I'm a 27 year old engineer from Ireland working in the process of beginning full time work in Melbourne. Easygoing and adventurous, I was backpacking solo all around south east Asia for the last 6 months before I arrived in Melbourne. When I'm not at work I'm most likely chillaxing, socialising, playing sport or in the gym.
I'm clean, easy going and am independent but like to have friendly, clean housemates that like the occasional cup of tea/ drinks/ meals together when timing suits :) I've been sharing houses since I was 18 in different countries and am very adaptable. Looking for a new place long term but happy to start with 6 months also. Looking strictly in the areas listed below. The "About me" section isn't displaying correctly but I have only selected "Working full time" so if you see any others, likely due to some bug (?) on this.
Hi my name is Manuel,I am from colombia I am studying English and I am 28 years old, this city captive me from the first day that arrives, I am an orderly person, fulfilled and little lazy. I am fun and reliable, I am an adventurous person, who likes to meet new friends and new cultures, I love doing sports and partying I also like to cook. I do not like being locked in the house, I prefer to make plans to know what else I can
I am a student looking for room share for long period but I am open for short stay too. I am Indian and need room partner to have no objection in my cooking Indian meals. I will shift in short period.
I am a chilled out person. Into meditation, running and yoga etc. I like freestyle dancing. I am a professional in the IT field. I am mostly vegan. I like to hangout with friends, watch comedy shows on the internet, cook a little for myself. I tend to prefer organic stuff over artificial and chemical stuff. I am originally from India but last 10 yrs have been overseas including UK, Sydney and now Melbourne.
Hello future housemates my name is Maria just currently finished my diploma in beauty therapy and now currently working for Endota. I am a very social person love the company of people but I do understand people need there space to chill and relax by them selfs. Hobbie include taking photos, shopping, hanging out with friends and of course going out to eat. Love a good burger or pizza ! I occasionally like to go for a good walk or do some exercising to stay healthy. Just want to live closer to the city because I am finding it hard traveling to get to work from where I am livin at the moment. I am working almost full time hours so won't be home during the day unless I have a day off. I am just looking for a place where I can get along with my housemates.
A little about my self is that I've recently moved to Melbourne for work from North Queensland and I'm looking to move into a place with friendly not shy people, as I'm a outgoing active lad who likes to chat after work with a cold one from time to time and enjoy getting outside also I'm clean person who always cleans up after myself. I would be keen on teaming up with anyone who's looking for a place and wants someone to join them.
We are a easygoing couple and looking to find a nice place to stay. We are tidy and responsible persons. Always trying to make the best out of the day. We love to meet new people and have some nice conversations.
I am from Northeast of India, so I am a little different from the ones you have met until now. Recently joined as 1st yr research student at Melbourne Uni, dept of Architecture, Construction and Planning, and totally new to Australia. I love to cook and clean, and basically do my own thing. I like watching tv series and listening to music, which I sometimes sing along, regardless of the time or place, . Not paticularly a party girl, but I like to try new foods and drinks in different places from time to time.
I'm a 29 year old American guy that has just finished backpacking in Asia for a year and now I'm settling in Melbourne for awhile. I'm looking for a place for at least 6 months, potentially longer. I worked in IT for 4 years in Chicago but I'm currently in search of cafe work (hopefully day hours). I'm laid back, considerate, keep things clean and have been told that I'm a very easy person to live with. I enjoy running, biking, and cooking. I'm not a huge party person, but definitely enjoy a few drinks after work and the occasional night out. Since I'm new to the city it would be great to become friends with my future flatmates but it's not a must.
My name is Patrick Nicoll. I'm 24 years old and a full time Investment Analyst working in the city. I finished studying at the end of 2015 and decided to travel for a year; to New Zealand, America and Western Europe and have just returned to Australia and am looking for a place to call home for the next year to two years. A bit about me! I am an easy-going, relaxed, friendly and social person but also enjoy my own independence and space. I love jazz (I particularly enjoy going to all the great jazz clubs in Melbourne), film (I particularly have a taste for experimental stuff!), travelling, hiking, and trying all the new food spots in and around Melbourne. I also love to chat about economics and politics - I'm a bit of a debater when it comes to most things! - , but I am well aware many find it to be rather dull!!
