My name is Michael, I am a 23 year old coffee professional from Perth and moving to Melbourne at the beginning of March. I am starting a job as a coffee trainer for an awesome company in Collingwood and will be working 5-6 days per week. I enjoy coming home to relax with a tasty beer or wine, some good conversation and a movie. On my nights and days off I enjoy exploring the city for new places to eat and drink and spend my holidays snowboarding as much as possible! I have been renting for the last 6 years including in Melbourne, Perth and Switzerland and have never been late with any payments. I am trustworthy, clean and considerate and excited to find my new home!
I'm happy, outgoing and very clean :-) looking to make a house a home! I love binge-watching FRIENDS, cooking, listening to 80s music, watching videos of dogs on YouTube and going on adventures! I've rented before but now wish to live closer to my work, preferably somewhere leafy and peaceful like Eltham ☺️✌🏻️🍃, with someone who is clean, friendly and close in age.

Hey! My name is Dom. I'm a house trained 26 year old electrician, vegetarian, occasional gardener and I have a border collie named Jed. Midweek I spend a fair amount of my time on my own (video games and reading) but always love coming home to a friendly face or two for a beer and a game of anything. Weekends are spent anywhere with a dance floor, I'm happy for some parties to happen at ours but not a necessary or frequent occurrence, no one wants to clean that much. Jed is 7 years old, super well behaved and will sell his soul for single throw of a tennis ball (soul already sold but he'll keep trying). I also come with a Moroccan Soup Bar cookbook, a ute and a decent fridge. Let me know if you'd like to meet me and the dog!
Greetings our future flatmate/flatmates. We are two, Lucie (24) and my partner Costas (26). We are a friendly couple, Lucie studies business English in CBD and Costas international business in Melbourne Polytechnic. We have experience in living in a shared flat/house individually and as a couple aswell, therefore we are peacefull, we know how to respect the house rules, how to be clean and quiet when needed. Lucie loves drawing, yoga, nature. Costas loves baking, science and motorcycles. We are as similar as black and white colour but get along as good as pizza with beer. We are responsible as individuals and as a couple, we follow etiquette. We don't look for a party house. Both of us can cook and know how to manage fridge. We both clean after ourselves and know how to maintain clean, especially shared spaces like bathroom and kitchen. There is not much that we would consider a perfect flatmate, we highly appreciate: * Not a frat house but an adult environment * A mature personality * A clean nature * Friendly people (being friends and not just flatmates is just awesome) What we offer * We are clean * We are quiet * We are open people * We are non smokers * If you like what we cook you can join without any problem, * If you want to join a conversation, a game, a movie, anything as long as you are friendly you are welcome. * We come in peace, we negotiate and dialogue and compromise. * Any knowledge we have can be yours we would be happy to tell you all about any skill that we have. * Awesome stories from around the world * Amazing food :D

Hi there! I was born 21 years ago on a Saturday, which is still my favorite day of the week. I love plants, am a pretty down-to-earth kinda person. If you have a pet than that's awesome! If not, no worries, I won't bring in any ;). I study Media and Culture which involves anything media related, from the very first cinemas till the playfulness of interactive art installations. Having a comfortable neat home, where privacy is respected but friendliness not neglected (what a terrible rhyme) would be amazing! Hope to see you soon!
I am currently in my final semester at Latrobe studying Business. I have just returned from a year abroad and need a room for at least 6 months in the vicinity of Latrobe in Bundoora. I have my own car so public transport isn't a necessity. I will be working hard this semester and playing sports so can be independent, but also look to go out on the weekends.
Hi! I'm french but I actually live in Spain for 8 years now. I'm working on a PhD in Political Studies and as a french teacher as well. I'm coming to Melbourne to study at La Trobe University and to conduct some of my PhD fieldwork. I've shared flats since I was 18 and I enjoy to have a good chat and laugh with nice and interesting people, but I also like to have my own space to study or listen music. I'm not really into sports but I love music (to play and listen), movies and books. I really love pets (both cats and dogs) but I don't have one of my own.
