I’ve just returned to Melbourne after two years working and travelling around Canada and the America’s and currently working as an assistant retail manager in the CBD. Really easy going, I love having a wine and chat/dinner/movie night with my housemates or heading out to a gig, having a boogie or checking out a new restaurants and bars with friends just as much as spending time in my room working on my artwork. I’m clean, reliable and totally up for sharing food, costs, clothes, art supplies, whatever!
working full time. Health professional. From NZ. Quite, clean and very friendly. Looking for private room. somewhere close to public transport and within 15min drive to city. Ideally looking for an apartment or modern townhouse with 1 other person. Own bathroom preferred. Female flatmate only please.
Hi! I am a 20+ female from Malaysia and have been residing in Australia for many years, currently pursuing a Master degree in Landscape Architecture and will be working and studying in Melbourne starting next year. From my past 6 times of house sharing experience, and several times of sharing rooms at hostels, I have a reputation of being a clean, tidy, and responsible house/roommate. I speak 4 languages, namely English, Mandarin Chinese, Malay and Spanish; and I am an avid traveler. I have just done a big backpack round tour in Europe, had traveled to Japan, and did work and study in China, Ireland and Spain. I consider myself to be an open-minded and mature person, also should be fun to be with as told by my friends. I enjoy cooking and baking, which I don't mind sharing the food with my future flatmates. I am also into arts and design, photography, books, linguistic, culture and history, plants, fitness and DIY. Happy with locations within an hour public transport time distance from city center, within the public transport Zone 1 + 2, even if not listed in my "Preferred locations" section below. Please drop me a message if you think I sound like a friend-to-have / someone who should be living at your flat right now! I don't mind teaming up with like-minded people to rent a property too.
My partner Julian and I are from the US, and are looking for a place in Melbourne for 6-9 months. On our off days, we enjoy doing something creative or spending time outside. We're both very easy going and are always willing to lend a hand wherever possible. I would like someone easy going and honest as a roommate. Sweet, thank you!
Hey! I'm a warm, open minded and respectful housemate always up for a good belly laugh, house movie nights, or just chilling on my own in the hammock with a good book. Huge animal lover, so pets are a plus. Vego, but anything but preachy. Musician, but respectful of the quiet hours. Ideally I'd love to find a place with a good garden to help out in, a bath, and I'm hoping for more of a sociable, friendly household; somewhere that's not afraid to go and grab beers together sometimes, while still keeping up a healthy respect for space and privacy too. Not looking for an immediate move, but just testing out the waters, and if the shoe sounds like it fits, let me know!
Hi, we're Joe and Jack, two 22 year old friends looking for a long term place in Melbourne. We're looking for two available rooms, or a possible lease transfer. Happy to move in right away but are flexible. Both of us are arts orientated, open-minded, and social guys. Really clean and considerate in shared areas. I (Jack) have just come back to Australia after living in Tokyo for a year. This is the last year of my bachelor's degree in Japanese. I play music and do recording. Joe is currently working part-time as a landscape gardener. We're into music, films, reading, video games and gardening around the house.
I'm a relaxed, easy going guy who gets along with everyone and likes being around people. Here's a bit about myself: I've just finished off a course in nursing and want to be a mental health nurse in the future. I won't be going straight into mental health nursing. I want a break to relax and earn some money so I'll continue at my currently job, were I am already working 4-5 days a week part-time/fulltime. I enjoy socialising and having a beer with friends and new mates and also love a kickback watching some tv and having a laugh at the couples on married at first sight (this level of comedy can’t be scripted), Netflix is a close second. I'm also currently living in a share house
Clean, down to earth, relaxed and respectful. I (try!) to live a healthy lifestyle and since i grew up in the outback i love to get out into the green and go bush walking or just watch the clouds float by. I don't own a tv but i do like the occational movie or docco, pretending to play my guitar, having a hearty laugh or just chilling out. I'm studying Osteopathy at RMIT and would love a willing guineapig to practice osteo therapy (not essential of course! ) I have the privilege of sharing this life with a parrot named Jazz. She's house trained (well, ok, sort of), quiet, not screechy in the least, is a total sucker for neck rubs and has no shame in boldy investigating underneath your shirt, where she is also likely to set up camp and have a kip. I'm not on any social media, I'm a bit old fashioned, but can easily provide referees a-plenty should you wish to dig up a bit on me ;)
Heyoo! I’m Emma. 26, I work in Hospitality. I’m English, but I’ve been living in Cambodia since 2015. I’m looking for a super cheap private room in a shared house from March 1st. Vaguely in the Brunswick/Carlton area cycling distance to shops and bar’s but if its a little further out with good transport links I’m easy! My budget is $150p/w (or less, im keen on the less but will consider more if its a nextlevelcrazy good offer!). Furnished would be a big plus, but not a deal breaker. Not after anything fancy and I travel light - Compared to some of my living arrangements in Cambodia the cupboard under your stairs would be an improvement! (outbuildings/cupboards/caravans/treehouses all considered!!) Open to sharing with girls/boys/locals/backpackers/students/couples/vegetarians/pets/420/smokers etc variety is the spice of life!! I have no time for racism/sexism/homophobia/xenophobia so please noneeee o’that!!! I’m chatty and keen to meet some likeminded people in this awesome city! Occasionally a drunken liability at the weekends. I cook and clean like a proud 50’s housewife and i always remember grown up stuff like paying bills and buying toilet paper! I’m in it for the long-term and really wanna find somewhere that feels like home. Shoot me a message if you can help in any way I’m available for viewings/meet-ups/chitchat this week and ready to move in almost immediately!! :) Peace xoxox
Hey guys, Iam a full time student at Melbourne polytechnic studying photography so I'll barely be there if not deep in study. Iam a very friendly and out going who loves a good chat with a nice glass of wine. I love taking photos as much as I can and I love yoga. Iam also a very keen scuba diver who loves music aswell. I love cooking and Iam very clean. I just moved here from cairns to study photography full time at Melbourne polytechnic college in Fairfield. Iam looking for a private room that is fully furnished and not far from public transport. If ur place is still available now or by the 3rd of march I would love to have a look at ur earliest convenience.
