so am more than happy to do my share of cleaning, etc. I don't mind a drink, enjoy a chat, cooking, eating out, listening to people's stories, playing the guitar, music generally, reading and am a keen runner.
I’ve just come back from traveling in Europe and need to be adopted into a share house for my forever home 🙂 I’m looking for a room north side, I want to be somewhere around north Fitzroy, east Brunswick, west northcote kind of area. Price and moving dates are flexible for the right place/people I love the eating so I get really into cooking, keen for any kind of food share or dinner party pot luck arrangements sometimes or all the times. I’m a fan of board games drinking nights, relaxed mood lighting chill music evening fun times. I have a disability (CFS) so I spend most of my time at home, mostly resting quietly in my room, happy to keep to myself but always keen to listen to my housemates chat/gossip/brag/complain after their long work day when using shared spaces but also perfectly at home keeping to myself/out of peoples faces. I’m wanting somewhere with mature people as far as sex positive, queer friendly, kink friendly and tolerant in all the right places just as I am. I’m fairly clean and tidy in shared spaces, as I’m normally home I always have time to clean up before it’s in anyone else way. I’ve got a steady income and a bond and all the good stuff covered, besides my consistent pension my family would guarantee my bills got paid on time should I say, blow all my money on buying a boat. Also a family seized washing machine and a devilishly comfortable couch, a bunch of decent kitchenware can come with me. If I sound alright, you’re looking for a new housemate, know someone who is or really have anything for me feel free to comment/tag/PM me. Thanks :)

Hi! I am a 20+ female from Malaysia and have been residing in Australia for many years, currently pursuing a Master degree in Landscape Architecture and will be working and studying in Melbourne starting next year. From my past 6 times of house sharing experience, and several times of sharing rooms at hostels, I have a reputation of being a clean, tidy, and responsible house/roommate. I speak 4 languages, namely English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay and Spanish; and I am an avid traveler. I have just done a big backpack round tour in Europe, had traveled to Japan, and did work and study in China, Ireland and Spain. I consider myself to be an open-minded and mature person, also should be fun to be with as told by my friends. I enjoy cooking and baking, which I don't mind sharing the food with my future flatmates. I am also into arts and design, photography, books, linguistic, culture and history, plants, fitness and DIY. Happy with locations within an hour public transport time distance from city center, even if not listed in my "Preferred location" section below. Please drop me a message if you think I sound like a friend-to-have / someone who should be living at your flat right now! I don't mind teaming up with like-minded people to rent a property too.
Hey hey! I'm a Perth kid moving to Melbourne late Jan to early Feb to start my masters at the University of Melbourne. I'm looking for a laid back flat share - I'm always down for cooking together, sharing a bottle of wine (gin also more than welcome), exploring the city (I've never been to Melbourne before) and commiserating about living off too little sleep and too much caffeine. That being said, if you also love your alone times, don't stress as I'm the same there too :) I speak basic Mandarin and French. Future flatmates need to understand that I will probably whinge a lot about how much I miss my dog :(
I'm Sophie and i'm originally from Adelaide but moving to Melbourne to start studying fashion design at RMIT. I love travelling and meeting new people and am always up for a glass of wine and a chat. I've lived in both Berlin and London so have experience living in a variety of different share houses. I'm very easy going and relaxed but will also respect everyones space.
Hey! My name is Kaz, currently living in Sydney but ready to jump ship & move down to Melbourne! I'll be starting uni full-time at RMIT in February, so am looking for a nice sharehouse to move into in January/February (flexible with dates). I work from home currently so I'll be employed when I move down :) I'm a leftie, LGBT-friendly, non-smoker, clean & tidy, & love to have introvert time but also to hang out with housemates & meet new people in Melbourne. I'll have a busy schedule & I'm a light sleeper so I'm looking for a quieter household with people my age, in a quiet neighbourhood :) I love cats so if you have a cat that's amazing! I can also come with household furniture if needed (dining table, couches etc). I prefer to message on here (not texting), so let me know if you're keen to meet up!
