Professional female working in the communications and marketing, looking to find a cheaper place than my current unit. I have a great sense of humour (quirky), fairly neat and tidy sort of person, good with money and enjoy films, books, and art and culture around Melbourne. Can also cook! Would like to share with a similar sort of professional female, not really into the party scene any more but wouldn't pass on a good night of wine etc. every now and again, and am dog friendly too (allergic to cats unfortunately). Like my own space, including cooking etc., but also would like to share with someone friendly to catch up on the week/day :-) I have a large-ish queen sized bed and matching sides and tallboy so would need larger room rather than smaller. Possibly 3m x 4m ish. Would also need broadband internet or availability at least for computing, Tv etc.
Hi my name is Nev Rathbone. I'm 44, gay male, pretty chilled. Grew up in the country but been in Melbs about 18 years now. Like music, tv, movies, live music, outdoors, beach, meditation, sport, AFL. Currently looking for part time work as I want to go back and study (Diploma in Counselling). Generally get along with everyone, like being around people but also like my quiet time too. 😊
Hey guys, I am looking for a room ( it's fine without bed, I got one ). Please don't too far to La trobe university cause I study in there and I don't have car. I'm friendly to pets ( except spider or snake ). I also hope that you are LGBT friendly. I'm from China. I have 4 years share house experience in Melbourne. 🤓I'm a easy going man and not a party animal. I don't drug or smoke. I always keep my room clean or tidy. Btw, I'm good on cooking. Sometimes I will keep quiet stay in my room or hang out with friends. I'd like to chat with new mate and learn new culture or language from them :) I like playing PC game or Xbox, or watching movie while I rest at home. I hope we can be good friend. I respect my roommate and I know how to keep privacy. Most important thing is, I pay rent on time. Please checking my moving time carefully, I can go a inspection but I can't move immediately. If you want to know more or have any questions feel free to ask. Don't hesitant and text me. Much appreciated for your reading. Kind regards, Alex
Hey everyone, I'm Nick and I'm a sociable, well traveled guy who loves nothing more than to meet new people and share stories of good times. I'm a travel agent , I work set shifts between 6.30am -11pm on any given day of the week. I love sports, "trying" to cook, dinners with friends (at home or out) and just socialising in general. I do enjoy the odd beer or wine but my bender days are most definitely over so if you live in a place that is the place for after parties, I'm not your guy. I'm a clean and tidy bloke that's looking for a nice place to call home.
Hi I'm Andy, working full time at a fun tech company in the city. I like to work hard and keep my head down during the week, but of course love the freedom of the weekend. I like finding new cafes (although I never stray from my favourite!), good music, gigs and in my downtime a good book to read. I'm neat, tidy, responsible (for the most part) and looking for similar flatmates to live with.
I am easy going, work full time, cook, cyclist, I keep it quiet. I am looking for a private room and private bathroom. I am also looking for a parking spot/garage. Cheers.
Hey, I'm Megan and I'm 24. I work as a Nurse and Midwife. I'm in to health and fitness and enjoy going out for food and drinks. I'm an easy going and friendly person. I'm clean and tidy and always clean up after myself. I love to socialise but still like to have my own space.
HI guys! I 'm Elisa, a 27 yo Italian and emphatic girl. I 'm going to spend my Second WHV in Australia, from December 2016: indeed I'm planning to stay in the wonderful city of Melbourne (Where I've already got hips of friends, happy to introduce 'em to my flatmates) at least for 4-5 moths. I will start soon an University Short Course in RMIT as well, so I definitely need to find my place in this City. I consider myself a calm, ordinate and clean person, but always ready to share. I simply looove to cook, and I would be more than happy to hang out and create a positive environment and relationship with my flatmates.