Hi, I am a 40+ yo full time Early Childhood Educator looking for a house that I can park my van in, where I will be living. I will need access to bathroom facilities and power/water. I am a qualified horticulturalist so I can help out with all things green and I make a small carbon footprint. I'm into Angel therapy, crystal healing and I pretty much keep to myself, but like a chit chat once in awhile. I enjoy a glass of tawny after work occasionally and I dapple in a few art and craft things for the kiddies for work. I have a sense of humor, I'm a good spider catcher, which is very important, as i seem to attract huntsman. I like to watch the sun set of an evening, and just chill. I think its the whole working with kids thing. I kind of enjoy living on my own but still need some company. Sole possession of the remote control. very important. If you think you can help me with a parking spot, please contact me.
My current roomie Hayley and I are looking for 1-2 other people to start a new share house with in the Inner North East! (All to have private rooms) About you: Looking for young people (e.g 23 – 35 years) who have experience in share house living. We want sociable people who are happy to share a glass of wine or cup of tea together when we cross paths however still independent with their own lives and respectful of privacy. It would be nice to have communal dinner together with Netflix or board games occasionally (obviously when time permits/schedules align!). Looking for open-minded individuals who enjoy North side living that keep communal areas clean (At our current place we have a rotating cleaning roster and a house kitty for buying cleaning products- we would be establishing this at the new place too). We aren’t looking to create a “party” house but casual drinks on weekends with friends is fine/ so is the occasional party- we just wouldn’t want you to be throwing raging parties every weekend. We are looking for people that LOVE animals as we have 3 TINY pets (please see description below). About the potential house: We are looking at 3 - 4 bedroom places – 3 bedroom places no higher than $570 total per week and 4 bedroom places no higher than $750 total per week. Splitting the rent would depend on the features of the room (e.g a master bedroom with ensuite would be more). We’re ideally looking for houses (not apartments) as we want a backyard and we would be starting a veggie patch. Also we both have cars so we are looking at places that have ample space for off street/ driveway parking. We have a lot of furniture (e.g fridge, washing machine, lounge, lots of homewares) but there would be room for some of your stuff (if you have any) as we can keep ours in storage if need be. However you would need to supply furniture for your own bedroom. About us: Liv: 26, over 6 years experience in share house living. Runs programs for adults with intellectual disabilities (Mon- Fri) whilst studying a Bachelor of Nutrition (so is very busy!). Animal obsessed, die hard triple J listener that enjoys catching live music and can make a sweet playlist. Clean freak and very house proud. Enjoys food festivals/markets, roof top beverages, a good day trip to explore all of the beautiful walks/parks that Melbourne has to offer! Would probably clash with strong right wings! Hayley: 23, dental nurse, originally from Bendigo. Also loves animals. Hippie that enjoys live music, Netflix binges, online shopping, bush doofs and checking out new bars/cafes in Melbourne! THE PETS; Boo & Ruby are two tiny indoor dogs that you could fit in one handbag however not the type that "yap", both are very quiet and well behaved. They are very clean dogs that attend the dog groomer every 6 weeks. Both are very friendly dogs that love lap cuddles however are well exercised and walked around 5km every day! They win absolutely everyone ever. Dexter is quite a reserved cat who loves dogs but unfortunately is petrified of cats so we are not in a position to take on another cat- sorry :( If you think that we would be people you would get along with, please get in touch! Our move date is flexible- we just need to give 4 weeks notice so wouldn't want to get stuck paying double rent for too long! Cheers :)
Hi I'm Paul, I'm a 31 year old professional musician and teacher. I teach a few days a week and perform on the weekends for a living. I'm looking in particular for a place where I could do some saxophone practise during the day. Generally between 9-5 business days, and maybe on occasion a hour or two on the weekends. If that suits you that'd be great! I'm a very laid back person, not really a party animal, and tend to stay home a fair bit. I also enjoy cycling, seeing live music, and catching up with friends. Totes up for a beer and hang in the evenings. Love pets, but don't have any myself, if you have a pet, consider me the fun uncle to that pet...or is that weird...
