Hi there, 23 year old male originally from Perth but now call Canberra home. Originally I moved for an APS job and have been here since the start of this year. I am looking to move more central from my current unit in Woden. If you are new to town, I can show you around and introduce you to some hidden gems! As a housemate I typically work long hours during the week but love having fun with friends on weekend. In winter you will find me on the slopes whilst in summer you will find me playing cricket or soccer. I also enjoy just hanging out with friends and watching the big game over a couple of beers. I am someone who can be quite chatty but at the same time recognise that often after a long day of work (or a big night) it is best for everyone to have their own space. As I am from Perth I don't get to home often so you will find me in Canberra most weekends. As a housemate I come with nearly new fridge, couch, dining table, and TV cabinet. I can also supply a TV and xbox along with netflix and foxtel subscription if that is more your interest. Looking to live with 1-2 similarly like minded, tidy people who are at a similar stage in life.
Currently in my mid-twenties, I will be relocating to Canberra in January 2020 for work reasons. A clean, friendly and easy-going individual from Melbourne, I like to stay active after work and unwind at home with a good book, wine, or over trashy reality shows. I drink socially, but do not smoke.
I would consider myself to be clean, respectful and houseproud. I will be in Canberra for 6 months on a contract in the APS, full-time. Not looking for a party house, somewhere with parking (on or off street) with people preferably around the same age as me, likeminded and fun but mature. Suburbs I’m interested in are mostly around Parliament House/Manuka. Flexible with length of stay, even short term is fine for now. Please reach out if you think you have a room that would suit x
Hi folks, I'm Eddy and having lived in Melbourne all my life, I'm finally branching out a bit! I'll be working full time as a public servant but also be studying at the same time at Canberra Institute of Tech. I'd say I'm an agreeable person who makes sure to keep a clean space. I love to meet new people and am always down for a nice hang out, but I also make sure everyone has their own time, space and privacy as that is something I value as well. As for things I like to do, I'm a fan of fast cars, motorcycles and stretching that cardio on some great runs while some of my more sedate hobbies are writing stories and going stargazing.
My names Michael. Im a Young professional who will be joining APS in February and hoping to move to canberra in December. Im a quiet person who will like their personal space. - Im likely to stay with the place for a minimum of 18 months (I'm not an apartment jumper). - I'd have a car and would be willing to give you a lift to places if im also headed out. - I like a good chat, but im a very quiet person (you wont be hearing loud blaring music from my room disturbing you) - Id be down to clean with you or split the cost of a cleaner (whichever is your preference) - I've held numerous leadership positions throughout my career and university (as testament to my considerate personality) and would be very respectful to ensuring that we share a good relationship. - I never leave dirty dishes around and will take the initiative to bring out trash if its full. - I always pay rent on time. Hope this helps to illustrate that I would be a good roommate. Looking forward to your reply!
I am relocating from the Gold Coast to Canberra in mid November to start full-time work. A couple of years ago I moved over from Colombia and I recently finished my Masters in Accounting at Bond University. I’m a clean and friendly person that respects each other’s space. In my spare time, I enjoy walking along the beach (which I will miss), going on hikes, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places.
I'm 22, moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a new job in government. I love reading, sport, a good brunch out (and the chance to explore new cafes, of which I'm hoping Canberra has many!). I've just finished up a dual degree while also working at an eco friendly store called Biome for 5 years, and am keen to move to Canberra, make some friends, and work hard. I enjoy having a good chat, but also like a bit of time to myself to recharge, so I reckon I could find a good balance with my fellow flatmates based on their needs as well as mine.
I am moving from Perth in January to start a graduate program in the public sector. I am an easy going person who is tidy, respectful, and used to living in share housing. I ideally would like to live with some people who are keen to share their favourite spots around Canberra, or willing to go exploring. I enjoy going to the gym, swimming, trying new food places, and being outdoors.
Hi ! I’m Julita, a student from Brussels, Belgium. I’m going to do an internship at the Belgian embassy in Yarralumla and I need to find an accommodation. I’m looking for a place to live from the week of November 25th to February 2. I’m 22 yo, easy-going, tidy, respectful and social person. I’ll work full time from 9-4 Monday to Friday in Yarralumla. I would love to be walking distance to the cafes, bars and close to the city. I’m thinking of buying a bike to get around easily. In my spare time I practice tennis and used to dance ballet. On weekends, I like to go out, do sightseeing, hiking or simply reading books. It depends on the mood and things I have to do. During the week, I try to find some time to work on my master’s thesis (I’m in my final year of uni). I guess my English is not perfect as I would like it to be but I’m working on it. I’m looking for a positive and friendly flatmates who doesn’t mind having a glass of wine (or beer) or doing their own thing either. Feel free to send me a message if it's you! About the place, I’m looking for a furnished room and preferably bike ride away from the embassy, max $300/wk preferably bills inc.
Hi, Im an easy going fellow working up to 5 days a week Mon-Fri in construction in ACT and spend my weekends in SYD. I like to chill out after work, cook my dinner and might have a beer. I'm easy to live with, can clean up after myself and be social and/or keep to myself. I am very mindful of those around me as well as respectful of personal space/privacy.
Hey! I'm Ella, a young professional working in the APS. Easy going, love a chat but also super respectful of space and privacy. I love to read, draw, and hang out with friends. Pet-friendly :) (i.e. would LOVE it if you had a dog). Looking for a place around the $200 mark, and at least 6 month stay but flexible on both!
