$350/week51 year old female

Hello, I'm Catherine. I'm friendly, easy going and fun, with a positive attitude. A creative at heart, I work as an account director in a graphic design agency, regular hours, with the odd late night. Like many, currently working from home, which may extend 1-2 days, post lockdown, to stagger those in the studio. During the week I enjoy a walk or dance class after work, down time at home and the occasional dinner out. On the weekends I'm out walking the tan, hanging out in the gardens, brunch and dinner with friends and family. All balanced with relaxing at home with a great book or movie and the odd attempt at meditation. I'm very respectful of each others privacy and the need for personal space, but more than happy to chat over coffee or a glass of vino and share the occasional meal together. Nothing better than getting out enjoying Melbourne's food and wine culture, but every once in a while, I'll have a friend or two over to indulge at home. Naturally, would check ok with my flatmate and open to doing something together. Hello red wine, antipasto and cheese platter! I'm very positive, considerate and mindful of others. I value open, honest and friendly communication. I have an active lifestyle, but enjoy a sense of peace and calm at home. I'm house proud and love a well presented home, uncluttered, clean and tidy. I'm looking to create a warm, friendly and respectful home environment with one other, who values the same. I'd love to team up with someone to find the perfect place, or move into an existing home where I can bring some of my things. I have some furniture, artwork and homewares, a contemporary, minimalist style. I also have full kitchen, fridge, washing machine and dryer, but happy to put things in storage, if not needed. It's all about finding the perfect place to call home. I'm currently on a monthly lease, so open to dates from August. I look forward to connecting with you!

$130/week35 year old female

Hello! Note: I will only consider rent at $130 per week or less and in areas I've specified. People keep messaging me with unsuitable properties so this should save some time! I'm flexible with move in dates. I'm from the UK. I've lived in Melbourne for about 8 years, in Brunswick for 3 years, and have rented since I was 19 years old so I am very well house-trained. However, the beautiful old house I'm currently renting is up for sale so need a new place to call home. I'm looking to find the right people to live with for the long-term. The house sale is put on hold due to COVID19 but it will happen sooner or later which is why I'm looking. I work in tech for a non-profit health organisation and I also freelance as a tutor/editor. In my spare time, I volunteer as a hike guide, help run wellness workshops and meditation retreats and volunteer at Buddhist centres, so I keep myself quite busy. I am an expat from the UK with Asian roots and in the process of becoming an Australian citizen. Looking to find a place I can call home. What I'm looking for: a peaceful, comfy and relaxing home where everyone communicates, gets on well, has some sort of tidiness and don't mind a good chat in the evenings. Ideally, would love it if we all got on like a family, are within a similar age group (I'm in my late 30s), happy to do things together as a house but also have their own independence. I'm not really into late night parties. I prefer chilled evenings or the odd BBQ/dinner party with board games. I'm a good communicator and mature as well as a good listener and a team player. Have lived in rental houses for over 20 years. Prefer to stay with non-smokers, no heavy drinkers and a drug-free home. I always pay bills on time and a clean/tidy person who cleans up after herself. So no problems with tidiness or cleanliness. Interests and hobbies: I am an outdoor adventure enthusiast, love all things hiking and camping, an active volunteer, meditation retreats and wellness workshops in Australia and sometimes trek overseas. I practise daily yoga and meditation. I like gardening and growing edible things in the garden, cooking all my meals, baking gluten-free/sugar-free/vegan delights and sourdough bread, sprouting alfalfa and pea shoots type of lady, love my healthy eating, (trying to) write a few books, reading lots of books on self-development/psychotherapy/wellness/psychology/medicine, and probably more stuff.
