I'm looking to a place for my partner (23) and I to move into in late September/October in South Brisbane/CBD - pretty much anywhere central Brisbane. We're both super laid back and dont mind having the occasional drink/meal with housemates but respect peoples space and usually keep to ourselves. Looking for either a couples room or 2 rooms in the same sharehouse. We smoke (outside) and are fine with any pets :)
I'm tidy, clean, friendly and awesome :) Dual trade, qualified electrician and gas fitter. I have a full time job as a service tech and drive all over south east Queensland attending breakdowns on equipment. I'm into sport, basketball, rugby, league, cricket. Also like going to the gym. Don't mind socialising, going out for a beer to watch sporting events and a meal. Looking to meet awesome people to live with. Let me know if you would like to meet up and share a wine or a beer and solve the worlds problems.... lol
I'm looking for a social house :) Preferably more nerdy than a party house. I like board games, sci fi, and making stuff with yarn. I'm goth and a night owl, but I try not to keep people up with loud music. I'm a Master's student studying Public Health at QUT Kelvin Grove , and receive Youth Allowance from Centrelink. I've never been late on rent, and I prefer to have bills included so I don't stress. I clean up after myself most of the time, but due to chronic illness I have days where I am only well enough to rinse off a plate and deal with it later. I've got my own furniture, and any room needs to fit a double bed, and few other things like a coffee table and small drawers. Oh, and no smoking and no drugs please.
I'm a down to earth guy from Sweden who exercises alot and is here to study Engineering for 2 years. Friendly and open, very social but enjoy my own time. Currently living at Unilodge, looking for something cheaper and wouldn't mind starting up a new share-house with like minded people.
I am a very clean and respectful person. I am very chill and don't have care for much. As long as you are nice to me and can keep your area tidy I am happy. Very outgoing and have a great personality. I work fulltime during the week so am rarely home and work at the Gold Coast over the weekends. I am looking for a fully furnished room/living area on the asap as I just moved here from Tasmania three weeks ago.
24yo healthcare shift worker. I love to cook and I love to eat, eating is a deep passion of mine. I am clean and i do not smoke. I can be a bit quiet at times but i'm generally easy to talk to and get along with.
Hey, I'm Rachel, 25, and I was studying arts (philosophy/writing/French) at UQ this semester, right up till the census date. I'm now planning to work and volunteer for a bit while getting projects ready on the side for honours. So I’d be looking for a job locally, but I’ll be starting regular volunteering straight away. I like reading, nature, gardening, philosophy, art, aesthetics, and design, and am working on several philanthropic projects, especially in education for kids and laypeople. As a housemate, I’m considerate, clean, and tidy (in the common areas, always - although in my own room things can pile up!). I love chats, shared meals, birthdays, games and outings. I like my own space too. If we sound like a good match, I’d love to have a chat!
Hi, my name is Rachel. I'm a full time high school teacher. I'm super easy going and tidy. I recently moved from the Gold Coast to north Brizzy, but finding a place closer to CBD. I like surfing, music, fashion, reading and baking (side hobby). On weekends I like to go surfing, catch up with friends and family.
I have moved 12 times in my 16 years of living so I am quite experienced with adapting and appreciating different lifestyles. I'm a pretty easy person and I don't care if you want to read or party. I'll probably read and only join the party if there is fairy bread involved. I love having existential conversations so if your freaking out you can pop over to my room. I'm cool with whatever you do and will try to help you out with whatever you may need. And if all of that doesn't float your boat my life raft is that I am hoping to get two rescue dogs. Mastiff X and staff x. I love all animals but must admit I'm not all to fussed about cats because I never know what they want from me. I APPRECIATE CORRECT GRAMMAR but I don't care for punctuation :) Hope to met you all soon x
I'm a 25 year old female PhD student at the University of Queensland, where I also tutor par-time. I'd describe myself more of an introvert than a party person, but I love a good wine or a few drinks on a Sunday afternoon. I'm looking to preferably move into an existing sharehouse or otherwise start one with some awesome people. I generally go to UQ about 3-4 times a week and otherwise work at home with my dog. I have a gorgeous 2 year old west highland terrier called Louie! He is desexed, up to date on all vaccinations, etc. He is generally a pretty chill little dude to live with and likes to sleep and sunbake as he pleases. He is an indoor dog and has always had access to common areas (e.g. living room). He's a friendly little guy, so if you too have a dog I'm sure they'd be great friends, but it would be great for them to meet first.
We are a British couple from Brighton just finished traveling Asia and now in Australia on working holiday visa. We both will be working in central Brisbane. We are easy going, clean, tidy, love to cook, eat and share a bottle of wine (or beer). Looking to share with similar people.
Hi there, potential roomie/friend! Are you going to move out on your own for the first time? Maybe you'll leave friends and family behind, to go study while also tring something totally different from what you are used to? If so: then we are in the same boat, and I would love to hear from you! I'm an ambitious young Norwegian who's going to take a Bachelor of Art (majoring in Peace and Conflict Studies) at UQ, starting in February 2018. I'm a little shy, and more off an introvert than an extrovert, but once you get to know me I think you'll discover that I have just the right amount of craziness in me. I think moving to Brisbane to study will be my greatest adventure yet, and if you want to be a part of it, and let me be a part of YOUR adventure, please contact me. It doesn't matter if it is to team up to start a new share house or just to get to know at least one person before you pack your bags and move to the other side of the Earth (heh, I'm definitely guilty of being a little bitt nervous about that part). Or maybe you even want to invite me to an existing share house. I'm open for everything, and really excited to hear from you! A few practical things if we are going to live together: I'm very open minded, I love cats (but don't have any pets my self), I don't handle smoke well (sometimes it makes it hard for me to breath) so I can't live with someone who smokes inside. And last, but not least, I'm very picky when it comes to food, but I'm sure that won't too much of a problem :-)
My name's Sophie and I'm studying journalism at UQ while working part-time at the ABC in South Bank. I'm really friendly, super tidy, and would love to become friends with my housemates. I'm a huge fan of puppies (although sadly I don't have one in Brisbane), scary movies, and coffee. If you know of any great cafes around the area you're living, PLEASE share them with me so I can continue to eat smashed avo and never be able to afford a house deposit!!