Hi there! I'm looking to create a cosy share house in Brunswick/Northcote/Thornbury etc but also branching out to some of the leafier Northern suburbs such as Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Rosanna, Watsonia, etc. A little bit about me: I'm in my 20s in my final semester of my undergrad degree at La Trobe, majoring in Anthropology and English. I spend my time hunting out new vegan brunch spots, sipping cups of chai tea and hanging out with friends. I work as a nanny for several families in the inner North and work in mental health advocacy/policy which sometimes takes me up to Sydney for the day. I'm a feminist, queer friendly and environmentally conscious, so if these are values that you relate to/respect/are interested in, that would be excellent! I'm a clean person and considerate of shared spaces. I enjoy a chat in between life's up and downs but also need time out to unwind (doesn't everyone?). I have an extensive collection of homewares (enough to furnish a whole kitchen) but very little major furniture such as a fridge, dining table etc. so if that's something you could contribute, let me know! Zara :~)
I am a great housemate! Tidy, respectful, friendly and love to cook. I come with a Cocker Spaniel named Dougall who is fully trained. He just lost his sister and is very attached to me but loves people. I am looking to share with down to earth, busy people or a person. I love to socialise but also like my own down-time as I am in the process of writing a book about my juicy life so far. Lol. Hope to hear from you.
Hey guys, my name is Julia. I just moved to the big smoke from the lovely Gold Coast thismorning. I have always wanted to live in Melbourne and now I am here! Life is good. I am looking for a room in north Melbourne, no further than Coburg. I'm cool with a big house with lots of rooms or somewhere small. I have a cat named Sage. She's an inside girl, low energy and is desexed and twelve years old. She spends most of her time sleeping. I'd love for her to feel safe and at home where we go. I'm an artist who is looking forward to all of the creative opportunities Melbourne has to offer. I'm not a 9-5er. Hit me a message because my hearing is crap (ish). I am super friendly, relaxed, accepting, open minded and LGBT friendly. It could be rad. 😊
Hi! I'm looking for a sharehouse in Northcote/Fitzroy North and surrounds, ideally from late December-early January (when my current lease ends). I will be working full time as a junior doctor, so will be busy a lot next year but would love a happy relaxed house to come home to, with housies who are up for a chat and a shared dinner now and then. I am neat, I swim and play tennis, I love wine and cheese and coffee and brunch, and I do some work for a charity in my spare time. Let me know if I sound like a good fit!
Heya! I'm a full-time teacher in the western suburbs looking for a new place to call home. I already live in a flat in Thornbury but I am looking to get into a bigger place with some outdoor area, closer to the public transport on offer in the same area. I can cook basically, always do my dishes and happy to contribute to cleaning etc. I prefer not to live with cats...
I live just outside of Melbourne, so im looking for a place thats closer into town! I have 2 jobs and i am studying full time at La Trobe Uni. I'm an easy going person, who can get along well with everyone but i also appreciate quite time during the week if i have to study. With time off, i am a brunch enthusiast, love going to gigs when i can, hanging out with friends and seeing what Melbourne has to offer! I'm looking for 3 - 4 house mates and i am looking to pay no more than 200 per week! Looking for a place to move into with people who don't have a huge age gap. (preferably 18 - mid to late 20s) or making a share house with 3-5 people. Thanks, guys
Just moved here from the UK but lived in Melbourne for a while a few years back. My job (news editor for a tech/finance website) means I can travel a lot - was in Chicago for a while a couple of years ago - and so I'm staying here over the summer. Looking for somewhere for a few months (around five would be ideal) with sound, relaxed people who wouldn't mind a beer in front of the TV every now and there. As for me, I try to be the goldilocks housemate - neat but not obsessive, friendly but not pushy, sociable but I'm not about to drag strangers back at 2am for a party. No fuss, no muss. Interests include books, films, music (I worked at a record shop last time I was here) and coffee, if that counts. Respectful of people regardless of colour, gender or sexuality.
