I'm a Masters student and research assistant at the University of Canberra researching the conservation of small-bodied freshwater fish. Although I'm neat and tidy, I'm also very relaxed and easy going. I'm handy around the house and am always up for a chat even though I usually keep to myself.
Hi, my name is Piyush Gupta and I'm 23 years old male hailing from India currently studying Master of Computing full-time at Australian National University. I don't smoke and don't have a pet or vehicle. I've been living in shared spaces for the past five years now and thus I'm aware of personal space of the roommates that needs to be respected. I'm easy going and always hygienic and tidy. I'm bad at organizing parties myself, but wouldn't mind if the roommates decide to have one. I wouldn't be in my own bubble all the time and be socially active with the roommates too. I like reading books, playing video games and exercise. P.S - The baby in the picture is just to add cuteness, doesn't come with me :)
I originaly come from Yass, NSW but I am now working full time at old Parliament House as a barrister and waiter (8am to 5pm) I enjoy cooking and eat almost anything, I'm also down with vegetarian and vegan. I am a very clean and tidy person and I like coming home after a long days work to a clean house. I am an easy going person and easy to get along with, I like socializing at the end of the day and on weekends; for instance sharing dinner together or having a drink. In my free time I like to draw, read and watch movies. I do enjoy getting outside and longboarding as well as hiking when I get the chance. I understand the importance of privacy and I will 100% respect it. I have lived with other families and people and do have valuable experience.
I'm a current honours student at ANU studying Psychology and working part time in functions. I'm open to pretty much any housing situation. In my spare time I enjoy reading, the gym and the odd video game.
Hey everyone! I'm Lindon. I moved here from Brisbane 4 years ago. I work full time at a health food cafe in Kingston and occasionally do night shifts at my second job. I'm super down to earth and get along with everyone. I am looking for a housemate who is chill and doesn't mind a conversation every now and then but also doesn't mind my space. I am very clean, quiet and respectful. Looking for someone cool to share a place with ASAP. Thanks everyone!
We are both hard workers, easy going, clean/neat and reliable. We are both from Wagga Wagga, recently moved to Canberra and both full time working. Breanna is a full time chef at the Knox cafe made in Watson and Trai is a plumber, party bus driver and truck driver. We love our music and always up for a chat but also like to have our own space.
Looking to rent two bedrooms for me and my friend Shweta for minimum one year near ANU. We are currently going to start studying at ANU for masters in Astrophysics and Masters in marketing. If not then one bedroom just for myself will just do fine. I would prefer two bedroom flat but we do not mind sharing with other flatmates.
I love to cook (fresh pasta, veg-heavy, baking, chocolate), read (books are my kryptonite) and seek out ways to progressively engage climate issues in systemic and community-based ways. I love to keep a tidy and fresh home, shop at the Epic markets and Aldi, mostly, drive and cycle for work. Regular yoga, irregular hiking, hanging/cooking with friends and the occasional dinner out make life delightful. Art lover. I moved to CBR to study public policy to enable me to engage on the social and economic roots of climate and environmental challenges, and have just accepted a full-time (dream) job on climate adaptation and resource management (wish me luck). In living arrangements, I really enjoy pooling resources and putting energy into a dwelling into a home, especially through shared shopping and cooking, and enjoying and being a gentle presence in home. While kids and animals love me, I'd like to live in a child-free/light home; pets are welcome although I currently have none of my own. I tend to be an early riser, and enjoy warm, well-lit spaces with gentle people who enjoy chewing over progressive ideas and at least a little practice of same. :-)
I’m clean and neat but chill. I’m easy to get along with, enjoy socialising with my flatmates but also time to myself. Would be flexible to cooking meals together on a semi regular basis or not. I’m a part time student with a casual job.
Hi there, I’m looking for a new place since the current house I’m in is splitting up soon. I’m a 21 year old guy from rural NSW who is working for Google's Project Wing. I’ve been sharing my current house with 4 other people and I am used to cooking and a bit of house banter as well as keeping areas clean and sharing bathrooms. I usually do a bit of tinkering, hiking, photography, footy and mountain biking in my spare time. Let me know if you would be interested in sorting something out. Cheers Marcus
I have just got back from 12 months teaching English overseas (Mongolia) and I'm ready to settle in to life in Canberra again. I'll remain here for 12 months and my next adventure is Russia! Please note that my move date is flexible but I would prefer to move ASAP.
