Hello, My name is Olivia; I'm 20 years old and am currently living in the far North Coast. I am presently studying Forest Science and Management at SCU but have enrolled in electives to study Forensic Science at UC. I'm moving to Canberra in December and am looking to move into a sharehouse December/January. I'm not fussy when it comes to overall house quality and finesse. Looking for a stay time of 6 Months min, max 12-month. I'm looking to do part-time work. I have a car. I'm a clean and tidy person, non-smoker, I enjoy bouldering, the environment, and having a beer with new and exciting people. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Hi, I'm Joe! I'm in my final year of University at ANU, and am looking for a 6+ month home with like-minded people in the inner north! As well as studying, I'm working part time at DHS during the semester, with full-time hours during the breaks. For fun I love doing drama, as well as reading, and playing niche sports like quidditch and ultimate frisbee. As a flatmate I'd describe myself as friendly and conscientious. Having lived in a 5 share this past year, I'm very conscious of keeping common areas clean, and respecting the shared space. I love having a chat and hanging out, but also know how it feels like after a full day's work/study when you just want your own space. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi. I'm originally from Sydney and work in the public service. I'm looking for a place from about 27th Dec. I'd consider going long-term in the right situation. My main interest is health and well-being, I keep fit, I've studied classical yoga and am slowly heading in that life direction with some side-trips along the way. I like exploring the outdoors, mainly in the cooler months. I probably have a Netflix addiction. I'm easy to get on with and would be happy to chat about life and be a good housemate, although I'm fairly self-contained and always have something to research. Or Netflix. I've got a handful of friends in Canberra and would always be happy for more but I'd also not have any expectations about that. I take people as they come, and your home time is probably your chill time too. I can point to some references from a related website if that helps. Feel free to ask anything you like :)
From Sydney, I'm looking for a quiet place to set up within walking / cycling distance of ANU - for 6-12 months to start with, but could potentially stay longer. I've worked in the non profit sector for a few years and will be starting my postgrad in February. I'm more on the quiet side but I love a good chat. I enjoy trying my hand at cooking and gardening, and am quite active - I love football and exploring my surrounds.
Relocating to Canberra for work. Full time IT professional. Enjoys the simple things like good food, a nice stroll, reading in the sunshine, music, podcasts, puzzles, crochet and classic TV shows. Looking for a quiet place with private room, short stroll to the city and fun things
(I have a labradoodle puppy called Xisco but I am leaving him with family in Brisbane until I'm permanently settled). - Love playing and watching football/soccer, tennis, AFLW, frisbee, and almost any team sport - Outdoorsy, love a hike and my brother’s got me into rock climbing recently too - Laid back and respectful - Neat and hygenic - Love a beer garden and pub trivia - Casual/social drinker, especially with a board game, but don't binge drink/go out anymore (too old, liver too dead) - Not a reality TV fan but will watch it with mates for fun - Nonsmoker but don't mind if you do outside - 🏳️🌈and in a long-distance relationship - APS grad - Value honesty in sharehousing - Extroverted but value alone time and like to play on my PS4 to switch off - Will travel interstate to visit family occasionally - Want to explore the coast and mountains while in Canberra, as well as the live music scene - Love movies, books, podcasts
Hello, I'm Ben. I consider myself to be a fairly regular 26 year old male. Love getting along with people and open minded. Canberra born and bred. Bit of a Jack of all trades. Trying to get back into keeping active after joining the public service. Do a bit of gaming (Won't chew up too much bandwidth though). I also enjoy a drink and being social, although I'm usually the quiet one in a group. Clean and tidy around the house especially in shared areas. More of a 'clean up after myself' type rather than 'everyone has their turn' but I'm flexible and will fit in with established practices. Not much of a cook but willing to learn. Will do my fair share of housework. Would love to find a place with flat mates that appreciate a really friendly vibe. Would prefer to have a 'trial period' but would love to find the right place to stay at for longer. Cheers,
Just a decent, tidy and busy guy. Easy to get along with and working full-time in IT. Able to cook, enjoy having a clean house and like doing things with my housemates. In my spare time happy to turn my hand at anything, but you'll mostly find me at the gym or finding something to do with friends/housemates (i.e you 🤗) Come equipped with a range of whitegoods(can be chucked in storage if not needed) and other household essentials. Ready to move in anytime from now :) P.s no there is NO doggo coming with me.
Hi, I’m Ellen! I’ll be moving down to Canberra from Brisbane in February, 2020, for an APS position. I’ve recently returned home to Australia after living/working/studying in the US for the past 10 years, and I’m excited to start this next chapter in Canberra. I would love to fill a spot in a friendly shared house or apartment, or find 1-2 people to team up with and find the perfect place. I’ve lived in shared houses and apartments for the past 10 years, so I understand the importance of being clean, considerate, respectful, and willing to chip in with chores/shared responsibilities. I’m ideally looking for a friendly, chill, and comfortable place to come home to after work in the evenings. While I understand and respect everyone’s need for privacy and quiet time, I would love to find a housemate who would be interested in the occasional wine night, house dinner, TV/movie night, or weekend activity. Since I’m new to the city, I’m looking to make friends and explore the surrounding areas. I enjoy all things outdoors – hiking, running, going to the beach. I also love to travel, read, visit museums, check out new bars/restaurants, and play recreational sports. My move-in date is somewhat flexible, as is the location, although I would prefer to live somewhere fairly central. I have a car, so I would also be looking for a covered parking space. Oh, and I’m a non-smoker; I’d prefer if my housemates were, too. Please feel free to send me a message if you think I’d be a good fit for your current home, or if you’d like to team up :)
I am a legal professional working full-time in New Acton. I am outgoing and outdoorsy but also like my space after long day at work. I am currently living in Turner but looking to move on for a room (furnished) in a clean and lively sharehouse in the inner north of Canberra from late December 2019 onwards. My Budget is up to $250 incl utilities.
