My name is Vanessa I am a 35 yo Australian female, born and raised in the Illawarra. I will be working for a local bush regen and threatened species support enviro company, Monday to Friday. If it matters am vegan for spiritual reasons, but do not mind at all if people around me are not. I am not religious but I am spiritual, I am fascinated by energy, the planet...I guess this is what drew me to work with the environment. I used to volunteer with a local Koala Conservation Project not too far from Wollongong. I will be travelling to India, 31st January 2020 until 29th February 2020, studying 200hr yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. I love Yoga, Meditation, Reading and Hiking; I often part-take in yoga classes, meditation groups and workshops, spiritual workshops or retreats. I would very much like outdoor adventure activities like hiking/camping to become a bigger part of my life. I have been a member of hiking clubs in the past, a history of dancing although that is all done a dusted with but I find I get that same buzz when I practice yoga. I used to watch sport and be a little more sport oriented when I was younger but that has fizzled out as I have gotten older. If you need to know any more about me, please feel free to ask.
Hi! I’m Megan. I’m transferring to UOW next year to study social work. Moving out from the Blue Mountains and looking for fun flat mates! I’m outdoorsy and like to go out as well as stay in and chill. :)
Hey, I'm 29 years old, I'm pretty easy going and like to keep things tidy. Enjoy the gym, fishing trips most weekends, and love animals so shouldn't be a problem. Work locally fulltime. Looking for a teamup in the Wollongong area. Budget $250-$300 with 1-2 other flatmates. Preferably would like my own bathroom which I'm willing to pay more for. Move date is from now till the deadline which is mid Jan.
I've recently moved back to NSW to be closer to family and am looking for a lovely little home or to create one, either in a bush setting or by the sea (or even both!) I've been travelling and living overseas for the past 8 years but have decided it's time to grow some roots here in Australia. I love circus, dance, growing food and enjoying life as much as possible. I would like to do all of these things in my new home and in the wider community. I teach different movement modes like pilates and circus, study community services, and also do support work. I like to keep busy and come home to a sociable, loving household where dinner and stories and laughs are often shared, and where everyone's down time is respected too. I am looking to share with like minded people who choose to live as a collective as opposed to sharing for convenience. I'm currently living in the Kiama area but am looking to move north of Wollongong to be closer to creative and fun things. I can move any time in the new year but would prefer to find the perfect home (and give my lovely housemate as much notice as possible) so am in no huge rush. If I sound like your new housemate or if you want to create a beautiful space together then i look forward to chatting!
I'm a lawyer who is leaving the law and moving to Wollongong to make a triumphant return to full time study and undertake a drastic career change - studying med at UoW. Get amongst it. I'm 29 and past my grungy student house phase, so am looking for similarly aged house mates to share a relaxed and comfortable home with. I love a cozy home environment, ponder: veggie garden, dinner parties, a red vino and a good ol' post-day debrief, a fire pit in the back yard, chuck some fairy lights on it all, a cheeky trip to the pub/life time goal of becoming a regular at the local. I love travelling, reading, food, camping and gettin amongst nature, beach weekends, and music. I like a mix of hermit life and socialising. I'll be getting my head around studying full time again but Wollongong will be a new place for me and I'm looking to meet some genuine gem people and do some exploring. I've lived in share houses for over a decade, and am a good housemate. I am considerate of others, pay bills on time, clean up after myself, and keep shared spaces tidy. I like to share a meal/netflix/bev with house mates and like to feel comfortable and relaxed in my home environment. I'm respectful of people's differences and mindful of other's needs.
*I’m looking for an upgrade from my own 2 bedroom apartment that I’ve been renting. Independent, honestly quiet, respectful, reliable with rent, expect to pay bond, familiar with receipts and double-ledger accounting. Familiar with legal tenancy, additional occupant, strata bylaws, body corporate etc. I’ve got a legitimate good rental history. Barely drink, only social, and never to excess. Genuine non-smoker (not even Marijuana), don’t touch drugs doesn’t interest me, as I’ve grown out of the party scene & my friends classify me as 'straight edge'. Previously been an Airbnb superhost, I’ve seen it all, and there’s a reason why my budget and expectations for a property are higher, 'Quality not quantity'. I have an eye for detail, cleanliness, and maintenance, I won't disrespect or damage your property as I want to be comfortable in addition to receiving my bond back end of lease. I learned maturity and necessity for domestic duties from 16 & in the military (Army). I study a bachelor of Nursing at UOW, and spend majority of my time away from the house. I’m also a dog walker for a Siberian Husky, so I can live with and know how to handle and look after animals. I notice a lot of flatmates bullshit you, tell you after they move in they have a freeloader partner or friends always dropping in, you’ll never find another one like them, are alcoholics or immature, and don’t pay rent or bond on-time... well I’m in a strong position to say I’m unique. I’ve seen every walk of life, I have empathy for people’s plight, no empathy for the tight arse who wants everything for nothing type, but I steer clear of strife, and hanging with the wrong crowd. I’m looking for peace and quiet comfort, I’ve lived life, I dislike dishonesty and discomfort. I have no preference for male or female flatmates, I’ve lived with both, as long as the place is kept hygienic, not disturbing anyones peace, I'm only there to sleep (occasionally socialising when you want to meet, or share meals/eat). I’m not wanting to move in with the intent to pickup, I have alot on my plate. Believe it or not I’m a comfortable single straight cis male, with no hang ups, ex-wives, kids or a need beyond decent, respectful good company and my apparently ‘boomer’, or polar-opposite wild friends which I will keep to the bare minimum (self inflicted excessive partying is not my thing... that's why they love me, token sensible one). Definitely not pc, neither am I naive, so much so I’ve been trusted in some very interesting private circles, nothing illegal, I’m just very empathetic and easy to get along with. So as you can see I’m upfront enough not to play games with flatmates.
Hello, My name is Kano. I am an exchange student from Japan. My interests are watching sports and going hiking. I am a very easy-going person to live with, so I think I would make a good roommate.
Hi. I'm from Melbourne but moving to Wollongong to study Health science at UOW in 2020. Looking for other people interested in moving into a sharehouse. I'm friendly, easygoing and respect others' space. I'm not a big party person but enjoy socialising and keen to make new friends. I'm pretty outdoorsy and sport obsessed but I'm also a bit of a nerd as well. Would ideally like to be close to campus and the beach.
Hey I'm Jess, looking for team ups or a single room with own bathroom in the Wollongong area! I am currently working two jobs & doing an internship, whilst working on my own music and studying online. I’m a super clean person, love cooking pasta & enjoy a few cheeky reds :)
Positive, open minded and respectful approach to shared living , mature aged freelance artist and student , I have a fixed income and looking for some like minded folks to share with. LGBT+ friendly and progressive, I enjoy a good movie or tv series , occasional Sunday session or late night glass of wine, bit of casual gaming and also quiet time . Pretty balanced lifestyle, I’m a theatre student looking at postgrad options for next year. I bake a pretty solid choc brownie and also dabble in amateur cheffery. Food and drink, good conversation and entertainment- really it’s the secret to a happy life :)
