Ayden and I are both active individuals who enjoy our downtime when at home. We're both road cyclists and train 15-20 hours per week & are often away racing. Other than cycling, I'm doing my Masters in Architecture at the University of Canberra. Ayden is super easy going and can get along with just about anyone. He spends a lot of the year traveling with races. Looking for a tidy place where we can feel at home.
We are a friendly and clean couple who both work full time (Jonas as a mechanic and myself as a consultant). When we're not working we’re at sport or uni, but also enjoy relaxing and finding new places to eat and drink. We're originally from the South Coast so often go home to visit on weekends. We’re looking to move from our current accommodation soon but are flexible with dates.
My name is Daniela and I am from Switzerland. From August on I will do a five months internship at the Swiss embassy in Canberra. I am already a bit used to the Australian lifestyle, cause in 2016 i spent 6 months in beautiful Australia as an exchange student at the University of Wollongong. :) If the weather is great, nothing keeps me inside. I like going to festivals, doing sports and even more I have a weakness for pizza, (but you do not have to be afraid, that I will eat your chocolate, even tough I am Swiss I do not like it ;)) I am of course also clean and tidy ;)
Hi! I'm from India and have a Bachelors' Degree in Architecture. July 2018 i begin with my Masters' Degree at the ANU. Love travelling / exploring and have many tales to tell from the various journeys I've had. Am highly adaptable and quick at socialising. Also, I'm extremely meticulous in everything I do and very particular about cleanliness.
I'm a 29 year old guy who recently moved to Canberra to work in the APS. I did a PhD in physics before changing careers into policy. I'm an easy-going, approachable, and clean person who's not shy of having a cup of tea here and there. I like books, cool ideas, and the occasional adventure.
I originaly come from Yass, NSW but I am now working full time at old Parliament House as a barrister and waiter (8am to 5pm) I enjoy cooking and eat almost anything, I'm also ok with vegetarian and vegan. I am a very clean and tidy person and I like coming home after a long days work to a clean house. I am an easy going person and easy to get along with, I like socializing at the end of the day and on weekends; for instance sharing dinner together or having a drink. In my free time I like to draw, read and watch movies. I do enjoy getting outside and longboarding as well as hiking when I get the chance. I understand the importance of privacy and I will 100% respect it. I have lived with other families and people and do have valuable experience.
Quiet mature postgraduate student seeks short term stay accommodation for upto 3 months whilst undertaking a government internship.
I am currently working in a cafe and a bottle shop and am trying to start up a cleaning business. Ben is a 3rd year electrical apprentice. We are a very respectful and tidy young couple who are always keen to help out around the house. We are looking for house mates that can have a chat, but can also respect our privacy. We are both massive dog lovers! We are okay with cats as long as they are friendly! We would prefer somewhere on the south side but are open to anywhere in Canberra/Queanbeyan. Please let me know if we sound like people you would be interested in living with :)
I'm a current honours student at ANU studying Psychology and working part time in functions. I'm open to pretty much any housing situation. In my spare time I enjoy reading, the gym and the odd video game.
I am a student from Belgium and for an internship in Australia, I am looking for a place to stay somewhere near Canberra. My internship starts in February 2019. I am an easy going person who is friendly and likes doing all kinds of things. Meeting new people, a good hike in nature and doing sports are a couple of my favourite things to do.
Hi there! I’m a Chilled out, 28 year old looking for a place where I can come home after work in the city and jump on my laptop. I gym most nights after work. I’m quiet and very respectful of my room mates privacy and comfort. I have very little furniture I just need a place to stick my bed. I’m comfortable living with women, men, animals, LGBTQI. Currently single.
