My place is directly opposite Rushall train station which is 15 mins to Flinders, the 86 tram is 5 mins walk away getting you to Northcote and Collingwood in no time! There’s a big open lounge and kitchen area, laundry, back yard, front yard and good shower pressured shower! My room has an air conditioning unit and is on its own floor so is nice and private.
The property is in a inner suburb but at the same time it is pretty close to the cbd if needed. The house is in front of a creek, for nature lovers, it is amazing. Everyday you get to hear the singing of birds, ducks and some others animals.
We're in a great little spot, which is 5 minutes walk from Westgarth cinema, Terra Madre and heaps of cafes. Eddy gardens and Northcote plaza are both 15 minute walks away for all your dog watching and affordable grocery shopping needs. Public transport is also great - short walking distance from Rushall, Merri, Westgarth stations and the 86 and 11 trams. Plus some buses which I forget the names of. There's also a bunch of bike tracks if you're coordinated enough to ride one (I am not, however you are welcome to use my bike which currently receives very little love) The building has 8 flats in total and the neighbours are lovely. The flat itself is in really good knick (nick?) despite being pretty old (as you can see by the hideous, or rather, kitsch, salmon paint) - that's why the rent is so cheap! The landlords are really nice and the agent is good at keeping on top of things, the house is very good at staying cool in summer and warm in winter and she's right on Merri Creek which is bloody nice to walk along. I have a netflix account and a playstation 1 (crash bandicoot included) you are more than welcome to use, and there's a dishwasher and washing machine. Internet is NBN which means it's relatively stable except for occasional hiccups (thanks Malcolm). House rules wise - At the moment we share stuff like salt/sugar/bread/bananas but if you're not into that it's all good. I'm not a neat freak nor am I a slob. My room itself is kind of organised chaos but I'm not grotty. You should note - Bruce is a very fluffy cat, so those with allergies will have a rough time despite the fact I do my best to groom her/vacuum in order to prevent shedding.
Room now available long term or short term lease. Close to parks, (the beautiful Merri creek park just across the road) public transport, both train ( Merri station 3 mins away) and trams, 15 mins to Brunswick st, 20 mins to city. 5 min walk to St Georges rd, 10 min walk to High st and Westgarth shops and cinema. Small flat, clean. Its comfy and cool in summer. Room includes king size single bed, desk, chair, bedside table and lamp and lockable door. Rent includes internet and bills. New linen and towels provided. Room is $45 a night or $250 a week.
Cosy bedroom with two south-facing windows that let in loads of natural light. Easily fits queen bed and extra furniture (please see photos for reference - 2 door wardrobe comes with room.) Large kitchen/living/dining opening onto private courtyard and garden. The house is fully furnished except for your room and has all mod cons. Perfect location - close to Northcote Plaza and both High St and Queens Pde shopping strips, 1 minute walk to the 86 tram, 10 minute tram ride to Smith and Brunswick Sts, and a short walk across a footbridge to Rushall Station (Mernda line). Wifi is included in rent. The house has such a good feel to it - I love sitting in the private courtyard with a morning coffee. The wall-ceiling glass sliding doors are perfect for watching the rain or a thunderstorm.
Hey there! I'm Davy, a 26 years old PhD student. I've been living in Melbourne for 3 years and would like to find a new accommodation somewhere in the inner north suburbs. Ideally to share with 2 or more people. My hobbies include (but aren't limited to) going to gigs, hiking, chilling out while drinking craft beers and procrastinating instead of doing my research. I like to think that I'm open-minded and always appreciate an interesting discussion where I get to know your pov. I would like to find housemates that are willing to do some activities together. Could be cooking, jamming together (I play the guitar), going out or even just having a chat over dinner. Whatever floats your boat! If you're interested, send me a message. I would love to see the house/apartment and chat with you and the other housemates. Cheers
Originally from Canberra, but promise I'm more not boring! Currently living in Kew but seeking an unfurnished room in the the inner north area. Full time Project Manager working in the far Eastern suburbs. Enjoy making tunes and spinning decks in my spare time, as well as hitting the gym and playing bball. Keen to join a household that's up for occasional hangouts or shared meals. I'm easy going, open minded and considerate. Looking for a home with house mates, not just a house with strangers.