Hi we are Mariah and Niamh and we both are from country Victoria. We are looking for a share house for next year. Mariah is a musician and a music teacher full time. Niamh is a full time nursing student in her final year. We are looking for a team up or a pre-exisiting house hold. We would like to be close to public transport as we both don't like to use our car if we don't need too. We are both care-free people and like to have a boogie every now and again, but respect your private space as well.
Hi all, my name is Bridget and I'm mid twenties. I'm Full-time Nurse and going to be working in Fitzroy starting Jan 2017. Looking to move to the area end of Dec/early Jan. I'm really easy going and indepedant yet still social. I'm honestly not much of a partier but do enjoy a glass of wine or bubbles every now and then! Like to do my own thing but happy to be soical every now and then and want to live with someone friendly! I spend most of my time at the gym, running or at work so I'm never home much. Interested in a room of my own with ensuite or own bathroom. Happy to share everything else! :) Neat, tidy and non smoker. Msg me if you have any other questions. Regards Bridget
I'm Morty (Alex, but my friends call me Morty). I work part time, make art part time. I take photos and write/record music (don't worry, I won't be making noise deep into the night though). I'm pretty relaxed, I like to keep things neat and tidy and am respectful of shared spaces. Looking for somewhere long term.
Hi! I'm Simon and I will be turning 29 in the coming months. I will be working as a vet in a northeastern clinic in 2017. My hours will be regular day hours but I will be working weekends every now and then. I will eventually have overnight shifts later in the year. A little bit about myself - I spent my teenage years growing up around the world, so I am very fond of people from all walks of life. I spent my early adult years in the army training military dogs. I would describe myself as easy-going, tidy and considerate. Happy to listen to your rants and talk about your achievements, but also happy to give you your own privacy and quiet space. My interests include current events, cycling, computers, and cooking. In my free time I do a bit of volunteer work with an initiative that helps the homeless and their pets. I come with my own room furniture, two couches that form an L shape and a small espresso machine. I may have the option of coming with all of the white appliances as my current housemates are heading overseas for work. Also happy to contribute to any shared appliances. My current lease ends on January 15, so I am looking to move anytime before then. My ideal housemates are tidy, considerate, non-smokers, financially secure and communicative. I have shared houses with army friends, partners, extended family, internet people and classmates over the past 9 years and gone really well. Happy to move into an existing house, but I wouldn't mind house hunting with the right people either. I come with a four year old, indoor-only cat named Gin. He is playful if you decide to entertain him but fairly chilled out otherwise. Never had any issues with previous housemates, their pets, and taking him and his items out of the house during house inspections. I change his litter daily. He is very low maintenance and I can bring him to work if ever need be. Feel free to get in touch if I sound like a good fit.
Hi there! I a really down to earth 28 yo male, Spanish who has lived in the surrounding of Byron Bay area for 7 years. I went to uni up in Lismore studying osteopathy, a 3 year bachelor and 2 year master. I am like a professional housemate, hahaha! I have lived in many other houses with other flatmates and I am 100% aware of others living under the same roof. I just recently moved to Melbourne to see a bit more of Australia. I would like to live in Melb for at least 1 year. I already got some friends around. I love going to gigs, cultural events, yoga, surfing, hiking, climbing, running and so on. If you want to know more about me lets meet up! Cheers! Have an awesome day :) :)
Hi everyone, I'm Sonia. I'm looking for a share house a bit closer to the city than where I am now. I work as a project officer in homelessness sector full time and looking for a cosy sharehouse. I enjoy cooking, martial arts and kayaking.
Hi! My name is Greer and I'm a 19 year old girl moving to Melbourne in February and hoping to find someoneto share a house with. I will be working full time hours whilst studying so I am looking for more of a long term set-up I currently have a kitten who is about 2 months old however she is very nice and well trained
Am a casual gamer who works as a PCA in aged care and soon in disability. Am from Zimbabwe, laid back and am into movie, anime, metal and freelance video and graphic design jobs.
