I have just moved to Canberra from a small town in the Snowy Mountains NSW and need to find a pet friendly place for me and my two pets. I have lived with housemates for 10 years - from many walks of life. I'm mature, reliable and laid-back. I am very self aware and responsible. I have a full time job in Canberra. I like wine, skiing, mountain bike riding, reading and movies. In summer I love getting outside most days doing something in the mountains or rivers and lakes with my dog Mack. A bit about my pets - one is a Tabby cat named Molly (3 years old), she's been an indoor and outdoor cat and is fine living with dogs and generally keeps to herself. The other is a Kelpie x Blue Heeler dog named Mack (6 years old), he is extremely intelligent and has a gorgeous temperament. He is great with kids and adults, cats and other dogs. My animals are well trained (as much as a cat can be) and are very well socialised with other people and other pets - including horses, chickens, goats etc. We have lived in suburbs and on farms. I've moved them around the country so we are all well travelled and easily adaptable.
Hey :) I'm a full-time PhD student at the ANU, very quiet and mostly keep to myself. I have lived in share houses for a long time and am very respectful of other people's space & privacy. I like to keep my room clean, and the common area as well when possible. Looking for an established quiet share house, or 1-2 similar-minded people to team up for a new lease. I don't have any furniture at the moment, but happy to buy if needed. Ideally I'd like to have my own bathroom and a parking space for my car. I also like modern houses/units/apartments with large walk-in robes. If this sounds like you don't hesitate to hit me up! Cheers
Hey! So I'm a student studying at CMA in mitchell, I'll be a qualified beauty therapist by the end of year. I'm quite, clean and very friendly. I tend to get along with anyone. I keep to myself a lot. Although, I don't mind spending a few nights together or having a chat. I'm young and creative and enjoy just hanging around watching Netflix or doing some baking. Always been a Canberra gal, im not a loud person nor am I a partier. That doesn't stop me from the one off nights where I might wanna go out. I'd be down with hanging and having a few drinks. I have a small inside dog, everyone adores him, his a great dog who gets along with other animals too. His names Xavier and his a shoodle :) I can't afford much due to being a student, once I'm a qualified therapist I hope to do mobile/at home treatments. I would prefer living with another individual/2 others or alone. This is due to me being extremely shy. I would like to open up and meet new people though too. I love nerding out- I love marvel, DC, reading comics, game of thrones, rick and morty just to name a few things. Depending how nerdy you are I can play magic the gathering and always down to learn a new thing or two ! I’m super super shy I can’t stress that enough, but once I’m comfortable I’m sure we’d get on fine! I do have a few LGBT friends that would potentially come over so I’d prefer if I was living with someone who accepts them. Let me know if you’d like to know more about me or think we’d be a good match. 😊😊 I’m also able to pay my rent months in advanced if needed.
Quiet, clean, flexible with arrangements. I hold a full-time job at a Canberra school and am a part-time uni student, studying an education degree by correspondence. I am a non-smoker, with no pets and while I enjoy a drink here and there I am by no means a party animal. I am friendly and easy-going, happy to be social or independent depending on the situation. I am reliable and have my own transport.
I am a public servant relocating from QLD to Canberra for work. I am clean and considerate. I enjoy my alone time, but I am also sociable and look forward to getting to know my flat mates. I love animals, especially dogs. I’m vegetarian but have no objection to living with non-vegetarians, as I believe this is a personal choice. I enjoy a few drinks, but not too many as I like to make the most of the day and get outdoors bushwalking, jogging and doing yoga.
Hi! I'm Adam. I work full time as an animator for a small digital advertising company. I'm very laid back and like to keep things tidy, I mostly keep to myself but I'm always down to socialise! I've lived in a share house for the past 5-ish years so I'm used to pulling my own weight, I'm just keen to upgrade to a bigger place that can offer a bit more privacy and space (as well as a proper sized kitchen!), as well as secure parking and air conditioning. I have no pets but I miss having pets around so if you've got any that's a bonus as far as I'm concerned. :) And, although it's not a requirement, if you've got a place where I could consider getting a pet of my own that would be amazing. I'm also not keen on moving around a lot so ideally I'm looking for a long-term arrangement, somewhere I can call home. Aiming to stay on the south side of the ACT as my office is there and the stage 2 plans for the light rail taking up a couple of lanes on Commonwealth Avenue bridge and making traffic horrendous sounds terrifying, so I'd rather not deal with that!