Hello mate, My name is Guilherme. I'm from São Paulo, Brazil and I intend to catch a plane to Brisbane on November 8th, for study purpose. I'm a very organized person, this is something that was taught by my parents since I was a litle boy, and it was improved when I went to the Brazilian Army. I'm also very friendly and don't have problem to live with other person (prefencialy not brazilians and not at the same bedroom, for privacy reasons). Well, Brisbane is beautifull by photos and videos and I intend to know every single thingh this city can provide me, but, my school is located at Adelaide street, near the Central Station, so if you have some bedroom near Spring Hill, West End or any other place that I could get by bike, it'll be great.
I'm Ruby, I'm an artist who finished a degree in game design last year and am now working full time in retail. I have a 2 year old greyhound rescue named Travis who adores everyone and everything, and is the sweetest most quiet and clean boy in the world. We are inseparable! I am looking for somewhere close to public transport, ideally below $250 per week each. My perfect housemate is someone who is clean and quiet. I like to keep to myself and work 5 days a week, I'm very tidy and don't make a lot of mess or noise.
Hey! My name's Mat, I'm 23, I'm technically a student but taking a semester off at the moment. In my spare time I'm an artist (painter/ceramicist) and radio DJ (not anywhere fancy, though). I'm into comic books and video games, super keen on Dungeons & Dragons but I'll do Scrabble too if there's drinks. I love cooking and I'm good at making excuses for not going to the gym. I'm mostly quiet but usually up for a chat if you are, and would love to live with people I can be friends with - I like having my own space, but hate when things are awkward. I'm pretty tidy (but not a clean freak), prefer to keep communal spaces neat, love being respectful of others, etc. As mentioned earlier I do a lot of cooking, I'm a vegetarian but I don't mind if you're not, I love the idea of getting the whole house together once or twice a week to have a chat over dinner or brunch or whatever. I'm not a party animal (defs not cool enough) but I'm down for the occasional low-key gathering. I don't smoke but I don't mind if you do. I'm pretty much down to live wherever as long as it's not more than an hour away from the city. We've gotta be close to public transport too, since I don't have a car. I'm kind of a night owl, but if you're not easily woken up by stuff like the kettle boiling for coffee, that shouldn't be a problem. Maybe you're awake late at night a lot too. Maybe we can avoid addressing our unhealthy sleep schedules together. Kinda important thing: I'm gay, so you've got to be LGBT friendly and not weird about it. Otherwise, I'm cool to live with pretty much whoever. Second important thing: I have pets! They are a green tree frog and a blue tongue lizard. They each have their own terrarium (think fish tank, but without the chance of accidentally getting heaps of water everywhere). The bluey is quiet. The frog is mostly quiet. Also, as an art student, a certain amount of laziness/social ineptitude is expected but I promise I'll keep the house tidy and always pay my bills on time. If you're still reading - thanks for reading! Hope to hear from you soon.
I m 29 old girl from Italy. My working Holiday Visa expires soon and I m leaving the Country on November 6th. At the moment I m looking a short term accommodation to stay till the date of my flight. During this short frame of time I m planning to find a job in hospitality and spend time with relatives and friend that I have in Brisbane.
I'm a responsible and clean type of person. I'm very easy to get along with and I'm sensitive to other people around me. I like to be the person people enjoy having around. My life is pretty simple. I work at Infinity Travel Group corporate office in South Bank full time, I like to ride my bike for exercise, I enjoy going to the gym, and I go out with my lady on dates. She will visit me but will NEVER spend the night. I do try to go out of my way to be respectful to others because I live by the golden rule of treating others the way I'd like to be treated. My schedule is pretty predictable. I'm out of the house early in the morning to workout at the gym at work, work all day, and either have dinner with my lady before calling it a night. On the weekends, I like to do my upkeep (laundry, errands, and relaxing).
Hello! I'm Erin. I'm here on a one year working visa from Canada. Non smoker. I'm super clean, I love animals though so if you have a dog I'm definitely going to walk it 😊 Looking for a furnished room to rent. I don't have a vehicle yet so I will need something near a bus or train route. Preferring someone with chill vibes. I'm quite easy to get along with. I do like to party but not at my own home usually so you can expect I will be out on weekends. I love electronic music but I'll listen to basically anything. I do a lot of hiking, fishing, swimming, yoga and want to get into surfing.
Peter and I are both web developers, and have been living in awesome places in the last few years: London, New York, Sydney and Barcelona to name some of them. We have recently completed a Big Lap around Australia and now ready to settle for a few years in Brisbane. We are tidy and responsible professionals, who care for their rented properties as their own.
I am moving to Brisbane frim Sydney for a work promotion. My husband needs to stay in Sydney for his work for the next 6-8 months, so looking to share during this time. I will be in Sydney one weekend a fourtnight and Jordan (husband) would be visiting once a month on the weekend. With my job and visiting Sydney I will be away quite a bit, which is great for someone looking for an absent housemate. In saying this, I love a wine and chilling at home. I am hoping to move in with someone considerate, fun and clean (without being a clean freak).
Professional female working full time, I'm easy going, friendly, clean and tidy, and respectful. I love latin dancing, travelling and going to the beach. FLEXIBLE WITH LENGTH OF STAY I'd like a furnished room and need parking for my car, at least easy on street parking...