I'm a laid back but tidy gal who enjoys painting, knitting and a glass of wine and a chat from time to time. I'm vegan, LGBTQI+ friendly and supportive, typically fairly quiet and always conscientious of others. I enjoy gardening and I love to cook, so I will on occasion cook big communal meals! I am originally from California, moved out to Melbourne for love and stayed for the awesome people and beautiful city. I work in Preston where I manage an online store and I have two fluffy, very well behaved kitties who would be coming with me-they are very calm and spend most of the day sleeping or searching for a ray of sunlight to lay in. 🌞
Hi I'm James, I'm 24 years old and I work full time as an electronic engineer. I like to keep myself fit and healthy by going for a few runs every week. I'd like to move into a place with good people, who enjoy an eventful social life. I like to party. I'm a very tidy person, however a bit of mess doesn't bother me.
Hi there - I'm Susannah but please call me Susie :) Looking for a place to call home for me and my gorgeous puppy Mooshka! I'm practically a domestic housewife so if you need one contact me ASAP! Very clean, tidy & pretty good company. Very friendly but like us all I do like to keep to myself at times. I do work part time at a bank but I'm also running my own business as well as hanging out and going on adventures with my puppy. So I do keep myself quite busy - I won't be just loafing around the house haha. Feel free to ask any questions :) Honestly, I'm harmless and love baking! And who doesn't love free cake? Ha!
Hi, I’m Jess, a mid-twenties woman seeking a new abode to call home for a year or more in the Inner North/East city suburbs after getting back into the health industry professionally, having travelled a bit in 2016. I have accepted a job offer in the Richmond area and am excited to professionally get back to offering my service with people, starting late Feb. I am seeking to relocate closer to Richmond from where I currently reside for convenience, and for my lifestyle. I am looking to move into a nice private room (whether existing or starting up a share-house that is smoke free and drug free) late Feb, Early March onwards. I also do not have a car, so looking for a place close to PT, 15 minute walk max to a train station. Max budget $180 per week including bills, or some bills ideal. I am a low key being (in the means of being self-reliant and accountable with contributing to a shared household with cleaning, maintenance, energy, and finances). I like to keep communal living spaces clean and open and would appreciate my housemates doing the same so each housemate can utilize the space as they want, when they require. A place that has white goods, gas appliances, a separate toilet to the bathroom or an additional toilet, a backyard for potted plants (an established veggie patch open to sharing will be gold!), greenery with the property or greenery nearby, friendly people to co-habitat with that are independent, enjoy establishing good connections with those they interact with, and are considerate of others time, habits and ideas will be suitable. I am a kind being who is easy going and a natural listener and observer, always happy to chat and unwind when each of our paths cross in the house. I’ll be getting my routine in place with my new job at around the time I relocate with this interphase, prioritising my own time and like to attend dance classes on work nights or unwind at home with a hearty cooked meal and nature documentary or thriller/sci-fi science tv show series. In my bored moods I seek refuge in the great bake off series (a world I have before found creativity in). Weekends I like to purchase produce at markets, prep/cook food, catch up with friends out of house or try a new activity in the city, attend events, yoga. If our connections are good, I like to have a chat, meal, bordgame/film sesh or entertainment outing with my housemates when/ if our paths meet up. I am a humble, clean and independent being who is respectful of people's belongings and personal space. I've share housing experience also and always proactive with paying rent and shared bills on time, and will continue at the next place I move to. Thank you for taking the time to read my description. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting good vibe people, Jess
I'm interested in gardening, netflix, fitness and animals. Peaceful, clean, tidy. work in fitzroy north, am independant but enjoy having a meal or drink with my housemates.
