Hello! I am a youth worker but usually work a few different jobs to keep me entertained. (at a bit of a career cross road atm actually) I am pretty arty I have a background in photography and I'm starting to learn how to paint. I am at that age where I still wana be social but also enjoy my own space/ alone time. I am a bit of a neat freak not guna lie! I like a clean non cluttered house with lots of plants! And matching furniture and nice decor matter so much more than it did in my 20s haha. I'm vegetarian, prefer to live with other vegetarians/vegans but not essential. Bit of a hippy but the kind that showers. Meaning I am environmentally conscious but not perfect ( I drive a car) Love music and drinking tea ( I come with a large tea collection!) Don't smoke and rarely drink these days but don't care if you do (as long as smoking isn't inside) I've said a 9 month stay but it would most likely be longer, I usually get out of Canberra for some of winter and travel but if I was happy in the place I was living then I wouldn't move out while I traveled. Racists and homophobes need not apply. I'm an open book so ask anything : )
I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a grad program in February 2020. I'm friendly, easygoing, tidy and independent. I'm happy doing my own thing but also hope to make new friends (as I don't know many people in Canberra), and am down to hang out/shared dinners/movies/bevs etc. I lived in a 12-person sharehouse in Switzerland for 6 months, so I'm used to sharing my space and contributing to chores etc., and enjoy living in a place where there is plenty going on (but also need my downtime). A bit about me: I love to travel, and have lived in France, Switzerland and Canada. I love animals (but am sadly allergic to cats) and sometimes look after Guide Dog puppies in training. I'm an enthusiastic (but not overly talented) skier and am looking forward to being close to the slopes in Canberra next year. I'm a non-smoker, and prefer to live with non-smokers. I'm looking to find other young professionals or students to share a centrally located house or apartment in 2020. I hope to be able to cycle to work, so would like to be less than 10km from Parliament. Feel free to get in touch if you are also in the same boat! Cheers.
I am a mid 20s male moving to Canberra from Adelaide. I work full time as an engineer in the public sector. When home I am fairly quiet on week days but also enjoy socialising/having a few drinks on weekends. I play plenty of sport (rugby and touch football) and exercise regularly which takes up most of my week nights. I am hoping to move in with people of similar age, either young professionals or students for a good atmosphere and to make friends in a new city.
Hi :) My friend Taylor and I are both full time young professionals looking to move out in the inner south. I'm a Dietitian and Taylor is in the airforce. We're both super clean and tidy, I love keeping active and cooking (not always as healthy as you might think ;). Tay also likes keeping active and playing video games. We're both super social but super chilled at the same time so love hanging out chatting in the afternoons or over dinner and watching movies. We love a good market and finding hidden nature gems. Hit us up if you think we'd be a good fit for a team up!
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne in 2020 to begin full-time work in the APS. I don't know much about the city, or many people that live there, so I'm looking forward to exploring what's on offer and making new friends. I'm a keen traveller and lover of the outdoors, and I'm hoping to get into cycling and mountain bike riding more when I'm in Canberra. I'm a big fan of sports, playing soccer myself, but also being a passionate follower of the AFL. My free time outside of work will most likely be taken up be keeping active and also socialising at cafes / bars. I'm an organised but easygoing person, and will always make sure that I am a reliable and trustworthy housemate in terms of housework and finances. I respect people's privacy but also would hope to live with a group of people that I can easily get along with as friends. Ideally, I'd like to live in the inner suburbs, but will consider further out if needed. Overall I'm not too fussed, I'd just like have my own room and have it finalised around the start of Feb. Feel free to message me if you might be keen to team up!
I am clean, quiet and respectful. I am moving to Canberra to work at Treasury. For fun I like to play flute, go to the gym, play chess and drink whiskey. I have house shared before and hoping to meet some new great flat mates.
An easy going, flexible and adventurous Individual who works night shift full time as an RVN emergency and critical care veterinary nurse in Australia’s Capital. My nights at work consist of long hours on rotation and can be full on at times so I mostly spend my time off away travelling, exploring and discovering beautiful destinations. I have two small 8kg dogs who are mature age, well travelled, have a 5star air bnb rating, low maintenance and are well adjusted to nocturnal life alongside myself. As a night shift worker you’ll have the house to yourself every night and be lucky to see me once a week. Outside of work If i’m not already travelling away you’ll always find me up for a spontaneous plan, having a laugh and appreciating a good drink(s).
I work full time during the week and most weekends. I spend my spare time at the gym or hanging with friends. I am easy going and possess a charismatic behaviour, will be good to meet like minded people. In saying that, I do like to kick back at home some days over a nice glass of 🍷
Hello, I am currently working with the NSW Government and having secured a position in the ACT Government, i am planning a move to Canberra ASAP. It is a city i have fallen in love with. I am an early to rise and early to bed person. I am an easy and friendly person to get along with. I like to keep my surroundings clean, and expect the same from others. I enjoy movies, going to the library, reading fiction. I Also enjoy cooking various cuisines ( when i am not lazy). I am looking for not just a room. I am looking for a home where there is good energy (light, decor included) and people who i can say hello to. Looking forward to hearing from you.