27YO professional, work in the CBD on a rotating roster (daytime hours). Like sport, fitness, travel, weekend beers etc. Happy doing my own thing (and keep pretty quiet during the week) but certainly hoping to find like-minded housemates. Occasional banter, beers, meals etc would be great. Seeking inner city private room, ideally with own bathroom but not essential. Looking for a place from mid-late April (potentially earlier if I find the right place). Max rent $300/week. Please get in touch if you think I might be a good fit.
Hey hey people, I'm looking for a place to call home around central Melbourne, anywhere from St. Kilda to Ascot Vale is fair game. Trying to keep a maximum distance of 40 mins from work in Port Melbourne (by bike). I enjoy being sociable but can be left to my own devices if you prefer. I am tidy, considerate and good for a laugh. I'm in my 5th year of engineering, originally from Canberra, I am currently on internship here in Melbourne for just under a year. I thoroughly enjoy my music, movies, martial arts, gaming (board and video) and a little basketball. If you think i'd make a suitable housemate feel free to chuck me a message.
My name is Abby and I am 18, I am moving to Melbourne as my partner has been accepted into the defence force and will be undertaking training there. I am respectful, honest, tidy, out going, cheerful and happy, I am always up for a chat, cool with you having your personal space and alone time, I love adventuring and really enjoy snorkeling, I am moving from the Sunshine Coast and looking for the perfect place hopefully close to the city, I have a fur baby who is very well behaved and small for her age, her name is Delilah (cat)
I'm Mature, tidy & respectful, up for a drink or conversation or happy to give you privacy ! I work 6 days a week most of the time & go to gym regularly - I'm very tidy, don't make much mess in the kitchen as I eat mainly pre packed fitness meals. I'm fun and witty, can be social or quiet. Look forward to meeting up with a housemate asap - cheers, Terry.
I'm a project manager in natural resource management (restoring rivers and other waterways) and enjoy healthy living, cooking, and creative pursuits. I work full-time and am generally out from 8 am til about 6:30 pm, but I pack in quite a lot outside of work. I love travel, dancing, going to gigs and plays, and usually like to go out for dinner 1-2 nights per week. I love wine, gin and chatting, but also value having time to write/read/listen to music etc. I have a lovely boyfriend who is excellent at fixing things. I am looking for a place to live for myself and my small, sweet cat (Luca) who is very affectionate and loves hanging out with humans and other animals. He is very chilled out and loves a good cuddle. Or not, if that's not your thing.
Hey! I'm a Canadian (from Toronto) travelling through Australia and decided I loved Melbourne so much I have to stay for a while. I'm running my own small company in the sustainable fashion space but also working full time. I'm very used to sharing space with other people so I'm very easy going, open minded and respectful. I love to cook healthy food, be active (running, yoga, hiking) and explore local events. I also eat a predominantly vegetarian diet so if you don't want meat in the house I have no problem with that.
Im from good ol 'Murica, studying child care and development at a private college in the city. When im not studying, I'm nannying 3 munchkins and working an amazing cafe in fitzroy, or an amazing resturant off brunswick st. Other than that, i try to maintain a social life in between. Loves: cooking new meals, baking, netflixing, wineing or beering, paying bills on time, cleaning up after myself and making the house look ahhmazing, and every dog i ever meet (and cats, if they let me 🤗) Dislikes: people who clip their toenails in public and the word moist. Pretty busy lifestyle, but always happy to chat! Lived in share houses before, so definitely not my first rodeo :)
A friendly Indonesian lady, searching for a room or shared room. Prefer an all ladies' flat. I am an easy going person, love making friends, while still respecting others' privacy. I don't drink and smoke. My kind of party is a nice brunch and a good cup of coffee. I'm a dog person. Will be arriving Melbourne on 31 March. If you like what you read, do drop me a message! Cheers!