I am a 20 year old female who moved over to VIC from Perth about a year and a half ago to study down Gippsland way at Federation Uni. Whilst I loved the place to begin with as the countryside is gorgeous, I quickly became pretty tired with the lack of culture and diversity of Churchill and plus my degree was no longer for me. So currently I have quit my Vet science degree and am looking forward to finding a place nearer the city to experience the Melbourne life which I was initially drawn to when I first came over. I am super clean and no stranger to housework as I love making the place I live my own and feel better when it's clean. My room would probably look as though a bomb hit it 70% of the time, but as far as bathrooms, living rooms and kitchen are concerned, I keep them pretty well. I also have a bit of a green thumb and enjoy hangin out in the yard. I love cooking and sharing meals. My favourite rentals are ones where we cook and eat together a few nights a week. I am super easy going and can't be bothered with drama. I play a little bit of guitar, I sing and music and live gigs are my shit. I love having music goin on through the house and I listen to all kinds of stuff so I appreciate hearing other people's taste. I also enjoy camping, sport (playing it not so much watching it) and the usual outdoorsy stuff like BBQs and bike riding. My main reason for leaving my degree is I want to give my passion for dancing a crack as I have been missing it so much since starting uni and figured I may as well whilst I'm young and able. As far as paying the bills go I have never been late on rent or haven't been able to pay a bill when needed and that's a fact. I have reliable savings behind me to cover my ass in the move between jobs but have honestly never had trouble finding one. My current lease is until feb 18th so I would be looking to move in around that time give or take a few days but must be out by 20th feb (otherwise I can bum with my aunty for a short while until a potential room becomes available). I am hoping to be staying til around feb 2017. Hopefully I'm considered and can't wait to meet my future housemates! Angie
Working full time in retail. I have been renting since the age of 17 and have tons of experience with household chores/cleaning/general maintenance; and living with housemates. I enjoy watching TV shows and a bit of gaming, I love to cook and am great at staying on top of household chores/cleaning/general maintenance. I love listening to music, so if you live with me - expect to hear some music playing while I'm cooking, cleaning, doing laundry etc. I'm mostly extroverted - I would ideally love to move into a place where the housemates hang out sometimes and have a friendly dynamic. I'm not normally someone who will come home from work and lock myself in my room. If I sound like your kind of housemate, please hit me up!
Hi My name is Simon, I'm from the netherlands and looking for a place to stay for the coming months. A little bit about me. I'm starting work this week in Preston as a Mechanic. I'm from the netherlands 24yo and have been in australia for 14 months now! I've lived in shared accomodation before so i know te balance between being social and giving privacy, clean my shit and keep my room and shared rooms clean and tidy. I like cooking and Sharing meals if you would be interested in my cooking skills. Enjoy a good chat, Reading a book, riding my bicycle, being outdoors, meeting new people, dont shy away from a drink or two every now and then just to name a few things. Just a social guys that wants to stay in Melbourne for the coming months!
Hi there! I'm looking to create a beautiful home in Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Rosanna, Watsonia, etc. (I've spent my fair share of time in Northcote/Brunswick etc but would prefer to escape out North East for the lush surroundings and a break from the hipsters) A little bit about me .. I'm in my 20s in my final semester of my undergrad degree at La Trobe (majoring in Anthropology and English). I spend my time hunting out new vegan brunch spots, sipping cups of chai tea and going on day trips in my car. I work as a nanny for several families in the inner North Mon-Wed and also work part time in mental health advocacy as a self employed consultant. I'm a feminist, queer friendly and environmentally conscious, so if these are values that you relate to/respect/are interested in, that would be excellent! I enjoy a chat in between life's up and downs but need time out to unwind. I also attend church once a week so if you are interested in spirituality or follow a (Christian) faith, it would be great to journey together. I have an extensive collection of homewares (enough to furnish a whole kitchen) but very little major furniture such as a fridge, dining table etc. so if you could contribute or go halves together that would be much appreciated. Please feel free to message me if you think we'd be a good fit. Zara
I am a friendly, fun and easy going person and I am looking to move into a house with kind and like minded people. I work full time and enjoy my creative hobbies outside of work. I recently moved back to Melbourne late last year and I am now trying to find a share house that I can call home for the next year.
