I am born and bred in Canberra. I am looking for a place to reside until around June/July of this year when I plan to move to Melbourne for school. I am extremely clean, cannot stand mess, clutter or dirtiness. I have already lived in a share house once before and it was definitely for me. I really love my own down time, but I am always willing to have a chat and hangout. I have absolutely no problem with smokers. I'm not much of a sharer or food if I'm being honest; grew up with 3 siblings, so like my food and my space. I am a big socialiser and love a fun night out drinking and dancing. I am currently working in hospitality, pretty much all early morning/daytime shifts. I would love a cruisy place to live, but am very, very big on being clean and tidy.
24 years old, final year economics and science student at ANU. I'm looking for a place to finish my degree after going abroad and working in Sydney last year. I think I’m pretty relaxed and easy going, looking for a friendly sharehouse. I'm always up for a beer or house dinner, but overall i'll be fairly focused on finishing my degree. At the same time i can be relied on to pick up my share of housework and bills. I have share housed before and can provide references from housemates and rental agencies. I can also provide records of passing house inspections with no issues at previous properties. Hit me up! i'm looking to move in somewhere ASAP so super keen to have a chat and check a few properties out
My name is Gabi and I am a third year international relations and development studies student at the ANU. I love going to see live gigs, camping, being at the beach, politics and the odd bevvy. I'm generally super laid back, clean up after myself, enjoy socializing, meeting new people and learning new things! I would like to live with people I enjoy hanging out with but am also comfy with having my own space.
We are a warm and friendly Filipino couple with a little girl (2 years old). I am an Architect by profession and my wife is a Document Controller. We are planning to migrate to Canberra in around April 2017 and we are looking for a sharing room to rent as we hopefully prepare to start a wonderful life in Canberra.
Hi, I'm Rob. I just landed a job working on a govt contract and am looking at moving down to Canberra from Sydney on 11/12 March (pretty flexible with an earlier date though). A bit about me… I’m 31, originally from Melbourne, gay, enjoy hiking, politics, the arts. Usually spend weeknights at the gym or chilling, and then look to get out and about on the weekends. Have lived in share houses for the past decade, each for 2-3 years. I consider myself an easy-going and respectful housemate. Happy to come down to Canberra to view / meet.
Hi! I'm Ash, I'm a 23 year old medical student and am moving to Canberra for the year to complete an honours year in medical research at Canberra Hospital. I love being outdoors, and enjoy going running, hiking, cycling, cross country skiing (I'm an instructor and would be happy to teach you how to ski!), swimming and more, and also love music, playing piano, guitar and singing (but not in front of anyone). I am a tidy, clean and respectful housemate, and love getting together for group meals when possible and chatting.
Post grad at ANU and visual Artist... fitness and good food... good cooking... and clever living. mature age 30+something student.. lived in sharehouses before.. pretty chill at home.. into occasional communal activities and very tidy ;->.
Hey! I'm moving from Sydney to Canberra towards the end of Feb for work and am hoping to find a roommate. I have just graduated from UNSW. I have experience with shared accommodation so am mindful of other peoples privacy, and am a clean and tidy person. I enjoy being active (hikes, jogs), reading and cooking. Since I'm new to the city, I am hoping to team up with someone who is interested in being friends as well :) I'm not a big party person, however I do enjoy a glass of red at the end of the day whilst I'm cooking and listening to music in the kitchen- unfortunately I am a terrible dancer and this will generally surface around this time. Preferably, I'd like to live with only one other person but am open to more if it suits. Please hit me up if I sound like someone you'd be interested in living with.
I work in property, am quiet and keep to myself most of the time but do love an occasional chat over food. I am clean and respectful of people's space. My interests include cooking, poetry and Netflix. Can someone also teach me to play drums or box?
I'm a 26 year old female student from Amsterdam, currently on exchange at ANU. I'm clean and sociable, I like cooking, and I'm big on arts & culture, so I'm hoping to explore everything that Canberra has to offer during my stay here! I have no allergies, I'm great with pets, and I'm overall a very easy-going person. I accidentally took five gap years between high school and uni, spent quite a few years in Berlin, Melbourne and England, and am now dedicating my time to (political) philosophy, sociology and art theory (feel free to mock the uselessness of my degree).