I'm from India. I am used to Flat-sharing. I'm neat, tidy guy. can help with house-hold chores. Will love to help you in cooking (Considering, you won't kill me if i make mistakes). I would love to play with your pet, if you have one, but if you don't, it's alright. Very helpful and have little bit of handsomeness from my papa.. Would love to hear from you! :)
Hi Guys, My name is Naima and I'm looking to rent two rooms, for me and my friend Ruhee. We're happy, respectful people, very clean and keep to ourselves mostly but also like to mingle in. A little bit about me, my hobbies include playing volleyball on the weekends, hanging out with my friends and reading. Also occasionally binge watch Netflix. We're recent graduates, now working. I work as an Account Manager at a desgin firm and Ruhee works at an NGO. Our budget is $400pw.
Hi I am Gab! I am a 32 years old, working full-time in education. I am respectful, open, friendly, clean and easy going. I am originally from Ecuador and have lived in Melbourne for 14 years. In terms of sharing a house, I am all for openness, generosity, friendship and community but also understand importance of respecting peoples' space and privacy, and that means keeping things clean and tidy as well! I like cooking, running, doing yoga, music, dancing, hiking and hanging out with family and friends in my spare time! I also love pets so happy to join a house with any pets!!!
Hi! I'm a bright, bubbly 24 year old looking to live closer to work (Melbourne CBD and inner/fringe suburbs). I love to talk, laugh, sing, watch a LOT of Netflix, sleep and eat my entire body weight in food. I'm a OCD neat freak who's constantly cleaning so I'd like to find someone like minded. I love yoga and barre and everything in between (except running). With me occasionally will come my partner, and I like to be fair and pay my share as and when its required. I work full time Monday to Friday so there's no issues with not paying rent and bills on time.
Hey people, Soo, Im a gay 25 year old male. I was a chef for 8 years and went on to manage a nightclub for 2 and coming into this year gave up both professions to undertake a bachelor business at the Australian School of Management. I know work part time to keep extra cash flow and am a full time student on Austudy looking for a somewhat mature environment to move into. I have a 20 yr old boyfriend who does stay with me frequently but he's also actually pretty quiet and easy going.. (as long as theres a mirror to keep him occupied) and a 3 month old kitten named max who I would take full responsibility for to the extent of even forfeiting a higher bond should it be necessary. He is an inside cat but he's very little and he's my best friend, and well looked after and he will be desexed and odour free I promise. I enjoy cooking, music, wine and the company of friends to chat. Drama is hopefully something we can leave a majority of in the past now I'm getting a bit older and diplomacy will ideally prevail in the event of any miscommunication that would occur. I am coming from my own 1 bedroom apartment that was furnished so although lacking somewhat in substantial furniture, I have all the means to make myself comfortable in my own space in which I would probably spend most of my time with max and my bf James.
Hey my name is Finn, I am 22 years old, studying part time and working part time. I have just recently gotten back from 4 months of travelling in northern Europe and northern Asia. My hobbies include hiking, cooking and music production, I love to catch up with friends on the weekend and study/work through the week. What makes me great to live with? I think first of all I am a person who loves to socialise and have a chat, I distinctly understand the rules and responsibilities of a sharehouse. I am a highly organised and self-driven individual who is reliable and trustworthy. I hope to be seeing you soon Kind regards.
Laid back and easy to get along with. Would love someone I can hang out with when the time suits but also like my privacy. I have a small female labrador who stays outside unless I'm home. We are both tidy and will clean up after ourselves.
