Hi. I'm an easy-going, tidy, reliable, respectful, and responsible flatmate. I'm looking for a room, preferably furnished and with own ensuite/bathroom, for six months. I have a great job - I'm a UX Designer - and sometimes travel for work. I'm renovating a house in Orange, so I head back there at least one weekend a month. I enjoy travel, trivia, board games, movies (especially foreign and arthouse), TV/Netflix, cooking, swimming and reading.
Early twenties, female, incredibly sporty- I race mountain bikes and require a place that has secure indoor space for 3 push bikes and other general garage items. Love company, friendly and open for chats/dinners etc. Also respect others privacy and need for down time. I am working as a shift worker for the government- so will be sleeping odd hours. Love music. Clean and tidy. Love the outdoors.
Hi, I am a quiet, clean friendly girl who likes company and a chat but also really likes coming home at the end of day and spending time alone. I enjoy playing a bit of sport, relaxing with a wine and trashy tv and going out with friends. Whilst I enjoy being social but tend not to have friends over too regularly. I am clean and respectful, open and happy to chat about any concerns or requirements that you may have in regards to being housemates.
I'll be moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I'm pretty relaxed and respectful of personal space. I'd also like to live someone who is reasonably tidy. I'm not overly talkative, but I think I'm a good listener. i enjoy playing and watching sport, watching TV shows, reading, playing board games and exploring the city.
Hi, I'm a student from the Netherlands and I'm going to work at the Dutch embassy for 6 months. Therefor I'm looking for a nice place to stay in Canberra. I'm a social guy who likes to hang out, grab a beer, or do something active together. I myself are an enthousiastic speed skater and cyclist and I love movies!
Student from Melbourne coming to Canberra for 2-3 months to complete an internship. Looking for affordable accommodation for my time here. I am relaxed, clean and tidy, easy to get along with and respectful. Looking for similarly relaxed people/students.
I'm a student at ANU looking to move off campus. I'm 19, and moved to Canberra from Newcastle at the start of this year. I am completing a Policy Studies/Arts degree at ANU as well as working. I have my own car, I'm a non-smoker and a social drinker but not a big partier. I'm neat and tidy, and will work with housemates to keep the place clean. I'm keen to start exploring more of Canberra, and hope to get some bushwalking and small trips done in the uni breaks. I'm looking to move in early September, and would love to find somewhere I can stay for most or all of my degree, so 9 month or longer contracts are preferable.
I'm a mid-20s professional looking for a friendly, respectful and hopefully hygienic sharehouse. I like to do my own thing most of the time but I also like the odd shared drink after a long day. I love movie nights (Game of Thrones!), video gaming, spending time with friends and drinking way too much tea. Ideally I'd like a medium to large room to fit my Queen bed, desk and bookshelf. I work in Belconnen but I'm mostly interested in finding the right people and a decent room, so anywhere in Canberra is fine by me. Totally happy to start up a new sharehouse too. Message me if you want to meet up over coffee or have a room available!
Hey guys, I'm Bridget, a friendly and pretty chill 23yr old, originally from country NSW. I moved to Canberra for Uni but after graduating last year I'm working full time south side, so I'm interested in most suburbs in Canberra's south. I'm a very social person but understand the need for space especially in a share house. I love music, going on a good Netflix binge, forcing myself to go to the gym, and having a cheeky wine. Looking for about a 6 month lease but open to flexibility if need be. Feel free to give me a buzz if you have anything you want to ask!