Hello there! I am Manish Kumar Patel, age 26 years and I am about to start as a PhD student at The University of Melbourne. I am an Engineer by passion and easy going man. I do not interfere with other's private life and wish to get the same reciprocation from the mate. I did my masters from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT), Mumbai, India. I am a Hindu by practice and faith. I prefer Veg cuisine but do not have any issue with non-veg. I do not smoke and drink. I prefer to go to running during evening hours daily, sporty by nature. I would also like to explore the nature and nearby places. Positively looking forward to engaging with new friends there. No issue in sharing the room with other students. I prefer accommodation with food arrangements.
Hi there, I'm Zoe! I currently study a masters at the University of Melbourne and work part time as a music teacher/tutor/research assistant. I'm a pretty easygoing housemate and well house-trained. I don't like to bring work/study home with me, so home is ideally a place to relax. I'm pretty social and up for a chat but also enjoy my own downtime. I'm hoping to find a house with a similar rhythm, whether it be with other students or full-time workers.
Hi! I'm Renee and my partner moving with me is Dan. We're looking for a place where we can be comfortable, make some new friends in our house mates and find a new home. We'd love somewhere that has a fun, relaxed atmosphere while still being clean, tidy and functional. We look forward to being able to spend quality time with our new housemates, sharing meals together, bingeing our favourite TV shows, or having a quiet night in playing board games and having a drink or two. We (especially me) love animals and would love it if you did too, a friendly dog or cat around the house would be no problem at all. A bit about us... We're moving down from Sydney as I am soon to start a Master of Genetic Counselling at Melbourne Uni! So I will be studying full time and working part time. Dan is a psychologist, currently working with young people, and will be working full time. As I am moving down for the start of uni I will be arriving from the end of January to mid February (date flexible). Dan will be finishing a few things up here in Sydney and hopefully moving down in March/April. We're both active people who love spending time outside (particularly hiking or bushwalking). I love to read, do fun crafty things like knitting (somehow my projects rarely get finished) and I love cooking/baking (my jams and chutnies are in high demand), I'm also mildly obsessed with dogs. Dan enjoys keeping fit and active (running, boxing classes and hopes to take up bike riding), and then likes to come home to relax watching Netflix or having a good chat. If we sound like a good fit for your household please feel free to contact us! We look forward to hearing from you!
Clean, tidy, busy, active, easy going, animal lover. I work hard mon-Friday and enjoy the weekends either in the city for food/drink or getting away. Respectful and reliable. I work full time at the department of health and human services in child protection. Looking for an easy going new place in coburg with like minded folk, keen to chat and share wine/food/movies but also enjoy my own space.
Hey! I'm a warm, open minded and respectful housemate always up for a good belly laugh, house movie nights, or just chilling on my own in the hammock with a good book. Huge animal lover, so pets are a plus. Vego, but anything but preachy. Musician, but respectful of the quiet hours. Ideally I'd love to find a place with a good garden to help out in, a bath, and I'm hoping for more of a sociable, friendly household; somewhere that's not afraid to go and grab beers together sometimes, while still keeping up a healthy respect for space and privacy too. Not looking for an immediate move, but just testing out the waters, and if the shoe sounds like it fits, let me know!
Hey, there! Just moved to Melbourne (2 months ago) searching for a re-start in my career (have also some study plans). Originally from Greece but i am an australian citizen. I've studied economics & politics and i used to work as Project Coordinator for an NGO responsible for assisting asylum seekers/refugees (so i can be considered as person with strong humanitarian & moral values). Currently, i am living in Oakleigh and working full time in a restaurant, but i want to move central as soos as possible. I am a positive attitude & mature personality, very extrovert who loves meeting people sharing stories, experiences, ideas and future plans. Ι' d love hanging out together every now and then during weekdays nights for a glass of wine or a beer bantering or watching movies. I' ve lived more than 6 years in shared houses, so i know how to live together with other people, respect their space, privacy and needs. i am looking to find people who value independence, privacy and hygiene the same as me. I am an active person who enjoys going to the gym, concerts, exhibitions (really interested in contemporary art), in general i'm keen on experiencing what Melbourne offers you. I want to have a ballanced life and i believe that this starts from a balanced house. Repsonsible and accurate on bill payment At the moment i am interested for 6-month minimum length stay with a possible extension if everyone is happy. If you are interested in having me as your housemate, please get in touch!