About this person Hi, I'm Elissa. I work in Comms at a domestic violence organisation in Collingwood four days a week and do contract work for an ethical shopping not-for-profit from home one day a week. Social justice and environmental sustainability is pretty important to me! I'm pretty laid back, friendly and independent. I've lived in many a share house so I understand how to be respectful of people's space and privacy. I love brunching, travelling, cooking, the beach, markets, op-shopping, aimless wandering, pub trivia, podcasts, wine, parks and Netflix. While I love (and need) time at home to recharge, I'm out and about more often than not. Looking to live with someone who has a similar lifestyle.
Hello, I'm Erin :) I'm looking for a new home in the central north suburbs of Melbourne, either in an existing share house or teaming up with other like-minded people to rent a new place. I work full-time Monday to Friday in medical admin, and keep things pretty chilled during the week. That leaves weekends for brunching, cocktails, live music and shopping, or binge-watching TV series if I'm feeling those hermit vibes. I also love taking my little dog Lola for walks, so I'm hoping to find a home for her too and will need to share with people who like little dogs and their big personalities! I have most household items that a fully functioning house needs, but am flexible with how much/little I bring with me. If you think I could be a part of your home, or you'd like to team up to find a place, please get in touch! :)
Hi there, I'm relocating to Melbourne for work and looking for a friendly, healthy and light-filled space to call home. I like to live a fairly health-conscious and active but relaxed lifestyle - I love the outdoors, camping, climbing, yoga and meditation. I love good food and would be keen to live with others who share this love together with the occasional glass of wine! I work in social policy and am interested in social justice and living in an environmentally friendly way. Looking to live with like-minded people in a friendly and calm household :)
Hi my names Derick, I'm a 24 yo male from Scotland and have recently moved to Melbourne and looking for a new place to stay. I am fun and out going, love my music, going out and experiencing new things but also like my quite time. I am a respectful individual who is clean and tidy I'm pretty open minded and like to meet new people from all walks of life. I don't mind pets and i'm happy to stay with guys/girls or both. Give me a message or call. :) :)
I'm Megan, 29, work full time. Looking for a room for the next 6 months before I head to Europe with the possibly to continue longer (in Europe for 6 weeks) I am pretty cruisy during the week but enjoy a drink and heading out on the weekend. Looking for a clean house, with relaxed housemates :)
I'm ultimately a creative and adventurous type, but professionally I'm a research academic. I've done a fair bit of travel, from the USA to Latvia and much in between. I've lived in quite a few share houses and I think I'm pretty aware about shared space, responsibilities, and gentle effective communication. Aiming for eco-friendly (not eco-fascistic) practices in the home is important to me. The cooking muse seems to have left me but I do make great salads and I'm superb at silly dancing around the lounge. In my down time I take my dog Maxie to the park and we get away camping or to Radelaide (hometown) whenever possible. Sometimes I go out to gigs or a bar or BBQ with friends. Quite often I binge-watch scifi series in bed on my laptop. I also do a bit of freestyle art and craft; usually on the creepy side but not tooo creepy! Aside from that I do meditation and yoga practice daily, and I study martial arts and potter in the garden. I'd like to get a veggie patch going or contribute to one. I'm also learning bass guitar; well, I'm teaching myself so it's slow progress :) My dog Maxie is a senior citizen kelpieXdingo. She's very sweet and unobtrusive. She mostly sleeps but likes to supervise back yard activities. She's chook-friendly but not cat-friendly. I take her for walks every day, and wherever possible she comes with me on outings but not as often now because she gets too tired.
Kiwi working in the music industry, super easy going. Looking to move northside to be closer to work & the better parts of Melbourne!