Hey there potential roomies! My names Ellie I'm a fun loving nurse working full time at canberra hospital. I am clean and tidy and have expierienced sharehousing situations before. I love to bake and am always happy to chat with my flatmates. I am looking at getting a pet dog soon but can hold off if not a pet friendly home. I do have a boyfriend who will sleep over some nights. I tend to stick to my private areas and will be working early and afternoon shifts. If i sound ideal to you please shoot me a message. I really need accomodation asap as my previous agreement fell through.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and fairly adjustable. I like to socialize but at the same time do my own thing. Really love to cook, play a few sports (cricket, football) and learning to play the guitar (New hobby :p). Would preferably look for an accommodation in south Canberra or city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
Need a place to live for my internship from 14th July - 16th of October. I already have a houseshare but I keep looking for other options from 14th August - 16th Oct! The dream location will be Yarralumla (close to the Embassy). I love food: both cooking and eating, I am super sporty: must run or go to gym or any other workout almost every day. I like hanging around, I am a sociable person but not a must that the roommate shares the same. Respect to each other and loyalty are the most important features! I'm pretty outgoing, like get to known new things. I also fancy late night evenings with sunset and early calls.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. Peter is 24, an audiologist who will be working on Northbourne Avenue. You can expect us to keep our area tidy and clean, contribute to our fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I am in my 50's, single, kids are all grown and flown. I am Canberra born and bred, single, kids have all grown up. I can cook, and being a home renovator I'm pretty good at fixing things I own a 5 year old Jack Russell who is extremely people/kid friendly. She needs to have some secure outside space. If you'd like to know more please give me a call or send a message.
I'm a friendly, easygoing, clean and tidy, social housemate with lots of share housing experience. I want to live in a house where housemates enjoy the occasional dinner and drinks together, and are able to have friends over occasionally, but who are also independent and respectful of each other's space. I work in the APS, studied law and philosophy, and love hiking, yoga, cooking, reading and squash. And more! I like to be busy, to travel and meet new people, and to explore new interests. I'm looking to meet like-minded people to share a house or apartment with, in a location cycling-distance to Barton, and am flexible in my moving dates. Ideally the available room would be large, and preferably with its own bathroom (but not necessarily needed).
Hi Everyone! Looking in these suburbs and surrounding! My name is Zac and I'm a 24 year old who's moving from Melbourne to Canberra to start his career in Psychology. I'm an easy-going, out-going and fun person to be around, I am respectful of others but like the idea of moving not only into a house, but a home. I'm reliable and honest and have a vast interest in many different activities. My move date is 18/08 so I know it's pretty soon but even something short term would be great!! Looking forward to meeting like-minded out-going people and starting a new life in Canberra!!
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand ! I am up for a Skype if you consider it helpful, just send me a message.
Hey there, I'm originally from Singapore and have been living in Sydney for the past 4 years. I will be relocating to ACT for work in 2 weeks, and I work in events/ hospitality so am fairly sociable, but at the same time I really enjoy my alone time. I've never been to Canberra before so would need some help with settling in, because of the short lead time I am pretty anxious! Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!
I'm moving to Canberra on 28 Aug 17 from Singapore , looking for a room to rent. I love to travel and learn foreign language and new culture. I am a tidy and easy going person.
Moved to Canberra from Sydney for public service work. I am independent, tidy, and considerate of others, having lived in shared accommodation my whole adult life. I like having a good convo or sharing a laugh or listening to music. I also look to keep fit, and enjoy being a foodie. I don't usually cook my own food though. If you have a place in a house, or want to team up to get one to share, let me know. Looking to move by the 30th of August. Happy to meet up.
Currently working full time at the Canberra Hospital. Looking for a new place to live ! Easy going, social person ,single, Need quality internet to function 😂. I am part owner of a doggo a couple times a week. She is cute af :) kayaking , fishing , running , cheeky beers, brunch 👌.