Hey! I'm Johnathan, an Irish man whose just moved to Melbourne. I've been living with an Australian friend in Albert Park for the last few weeks but now it's time to move on. I'm working full time in an Irish Bar (because of course!) and am looking for another job in the creative industry to fill up the rest of my time. I'm sporty and love to swim, love meeting different people from different cultural backgrounds and lifestyles and generally believe I'm quite laid back. I'm a complete music fanatic and will plenty of music to the house. I'm clean and completely autonomous. Like to cook just about everything
I'm a Melbourne girl, I've grown up in a quiet outer suburb and keen to move closer to my workplace in the city, I enjoy my job as a chef with the realy long hours but am also dreaming about my next weekend getaway! I get along well with others, have a relaxed and easy going approach to life but also respect the joys of returning to a clean house. I'm usually out and about on the weekends, having brunch with my girlfriends or doing random activities like hiking or mini golf. Home will be my quiet haven to recharge and rejuvenate after a long day :)

Hey there! My name's Maria, I come from Spain and I'm 28. I'm starting a PhD at the Doherty Institute here in Melbourne and I'm looking for a warm place to live. I'll be working full-time during weekdays and I'll probably have to work at home, but I enjoy chatting while drinking some wine or beer in my free time, watching netflix, reading... I enjoy some time alone as well, but I'm overall a social, joyful and positive person who likes spending time with her mates. I'm a quite active person, I love doing sport and attending to dance classes and I like having a healthy lifestyle. I'm also very tidy and respectful. Just message me if I sound like someone you'd like as a mate and hopefully friend and confident!:)
Hey! Two mates and I are hoping to either take over a lease or team-up in a property. All work full-time: I work in Sports, Tom (24) works as a bar manager and Liam(26) is a teacher. All love sports, TV binge sessions and heading out on the weekends. Everyone is super busy during the week with work and after work activities (training, catching up with friends). I do have a dog who would be outside (all good if yard is small as take him to the park/run everyday) - very obedient and friendly. We have all graduated Uni and are past the stage of being messy, mid-week antics etc so that stereotype of 3 boys together is definitely not true! Mostly looking for a property of which we can take over the lease but also interested in a 4 bedroom if someone did want to stay on in that property or team-up. Couples welcome!!
I’m Australian, and currently doing my PhD at Melbourne University. I have two scholarships that provide me with a comfortable wage to study so can be considered as working full time. I also work one day per week with Melbourne Water doing some consulting work. I’m pretty laid back, but enjoy an active lifestyle. Enjoy catching up with friends, hiking/camping, beach trips, snow trips and travelling. I also make my own beer from scratch. So if there are any beer lovers in the house, I may be a popular addition! Looking for a private room in a share house with some fun and interesting peeps. Current lease is ending first week of May so ideally would like somewhere to move to from mid-end of April so I don’t end up homeless! Have been living in share houses for some time so am definitely house trained, courteous of others space and am quite clean and tidy, and enjoy cooking most meals. Look forward to meeting you!
Hi my names Rob I'm a supervisor at a transport company in western suburbs. I am from Ballarat but just got a transfer to Melbourne. My work life is very busy but I'm also passionate about fitness and go to the gym most nights. Play a little bit of sport and besides that I love going on adventures and out for coffee and having a few drinks on the weekend. Friendly guy and get along with most people
I'm am working full-time in the charity sector, studying online, friendly, curious/interested in so many things. A creative type, interested in the world around her (and within). I am clean/tidy, respectful and considerate. Anny.
Hey so I mostly will be on my own as my boyfriend lives over seas but I'm looking for a place that he can visit with no issues. I'm friendly and quite. I work and study so am very busy right now. I'm always willing to help and up for a chat. Let me. Now thanks.
Heya! I’m Kelsey a 26y/o female looking for a new place to call home and some great people to share it with. Would be interested in teaming up on a new flatshare or coming into an existing. I am a positive, down to earth person, enjoy a good chuckle and am friendly. I get along with most people. I have a 9-5 working remotely as a graphic designer (so I work from home, yes mainly in loungewear.) Because of this I need a room that will also accommodate a desk & bedroom furnishing (I come with my own). In the evening sometime I will side hustle and work on some freelance projects or blogger stuff. I like to be friends with the people I live with so I’d hope we’d catch up every now and again and share a dinner or drink from time to time, I can make a pretty good esspresso martini. I would prefer to live with females. Enough about me, what’s in it for you? I grantee that I will pay my bills on time, I will clean up and I will be respectful of our home and your space. Move in date..? I am not in a rush. I will need to give notice so give me a few weeks/month to get everything in line.
Hello! I am Deb. I am travelling from the UK and am looking for like-minded people to live with in Melbourne on a short-term basis (up to 4 months). I can be quite the friendly person, even more so when I get to know you, but I do appreciate my own space and time on regular occasions, so will definitely respect yours. I like the simple things in life, such as a good read, a good bed and damn good food! I'm the curious type so will try new things (as long as it doesn't involve dipping my head in water!) Having studied Applied Zoology and university, I have a strong interest in the natural world and its conservation, which I extend into my daily life where possible, be that with my diet or spending time in different outdoor places. I plan on getting a part-time job when I arrive as I like to keep busy. As for what I am like to live with? I believe consideration of others is key!! No unplanned parties and no messy shared facilities (e.g. washing up left to next evening, not doing share of kitchen/bathroom cleaning). I don't smoke so would really appreciate smokers to be inclined to smoke outside. I would prefer to live with vegetarians or vegans but that isn't a rule (is more to keep me on the wagon than anything else!!) I look forward to meeting you!
