My name is Tanieka, I work full time and am looking for a place to call my own! I like to consider myself a fairly clean person and I love animals so if you have pets that’s a plus! I’m a very chill person and get along with people easily despite appearing shy at first. I love reading, running, Netflix, festivals and anything that involves a good time!
I am originally from QLD and moved to Newy last year for work. I work full time with kids as an provisional psychologist. I am a very easy going and tidy person. I am pretty social, enjoy a good chat and a laugh. At times I can be pretty busy during the week but like to chill out of an evening and on the weekends.
Another novocastrian returning after spending a few years in Sydney. Good at cleaning up after myself, always pay my rent on time, fairly quiet and easy going but always happy to have a chat over a beer or cuppa - gin and tonic is my weapon of choice. Not adverse to communal activities but don't mind flying solo. Bit of a nerd so you will most often find me gaming or reading in my spare time. I also have a small dog (jack russell - 12yo) Max who is also pretty chilled, rarely barks, is fully house trained and loves a snack, cuddle or wrestle. Financially, I am currently only doing irregular work for a friend until I can find something more suitable up here and get established but I receive benefits to assist and am eligible for rent assistance in the meantime. I usually work in retail alcohol both digital and brick & mortar stores or pouring beers. If you think I sound like a suitable candidate for your household please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm also more than happy to provide references. Happy hunting!
Hi, Sam and Kirsten here! We're 26 and 25 and are relocating from Brisbane to Newcastle as I (Sam) begin uni here this year. We like to think we're fun/funny and good company to have around but are also more than happy to keep to ourselves. We also have a little dog named Dotty looking to come with us. She is a 4yr old Maltese Poodle who doesn't shed fur, doesn't bark and could challenge a koala to a sleeping contest to give you an idea of how lazy she is. We're very tidy and certainly enjoy our food (So does Dotty)! Kirsten is also a qualified dietitian but don't worry, we still love our pizza, chocolate and other tasty snacks! Hopefully we sound interesting enough to persuade you to let us live with you! :)
Hey all! My names Meg, I'm 20 years old and looking to move to good ol newy. I work full time as a barista still in search of what i'm going to do with myself. I'm a very social person, love throwing a good dinner party, love the beach, going to gigs, super easy going and killer cook. Also love my down time and a good netflix doco. Like to think i'm easy to live with so hit me up!
20 yo // first year part-time uni student // casual waitress I'd consider myself a caring person who loves making new friends. I do like to busk in some alone time here and there and respect that others do too but also won’t ever be one to turn down a moment to procrastinate in any way or form (🍷). I'm a lover of the ocean, wine, dogs, Coffee, Netflix, music festivals, photography, travel & all things good. Social wise- I do like to go out occasionally, but drinks out the back will always take the cake. Cheese platters are pretty good too. Would love to live with others that are fun, caring and honest about things... Feel free to suggest for coffee and a chat if you're interested as it’d be nice to hear from you.
I'm from Sydney originally, formerly working in management consulting. I'm now studying to be a teacher at UON and am part way through my degree. I am just looking for somewhere relaxed to live but I am a social person, i've lived in many different countries and have lived with different types of people. In my free time im generally playing tennis, touch football, hanging at the beach or reading!
Hi! I’m Sarah, a Graphic Designer that enjoys a healthy & happy lifestyle. I work quite long hours (either in Newcastle or Sydney) so enjoy quiet weeknights and catching up with family and friends on weekends. I have a small 11yr old dog called Honey who is super friendly (& mostly lays in the sun all day!). I'm looking to share a place with a like-minded healthy person that is clean, tidy, respectful and happy to have a really cute dog at home. Sound like a match? Hit me up! :)
Hey, My names Abby! I love a cheeky bevvy on the weekend. In saying that I also love my Netflix sessions and respect others wanting their time alone too! I work full time 9-5 so ill be home at nights. When not at work im at the beach attempting to surf or at the gym! I cant say I can cook but gotta learn somehow right? I'm not fussed on the move in date either! My friend and I are looking for a 3 bedroom house in and around town and are in need of a third flat mate. If you want to have a chat to find out more about our plans feel free to flick me a message. We're also very happy to have coffee sometime if anyone wants to meet us. Updated we have found a house and flatmate! Good luck to everyone else :)
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration this year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. veggie patch (or potential for one) and a nice yard space would be awesome. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. Although I don’t really know anyone up here yet so friendly roomies willing to go on walking adventures with me and my camera would be wonderful. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Hello all! I'm extremely keen to move out in the Newcastle inner city region. I'm currently undertaking an electrician apprenticeship and have lived in Newcastle my whole life. I know the city like the back of my hand and a house near the beach would be amazing how ever I'm open to any of the locations listed above!. I love to have fun and meet new people and hopefully we can be roommates soon! Cheers!