I am currently cycle touring around Australia (since March) and will be coming back to Canberra on the 15th August. I am looking for a place (preferably furnished) in the Inner South as I have put all my furniture in storage. I work full time and am reasonably mature. I can be quiet at times but do also like to be social and enjoy the occasional drink with flatmates. I think I am reasonably clean and neat and would hope for the same with anyone I an sharing with. I'm fairly keen on cycling and a large part of my social life is taken up with that. The only thing I need space for is 3 bicycles (2 of which could probably go in my room). I don't have a car (do all my commuting by bike/walking or car share - so a car space is not an issue for me. Oh and that terrible hair growth on my face goes when I get back from my trip. Having never gone more than 3 days without shaving I was curious to see what would result. :-)
Im a 30 yo full time worker, in a Italian restaurant in Kingston as a chef. Originally from Brazil, living in Canberra for the past 7 years. I'm a open mind person like to spend some time watching tv and some glass of wine with my Flatmate's, but also enjoy my own space after a long day at work ( around 14 hours). I'm clean and organise but also reliable with my responsibility, I love pets and on my days off like to spend some time cleaning the house, or going outside I into sports and a healthy life. Also like traveling to Syd to visit my friends.
Hi...I'm making the big move up to Canberra from Melbourne and am looking for somewhere to stay short term / long term while I settle in. I love travel, good food and laughing. Looking for a place close to work, shops and restaurants.
I'm a 20 year old male, just did my 1st year living away from home in shared accommodation in Deakin which is a little crowded for me now. I'm with the AFP and am work focused, I love my sports and fitness. I am very social and love meeting new people, have a tight group of colleagues that I hang with, so I am occasionally away on weekends. Looking for a long term residence near Barton on the door step of my workplace, as I walk everywhere mostly as my car is interstate with the parents in Queensland.
Hi Flatmates, Joss H (housemate 2015/2016) said I am "Fun, easy going and relaxed. Love to laugh but also very responsible and well mannered". 2015/16 I was living back home in Western Australia working as an Events Manager but have made the move back to the east coast to attend Canberra University and work part -time in HR. I have been staying with family in Murrumbateman while I found my feet here in the ACT but the commute is starting to take its toll. In Wa I was living with some married friends one of which works in Brazil so one minute it was a girls house and for every second month its a mixed house (I'm adaptable). After growing up in Margaret River I enjoy a good vino instead of a night out.My old housemate Emma D always calls me up for a laugh and a good dance around the house when I'm home. I love cooking dinners to catch up with my housemates but also enjoy a good balanced household where everyone does their own thing. If you think you could live with an outgoing, caring human, send me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you. *I have plenty of references if needed.
I'm quiet, clean, love a mix of time to myself and keeping company. I love boardgames and will probably Lok to explore some of the nature reserves whilst I'm in Canberra (moving from Sydney for work) :). Moving from Sydney I have a load of kitchen gear (including appliances), a couch, a tv, a coffee table, table and chairs to contribute to setting up a place.
I'm friendly, easy-going, conscientious, neat and tidy and pretty quiet. I work full time as a vet nurse, a job I absolutely love. In my spare time you'll find me relaxing, watching a movie or TV show, going to markets, out for dinner or walking my dog. I'm in no way a party animal, though I'm not opposed to a glass of wine or two. I like to keep a clean house and nothing annoys me more than people who can't clean up after themselves. I really have no huge preference to suburbs in Canberra. So yes, I have a dog. I also have two cats. Tommy is a 6yr old DSH who does nothing but sleep. Maxie is about 1.5yrs, also DSH. She's very sweet and a bit of a homebody. Roy is a small poodle mix, 7kg, about 1yr old, quite timid when he first meets people but a real character once he's happy and comfortable. The cats are outside during the day, inside at night and, being a vet nurse, I'm lucky enough to be able to take Roy with me to work every day! Both cats are litter trained and Roy is house trained. All three are up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. Can provide referees.
I'm friendly, quiet and clean. I enjoy hiking, running, snowboarding & hanging out with my dog Remi. I come from Melbourne and am moving to Canberra to work full time as a public servant and am also studying my masters of International Relations. I would enjoy having a chat or a beer with you but am also happy to have alone time. Remi is a 9 month old Australian Shepherd who loves people and other dogs. He sleeps outside but is very affectionate and will want to hangout with his roomates.