Hi, I have been living in Melbourne for the last 4 months in Fitzroy before relocating to St Kilda, where I currently work. I work in hospitality. I have studied in environmental and sustainability areas previously. I like to cook, exercise and drink the odd time. I have many interests but overall I'd like to think I'd be a nice respectful and gracious housemate! Looking forward to meet you : )
Hi there, I'm Maddi. I have been living in the same share house for the past four years which is coming to an end in April, due to my housemates moving interstate. Its sad, but I wish my counterparts all the best for their futures endeavours I try not to take life to seriously. I am looking for a place that I can call my home, a safe place to listen, laugh, share stories and the occasional meal. A place where we all respect our home, each other's space and individuality. I pay my bill and rent on time. I am house trained (Yay) Don't hesitate to drop a line or two if you are passing by. I would love to say Hello! Please consider me as your newest friendly family member.
Hello, I'm looking for a place to live... Now that I got out of the way, I'm a full time hospo worker, not a crackpot, meets the common expectation of cleanliness, respect for one's conversation boundaries, paying rent and bills on time and such. I'm introverted by nature, but by no means a hermit. I like getting together with housemates over a few rounds of Cards Against Humanity and some grub every now and again, but I do value my time to myself. I lean left on the political spectrum, and voted Greens (I generally don't feel the need to advertise that, but I'd rather not live with someone who I'm just going to constantly argue with). I like things too, things like pro wrestling, ice hockey, The Simpsons, politics, making a pun out of every not so serious conversation, creepy and surreal stuff, as well as chilling with my dog. Speaking of dog, Ro's a very affectionate, very deaf, well trained and behaved border collie that gets on with other cats and dogs. I shouldn't have to state what should be obvious, but now isn't thanks to people being jerks, which is that I'm a responsible pet owner too. Meaning I actually look after her, walk her daily, and don't expect housemates to. Love, Perry.
Hey there, My names Taneesha and I'm 18 years old. I'm currently a full time student studying a Batchelor of music performance in South Melbourne! I currently live 2 hours away from my uni and really need to find somewhere a little bit closer :) I am young, BUT I have been living independently for the last 2 years. I love music, animals and I'm a very social person!
Hi mates, we're a young married couple from Venezuela who are looking for a nice place to live. We're very friendly, tidy, and clean. We enjoy movies and cook.
I'm very clean, prefer to live in a place with someone with mutual interests. I enjoy yoga, aerial fitness, home cooking, going for brunch, drinking wine and cocktails! I also love pizza, fried chicken and Netflix :)
I'm 29 and work full time as a venue manager of a Mexican restaurant based in Fitzroy. Most of my time is spent at work so I just need somewhere to lay my head and freshen up. I'm easy to get along with and always keep others in mind. I am clean and keep to myself. I am look at medium term stay. Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any other questions. Thanks in advance. Moses
Hello! Currently working as a research scientist in Parkville. Our house is being demolished and turned into apartments :( I'm looking for a room from Late April until my contract expires at the end of the year. I'm sociable, with a 4 screen netflix account, a subscription to Time Magazine and New Scientist. Look forward to hearing from you, Alexis.
