Hi I'm a pretty standard 20-something looking to move into a share house. I've been living solo for the last 18 months and would now like to find a more social living arrangement that's also close to work. I come debt and drama free and like to think I've got a pretty good handle on being an adult, so no need to worry about any of the small stuff. All bills always paid on time, I'll even remember to put the bin out. I have a Suzuki Swift (nice and small) and a motorcycle, so looking for some form of parking as my only must. They can both fit in one space, though preference is to have the bike off the street. I work full time + study (APS), have family in Canberra and a couple of hobbies/commitments throughout the week, so Monday - Friday I'm usually out of the house at least a few nights. If I am home I'll be looking forward to something low-key, though always have energy to go to a restaurant etc. I'm an ex Landscaper, so if there's a garden to look after I'll be an asset to the household. I like to be neat and tidy, minimal where I can be and don't mind rolling up my sleeves for what ever reason. I come with everything I need, and am happy to either leave things behind or contribute in the way of furniture or appliances depending on the setup and where I can. Fun wise, I don't mind a night out with friends, a night in with friends, bbqs, movie night on the couch, walks up the mountains, all the normal stuff. I don't think there is anything I get up to that one would call weird, nor is there anything I specifically hate doing :) Just like to have a good time. Look forward to meeting you.
Hey! I'm a friendly and considerate full time working professional looking for a peaceful place in Canberra's inner suburbs. I love the outdoors, a good book, and baking a tasty sourdough bread. I'm hoping to find some easy-going and social housemates to live with.
Hi I'm looking to share share short term from Jan 6 to March 31 with a possible extension to June and hopefully, beyond. If you have space for a house panther or are looking to find a property, then I'm happy to team-up for a long term lease. I'm an APS worker and I've been spending my weekends chillin' and checking out Canberra's art scene. I like it here! There's so much on! The basic stuff: My budget is 250-300per week ex-bill's. I'm happy to share an apartment with one person or a house with two. Please only message me if your listing is within the suburbs I've specified, Cheers. Other good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like walks and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly spring weather has been a surprise! I will happily have a preemptive chat with you about heating and elect bills in case I'm around long enough to need it next year. One other thing: if you happen to be offering a) town a house b) a ground floor unit b) anywhere that's pet friendly and you've always dreamt of sharing your pad a handsome house panther...I know a guy. Cheers, Rose
Hey, just moved to Canberra to live the APS dream. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of both your belongings and your space. I’m easy going, enjoy sports, a beer or wine after work, chilling with friends and getting away on the weekends. Looking forward to meeting you.
Hi everyone! I'm coming over to Canberra for six months to work as an intern at the Dutch Embassy! I'd like to have a bed to sleep in, so I'm hoping someone could take me in or would like to find something with me! I'm 23yo, half Dutch half British, so I can teach you some useless Dutch words or enjoy some beers after work! I'd say I'm very easy going and I love meeting new people. Let me know if you have any info for me! X
Moving to Canberra for work. I am pretty laid back. I like my alone time, but also like hanging out with people and sharing dinner and/or a glass of wine. Hoping to find nice, easy-to-live with flatmates. Four-legged flatmates are a big bonus. Interests include gardening, books, travel, nature walks, live music and so on.
I'm a 23yr old that works part time at the moment as I'm planning on going back to study. Looking for a place not too far from the city as I work there. I do sometimes work odd hours, however I can guarantee I'm super quiet when I get home (can provide references lol). Not a huge partier, but love a beverage and to socialise. Would promise to be respectful for all potential housemates but it would be fantastic if we could hangout every once in a while (maybe even become mates).
Current lease ends in March 2019, looking for a place to move in immediately after that > full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
I'm a quiet country fella, from northern NSW. I'll be working compressed hours and getting back to the farm as much as possible. I'm a relaxed sort of person - I don't mind a chat and I'm equally happy to respect privacy and personal space. I've gotta say I'm a pretty average cook but a healthy eater. For those weekends I'll be in Canberra, I'm looking forward to enjoying the green space and catching up with friends. But I also don't mind binge-watching trashy TV:) I’d prefer to be within walking distance of work in Barton.
I will be moving from Wollongong to CBR to study a master of science communication outreach at ANU in 2019 and am looking for a place near the university to reside next year. Beside study and part-time work commitments I enjoy being outside and staying physically active.
