Hey everyone! I'm making the big move from Canada to study dent at USYD and am looking for a new place to call home. I'm excited about this new experience and am hoping to make new friends to go explore the area with! A bit about myself: I have had the experience of living in shared rental housing (males & females) during undergrad and I understand the responsibilities and dynamics that come with it! I find living with cool people I vibe with a lot more fun and enjoyable than living on my own. I'm an open-minded, easygoing, sociable, compassionate, trustworthy, and energetic person. I genuinely love going out and meeting new people and listening to the life stories they share. I enjoy good banter, am always down for an adventure and a good time and like to joke around and laugh a lot. That said, I also know when I need to buckle down and hustle - aka the study grind! As your housemate, I will: pay my bills on time, clean up after myself, respect your privacy, respect the common areas, share, be generous in the kitchen, be a straight-shooter, have open honest communication, be understanding and considerate, and contribute to a positive environment. Things I like to do outside work: go to the gym, read a good book, be outdoors, explore, go on hikes, go to the beach, toss a football around, watch football & hockey, go to sports games, volunteer in the community, go out dancing, go to concerts, go for brunch, check out new cafes/bars/live music, listen to podcasts, binge some tv, discuss life, play with my pets, try new things, travel!! Oh and I love (and is almost always) listening to all kinds of music! && You can trust me to 99.9% of the time - have a fresh pot of coffee brewing each morning. I'm hoping for something near USYD (would be prime if it was walking distance!) and at least a year long with the potential of more since I will be in Syd for the next couple of years. Thanks for your time & excited to hear from y'all :) PS I have pets back in Canada, so I would be happy to have house pets around if you have them
Hi! I’m starting uni this year in March so I’m looking for a chilled quiet household to study in. I’m a bit introverted but I’m keen to make new friends and be apart of daily life in a shared house/apartment. I’m also easygoing and get can get along with all types of people. My hobbies include playing video games, skating, Krav Maga, scuba diving and watching tv shows on Netflix :)
I'm a friendly, fun gal from Canberra. Love adventuring, travelling, movies, music and photography. I'm a student at UTS and working part-time in retail, so I'm always busy. I like to think I'm pretty likeable too. Ideally, I'm after a private room (I'm very sociable, but value my alone time). For this purpose, I'm willing to pay up to $250/wk :)
I am a student who enjoys a good movie and a good walk as a way to have a nice relaxed evening after a long day! I have lived in a share places for 4 years now (including homestays and shared room). Now I am just simply looking for somewhere nice and chill where I can unwind after uni or work. I cannot describe myself as a party animal these days, but I do enjoy the occasional get-together or a Netflix binge. I am looking for something more than a “hole in the wall” where it can feel like home😊
Hello! I'm Danielle, a Masters student moving to Sydney from New Zealand. I'm looking for a place (fairly close to Sydney Uni) to stay for a couple of months. A few basic things about me...I'm easy-going, I love animals (awesome if you have a cat or doggo!) and I enjoy the cheeky wine on the weekend. I'm tidy and well organised. I like yoga, running, playing guitar and adventuring outdoors.
I am a generous, kind, tolerant, thoughtful and friendly person, who is super tidy and clean. I'm also a great cook and have a wonderful sense of the absurd. I like to laugh, am generally pretty positive, and would like to share with someone similar. I moved to Melbourne from Sydney last March, but now find I will be back in Sydney for a 9 month contract (I am a freelance sound editor, working in film) from mid-March - ohhh, the irony! I love cycling, yoga, swimming, reading, MOST styles of music, film, intelligent company and conversation, great food and wine. Oh, and gin! And animals! So if you have pets, that is wonderful. I'll be working long hours so do require a non-party household thru the week. I hope we can find each other, future flattie!
I'm a full time student at Sydney uni studying history and philosophy of science. I also work as a tour guide and at a museum, and tutor school students, so I'm a pretty busy person. In the spare time I have, I like hiking, swimming, poking around op shops, and I occasionally play a bit of guitar. I'm also a pretty good cook and really enjoy cooking for others. I'm looking for a friendly place to live where housemates are up for a chat and a beer every now and then, but I do also value my own space so I'm not expecting a social environment at all times. I'm also housetrained so won't make too much mess and will happily help clean the house.
I work full time in accounts and studying part time. I'm easy going and quite laid back, I enjoy cooking and baking, weekend drinks, bush walking, and some outdoor stuff. I'm looking for a room for myself, at the moment i need it for 3 months with possibility of extending it
Hello! I'm Sonam, a 24 year old medical student from Canada. In my spare time, I like exploring Sydney's beaches and bars, gardening, and watching trashy reality TV. I anticipate being at school or the hospital for most of the day. I prefer my space clean and tidy and I'm a non-smoker. I definitely enjoy the odd night out but it doesn't happen too often as I have so much work to do for school.
