Hey there! I'm a 26 year old high school teacher looking for a housemate (and a property). Have teamed up with another girl, a grad lawyer from Melbourne moving up in January. I'm fairly quiet to live with, as I am doing full time teaching and doing my masters, so in the afternoons and weekends I am either at the gym, marking work, or studying (or stress eating). I'm very clean, I cook often, and I'm organised. I have two cats who sleep 20 hours a day and currently spend their day split indoors and out. I'd prefer someone who has lived with/likes cats, as mine are very friendly and like company.
Christy and I are early healthcare professionals finally starting our career! We are keen to get started in Canberra come 2019 and finally make a difference. We are not a couple but friends from Sydney. We met each other while we were studying at the Unversity of Sydney. Therefore, we would be looking for two separate rooms. Both of us are clean and laidback but are always up for dinner or a conversation! With that being said, we do respect the privacy of others as we like our own time to ourselves as well. Our budget is 250/week each and hope that we can find somewhere conveniently located near Westfield Woden and Canberra Hospital.
Pay rent and bills on time and clean up after ourselves. Also own a very friendly 2 year old Beagle who has all the necessary vaccinations etc. Ellie teaches young primary school students and I work on Air Conditioners. If we're not at home we're usually off somewhere coastal exploring!
I'm a lawyer (formerly a Canberra local but currently overseas) coming to Canberra for a 3 month work stint. I've lived in a lot of sharehouses and think I make a good housemate; I'm tidy, quiet and will be working weekdays and probably away every other weekend. I only need a place until mid-Feb but am flexible about location (preferably south side or city for an easy commute to Tuggeranong)! I'm interested in either a self-contained apartment/granny flat or a room in a sharehouse with its own bathroom. I look forward to hearing from you :)
i'm very ordered and clean when it comes to the house i'm very polite and kind to others and am open to ideas that benefit the place where i live, I'm a big Pc gamer who is quiet and reserved but always up for a chat regardless, hoping to find someone who is either able to relate or accept those qualities.
I’m a public servant who moved to Canberra at the beginning of the year from Queensland! I come with a bunch of furniture and a herb garden. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of people’s space. Hoping to find 1 - 2 lovely people who are equally as keen as me to live in a social but considerate house :)
Hi! I'm Alice, 24 years old and recently graduated as a dietitian. I am starting a new full time role in Canberra in Feb! I'm originally from Adelaide but have lived in Sydney for the past 2 years. I love food and cooking, sharing a wine, pets and being active. Super clean and tidy, laid-back and easy going. I enjoy socialising but also happy to spend time alone. Looking for some down to earth flat mates that share similar interests :)
Hi I'm Ethan, I am a neat person who generally doesn't say much. I enjoy playing video games and rock climbing. I recently started a new job in Canberra but have lived in the region for my whole life. I have a dog who is and optional extra, I don't need to bring her but I would prefer to. She is house trained and well behaved but will need a decent yard to stay in. I am an electrician so if there are any electrical issues around the house I can probably sort them out.
I'm a very polite, quiet person but always down to have a chat if you're up for it. I work in hospitality at a job that I love and study at UC part-time. I enjoy listening to music playing the odd video game and catching up with my friends for a coffee. I always clean up after myself and will always help out where needed. Very tidy and respectful of peoples personal space.
Hi, I'm Riley! I'm moving up to Canberra from Adelaide in early 2019 to work full-time as a legal grad. Ideal move-in date is early-mid Jan, but can be flexible in starting earlier if necessary. I'll be working in Forrest, and am especially keen on places riding distance from there. I love cooking, indoor plants, campy horror, lentils, hiking, and brunches. I'm looking for a relaxed and reasonably social queer-friendly sharehouse where people chat and share a drink or dinner every so often. I'm tidy (used to work as a cleaner and habits stick!) and reliable, but not pass-agg about it. At the moment I’m living with my partner Cam and three other people. Cam will be staying in Adelaide for 2019, however he'll be coming up to visit on weekends a few times a year and for slightly longer periods twice a year during university breaks (he works as an academic). Ideally this would include about 3 weeks in mid Jan-early Feb, but very happy to discuss how this could work. He bakes and makes excellent cauliflower curry and is very good value. Would love to hear from you! Feel free to message or text.
Hi my name is Jules! Coming from a big family I'm used to living with others and getting along with people. For me I want to move out with people that are relaxed and easy going and happy for a chat. I also respect personal space and the boundaries of other room mates. I work full time leaving early in the mornings but will be home evenings and afternoons if I'm not out playing social sports. In my downtime I like the company of others, reading, sports and chilled out Netflix sesh's. I am very independent and am able to cook/clean and care about a tidy house!!! I'm happy to live with a range of ages not really fussed.
-I'm like the most boring and responsible adult you have ever met, so the rent and bills will always be paid and I will clean up after myself and my cat. -I work full time as a management consultant (if you have seen House of Lies adjust your expectations...sadly my life is not that exciting) -I'm a great cook and I will leave you delicious treats when I make too much (often) -I work a lot so usually not home before 7 -I like outdoorsy activities so I'm often out of the house for a lot of the weekend -I'm a pretty straightforward person-if there is an issue just tell me and we can sort it out. I have a strict no BS policy and am not interested in being passive agressive or game playing-life is short! -I have a beautiful but shy cat called Rosa. Like myself, food is the way to her heart
I'm fairly quiet but I'm always up for a good board game or card game. I work reception for a physio in the city 4 days a week. I'm not overly active but I do like to do my own thing at the gym or go to a class. I love to show off my cat, Elizabeth. She does not work. She's 13yo and snoozes most of the day. She loves to be around people so having housemates would be really good for her happiness.
I'm Josie, 25, working part time, studying part-time (Vet Nursing). My partner Mitchell is 23, and is studying full-time. We have a little dog, named Harley. He's a corgi x, he's five years old, well behaved, very obedient and LOVES cuddles! Mitch and I don't drink, or take drugs, however we do smoke tobacco. We would prefer to live with like-minded people, or social drinkers. Neither of us are very big on partying. We are looking for a short-term stay, but if we find the right place, we're happy to make it long-term.
I’m a full time pube, love the gym but equally love a good beer! Like to socialise but also like to be a hermit and bulk watch tv shows. Preferably queer friendly :) Looking for an unfinished room and somewhere with a garage of shed to store a small amount of camping stuff!
I am pretty quiet, enjoy tea, chats and have great taste in TV & poetry. I'm currently working part-time in the community sector and loving it! Canberra has got me hooked on latin partner dancing, yeah I didn't see this hobby coming either :p At home, I like to cook with fresh veggies, do yoga and try my hand at gardening.
Hi there! I am clean, tidy, friendly and easy going person who respects people’s privacy. Often cook, occasionally drink. I work full time and have 1-2 days off in which I prefer to sleep and go for dinner with friends. I have been in Canberra since 2013 living in same house with landlady who treat me as a daughter. The reason to move i want to rent with 1-2 people. I am an honest person having simple thoughts. Live n let live is my motto. Happy to get a lease if team up with friendly person.