Hi there, I am a long-time Canberra resident finishing off the PhD this year and have started a new position at the ANU. I have shared houses for many years and am looking for a new place with some down-to-earth folks. I'm staying at a friend's place so my move date is pretty flexible too. I've been in Aus for 14 years (og from the US) and been a perpetual student most of that time. Looking forward to finishing study and only having one job for a change. I love the inner north Canberra and would like to live in a house. I've been living in share situations for awhile and respect other people's space. Good housemate qualifications: tidy, friendly, quiet, love to cook (esp new things) and going on random adventures. I am fairly active - my pref is hot yoga, not-a-big-tv watcher but also not adverse to a late night binge on Netflix and I like to have a drink or two when the occasion calls for it and if cheese is involved all the better. I am house-proud and like to keep things nice though not a freak about it, I have a lot of furniture and a cat. Her name is Bean and she is very quiet (she can't really meow) and loves her personal space, i.e. will sit nearby but not within reach. She's lives with a dog now so she could handle a chilled doggie housemate. Contact me if you're interested in starting a new place - or if you have a place and can find room for me, Bean and my stuff. Peace
Hi, As a housemate, I am very conscientious of cleaning and tidying up after myself in shared spaces as well as keeping the noise level down during your sleep periods - that of course goes well with being responsible over bills, rent and so on. As a person, I love a good chat, sharing food or a drink. I would be of the house for work 7am to 6pm Monday to Fridays while my weekends are typically a mix of quiet home time (reading, movies, games, study) or being out socialising (meals, drinks, walks and so on). I am super open minded and non judgemental and genewrally get on well with almos everyone as well as supporting my peeps where I can. Happy to provide a reference from previous housemates and previous landlord. Thanks for reading, John
Hey guys, I just finished my studies for Engineering and keen to start working. I am originally from Brisbane so moving to Canberra is a new experience and i'm really looking forward to it. A bit about myself, I'm laid back and enjoy other peoples company. I love cars, bikes, fitness and recently have taken up photography. In my spare time I enjoy a good neflix binge, play some games and watch some sports. Apart from that I'm very clean, don't smoke and an amateur cook. Look forward to hearing from you.
I was born in the US, but I have been studying in the Netherlands and Germany for my Masters and PhD, respectively. I will be coming to Canberra two times (First time: 4 months starting October 2018, and second: 8 months starting October 2019) to work as an electron microscopist as part of a dual PhD program between the ANU and Humboldt University of Berlin. I am a very reserved and quiet housemate. When I am home, I use my little free time reading, cleaning, cooking, some yoga, and making an ungodly amount of ice coffee. My bike has been my primary form of transportation for the past 5 years, so I am looking forward to being in a city that caters to that. I take my work very seriously, and it is not uncommon for me to work from 10-12 hours a day. For this reason, it is very important for me to find a respectful housemate(s) in a calm environment. Although I like to be social with my housemates with the occasional shared meal or coffee, I am largely independent I will likely spend time in my room. I listed a few suburbs of Canberra I am interested in, but really I don't have much of a limitation. If you think you have a similar living preference, and would like to speak further, feel free to send a message :)
I'm looking for a place in the beginning of September. I currently live in Yarralumla, but will do a bit of travelling over the next period of time and therefore looking for a new place when I get back. I'm originally from Denmark, but live and work in Canberra while studying online. I am pretty active - playing soccer at ANU and am into hiking and running. Ideally I seek a room in a sharehouse with awesome flatmates who would be up for cooking or having a glass of wine occasionally but also respect privacy. Otherwise, I'm pretty easy going :) Hit me up if you have anything!
I am easy going, tidy, pretty quiet and love to read but am always up for a chat or just to hang out and watch a movie. I work part time at a local cinema and can bribe you with free trips to the movies. I really like music and going out to gigs and concerts. I also quite like a chill beer and bit of pool in a pub.
Hello! We are a friendly couple who have recently relocated to Canberra from Wanaka, NZ. We both work full time and are looking for a nice house that don't mind a beer and a chat and some snacks. We are into skiing, biking, food etccc. Happy to meet up for a coffee to have a chat
Hello everyone, my name is Debora. I am an independent dance artist (teaching dance, choreography, performance, events) and I also work in hospitality part-time. I am living in Canberra since 2015 and I like it very much. I also like to travel around Australia or overseas to take dance courses and give workshops when possible. I have It/Au Citizenship and every few years I try to visit my family in Italy. I am a quite dynamic person but I also like to have some quite time on my one when at home (work, study, meditate..). I like nature and to go for walks when I have some time. I am allergic to cats and dogs. I am tidy. Nice to meet you!
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Hi, I'm Lauren. I've recently got an administrative full time job in the public service and looking to move in mid July. I'm neat, quiet and easy to get along with. I like the occasional glass of wine and watch some TV in the evenings. I will be interested in how your day went but will respect your privacy at the same time. I'm also quite interested in french language and culture so if you have any passion or knowledge of this too, that would be amazing!