Hey there! I’m a student of Masters in Financial Analysis at La Trobe and I work part time in the city at a pharmacy. I’m always up for a chat. I like music, arts, and movies. Looking forward to hear from ya! Ta Cheers🥂
Melbourne gal looking for a new place! I like to go to the movies, read and hang out :) Looking for some lovely people to live with, I'm happy to hang out but also happy to do my own thing. I've lived in share houses before and I'm looking for somewhere long term.
I am a 20 year old who's recently moved to Melbourne. I will be studying my Masters at La Trobe University. I am looking for a laidback, chill living space. I respect peoples private space and am quite of a neat freak.Since I am a student I’ll be spending most of my time studying, however, I am always down for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and interesting chats about the cosmos or anything interesting, really. I enjoy spending my leisure time listening to Anjunadeep music or watching Vice documentaries. I like everything cats and dogs, and am full-fledged pet person.
Hey everyone! I’m a responsible, clean, friendly musical type looking for a long term/permanent home for about 1yr+. Available to move in NOW. Read on for details! I'm a 28 year old friendly & housetrained musician, I have a steady income teaching voice, modelling, & working in events. Been renting for 11 years and never had trouble paying rent or bills. I'm super clean & tidy. I sing a lot but I'm apparently pretty good at it. (I don't mind if you sing badly though! No judgement!) I don't drink much but up for a wine now and then (I drink like 2 glasses max so I’ll ask for your help if I buy a bottle of red), I don't smoke (no indoor smoking houses please). I wanna live in a HOME, not just a house... with friendly people who have their own lives and value time alone, but also want to hang out regularly/chat at the end of the day over a meal or wine or tea and share a meal or do stuff together now and then. I'm done with houses where I hardly ever see anyone, time for a housefam vibe! Bonus points if you're musical/artsy, especially if you like funky music, and the decor style is art & houseplants. Super bonus if the house gets good sunlight…! I need somewhere off-street to chain up my little postie motorbike (garden/side path is fine). I come with hardly any furniture (so I'm looking for an already established place), but I do have a (very small, halfsize upright) piano I would love to bring, so hopefully there's a nook for it somewhere? (you are welcome to play it!) If there’s no room for it / already a piano in the house (!) I can put it in my studio, so no biggie. I'll be away for 2 months in either May/June or June/July, so you'd need to be okay with me sub-letting my room during that time (but I am very protective of my home & belongings, so you can bet your booty I'll be choosy about who comes in, and you get a say in it too of course. Usually I'd get someone I know from Tassie.) Hit me up if you think I might be a good match for your home! xox
Warm & friendly, light-hearted, responsible, fun, creative, musical artsy good vibes person. I'm a community arts worker & a face painter. I enjoy cooking at home & making tasty food to share. I’m community minded, sociable, enjoy socialising with housemates, and also love having my own space when I need it at home and thoughtfully respect those needs of others. YES to spontaneous dance breakouts in the kitchen... I love these moments!! I wish to live with 1 or 2 others, as I enjoy sharing the occasional meal, music jam, a laugh & debrief at the end of the day about levels of productivity & procrastination. My work gets me out and about for the various jobs I do, and I sometimes also work from either home or out at cafes or libraries on my laptop ... So I have a healthy mix of being in & out of the house. Ideally I'd love to have an ensuite or at least only share bathroom with one other. Walk in wardrobe would be a dream...or built ins would be great, but not essential. Close to some beautiful nature AND cafes & bars & music venues would all tick boxes for me. Also, a bit of art studio space is a need for me... for my face painting gear. Looking forward to meeting you :-)
I have a 2 year old female kelpie cross who is gentle, friendly and sensitive, she loves all people and all dogs. I'm a very respectful, healthy and outgoing 23 year old who spends most my time skateboarding, with my dog, making art/playing music and exploring nature. I used to live in Melbourne for 3 years then Hobart and am now living in Sydney, looking for a place in Melbourne's north side. I am happy to share and live communally, am stoked on gardening and sustainability, however I don't mind a paved backyard either. I work in retail and am transferring to a Melbourne store within my company so that I can be around my friends in Melbourne again and consider a uni degree in film/music/arts. I am down to garden too so if you have a veggie garden I'd be happy to contribute, i’ve done that in tassie before and volunteered on organic farms.