I'm working full time as a management consultant in PWC. I'm chill and sporty. I've travelled Asia, Europe and Africa and would love to meet travellers alike. I'm a clean freak that I might sometimes clean the house so others don't have to.
Hi all! I originate from Melbourne but have been in Canberra for the last few years. I'm starting a grad job at the end of Feb and am looking to share with another roommate a place in the inner north. I'm a non-smoker so would prefer to not live with other smokers. I'm tidy and firmly believe in keeping common areas clean. During the week I'm looking for a quiet home to come home to but will likely go out and be active on the weekends. I respect the privacy of others but I will be happy to catch up over some wine. I love traveling, cooking and my guilty pleasure is endless Netflix! My moving date is flexible, so message me!
Hi there! I’m Bec, a 26 year old APS grad from Queensland. I moved to Canberra in January and have been staying with a friend temporarily while I look for somewhere permanent. I am hoping to not have to move too far away from the city as I have family that live in Braddon and I work in Civic. I am looking for a room that is unfurnished as I have my own queen bed. I also have a dual cab Toyota Hilux so off street/underground parking would be preferred. My budget is $250 per week and I can pay a bond of 6 weeks in advance. I like my own space but also enjoy a glass of wine or dinner with friends at the end of the week. I like pretty much all sport but am a lifelong tragic Broncos fan, if I sound like someone you could live with please flick me a message :) Talk soon! Bec
I'm from Brisbane originally but have spent the last few years living in China. Moved down to Canberra for post-grad study at ANU. I've lived in many share houses before and have always got along with my house mates. I'm a clean and conscientious tenant who respects house rules/tenants preferences. Easy-going and relaxed. In terms of hobbies, don't mind the occasional beer down at the pub but also like to keep healthy. Spend a good deal of my time reading for both study and leisure.
I'm a mature male currently doing my PhD at the ANU. Originally from Bali. Been lived in Melbourne for three years and been lived in a share accomodation before. I'm sociable but love some privacy as well. Occasionally drink during the weekend and having a small chat would be great.
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
I'm a very friendly and easygoing 26 year old, working full time Monday-Friday. I like to live in a clean and tidy place, I clean up after myself and happy to share chores/housework. I always keep my rent and bills up to date and paid on time. I enjoy being social with housemates but at the same time, I respect housemates space and privacy to do their own thing and also appreciate my own. I don't have a preference for housemates gender. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and baking, getting fit, good food, drinks, music and getting out and about - but also sometimes just relaxing at home with a netflix binge! I have no problem with housemates having friends/guests/partners etc visiting and staying however I'm not into 'party' houses and don't host parties. Overall, I am looking to live in a nice, tidy and relaxed place with someone friendly who shares similar interests :) Please get in touch if you'd like to chat more :) My moving date is also flexible.
I'm a mid-twenties recent graduate - just finished up my masters at ANU and looking for work in the public service. I'm working in hospitality in the meantime. I'm relatively new to Canberra and moved here from Adelaide at the start of my degree. I play basketball 3-4 days a week and am fairly social on weekends - prefer a casual drink at home/the pub but don't mind the odd outing. I try to keep myself fairly busy. Looking for a place with friendly people who are down for a chat every now and then. I am respectful of space and just as happy quietly reading as I am watching television/cooking with room mates.
I'm a qualified chef but prefer to work out the front in bars making cocktails at Akiba. Originally from Albury but have spent a long time working in Canberra within the hospo scene. I spend most of my spare time eating out or chilling out to a movie when I'm not working. Looking for a place ASAP
Hey there, my name's Ajit, I'm a Melburnian who'll soon be moving to Canberra (around February 11-12) to begin a Masters degree at ANU. I'm looking for a place to stay during my degree (up to February 2018 preferred). I'm a clean and friendly tenant who's respectful of one's space and privacy. I can keep my room in a bit of a clutter, but I'm quite aware of cleaning up after myself in shared areas, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. As a student, I'll be studying at uni mostly but will also spend time studying at home and working part time on the side (as an uber driver/hospo). I'm an average cook and do enjoy cooking for myself, but am also happy to share a meal now and then. Also enjoy a bit of banter after uni/work. I haven't moved out of Melbourne before so I'm keen to make new friends. If you're interested, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you :).
