Hey, I'm Josh! Looking for a room in a share-house in Canberra for next year when I start a graduate position with a APS agency. I think I'm pretty laid-back, love getting outdoors and hiking etc. I'm looking forward to heading down to Canberra and getting settled into my new home. Don't mind a beer or two, and love a good laugh! And don't worry, I agree, the Raiders were robbed!
**i will be out of town until the 29th Dec, so I won’t be able to look at any houses until after this date!!! But happy to stay in contact** I have recently finished my bachelor of criminology & psychology at ANU. Currently working in retail, I am actively looking for a full time job! I would love to join a social house where we can have dinners together, go out to bars/cafes together and chill nights in (love a board game or two). I also enjoy a good book and drink too much coffee. Im also looking to find a ceramics class in the new year.... I also have a cat, Thor, who I would love to bring with me. He is super chill and super fluffy and gets along with people and other pets. He is indoors only, and has been no trouble in my current sharehouse situation. Ideally I am looking for a house that will welcome him as much as me.
Hello, My name is Courtney. I'm 30 and working full time as an aerospace engineer. I currently live in a one-bedroom place, but interested in moving to a 2-3 person share house if I can find the right person/people. I'm open to moving to an established share house, but teaming up to apply for a place together is preferred. Inner-ish north or south ideal, but somewhat flexible with location. I love the outdoors, particularly trail running and hiking. I'm a vegetarian, non-smoker and non-drinker. Happy to live with meat-eaters and drinkers, but not smokers. I do my best to minimise electricity use and waste (especially disposable plastics) and would like to find a similarly environmentally-conscious housemate. I enjoy gardening and grow as much of my own produce as practical. The perfect house or apartment would have a spot in the garden to grow vegetables or a large enough courtyard/balcony to have room for my planter boxes. I already own plenty of furniture (dining table, bookshelves, TV, washing machine, couch, etc.), although the couch has seen better days. I'd also like to have my own bathroom, preferably ensuite. I'm an early-bird, usually getting up at 05:30 for running or swimming before work. I'm a social person, but also a strong introvert, and often need quiet time to recharge after a hectic work day. I do still enjoy having a chat and sharing the odd meal/coffee/movie/outing with my housemate(s). I'd prefer not to have big parties at the house, but I love cooking and having a few friends around for dinner and/or board games once per month or so. I'm a very considerate person and like to keep the place clean and tidy, and would like the same from a housemate. Let me know if you think we'd be a good fit :) Cheers, Courtney.
I am currently looking for a place with my good friend who I have known for years. We are both uni students and are both very quiet and clean people. I am studying full-time digital media & film at UC. I have two casual jobs - One as a sales assistant, and one as a car detailer. I enjoy sketching, driving, and playing guitar.
Hello! I'm a FT public servant with a 5yo Vizsla, Asher. We're very social but value our independence too and we're both pretty obsessed with food (I cook, she eats). We're also pretty active and like getting outdoors on weekends. Looking for dog loving professionals who don't mind half chewed tennis balls or a cheeky schooey on a Sunday arvo.
Heya, I've just finished studying population health at ANU and work as a nurse in the Woden Valley. I have a cat named Beck who is 11yo who spends most of her time napping, watching the world go by or purring loudly. I adult quite well, I pay my rent and I clean. I’m respectful and honest. I like nature and learning, music and peaceful sleep-ins. For fun I like to dance or ride my bike, rest in my hammock, have a drink with friends or binge watch Netflix. I'm a vegetarian and a feminist. I'm usually trying to be a better human than i was last month. I have to move because there is a big leak in my current place! I’m looking for somewhere big enough to fit a queen bed and desk. I'm interested in is a ground-floor apartment or a house.
Hello! I am a full-time musician who teaches violin at schools in north Canberra and do gigs whenever I can. I've lived in a share house for the past 4 years and would love to move into a social house. My weekdays are pretty busy, but I usually spend the weekends out and about with friends. I'm always up for a drink or a boardgame with my housemates, but also respect their personal space. If I would be a good fit for your share house please let me know - would love to chat! Thanks, Elisha 😊
I've recently quit my job to go back to uni full time and am doing two postgrad courses. I'm from Victoria but studying at ANU and will be driving back and forth a lot. I won't be in Canberra for at least 13 weeks of the uni year due to rural placements. I'm preferably looking for somewhere that is within 10mins bike ride of ANU or Questacon. I'll be needing a room from early Feb till approx. Nov but am super flexible. I'd prefer furnished if possible. I would be happy for you to AirBnB my room out while I am not around. Also flexible on price but would prefer to spend less than $200 pw (student life 😔) I love science and learning. I also like hiking and dogs. I also like cooking and bad puns. I love travel and have a few trips booked in next year (somehow have to squeeze them in amongst the study!) I don't mind the occasional social drink but not looking for a house full of party animals. I don't smoke and I am very clean. I like to think I'm easy to get along with, and don't mind watching a movie etc with housemates but I'm not expecting to be your best friend. I previously lived in a 4 bedroom house with 5 other people and a 3 bedroom house with 1 other person, and would prefer less housemates if possible. I will be spending a lot of time studying so will need internet access if possible. My boyfriend would be visiting on occasional weekends but wouldn't be staying long term. I've previously had success with flatmates.com.au so hoping to find somewhere again! Any questions, please ask away!
Hi! I’m Brianna (Bree) I am looking to find a place in the inner-northern suburbs. I am relocating to Canberra from Perth to start a graduate role in the APS in February. I’ve been a beauty therapist for the past 8 years - so very aware of keeping spaces tidy and clean. I love both cats and dogs - I will be leaving mine home (two cats and one dog) as at this point my position is for one year. I’m from a big family and love being around others, however I love my down time and chilling around the house. I’d love to move in with someone who is keen for chats here and there and hopefully build a friendship. Looking to move with one or two people - prefer females - and my own bathroom. I’m clean and respectful would love someone the same :)
Hi, I am fifty six and get along with people of all ages; most of my friends are in their thirties. I have lived in few share places, with some friends and also did some house-sitting over the last four years. I like to socialise and spend time with friends. I plan to do study next year. In the past I have done counselling, retail, public service work as well as self-publishing five books on Amazon. I like music gigs, art and movies and I guess you could call me a spiritual person. I have been involved in the LGBTQI community and also with the Refugee Action Committee. I am just overcoming chronic fatigue and I have a peripheral vision loss but am quite functional. I hope to find the right people in the right place. Thank you.
Hi! I'm Tuva, currently working part time as a techincal support engineer and studying full time at UC (Marketing Communications). I'm looking to move out at the end of December or early January, and would prefer to be able to stay for around ~6 months at this time.
* I love being social with people and having them around, but at the same time, I like my privacy. * I don't mind sharing as long as permission is asked. * I like to sing loudly, even though I can't really. *my motto is "life is short, so enjoy it" * I want a roommate who is from a different cultural background or has different views so that I can learn from them