Work Full Time Social Yet Enjoy My Own Time Usually Out And About On Weekends Open Minded But Also Say What's On My Mind Also-Open Book Policy, Everyone Knows Where They Stand Then Get In Touch
Hey 👋🏻 Maddison and William are an easy going, quiet, housetrained couple, Maddison is 24 and Will is 27. Maddison manages a pizza restaurant ,while Will works in the tattoo industry. We know the ropes of a share house and keep to ourselves, but are friendly and always up for a chat! Maddison loves animals, so we're happy to have a pet or two around the house. We look forward to hearing from you ☺️
Hi everyone, my name's Emily. I'm a secondary school teacher, moving up to Melbourne to teach Italian and English. I'm originally from Geelong. In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting, watching movies, playing sport and being outdoors. I've lived in a share house before, and my housemates told me that I was quiet, clean, friendly and always positive.
Hi, i'm Sarah. I'm 23 and from Italy. I live in Geelong atm and im looking to move to Melbourne by the 13th of december! My visa expires in april, but im would like to start studying so i would stay longer too! I'm a nice and clean persone, i love to go out sometimes on the weekends but sometimes i just prefer a quiet weekend at home. I'm looking for a furnished private room!
Heya, I'm a self employed, author, entrepreneur, Chinese medicine guy and yoga enthusiast, originally from Brisbane. I'm into natural medicine, yoga, chilling out, reading books, drinking coffee, wine, running an online biz, dancing, kung fu, nature, music and laughing. I have no pets, no children, no wife, no girlfriend, no car and no B.S. :) What's wrong with this guy, you ask? I've been travelling around the globe and running my business online for the past 2 years and now I've got the vibe to settle down to focus more on my work and get back into teaching yoga. Melbourne seems like a great place to do that. I've been described as easy going, intelligent and friendly... I mainly cook vego, however I also eat meat. I always pay bills and rent on time. I love dogs. Cats are cool too, yet prefer dogs. Because I'm mainly a writer, I work from home most of the time. So I'm after a big bedroom or an office space where I can work from a good desk. Good internet, a quiet neighbourhood and access to public transport is a must. During the days I tend to stay in and work, however at night and on the weekends I tend to go out to yoga/kung fu classes and generally get more social. I have no furniture... as yet. So furnished would be helpful. Prefer to live in a warm, friendly, house with people in their late 20's or 30's who are interested in health, the arts, entrepreneurship and/or eco-friendly lifestyles. Sound good? Get in touch!
Friendly, easy-going and respectful couple looking for a place to call home. Flexible with legnth of stay - preferably a minimum of 2 months. Both working full time in Melbourne and would love to share with other sociable and chilled out people.
Hi there, I am currently looking for a friendly share house in the Reservoir/ Preston and surrounding area. I am a student with a part- time job and living in a tiny studio. I am looking to move as I enjoy being around people and my current place is pretty cramped. I am a reliable housemate, will respect your space and pay the rent on time. I will also always do my dishes! Let me know if you want to know anymore details. Hope to meet you soon, cheers, Fiona
Hey, we're Bec and Claire, and we're looking to rent a place before March. We're both full-time students at La Trobe, and work part-time. Claire works as a swimming coach and is studying nursing, and Bec works with children and is studying psychology. We're laid back, but like to keep things organised and neat. We both enjoy fitness and cooking, and are really keen to have a good relationship with our housemates.
I love to cook delicious and healthy meals every day. I believe in respecting each other, by cleaning up after myself and knowing when others need peace and quiet. I like to enjoy the company of others as well as enjoying time alone. I work 4 days per week as a registered nurse in Fairfield. I grew up in Adelaide and have been living in Melbourne for the last 12 years.
I'm very easy going. Have a great sense of humor and I'm super clean. I'm not working at the moment but plenty of money in the bank and 2 regular incomes of which i can provide proof. My dog will be with me full time. My son is nearly 4, he'll be with me part time. My partner would like to be able to spend 1-2 days a week max with us. For which he will pay if need be. We are very honest and respectful people.
Early-mid 20s, work for a music venue in Fitzroy + a bottle-shop in Abbotsford. Travelling USA from 20 Dec 2016 to 24 Jan 2017, looking for a place for when I return!
