I am originally from the UK but have lived in Australia on and off since 2013 (mostly on). I have been back in the UK since July 2023 and am looking to move back to Brisbane end of September/beginning of October. I wont have a car and so need somewhere that is easily accessible by public transport. I am a nurse and plan to apply for jobs over the next few months so that I will be employed when I get back to Australia. This means I will be doing shift work so ideally need a housemate who can be respectful of this. I am friendly, clean and tidy. I love to travel and see new places. But also enjoy spending days off relaxing at home and binging the latest series I am into. Happy to socialise but also enjoy spending time alone. I won’t be out partying every weekend but don’t mind the odd night out/a few cocktails. As I will be coming from the UK I would ideally like a room with air con (otherwise I may die) 😂. I am looking for a place where I have my own bathroom and would prefer to share with only 1 other housemate. I’d love to be a little bit south of the city, Annerley/Dutton Park area, or anywhere close to a train line would be best- as long as access to PT and amenities are nearby. I have quiet hobbies like reading, writing, drawing, walking, scenic photography and wildlife photography. I’m also learning to speak Spanish as I hope to visit South America in 2027. Love going to gigs, or out for a game of pool. I’m dedicated when it comes to cleaning up after myself, not wanting to clean up after others but past experience has taught me best to get on with it than wait for the “special occasion” - usually prior to quarterly inspections If you have pets that’s an awesome bonus, I love animals too but have none to accompany me. ) I love gardening and have somewhat of a green thumb, so happy to help outdoors with plants if needed. I’ll disclose the fact that I vape, it’s prescription liquid and very discreet, low vapour emission and I can use it outside. I’m easy to talk to and value the social aspect of sharing a home with others, that being said I do respect the need for privacy as I also enjoy my alone time and consider myself to be a quiet person, not to be confused with boring. I’m currently dealing with a back injury which is limiting my ability to work at full capacity. Im looking for work that will allow more movement throughout the day as I’m literally in severe pain if I have to sit down for long periods of time.