Hey, I'm Alex, I moved to Canberra 5 years ago and have fallen for the Bush Capital after moving here from Orange in central western NSW. Originally hailing from Narromine, west of Dubbo in country NSW, I'm Currently finishing a Commerce Degree at the ANU whilst working as a Marketing Manager and Photographer in the City. In my time off I'm all about taking a load off and watching a bit of Trash TV, heading to the Pool to swim a few laps or setting off for a Cycle around Canberra and surrounds. I often spend weekends in Sydney with my Girlfriend, or out and about taking photos with mates and most likely enjoying a good glass of Red. My current house in Braddon has been put up for sale, hence the need for a move! I bring with me a large fridge and freezer, a 45" TV (with Netflix, stan and amazon prime), Couches, a washing machine and multiple indoor plants so a team-up would be a dream! I've got years of great times living with both guys and girls and believe I’m a respectable person when it comes to other peoples spaces and their home life. Home is where your supposed to relax and unwind and be comfortable after a long week, hopefully you agree!
I am 35 year old male, worked at one of the embassy in Canberra full time, I enjoyed playing online games, but not to geeky and would love to chat when I am at home. I respect privacy of others and I like clean bathroom and kitchen. please ask me anything you want to know. Thanks
Hi, My name is Holly, I'm a down to earth, genuine person. Honest, responsible and respectful. I'm unique, a lil outside the box, yet also fun, quite, very clean & tidy, and not into drama . A little alternative in some aspects of life. Preferably after a self contained unit/ studio/ bedsitter/ flat or even a caravan type rental. Seeking longer term rental.
We are a married couple. I am a visiting scholar at ANU and my wife is an architect who is looking for a job position in Canberra. We are not wasteful. We are quite, tidy and easygoing. We don't have any kids or pets. Also, we are not smoky and alcoholic.
Hi ! :) I am a 27 year old professional working full time, teaching myself a language! and looking to move into a shared apartment with own ensuite. I have lived in share houses and my own apartment in Sydney for roughly 6 years. Back in Canberra for about 12 months now. I enjoy cooking, getting outdoors, running and gym, sometimes bingeing on Netflix series, a few drinks on the weekend here and there, and generally keeping busy and up to date within my social circles. I am well mannered, very clean/tidy and responsible, and I respect personal space. looking to live with a female preferably. An ideal housemate for me, also has their own life but likes to chat over a glass of wine every now and then, and of course have a laugh :) Anything else you would like to know just ask ! Emily
I'm easy-going and friendly, and completely accepting of anything. I am punctual and on time with payments and I like to keep things clean. Unfortunately my landlord is selling so I have to move, and I am desperately trying to find a place. Move date is flexible.
I'm a female in late thirties, moving from Sydney to Canberra to take up a job as a health professional near the Woden Westfield. I'm a non-smoker, vegetarian, friendly and clean. I like meditation, yoga & cooking. Looking for accommodation close to Woden or with easy bus access to Woden.
We're quiet, chill and respectful homebodies. I enjoy reading, baking and swimming (though I'm not very good at baking); Hunter loves sports, movies and taking online courses. We love board games and hanging out, but we also understand that everyone has their boundaries and commitments.
I'm a quiet and shy person, I like to keep to myself but am also happy to have a yarn and a wine with some trashy netflix on in the background. Good sense of humor, reliable and tidy.
My name is Evan, I'm 20, work full-time in the public service, and study part-time at ANU. I'm doing an arts degree, with majors in anthropology and English, and speak conversational Italian. I do taekwondo, love musicals and writing (although I don't do it enough). I don't own a car, so being close to public transport is pretty important to me. I'm transgender and am starting my transition, so I would need you to be okay with that. I haven't lived independently before, so I don't really know much about the whole rental process, but I can cook decently and like baking.