My name is Jamine and I am looking for a new long term home. A place that is important to me with flatmates I care about. :) I have been in few share houses since arriving in Melbourne 13 years ago (French-Tunisian originally and now Australian). I am definitely house trained, tidy, respectful and fun with a capacity for deep conversation too. I like getting to know the people I live with. Some of my best friends are ex-flatmates. I enjoy time alone as much as time with others. I live a beautiful life with meditation practice, dancing, working as a psychotherapist, locuming as a social worker, improv theatre, swimming almost everyday and attending some workshops or gigs. I would love to meet you all by coming in for an interview. Jamine :)
Working full time as a print finisher keeps me busy Mon to Fri. Come the weekend I'm either winding down, cooking up a storm or most likely out/away. Am tidy + timely with rent/bills. Smoke outside. Enjoy a good read, the occasional beer and banter with easygoing housemates, drawing, science, venturing new places, billiards, video games, tv/film/docos, dining, going to events etc. Former volunteer at Laneway fest, Soundwave, last 4 years running at Rites of Passage Tattoo Festival. Ideally, seeking long term residence within close proximity to a train station and med-lrg private room (not shared) reasonably distanced from others. Thanks
Hi guys - I am a 28yo management consultant who has been flying in and out of Canberra for the past 10 months but is now looking to move back to Melbourne (am in Melbourne for weekends now so can view rooms on Fridays/weekends). My job is a professional office type job so can work some long hours during the week but have weekends off. I have lived in many a share house and am very clean and respectful. I am also a pretty nice, normal and down to earth person and think I am pretty easy to get along with. Any questions just let me know :)
I am very social and love getting to know people, but I do like to have my own quiet down time which is when I usually find time to sit in a park or just hideout in my room. I am not a crazy party animal but I am constantly on the go! Aside from catching up with friends and trying out new food places, I love travelling and cooking. I am clean, responsible and respectful and have previous housemates and landlords who will attest to this! I am organised and caring individual who is full of positive energy. Currently, I am a hospitality professional and juggle that with part time dance school. I am looking for friendly and caring housemates who are respectful of people and things. People who also take pride in where they live and keep it clean and tidy.
Looking for easy going, responsible, fun people to establish a share house with. Ideally one or two people (preferably not couples). I work, pay my bills, cook, clean and take care of myself. I have all the household essentials fridge, washing machine, couch, kitchen stuff etc. I like my own space, but also enjoy socialising. Do like to go out for food and drinks and to gigs, but not into bringing the party home (been there, done that). I love to travel, will usually do a big trip once a year, but also like weekend trips away. I love sneakers, earrings, hip hop and Harry Potter, have a love/hate relationship with crossfit (hate the actual exercise part, love socialising with my crossfit friends). I love animals so if you have a cat or dog thats a bonus. As long as your cat does not eat Jaime my fish. I'm looking forward to meeting you and finding the perfect house soon. PS my name is pronounced Summer like the season
Hey Hows it going? Im Ash, 25 years old, working full at the moment near greensborough as a civil engineer. Chilled out guy, absolute neat freak, get along with everyone and always respect people's privacy as I enjoy mine at times.
Im Monica, 26. I am looking for a room to rent. I work as a nurse and like time off, going to the beach, seeing movies, many types of art and cooking. Im respectful and self-aware but great at chilling comfortably with too. Happy to live with anyone, but would especially like living with other young professionals. Say hello to me if this checks in with you.
I'm looking for a place for my bestfriend and i. we're ready to move in as soon as april 10th, and we're hoping to find a stable place so the longer the lease, the better. hope to hear from you soon :)
My name is ben im 23 and have a little bit of experience living in a shared house, im easy to get along with, friendly, happy to help out around the house. I also up for a chat but do also know when ppl want to be left alone
I am clean and tidy, I am friendly and respectful person and I believe that we all related to each other we do not exist in vacuum therefore we need to look after each other.
I am a 31 year old single Male, non smoker, social drinker working in the CBD but occasionally travel for work to regional centres in Victoria. I am looking for a place to move to in Early February 2017. Ideally I would be looking for a place on acreage away from the city to share with other people. I currently live in a share house with three other people and two dogs. My pet dog is a Kelpie Border Collie cross, she is three years old and friendly with people and other dogs, also very well behaved. I also coach sport occasionally at my old school in Melbourne and like to play golf when I have time.
I am looking for: Single/share room near La Trobe Uni(Bundoora) A tidy/clean house Full furniture About myself: Animal lover (dog in Hong Kong) Netflix and chill Cantonese English Mandarin Hongkonger Local full time student Quite, friendly
I recently just got a graduate nursing position with Austin health which involves doing 8 shifts a fortnight and I would be around the house or visiting friends when I am not working. I have been living in share houses all through uni and I like to think I am an easy going person but I do like to keep things clean. I have been a vegetarian for years now but would be willing to cook meals with people. I have a beautiful dog called Bee who is a Border Collie, so I would prefer a house that has a backyard.