Im originally from Sydney. Studying in the faculty of engineering at newcastle uni. Im easy going and pretty chill. I am respectful of privacy but am also down to hangout and chat. Im an alright cook and am always willing to clean and do my bit. I like the beach, music and partying. I will be working part time and may go back to Sydney some weekends.
I am a 23 yr old female studying full time and working casually at Belmont Hospital. Ash is a 25 yr old male, who also works at Belmont hospital and is studying through the Australian Institute of Fashion. We are both very tidy and respectful. We enjoy going to the gym, catching up with netflix and the food scene of Newcastle. We are not usually home during the day but would love to come home to a friendly face or two. We have both had several years of experience with living in sharehouses/renting so we are familiar with the rules/etiquette of shared housing. We are looking for 1 or 2 people to start a share house near the beaches/CBD of Newcastle. Ideally we would be aiming for modern-ish features and a decent kitchen, for a max of $200/week including bills. Alternatively, we would also love to join an existing sharehouse if it matches the above description. We can bring with us: queen beds, brand new full size fridge, washing machine, microwave, leather lounge + more if required.
My names Matt I’m 30 I am a full time worker in the mining industry. I am easy going, clean and a fun guy that doesn't mind a good time or a chat. I don’t mind eating out and having a few beers on a weekend.... I can respect people's privacy and alone time. I will be out about most weekends with mates or work. I am happy for long or short term stays. I have a 6 yr old son who lives in Newcastle who I have every second weekend. I will normally stay at my mums house with him or go away for the weekend.
Recently moved to Newcastle from Brisbane for work (Project Management). Been renting with 2 mates for the past 3 years so understand how to respect a fellow room mate. Wont be home much during the week but am keen to meet people that enjoy surfing, camping, music and the occasional cold beer on the weekend. I'm a easy going, clean and organised bloke who gets along with anyone. Feel free to send me a message if you think I could be your potential room mate :)
I am on the search for some housemates to move in with asap, ideally in a location within close proximity to pubs/kebabs/shops/beaches. I spend the vast majority of my time working/studying (watching Netflix) and am generally sleeping/indulging in $4 Moscato during my spare time. That said I do spend a lot of time at the beach and in the gym. I’m “tidy” but can someone who doesn’t brush their hair ever really be considered tidy? Will cook you copious amounts of food on the reg and my life provides good entertainment (srs) I will also be bringing my still (so free alcohol on tap will be included for all) We don’t have to be best friends but if your friends are cooler than mine I will definitely try. It’d be great if we could sit and chat over a glass of wine or a few beers. I am clean and respectful of your space. I work part time Sydney and study at UON so I am always busy. I don’t want a dorm style home, I want something friendly that is actually a home. Please feel free to ask me any questions!
I am a Law and Political Science student at the University of Newcastle. Also work part time in hospitality. Living life to the fullest is my motto and always keen on doing fun and exciting things. I am a bit of a social butterfly I always love having drinks with friends and sometimes going out clubbing. At the same time I am also a super hard worker and put in the effort at university. I try to stay active and eat healthy as much as I can. I do have a pet cat which I would LOVE to bring with me but my parents would happily take care of her if this is not possible. As I work and study in Newcastle, I would prefer a location right in the city and close to everything! I identify as gay, so other gay room mates would be fantastic although I do get along with everyone!
Work full-time in IT, like to keep common spaces clean, pet lover of all kinds (the more pets the better!). Avid Arsenal fan and a bit of a gamer, so I'm used to handling banter. I play netball at Howzat and 5-a-side soccer at Warners Bay after work, so I am out of the house a bit during the week. Eater of anything that doesn't have mushrooms. Night Owl. I'm looking to move close to the Newcastle CBD/beaches :) I'm always up for a chat and a beer or two :) Looking to make new friends, so a sociable group is preferable! However, I am not looking for a party house, as I'm not about that life. A 3-5 roommate place is preferable. I plan to be in Canada for June + July, but will be paying my share of the rent during this time. Hit me up if you think we will be a good match!
Hey! Im a young dude looking to move back into my beloved newy after 1.5 years traveling. Im an easy going casual school teacher with an interest in music, cooking, bike riding and everything newcastle! Im an outgoing people person but also enjoy my alone time. I dont mind a bit of a party but as im getting older the hangovers are becoming more of a challenge so i try keep intoxication fo a minimum😁
I work a 9-5 job. I'm somewhat of a minimalist. I don't own much stuff but I have a nice amount of records and books. I love to read, listen to my record collection and spend most of my spare time selling books and records at markets around town. I don't go out of my way to drink, and I'm not big on socialising. I keep to myself and like my space to be clean and tidy. I generally stick to my own routine and have a fair amount of experience living with other people. Current landlords are selling property and I am urgently seeking some level headed people who live close to town to flat with. Hit me up!!