Hi I am James! I am 21 years old and study science at ANU. For the past year I have been travelling through various countries in SE Asia and Europe. I love to cook and like to share my dishes with others. Bartender by trade so I know how to make some killer cocktails. Not a big party-goer but do enjoy going out now and again for drinks and billiards. Always up for a chat over dinner/drinks but also respectful of others space. I'm an easy going person who is tidy and reliable. Looking for a place in the inner north. Let me know if you're interested :)
Hello!! I'm looking for a room in North Canberra. I work full time as a public servant in the cultural sector and study part time at ANU (art history + curatorship). I have a particular love for film and live music and sew often. I am tidy and respectful of others' space but am also looking for some fun housemates. I'm keen for a backyard so that I can garden and keep a compost bin. I may be young but I've been living independently for a year and have share house experience.
I like cosy spaces and inspiring environments and I am most at ease when in nature and/or with good company. As for domestic-me, I like tidy areas and I clean up after myself to make the home clean and enjoyable for others. I'm from Orange, NSW but have been living in Sydney for the last year. It will be sad to make the move away from the beach but I am coming to Canberra to study at ANU, ready for a new chapter in my life. My boyfriend and I like to travel and explore around the coast on our days off, and we both enjoy a good cup of tea.
I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney to work (full-time) at ANU for a year, beginning early March. I'm originally from Melbourne, and have lived in a couple of sharehouses. I'm pretty easy going and always keep communal areas tidy. I generally prefer to keep to myself but don't mind being social. I have a bunch of kitchenware and a tv, but unfortunately I've sold all my appliances. I'm hoping to share with just one, possibly two, other people.
Moved to australia a couple of years ago and I am looking for a nice sharehouse with cool people. I work as an in an electronics factory doing electrical testing, I don't smoke and don't listen to music without my headphones on so don't worry about being woken up in the middle of the night.I'm a really easy going, tidy, a little bit OCD about cleanliness. Don't hesitate to ask any question you may have.
Im a 22 year old, easy-going chilled out dude. 5th year law student, Enjoy: Cheeky bev or 2, good movies and am also massive hummus lover - can guarantee I will keep the house well supplied! Got furniture, tv and cooking equipment - hit me up!
Hello! I will be moving to Canberra for work and am looking at finding share accommodation with some like-minded individuals. I'm a 23 year old environmental scientist who loves the outdoors. I like to keep active (swim, bike, run, gym), and on my weekends will likely be rock-climbing, mountain biking, kayaking or trying not to fall on my face learning how to snowboard. If you think I'd be a good fit, feel free to shoot me a message!
My partner and I are looking for a household close to ANU, where I study Environmental sciences, and my partner studies mathematics, both in our final year. We plan to stay around in Canberra after we finish up uni to pursue jobs in the public service and academia. Previously, we have been living in a shared Unilodge apartment. We aren't fussy about size as we have lived in small areas before without issues.