I am from Thailand. I have been awarded a full scholarship to study abroad and am attending a postgraduate program in biological science at ANU next year. I am kind of shy but always nice to make new friends. I love to learn new things and share experiences with other people. I love travelling and outdoor activities like hiking and diving. I enjoy watching fantasy movies or TV series, reading young adult literatures and listening to various kinds of music in my free time. My cooking skill is poor but I am trying. I am looking for a furnished, quiet room.
I'm easy going and social. I work relatively long hours but enjoy a drink and a chat to unwind. I'm active with commitments most evenings and some mornings. I'm returning to Canberra after living abroad for three years.
Hi! I'm a 29 year old (Northern) Territory raised guy working full time and have been living in Canberra for 6 years. I'm an easy going person, clean and fairly tidy looking for like minded individuals to share a home as my old navy mates have been posted away and I need to find somewhere new. I enjoy socializing but also enjoy me time and will respect others in return, I am a smoker however not in or around the property. I like movies and most other forms of entertainment, cooking then testing the results on willing volunteers, or conversation over a glass of red. WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room however a pre-furnished room is fine, In addition if you need extra furniture, kitchen appliances, utensils etc let me know as I have most of it in storage. If you'd like to know more let me know, happy to chat or meet over a coffee, I am also happy to provide references.
Hi, I'm Toni! I am moving back to Canberra next year and am looking for a place to stay. I am flexible with short-term or long-term stays, preferably a furnished room. I am currently working in hospitality and very laid back. When I am not at work, chances are you'll find me watching/playing sport, hanging out with some friends, going for bush walks or going for a swim. I am tidy, know how to pull my weight in the house, am sociable but respect the privacy of others.
Hello, I am a Sommelier studying my Master of Wine while managing a fine dining restaurant in Canberra. I enjoy a chat but have my nose in wine books most of the time. The owner of my current house is moving back and I am on the lookout for a new place to live and a bunch of new friends to meet.
Hey there! I'm Louie - 25 years old originally from Sydney. Moving down to Canberra in mid-January to start a new job. I'm a tidy but easy-going housemate who enjoys all the cliche things (reading, getting outdoors, watching rugby) and a few non-cliche things (playing guitar, cooking etc.). I'm a super relaxed housemate who enjoys getting away on the weekends and meeting new people. Also fairly proficient at Spanish. Looking for a sharehouse/apartment for under $220 p/wk, ideally something close to Civic. Flexible on pretty much everything else. Shoot me a message and say g'day if you think you may have something :)
Hi all, I'm Liz and I am moving up from Sydney to start work at the National Film and Sound Archive in early 2019. I enjoy an active life style and like running and hiking in the bush. I'm also an avid reader and enjoy getting out and seeing live music or comedy on occasion or the odd movie. I'm friendly and enjoy a good chat and a beer but I definitely value alone time and I'm well past the phase of life of living with a lot of noise and parties. I tend to go out to socialise and go home to chill out and read or watch some TV or listen to music. I like to cook at home but I clean up after myself and enjoy a clean and tidy environment. I'm looking to move to Canberra long term as I have a permanent position but I'm open to temporary stays to start with as I get settled so any short term places are great as well.
I am very friendly and enjoy meeting new people! I like to go out and try new bars, restaurants and cafes. I also like to keep fit. I’m originally from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a graduate position. I’m looking for some like-minded flatmates, who like to try new things and would be excited to explore Canberra with me.
I have probably most accurately been described as "that busy Buddhist". I like to balance myself with the right combination of driven, social and zen. Coming up to Canberra from Melbourne to join the DET grad program; I like board games, hikes, dinners and coffee with friends (and housemates) and getting up early because I am an odd morning person. I am looking for a place that balances enjoying each others company with understanding that we gots our own lives. Somewhere to feel comfortable both when I'm craving a chin-wag and when I want to crash in my room and mediate all night. Hit me up if this sounds about right!
Working full time at the National Film and Sound Archive, so not only can I pay the rent on time, but am an authority on music, film and TV and would be an excellent addition to any pub trivia team. At home, I like to cook for myself and others, and you don't need to nag me to do the washing up; an important quality in any housemate. In my spare time, you'll find me beavering away at my sewing machine, fixing, altering and making clothes in an attempt to reinvigorate my wardrobe. I like to talk politics and culture over a beer, though I have been trying my hand at mixing cocktails, the results of which I'm happy to share with my fellow housemates. I don't take up much space, with only a desk, drawers and bed to bring with me. I get around town on my bicycle or my Vespa scooter, so I don't need a car space either. Cheers, Amy