We are currently housemates and are looking for a new place to live with easy going, social people. Maria (23) is a norwegian student at la trobe studying creative writing, and Drew (20) works full time. A deal breaker for us is a messy kitchen, so as long as you clean up after yourself we will along fine! And lucky for you, Maria tends to clean the whole house when she is stressed. Both of us are social and like having a drink/meal with whoever we live with from time to time, but won't bother you if you're busy/studying/taking a nap. We're all for housemates bringing friends over as long as they're respectful to those with early mornings. Basically we're laid back people that joke around a lot, play angry games of monopoly, drink beer and make fun of Maria when she doesn't understand something Australian. PS: Drew tells dad jokes and Maria bakes when she's bored, what more could you ask for?
I'm a full time worker- stock standard Monday-Friday 9-5 sorta thing, with a dog! She's a gorgeous kelpie mix, and she's really well trained including toilet training, and loves other dogs, people and co-exists really well with my housemates cats. A bit about me- I've been living in share houses for the last 5 years, so I'd like to think I'm pretty respectful! I keep it low key and quiet through the week, but I would like to live in a house where we can have a chat or cook a meal etc through the week. I'm happy to keep to myself but I think it's better when everyone's comfortable and gets along! My weekends vary, but whatever I do through the day I try to take Koda with me. I'm a pretty clean person, respectful of other peoples space and hopefully easy to live with. I guess that's a basic run down, if you have any other questions just ask me!
People will describe me as fun, easy going, organised, tidy (that's the designer in me), dog lover and have a lot of determination with my day to day life. I've put myself out there as I'm looking to move out of home and would love someone who can open up their place to share with. I believe I can be very easy to live with, as I am flexible and willing to help out when it is required. I work full time and have a balanced social life. If you have a pet, I'd gladly take care of them as if it was my own. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you think I am the ideal candidate :)
Hi all! My names Eli and I currently work for myself as a Painter. I am currently looking for a room/house to rent with others with similar interests. I currently work anywhere from 5 - 7 days so I am not at home much, I am looking for a household that doesn't party overly much and is above all is clean. Garage or storage space is preferred as I have a lot of work tools I don't carry on me every day. Any questions just drop me a message.
Hi I am a working female who is reliable and respectable. Not the type to live in anyones pocket as I am an independent person but do enjoy a chat as I think it helps when sharing, build up a little rapport. I always pay my bills on time including rent. I'm mostly vegetarian so a non smoker, non drinker and no drugs person. I've always been a clean person, house trained so I respect the home I live in. I enjoy seeing a movie, out for a meal, yoga and outdoors to clear my head after work. Grew up in country Vic so when I see a platypus on a walk it's a thrill, reminder of the bush. I still have friends and family I visit so I'd be away some weekends. If any of my blog resonates drop me a line. Have a nice day.
Hi. I'm a jewellery designer in my twenties. Currently came to Melbourne for enhancing the techniques. Looking for a long-term private room. I love art, music, reading, photography and exchange the thoughts with interesting people. As a tenant, I’m tidy, friendly, mature, thoughtful and a non-smoker. Glad to be here and hope to find a creative place!
Hi there, I've just moved to Melbourne, from India.. Very enthusiastic to make new friends and hang out.. I like to read sometimes, go for hitch hike, go camping and have irresistible love the pets.. I am a Post Graduate student ,and I am used to the "sharing a place" thing for almost 4 years now..
Hello, My boyfriend and I are in the process of moving to Melbourne and are seeking a room to rent. We both are working professionals in the hospitality industry. He is a Kiwi where as I am from the states. We are both fairly laid back easy going people, sociable, but respectful of work hours. We enjoy movies, video games, tramping, or relaxing with a beer or two in our free time. We will be arriving to AUS at the start of March and are seeking accommodation from that point on. Thanks for your consideration.
I'm clean, tidy, VERY quiet and respectful of people's space. I am happy to be sociable and have a drink but I'll also respect people's right to be on their own. I work full time in local government and exercise a lot so I won't be at the house much. I am allergic to cats so I'm sorry I can't live with you if you have one! Ideally looking for a room with ensuite but happy to compromise for the right fit :)
I'm a gardener and handyman by trade but studying law and international relations which makes me a handy person to have around! I love to hang out, play some music or read a book. Very flexible with different people and easy to get along with.