Im Amy, I'm 21 years old and about to start my third year at the ANU (: I'm looking for a laid-back but tidy house, and would love to be living with people who are happy to be mates and have a chat, come on a coast-trip or to accompany me on a late-night Kmart run. Obviously though time alone is also super important and I am understanding and respectful of that. I'm completely happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to send me a message any time (:
Hi, I’m Stef. I’m a third year Economics/Arts student at ANU, and I’m looking for housemates who are social and easy-going, but also appreciate the need for down time. I love being around people, and am always down for a chat, a movie, or an impromptu adventure. I’m a pretty good cook, and enjoy sharing food with other people. I am a firm believer in unwinding over a glass of wine or gin, despite being a wine enthusiast on a student budget. I prefer things being tidy, though not obsessively so, but I’ll always do my share of the housework. I love bushwalking and being outside, however the sunscreen is never far away (RIP). My sense of humour can largely be explained by Monty Python, Blackadder, etc., and I am a shameless banterer. My procrastination from study takes many forms, from making fresh pasta or baking bread to Netflix marathons. When I’m stressed, I’m usually quieter, but I’m pretty self-contained and I try not to let it have an impact on other people. I generally avoid confrontation at all costs, but I will call something out if I think it needs to be said. While I love having friends around, and enjoy being generous with my own space, I’m pretty flexible as to the needs of other flatmates. I also come with a wealth of useless movie quotes, an unending enthusiasm for brunch, Hamilton, and facts stolen from episodes of QI or niche periods of history. If you think we would get along well, shoot me a message, and I can’t wait to meet you!
I've just moved from Sydney to Canberra to study at ANU this year, and am currently staying with family while I look for accommodation. I'm ready to move now but am flexible with my moving date. I'm a pretty mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am always up to attend live games/watch matches on telly. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
Hey guys, I am a young professional who has just moved to Canberra from Sydney. I respect if you want personal space but I am down for the occasional banter, dinner outside or playing some sports during the week. Most weekends I expect to be in Sydney.
I'm a super chill person who gets along with nearly anyone! I'd be a reliable housemate who loves to cook, clean, go for hikes and would bring home a lot of pizza/snacks (I work at Dominos). Ideally I want to become mates with the people I live with!
Hey! I am Kelly, I just came to Canberra one week ago and I am looking for a share-house or apartment near Canberra City. I am currently studying Master degree at ANU. I am a easy-going and tidy person. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Hey! I'm Aimie, I lived and studied in Canberra for 4 years, currently living in Sydney, looking to move back to Canberra for a short term rental before I head overseas at the end of April! Easy going, happy to have a few beers and watch tv as a house family, or let you have your privacy if you prefer. Let me know if you have anything available, happy to fill in a room for 6-8 weeks to help with bills while you look for a permanent roommate! Thanks :)
I work FT in science communication, looking for one or more friendly & clean girls to find an inner-city place with a backyard. I have a full house worth of furniture looking for a home. I'd like to live with a female, non-smoker, someone relatively quiet at home, clean & tidy who works FT and is keen to chill out with a wine/ dinner/ lame rom-com every now and then. Looking to find myself an ensuite room because I have a lot of furniture/ impulse control issues when shopping. I'd love a place near the city if possible with a backyard so that I could buy a dog in the future 😊 In my spare time I love adventuring, art, the markets, running and hiking!
I'm Jared, a friendly, respectful, tidy and fun 25 year old environmental science student working fulltime in the public service. I am looking for a room to rent and a new place to call home, in a reasonably central location. I lead a reasonably active and social lifestyle, playing sport, cycling and hiking. I like hanging out around the house/going out for coffee and having a yarn. I am very interested to team up, as I've meet another great person. We're both looking for a third person to find a place with. If you'd like to learn more, don't hesitate to send me a message. Cheers
Hi there, I am a post-graduate student at ANU who has just moved from Sydney. I am a very clean and courteous person looking for friendly housemates! Looking for furnished room. I study most nights and am getting work in the day so wont be there often. Hope to meet you soon!
Hey guys, My partner and I are looking for accommodation from around mid february. I'm Laearna, a 24 yr old mechanical engineer relocating for work and Will is a 24 yr old naval architect who i am dragging along with me. He who works remotely for a company in NZ. We are friendly people who like to laugh, get outdoors for adventures, spend nights out with friends or stay in with a drink cooking up something delicious. We are clean, respectful and easygoing housemates and have both lived together and in share houses before. We would ideally like to team up with another couple or some friends and find a place to lease together but would also happily slip into an existing share house if someone was willing to take us. Please get in touch if you think we would get along :)
I'm a 29 year-old public servant and part-time student who's been living in Canberra a year so far. I've had about 8 years experience living in sharehouses so far. I'm neat, and a great fan of cooking (for both myself and housemates), I love music, and the occasional bottle of wine, beer, and gig. I'm happy to socialise, but also very conscious of people's personal space and very happy to keep to myself if necessary.