Hi there! We are an easy going and calm couple from Berlin. We've been living in Melbourne for the past 9 months and are looking for a place to finish our stay at. Sebastian is a visiting researcher at RMIT, pretty much all day at Uni. Anna is a freelance Illustrator and graphic designer mostly working from home. We are already quite settled so we are not looking for a party house but we enjoy hanging out with our flatmates from time to time, going to concerts, good food and art.
Hi! I'm a nurse who also teaches undergraduate students at university. I like spending my days off outside in nature. Have just returned from some hiking in Tassie! I play futsal and enjoy being active. Keen to live in a home with a community focus. Happy to help out in the garden. Very keen on wellness and I practice alternative therapies within a Melbourne clinic. Look forward to hearing from you.
I'm Ari and I'm a student at Deakin University doing my Bachelor's/Masters in Forensic Psychology. I work part time, am trying to get my own business up and running on the side and also am working on a big social media project with a team. I'm very clean and would prefer to live with someone who is on the cleaner side rather than the messier side. I'm mature, patient, understanding, trust worthy, laid back, fun, bubbly, and have a big personality. I love my social life but also love some me time. I love yoga and also dance at The Space studio on Chapel St and also at home. I have two small, very well trained and behaved red toy poodles and a Russian Blue cat (clearly an animal lover). I am looking for another female to move out with. I don't mind whether you'd want to keep to yourself of grow a friendship over our time living together but as long as your friendly. If you'd like to know more or meet up to discuss, send me a message :)
Hi! My name is Grace. I am 21 years old, queer, and vegetarian. I am clean and tidy, always pay my rent on time, respectful, and friendly. I am studying and working in Childcare. I have 4 years of share house experiences. I am looking for a queer friendly household, and housemates who are friendly and kind and are up for chats and occasional wines but also respect privacy as I need to focus on my studies. I study in the city and work in Fitzroy North, so anywhere relatively close to them both will be wonderful. Hope to hear from you! x
I'm Karen, a full-time working professional for an organisational culture management company as a risk engineering consultant and Matt is a full-time student at Victoria University. We both just moved down from Brisbane about a month ago so keen to meet new interesting people and make friends! :D We like to talk about current events and discuss them to share ideas and viewpoints while also being real goofballs and giggling over the dumbest shit. We love animals!!! So if you have a pet, no problem! I had 16 dogs at one point of my life, and Matt is a cat-cuddler professional. We're hoping to get a place that is warm and welcoming but also allow us to have our own space. Matt is very warm and happy while I can get a little bit locked up in the room playing video games to get my happy barometer up :-) We're not in a rush to move into anywhere, so we will take our time to pick a great spot but if you think you're awesome and would love to hear more about us, just let me know!
Professional violinist, music/book/arts lover, gentle soul, friendly, clean, comes with beautiful cat called Tigertail who loves being part of the gang, cuddles and food. I have a work studio in Thornbury, where I do most of my creative work but being able to practise at home sometimes is appreciated! I’m looking for a non-smoking, chilled household. I’m vegetarian but don’t mind meat around. I’m always up for a cup of tea and a chat but equally enjoy my own space. I also enjoy swimming, sort of enjoy running (but it is very convenient!) and generally being active.
Hey legends! This lil-vegan is on the (cruelty free 😜) Hunt for a place to call home 😃 Northside, around Brunswick sort of way would be great but open to explore! I come with a big smile, love for SUNSHINE, enthusiastic and bubbly energy whilst still respecting everyone space. A yogi, I like to get on the mat for a good yoga session, get out on my bike for a ride and LOVE to get creative in the kitchen and cook all sorts of things! I'm working so bills etc = stable and will also be starting up some study on the side super soon 😃 EXCITED! Always up for a chat and chill but also like to have a chance to relax after work as well. If you have pets....well this is the best possible outcome!!! hehe Look forward to hearing from you all! 🌿✌🏼