Hi! My name’s Amy and I just got a job in Media in Canberra. I’m a pretty easy going person and really just want to relax when I get home. I’m a big music lover (but won’t play loud music late at night) and like to cook. I also am good at cleaning up after myself. I have both lived out of home and with a roommate before. I also have a pug cross beagle (named Pumba) who is super friendly, trained and loves watching TV.
Seeking a large room, in a warm, well insulated(!), friendly house in Canberra! Also interested in teaming up with others to find a nice place. I'm an experienced house-sharer, work full time, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I'm a creative type, enjoy a good conversation, playing guitar, photography / videography, and getting out into nature for a decent walk. Currently in a one bedroom apartment paying a silly amount of rent on my own. Want to reduce my living costs, and join some other likeminded folk in a warm, comfortable, spacious place that's homely. Open to teaming up with a few others and getting a place, if the personalities all work. What i need is a large unfurnished room to fit my queen sized bed, shelving and large desk, or a seperate area / room / study for shelving / desk. Also have a car, so will need a space to park that. Have a small bunch of furniture - queen sized bed, couch x2, fridge, microwave, bookshelves, 46" TV, stereo, bookshelves, etc... can be used if needed, otherwise will be put into storage / sold. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
My name is Keely and I’m 18yrs old. I am currently not working or studying but I am looking for work and plan on going back to study in the next few months. My main income is centerlink while I look for jobs. I have a pet rat who is very friendly and you won’t even notice, unless you want to of course and a cat but I can make other arrangements for him if needed.
Friendly , nonjudgmental, 18 yo , boy. Loves to binge watch movies or tv shows and eat pizza, loves snack , but also healthy food. Respect and expect privacy. Flexible sleep schedule and no food allergies. I’m Indian but don’t mind eating any cuisine. Non smoker , don’t drink, but don't mind others drinking. Basically , you will find all the generic and necessary room mate qualities in me.
I'm a very considerate, studious and social guy who is commencing postgraduate studies at ANU, as of this July. Although I am Australian, I grew up overseas and really looking forward to moving to Australia in early July, 2018, and seeing what cities like Canberra have to offer. I am coming to Australia with nothing but a suitcase of my essential clothes, so I am very low maintenance and minimalistic. Furnished accommodation is of course preferred for that reason, but I also don't mind sleeping on the floor until I can afford a bed haha. I just completed my undergraduate degree in the United Kingdom in June, 2018, so I do not complain about the cold. Seeking part-time employment alongside my studies to finance my life, but also have somewhat of a social life. I try to be out of the house often whether it be through studying in the library, going out for a hike and a drink with friends, so I like to keep my living spaces as a clean and quiet recluse. Happy to participate in communal or independent living with my flatmates!
I'm a single professional in real estate. I work 6 days a week and usually spend most of my (very minimal) spare time at the gym, cooking, or watching Parks and Rec/sleeping. I do enjoy a bev or two every now and then, and can be pretty social when I’m not exhausted from work. I have a bunch of furniture but am happy to store some if necessary, currently living alone and looking to save money. The main vice is that I do have an indoor cat who comes with me everywhere, she is pretty useless though and manages to cause no damage, thank god. She is fully litter trained and has embarrassing cat anxiety so is pretty happy curled up on my bed. If you hate cats, she will definitely avoid you. If you like cats, she's pretty much a hilarious alien so you'll vibe. Would prefer an ensuite but not necessary!! Open to roomies of all shapes, genders, sizes. But hopefully someone who enjoys a chat and some Netflix :) Thanks y'all
Hi, I recently started a new engineering job in Canberra and I am currently looking for some fine folk(s) to share a home with in Canberra. A bit about me, my hobbies include cycling, games (electronic and tabletop), I enjoy making (and consuming) interesting food and drink. I consider myself to be house trained and I am happy help out around the house with cleaning, etc. Generally, I am pretty chilled out, I am looking for people to live with, not a bunch of strangers to share a house with.