Very easy going! I'm comfortable being quiet in my room and I'm comfortable socialising and having a drink with my fellow housemates. I love to cook and struggle to contain myself to making one serving so lucky you! Work at rebel so I can hook you up with sporting goods. It'll be my first time in Canberra (from Melbourne), excited to see the sights.
I am easy going, tidy, pretty quiet and love to read but am always up for a chat or just to hang out and watch a movie. I work part time at a local cinema and can bribe you with free trips to the movies. I really like music and going out to gigs and concerts. I also quite like a chill beer and bit of pool in a pub.
Hi people, my name is Jess and I'm a pharmacist looking for a room to rent in Canberra for 6 months - I'll be working in Woden so somewhere nearby or with easy bus access would be ideal. I am originally from country NSW and have worked in a number of places in Australia including Alice Springs and stunning Jervis Bay. I have house shared with people of varying ages and backgrounds and enjoy meeting new people. I am easy going and tidy and enjoy exploring outdoors, playing sport and taking every opportunity to adventure. I'll be starting work 23 July so happy to move in that weekend (21-22) or two weeks earlier if preferred (6-7 July)
Hey, I'm Jacob! I am a 27-year-old male looking for a share place in Canberra. I am easy going, social but also enjoy my own time. I also consider myself responsible and clean. It is a little strange writing about myself - but I would love to meet you and discuss the possibility of sharing something cool. In a nutshell: I am a full time public servant who enjoys sport (primarily soccer), music, movie nights, gaming, board games and hummus. Seriously hummus is really nice. Not overly phased about the location and i am flexible with a commencement date.
I am a very relaxed and outgoing person, a good story teller and somewhat good cook as well. I also enjoy me time and I'm respectful of peoples privacy. I am moving from Melbourne to complete a Masters Degree at ANU and also will be working part time in Wanniassa, hence why I'm looking for a place either closer to ANU or in between ANU and Wanniassa region. Also i prefer to share a dwelling with all female occupants :)
Hello! I am a 27 year old professional working full time. I love being outdoors, hiking, exercising, netflix and being out seeing my friends. I am friendly, respectful, tidy and will pull my own weight around the house. I am social and would be up for a beer or wine from time to time but also value my own space. Anything else you would like to know please ask :)

I'm an IT consultant of over 17 years, out-going and friendly by nature, who believes that happy living with housemates comes from mutual respect, being mindful of each other, and tidying up after yourself (especially in the kitchen and bathroom!). My professional work involves empathetically engaging with work colleagues, and I bring those same skills to how I interact with people in my everyday life. Previously having been married for 15 years and raising children/teenagers, I understand very much how to successfully navigate sharing a house where there are different perspectives on tidiness, noise levels, and different personalities. I've also lived in shared houses since then and really enjoyed those experiences of meaningfully connecting with people. I also appreciate the need for space, and using effective communication to create clear understanding about individual requirements and expectations that everyone can agree to. I have started on a 6 month contract with DHS in Canberra (June 2018). I live in Melbourne, so my search for a shared house in Canberra to stay during weekdays and occasional weekends (especially for skiing!). I'd like very much to create a feeling of "home away from home", though I am minimalist by nature so won't have that much personal property that I'll want to have with me. I enjoy cooking and work by the rule of cleaning up after myself as I go along. I enjoy being fit and active, so hoping to find time in Canberra to do dancing, cycling, indoor rock climbing, snow sports and possibly get back into yoga if the schedule permits. I also enjoy relaxing with a good movie, or some music, even a chat over a beer or glass of wine. As a professional consultant, my work responsibilities are a bit longer than 9-5, so taking time to engage in these social/healthy activities is important to me.
My name is Ye. I'm a third year medical student at ANU. I'm doing my rural rotation in Eden at the moment and I'll be back in Canberra in two weeks. I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker with no pet. I'm tidy and respectful to others. I'm out and about or studying on most days, but would love to have a chat or hang out when I'm not too busy.