21, fourth year of Law/Science/Languages at ANU. Work part-time and on a generous scholarship. Very independent and super busy, but still keen to socialise with new housemates! Very tidy, extremely reliable and highly organised (especially when it comes to finances). Not a bad cook, proactive about getting stuff done around the house, and an all-round decent person. Looking to move in somewhere ASAP!
Hi. I'm Sarah. I'm 21 years old, and I'm looking for like-minded people to live with. I am a chill, friendly, easy-going person to live with. I am tidy, respectful and I enjoy a good household hang out. I am a musician (flute, piano, guitar and vocals), and I love attending live gigs wherever possible. I also really enjoy cooking (for myself and for others). I love films, pop culture and reading. I spend a lot of my free time reading, or watching Netflix. I am a newly converted (wannabe) gym nut. I am focusing on getting healthy and being active. I have an 8 year old White Russian cat named Milo who I would absolutely love to bring along.
Hey everyone! I'm a Law/ International Relations student at ANU, I work part time at the blood service on a contract and spend most of my spare time out with friends. I prefer clean and social room mates that are easy to get along with.
I'm a PhD student at ANU, looking for a place starting early Feb 2017. I'm a quiet and neat person who keeps fairly regular work hours (roughly 9-5) and a normal sleep schedule, happy to chat but also happy to just do my own thing. Looking for someone similar to share a place with, and I'm leaning towards public servants or postgrad students - but if you aren't one and think you still fit the bill, feel free to write me a message. In particular I would like a room with my own bathroom, located not too far from ANU (I'm thinking Acton, Braddon, Turner, O'Connor, Reid, Barton, Kingston - in that order of priority), and preferably with just one or two other housemates.
Hie, I am an international student and will be studying at Australian National University. I'm an easy person to stay with. I love talking to people and get to know them. Also, I cook decent food and will keep the place tidy. I don't drink nor do I smoke. I look forward to find a nice place in Canberra soon. :)
Just landed a new environmental graduate role down in Canberra and looking for a fun bunch of housemates to move in with for the beginning of March 2017. My passions include, hiking, snowboarding, scuba diving and live music. I am an adventurous, easy going, polite and a tidy individual.
I am a new student who will start postgrad study in CBE, ANU. I love to meet new friends. As a full-time enrolled student, I will spend most of my time on campus during workdays. On weekends I like riding bike, hanging out with friends, listening classical and operas.
Heya! My name's Jess, I'm currently an ANU student studying Psychology and Visual Arts, working part-time. I've recently found myself having a huge Sultana bran phase, having picked up a box at half price, so if you don't find sultana bran too obnoxious I think we might get along. (My last one was weet-bix). I'm generally quite easygoing and enjoy reading/listening to music in my spare time. Will also respect your space, help you make poor/wise life choices and feed you chocolate. I'm not too fussed about anything in particular, so it'd be lovely to hear from you - thanks for stopping by. :)
Hey there! You can give my profile a click, don't be shy. Maybe you just found the best housemate ever! So why should you consider me as a flatmate? I am: •Fun •Positive •Open-minded •Clean I'm a student from Melbourne studying second-year International Relations at ANU. With sharehousing experience in the past, I can be a proactive housemate who'll take initiative to ensure everyone has good living conditions. I'm pretty cheery and someone you can chill with over a drink or meal. I'm very pet friendly; I come from a veterinarian family. I can live with people of different backgrounds, genders, ages, sexual preferences and political orientations. So if you need an adaptable, nice and enthusiastic housemate, let me know. Looking forward to sharing with you! Tanvir
Hi future flate-mate! I recently moved to Canberra to join the public service and am looking for somewhere I can hang my hat at the end of everyday. I'm generally quiet on weeknights, occupying myself by either reading, gaming or catching up on TV; and I enjoy socialising with friends on weekends. If you're looking for someone who can cook, clean, assemble furniture and fix almost any IT problem that could happen at home, then I'm your guy.
