Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days a week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously.
I moved to Canberra from Perth earlier this year to work for the public service. My current lease runs out at the end of July so I'm looking for a nice, homely apartment, townhouse or unit within 15 minutes of the city. Looking for a place with 1 or 2 housemates who are clean and respectful of privacy, but like to cook, watch movies, and hang out together sometimes! Please contact me if you are looking for someone to move in from mid July :)
I'm a pretty chill country girl whos into fitness and looking to move in somewhere relatively relaxed, I admit, I don't go out every night and make a fool of myself haha. I'm a mid twenties adult in a young body. I can promise to always do my share of chores, keep to myself and of course not fight for the TV remote. I literally have 5 boxes of stuff to my name and am just asking for a chance.
I consider myself to be clean, honest, considerate, courteous, responsible, capable, non judgemental and mature for my age. I get on well and feel comfortable with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I enjoy both my own time to rest and recharge as well as socialising when possible. I have been fortunate enough to secure an apprenticeship at the place I wished to work at near the Kingston foreshore. My job and its location are excellent as are my co-workers. We get on very well and like to get together and socialise occasionally. So I am happy, content, easy going and focused on my job and future. I just need to be able to find a place to share with like minded people, much closer to work, as soon as possible, in order to avoid the 3hr per day commute that has plagued me for the last 11 months (and my life would be almost perfect).
~~~New to Canberra; young professional; have a Netflix account; cook; clean; good at tasks like setting up internet modems & routers & AV equipment; not good at tasks like uploading photos to flatesmates.com; laugh at jokes; make jokes~~~
I work full time in the APS and am studying a masters in my spare time! I am very easy to get along with and am clean, considerate and mature, and I don't have any weird habits! I'm also a non smoker if that is important! I like to clean up after myself and I hope you do too, but I'm not a crazy clean type! I'm a good cook with winter dishes my speciality! I'm an experienced sharehouser (is that even a word!?) and am considerate with noise etc I enjoy the occasional dinner party/bbq, a few friends over for drinks or games night etc but not looking for a party house or nightclub to live in as sleep and relaxation as important haha I'm happy to hang out and chat, watch netflix etc but also like some me time to study! I like to play squash, go bushwalking, and thinking about mountain biking, and archery atm but am open to getting involved in other things :) My move date is also flexible as I'm on a monthly contract in my current place.
I'm 32 from the UK and have just recently moved to Canberra. I'm looking for something long term and a housemate who's fun and likes to have a laugh. I'm easy going, enjoy cooking and like to have the odd glass of wine. l'm tidy, respectful and also enjoy the occasional hike.
We're two friends looking for a house or some fun housemates to team up with. Sophie's from Canberra and Simone's moving back to Canberra after a year in Sydney. Both of us work full time and are keen to live with laid back housemates who like hanging out after work, heading out on weekends and who also don't mind a few quiet nights in between.
Recently moved from interstate for work, looking for a modern place with own bathroom and provision for car. Happy for an independent house lifestyle or those who want a bit more social interaction between housemates also.
Moving from Perth to Canberra for work. I've been living in large share houses for the last 4 years and want to downsize that to a nice 2 person flat. I'm clean and tidy, love some good banter and a wine or two but also like to have my own space as needed. I'm a social person so will undoubtedly find lots of things to do from brunch to hiking.
I'm a full-time professional who moved from Queensland at the beginning of last year for work. Giving up sunny beaches was tough but I really enjoy my work (economics/consulting), and the seasons are nice in ACT. I am very tidy, easy to get along with, and respectful of other peoples space. Some weeks I work fairly long hours, but like to relax and socialise on the weekend. I also like to go out to latin dance classes and play social basketball some evenings. Keen to meet some future housemate(s) soon and have a chat!
I'm Monique, I'm a 28 year old working in the public service. I enjoy cooking and baking especially when I'm preparing a dish to share with good company and a glass of wine. I'm always up for a chat but also happy entertaining myself. I have a great group of friends that will keep me out and about. I'm used to a tidy and clean share house. My current roommate is getting married and his fiancé is moving in so I'm looking for a new home. I'm flexible with my moving date as I can leave my current share house earlier. I'm looking to stay between 6 months to a year.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra for a job and looking for a place to live. I'm clean, tidy and a non-smoker. Happy to hang out with my roommates, but also respect the need for privacy. I'm also happy to share meals and do my share of the cleaning. I look forward to hearing from you. Shelley
I am wanting somewhere to stay that is a self contained, one bedroomed unit or granny flat where I will stay ( mainly Sunday to Thursday) each week. Sometimes my husband will join me. We live in Wagga; I am a professional person, quiet and live in a spotless home in Wagga (our own) so would want a bright and cheerful place with light and off street parking if that was possible. I'll be working in Deakin, ACT.
Quiet mature-aged student with two small shih-tzu cross dogs looking for suitable long-term accommodation anywhere in the Greater CBR area. Conscientious, considerate of others, and respectful of privacy. Social as required, and always clean and tidy. References are available on request.
Starting work in Canberra (City centre) from the 8th May. Contracted till Xmas. I've lived with partners and flatmates most of my life and enjoy that social interaction ie I enjoy company. I am single, gay and a clean congenial person to live with
I'm 32 and work in the public service. I'm originally from Melbourne and moved to Canberra a couple of years ago for work. I am easy going and generally get along with most people. I am up for having a chat and hanging out with my housemates sometimes, however I am also pretty independent and enjoy doing my own thing a lot of the time. I'm neat and respectful of common areas. I'm a non-smoker, don't have any pets and am not into having raging house parties. If you share similar values, I would love to hear from you. Oh and preferred length of stay is 6 months to 1 year.