Hi, I'm a student doing masters and also working casually. I spend a couple of nights a week playing sports but also study a lot. I'm really social, friendly and easy-going just don't eat my food or I'll get hangry ;) I'm looking for a room in a 2 bedroom unit/flat/apartment. But I'd move into a bigger house with the right people. I need somewhere ASAP as I only just found out I have to move out before December 20.
We are a bunch of creative girls from New South Wales looking to settle in Melbourne! Sarah and Hen are continuing their studies with part-time work, and Laura has full-time work. We have all been renting in Sydney for the last few years, and saving up to move to Melbourne to get into our art, music and creative writing!
Hi, I have recently moved to Melbourne and am looking for some accommodation. I am easy to live with, neat and clean and happy to share spaces and chat but like to do my own thing as well. I am in my 40's so this won't be my first time sharing - I know the etiquette. I am studying full time at Melbourne Uni and will be busy during the days but sharing a meal with housemates or a glass of wine would be lovely of an evening.
Hey :) I'm a 25yo British Vet, moving down to Melbourne from Brisbane in April. Moved over from the Motherland a year ago. Im clean, respectful of others belongings, love things being homely and definitely get people needing their own space as well as being sociable. I'll be working pretty long hours and some weekend work (comes with the territory sadly) but outside of work am extremely sociable. Love heading out for dinner/ a few drinks/ theatre/ generally being outdoors just as much as staying in with some nice red or a few beers and catching up. I love being outdoors, seeing new places, looking for some adventure, and food is life. Get In touch :)
Hey all ! Brad and I are a full-time working couple who are easy going, very outgoing and have a well housetrained Dog Bailey and Cat Ezra. We need to find somewhere short-term as our lease for our current house ends on the 20th of Jan and we have plans to travel overseas from the end of March. We are very flexible about the location as we both work in the city. If interested please feel free to inbox me and I will give you my number to contact me on. :)
Hi everyone! Sadly my lease is ending and i need to find a new home and new housemates by the 10th December! I am 22, work full time at a hospital and obviously, pretty terrible at about me's. I've rewritten this whole thing 4 times but my internet keeps crashing, so i am going to give up. Until i find some more energy to write this again. I like going for walks and i really like puppies. I also like good conversations but i am asleep most of the time unless it's festival time. On top with rent/bills/cleaning i promise. Message me!!!!
Hey all, I'm to start a new house share from Thornbury to Brunswick, Elwood to Caulfield and in any inner North, East or Southern Suburbs. My budget is $185/week, ready to move now. I'm 31, originally from QLD and have been living in Melbourne for about 3.5 years. I work 5 days/week in hospitality, until I go back to uni full time (+ work part time) for a year to finish my psych degree. When I finish I'm aiming to get a job in a humanistic position. On my days off I generally like to get outdoors if the weather is good and am looking forward to getting some beach days in this summer, (if/when it actually arrives in Melbs). I'd like to say I sleep in but my body clock often doesn't allow it. It only lets me feel like I could sleep in on the days I have to work. Most of my social outings revolve around visiting friends or heading out to gigs, or maybe a sneaky festival once or twice a year. I enjoy food and drink and chats with my housemates, but equally enjoy my down time and respect others' need for the same. I'm clean and tidy, especially when it comes to communal spaces. Eat mostly vegetarian, but not wigged out by food of any kind. I’m good for paying rent/bills on time, am not touchy about discussing stuff house-related, much prefer openness and communication. Am well-trained in house-sharing, and don’t possess any sexist, racist, LGBTI-phobic views/sentiments. 420-friendly. Come with a bunch of plants and make kombucha regularly. Do have some furniture to bring, kitchen stuff, no whitegoods though. Feel free to fire any questions my way 🙂 I'm ready to move asap!
Hey I'm Eliza! I'm 21 and a student at RMIT Bundoora. I study a lot but I'm always up for a laugh or a cider (or 2). I'm a tidy person and will always help out around the house PM me for more deets or questions.