Hey I am a tidy and easygoing guy, looking for a room or a teamup, preferably close to USYD, as I am in the final semester of my bachelor in Economics. Even though I may have used to be a bit of a party person in the past, as it is my final semester and I want (need) to improve my marks before graduation. Therefore I plan to limit it to some quiet drinks with the roommates every now and then. I spent the last year on exchange in the Netherlands sharing an apartment with four other people and we managed to create a great environment, that I would love to have again.
I'm Francis Manuel, an incoming law student at The University of Sydney. I like to travel, go on food trips, read, and watch films. I'm very neat, organised, and easy to get along with. I probably would spend most of my time in the university, so I'm looking for accommodation where I can prepare my breakfast, cook my dinner, rest and have a good night sleep.
Hi there! I'm a 28-year-old Chinese corporate lawyer with 4+ years of experience. I'm moving to Sydney for a 2-yr degree at USyd and will likely stay on to work in Sydney after my studies. Hi, we are Lukas and Emilie. We are two danish students, who are very much looking forward to moving to Sydney and to study at USYD. Lukas loves sports and cooks a mean risotto. Emilie is very interested in marine life and is always looking for new baking recipes. We are tidy, responsible and easy going and have always lived with roommates. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I am a cheery Animation International student from Singapore who is looking for a place to stay during the duration of my studies. I plan on working part time during my studies. hope i can meet some great people during my stay!
An international student. I'll be moving to Sydney in mid-Feb (arriving on 16th Feb) for my Master's at USyd. Most of my time is likely to go into studies, part time job and football (soccer). Like most of the people on this platform, I too stay clean and tidy. I'm pretty chilled out.
Hi there it's Twinny here. I've spent 3 years in Sydney before, just back for visiting my mates and the beaches and need a short term stay from February 4 or so. Bubbly, chilled, cheeky and speak fluent idiocy and sarcasm at times. You'll most likely find me chilling on the beach, having a drink at the backyard or lazy weekend brunch every now and then, but respectful of one's privacy and do my own thing around the house. Looking for a sundrenched room in Glebe/Forest Lodge/Wooloomooloo/Potts Point/Narrabeen with awesome housemates x
I'm a mid-30's accountant working in the city. New to Sydney, originally from Brisbane and looking for a place to call home within 5km south/west of the CBD. I'm fairly laid-back, quiet, clean, tidy and considerate - happy to socialise with housemates or just do my own thing. I've lived in shared houses for well over a decade and am still close friends with most of my past housemates, several of whom would be happy to provide a character reference. I'm Ideally looking for at least a 6 month stay, if not longer. Ideally looking to move early-to-mid February, but do have some flexibility for late-Jan or later in Feb. Looking to share with late-20's to early 40's, but flexible with this. Good public transport links to the city required.
Hello, I'm 22, work full time, I'm looking to either join a share house or start one early this year. I'm pretty easy going, don't mind smokers as long as it's outside. I don't mind people with pets either. Ideally I'd like to live in Camperdown or surrounds. Keep common areas in the house tidy and clean, (shared effort) Don't mind people having friends over. (within reason.) Don't mind Male or Female. As far things about me I enjoy banter, watching movies/tv shows, video games & going to gigs. Would be nice to have flatmates that would like to also hang out sometimes and are friendly. :) P.S I'm a decent cook.
My name is Rach, I am a 28 years old lady that hails from the Blue Mountains, but have lived in Sydney for some time. My home for the past 2-years has been a lovely 5-bedroom terrace in Darlington. I am seeking a bit of a change in suburbs, as well as something a bit cheaper and on the smaller side. I am working part-time in psychology, which I am looking to increase in the next few months. I am somebody that appreciates a peaceful, clean and friendly atmosphere. I have been sharing houses for over a decade and am well versed in what it means to live with others. When Im not working I enjoy taking time out and getting out and about, but I also value my down time and self-care time. I like to keep a nice balance of being home as well as getting out and being with friends/family. Always happy to share a meal and a nice easy yarn over a vino.
Hello! I'm a grad student at USyd looking for a new home. I'm 24 years old, of Indian origin. I'm a calm, friendly, tidy, quiet, punctual, easy-going person who can easily get along with people and new environments.
Hey there! I’m Ramsey, 26, non-smoker, and I’m a full-time medical scientist at the university of Sydney. I’m looking for a place close to work as I tend to stay back most days. As a housemate, I pride myself of being really clean and respectful. I am sociable and enjoy making new friends and going on adventures. I am looking for someone who is LGBT-friendly, clean, and considerate. I have my own car and would therefore need a place with parking space. I am also looking for an en-suite or a bathroom shared with no more than one person. Please feel free to ask me any questions about myself.