I pay my rent & bills. I cook, clean, and understand boundaries. I think, have some empathy, and fix things. I have renovated a house. I am good with tech. I have travelled far, and done many things. I have just finished a Masters Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I am fine with Rainbow people, but aren't one. . I am looking for a better place to live with my 13 year old daughter. She is a bilingual, 'A' student. This year she did circus, hockey, debating, singing, long distance running, and spent a month in Germany. She is Ace. I have her half the time, and is the reason this is so hard. . I need an appropriate place for her to live. I want a fellow parent, or maybe an Empty-nester, somewhere in the Inner-ish North. . Last time, we moved in with a man in his 60's. I slowly cleaned & fixed his big house, which has been great to live in. 3 years later, it is time for us to move on. I adore cats, and maybe a dog would be OK. I have a working station-wagon. I am used to living with difficult people. Someone easy to live with would be wonderful.
I’m fun, friendly, very clean, quite a handyman and gay, so hopefully that’s not much of an issue. Work full time in sales. Like to both stay in at home or be out pretty equally. Needing to move out of where I am now sometime soon, so I’ll be having a look around.
I'm a 26 yo queer chick and I'm currently studying post-grad physio at Melbourne uni full time and work casually as a disability carer (I have 2 more years left of my course so am looking for a long term place). I also come with a very friendly and playful young dog, Lola, who loves cuddles and pats. I also play footy, which I love doing and am always quite active. I also enjoy veggie gardening, playing/cuddling with my dog, cooking and socialising over beers/wine. I've lived in all different sorts of share houses with people of all ages and like to be comfortable with my housemates and be able to have a chat and a laugh when everyone has the time. Get in touch if you think I'll work with your house or if you've got anymore questions!
Attention Flatmates!! My name is Taylor, I'm a 21 year old girl working full-time in the CBD and looking for a lovely new place to call home. I would love to be friends with my housemates, hopefully of similar ages, but also 100% respect personal space. Not really a party girl, but like to go out occasionally on weekends, and don't mind if you're party people. I'm neat and tidy, and the house will always look lovely whilst I'm living there. I still haven't mastered the art of cooking for one so family dinners all round! On my days off I love to chill out and catch up on shows, find nice places to eat smashed avo, and see friends. If I sound like a good fit for your place please hit me up and tell me a bit about you :)
Hello new friends, I’m a 32 year old academic moving from Perth to Melbourne for a research job in early 2018. I’ll be working out in Ravenhall Prison, but I’d like to be based in north-ish Melbourne. Because I’ll be driving to work I’ll need an off-street car park. I’m looking to just share with one other person, maybe two (I’m past my share-house days) so I would be looking to share a rental with an existing renter/owner, or perhaps connect with someone who’s also in the process of looking for a rental. I come with two indoor-only cats, my 2ish year old ginger boys Billy and Bo. They are fantastic, quiet, clean cats and being indoor they never get into trouble (except for pushing objects off counters, obviously). I’ve heard it’s not as hard to find rentals that allow pets these days in Melbourne, so I hope that’s definitely true. I am a somewhat introverted person but not completely shy, and would like to have the company of a roommate but also the space to chill by myself when needed. I would prefer to live with people with the same outlook, having mutual respect for each other and our belongings and all those commonsense things. I am not crazy (in the murder sense), love 90s action movies, intelligent conversation, heavy music and consuming copious amounts of cheese. Definitely not a partyer, but not adverse to going out for fun-times/having the occasional shin dig at home. In fact, I probably need to do a little more of that, make some new Melbourne friends Ideally would get to know potentially roomies a little (over the net or however) before living together, feel free to contact me for questions or a chat.