Hello there :) I am a 30 years old, PhD student at The University of Melbourne and I am based at The Royal Children Hospital to do my studies. I was born in Italy and lived there until 4 years ago. Then Melbourne captured me with its sunsets, stunning views and multicultural&funky vibe. I am looking for share housemates who are open, respectful, friendly and don't need all the time to do things together to feel they have a good vibe in the house. I can offer the same in exchange. I want a cosy place that will feel like home _a place where I can relax and get rid of the PhD&life stresses. Don't mind if you do parties or have friends over and I hope I may be able to invite few friends over, too (I like to host small pizza party - i have an electric oven which simulates a woodfired oven ;) ). However, I am not up for a constant party house. I like people and i usually get along with others easily if things are communicate openly. I want to leave in a decent and clean space. I am happy to participate in a cleaning roster (actually i would prefer that so no need to argue about who did the bathroom last time ;) ). Things that makes me happy... hang out in parks, having long skype calls with my family&friends, doing yoga, exercising, going to markets or second hand shops, going to the Abbotsford Convent, cooking and baking, talking about science and philosophy (don't worry not too heavy stuff!), art galleries wondering. I am Pescis if this matters ;)
I have been told im a Great Cook and im clean and tidy and respectful. Also a social person love going out for dinners and coffees and catching up with friends. Not a party animal though.
Hi I'm Jo and I'm a 37 yr old female originally from NZ. I've been living in Melbourne for 3 years after a couple of years overseas. I work in communications and would be happy to live in quite a few areas of Melbourne (see my extensive list). I'm looking for a place where the flatmates are close in age to me (30+) are friendly and have a good sense of humour. Me: um well I like travel, the arts, music, telly, film, gigs and trying different bars, restaurants and cafes. It's fair to say I'm reasonably obsessed with food but I'll apparently never win my foodie stripes due to my respect for the Colonel's 3 piece box set. I really enjoy exploring Melbourne's neighbourhoods and the wider region, and am always up for day trips or organising them. I have a bike that will be used one day. I'm sociable and like chatting with flatmates, particularly over a drink, and sharing the odd meal. I've been flat sharing for years and am tidy, clean, do my bit around the house, respect others space and always pay bills and rent on time. Looking for a place that is homely and looked after. Happy to live with people from all different backgrounds/cultures/interests. Thanks! Note: I put above that I'd be keen on a place for 6 months but willing to commit to a year for the right home/location.
Hey there! Myself and my boyfriend Paul are both from Ireland and have just arrived into Australia on a working holiday visa. We hope to get set up with jobs and experience what Melbourne has to offer! We are ideally looking for a place to settle close to the CBD (or with easy access). We are both very easygoing (as the Irish generally are!), sociable and tidy. We would love to find roommates who enjoy chats after work or a few Friday night beverages! :-) Let me know if you have a room suitable for a friendly Irish pair!
Canadian Couple in Aus! Love to cook and play games. We have a roaring board game collection that we love to share with new friends. We've been here 2 years and are currently waiting to hear back if our next visa application has been accepted. Looking for short term accommodation until we can commit to long term housing or move on to our next adventure. Hope to share some of our time here with you!
Very clean and tidy, friendly, respectful, considerate, generous, sociable, open-minded and easygoing.
Im transgender - fully out and living as a woman im super chill and easy going I work full time on night shift at a call center but im a heavy sleeper so no need to tiptoe around me. Im 38 but look and act 28 😉 I'm mature and clean I've had tons of share experience and a perfect rental history through agents. I love makeup, I present and sell it online as a casual money earner. I'm a totally sane and reasonable person and expect the same of prospective roommates. I have an overly large wig collection 😁 I'm extremely easy going it's rare that anything will upset me (besides annoying callers at work) I'm a smoker (rollies only, tailor mades stink) I come with a beautiful bengal cross kitty named Opie he is an indoor only cat and very friendly I will of course take full responsibility of him and his litter box cleaned constantly. I won't live with any hard drug users ice included - weed excluded 😉 (I'm not a heavy smoker at all but I sometimes enjoy a toke) Im coming from my own fully furnished house so I need a decent sized room to fit stuff in. (If you need any household items let me know otherwise I'm selling most of what I have.) Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you'll consider me as a prospective housemate and hopefully friend. Love Danika
Hey Folks! I am new to Melbourne from the US and am so excited to see what the city has to offer! I am a business consultant by profession and am getting a graduate degree from Monash University. I can be pretty talkative or quiet, that really depends on the day and whats appropriate in the moment. I love to cook. I tend to cook on the healthy side, with rare not so healthy treats every now and then. Food is one of my passions! I am into psychology, new age spirituality and at the same time, love having a good time at a bar and/or club and catching a band at a local live music venue. Not sure what else to say, but I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have, so shoot me a message! -Michael