Hello! I'm looking for a new home! I'm 29, vegetarian, love craft beer, music festivals, bass music, meditating, running and cleaning ;) I'm looking for a calm and happy household, I tend to be out the house a lot, but when I'm home I really value knowing my housemates and getting along. I work full time 9-5, happy with long or short term & happy to go on the lease. Ideally I would like to move by around mid December but I'm flexible for the right place. I look forward to meeting you! :)
CLEAN, TIDY, RESPECTFUL, CONSIDERATE, TRUSTWORTHY and FRIENDLY. I'm someone who has an OPEN MIND, a FRIENDLY PERSONALITY but likes their own space. I am easy to mingle with , understanding , caring , reasonable to live, kind of a person. I don't go around poking my nose into other people's business , but if anyone needs my help, I'll be there first one to help. I just completed my bachelor of engineering in India and I'm planning to do my masters in UniMelb, Feb 2019 intake. During my free time, I usually hang out with a couple of friends and have some beer and chill, I love watching and playing football. I love socializing and exploring new places.
Hey, I'm Madelyn from Taiwan. I am currently living in Jakarta as an intern English teacher and will be studying Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne, starting in February. Looking for a comfortable place where I can have my own space but also hang out with friends. I am very respectful to people's needs and hope others would respect me the same way. I'm clean and tidy and would love things to be organized. I am also easy-going, friendly, reliable and positive and I love to laugh. Oh, and I love plants and animals. During the week I will probably be really busy, so I'll need a quiet place for me to relax (or study). But on the weekend or in my spare time, I enjoy drawing, painting, reading and going to the movies. I also love outdoor activities like mountain climbing, scuba diving, camping or just traveling around and exploring cool and unique coffee shops. Feel free to contact me if you think I will be a suitable Flatmate. :)
Hey I’m Paulina. I’m from Brooklyn, NYC, but I fell in love with Tim Tams, so now I live in Australia. I’m pretty chill, so I vibe well with Aussies. I’m also quite clean though, so you don’t have to worry about me being a messy roommate. I plan to live in Melbourne for the next three years at least for uni, so I’m looking for some place long term. I work as a bartender in CBD. I’m hoping to find roommates who are down to chill sometimes. I’m pretty busy but I’m always down for drinks after work xx
I currently work part time as a community mental health practitioner. In my free time you'll find me practicing yoga, reading up on various forms of philosophy and spirituality, drinking coffee (or talking about how much I love it), communing with nature, having a boogie, singing for no good reason and attempting various creative endeavors. I'm usually away every other weekend going hiking and camping. Really hoping to find a relaxed and supportive household, full of friendly but independent souls. I would really love a place where the house and housemates feel like a sanctuary from the sometimes soul-crushing world. I value open, honest communication in a house and occasional chats over dinner or a cup of coffee. Very enviro and socially conscious, and would love a place that shares those values. I also possess the bill paying and cleanliness skills of a responsible adult.
Hey! I'm Ivy, i'm currently living in good ol' Byron Bay but i'm making the move to Melbourne in January to study Photography at RMIT. I currently study childcare and am working as an assistant educator in a childcare centre (from that fact alone you know i have good patience and am a pro at cleaning up icky things). The things i enjoy when i'm not working or studying are; - going to gigs - reading in parks, or reading in libraries with really comfy chairs - making collages - taking piccies of the bands i see (I run a music blog with my current roommate) - listening to copious amounts of music (psychedelic rock/lofi/dream pop/alt rock is my jam, i can link you some playlists) - watching sitcoms like the office 'n parks and rec, or the occasional terrible rom-com House-mate wise i'm very calm and easygoing, clean, tidy and respectful of personal space. I very much enjoy my own space too, i'm a massive introvert so i'll probably spend most of my time at home in my room studying or listening to music. Despite this i'm still always up to hang out and share some tunes or go to a gig with you or something ! Also I currently live with a vegan so i'm used to not cooking or eating meat in the house if that is necessary. *** Flying to melbourne on January 23, need a place available from that date! (short term available from the 23rd of Jan it OK too!*** Message me with any more Q's! (or if you want me to link you some playlists) Thanks! X
I am from england and have lived in Melbourne for 4 years. Currently applying for my PR working as an arborist. Like most people i enjoy socialising and eating out at the many amazing food places in melbourne. Im quite active and spend my evenings playing football, training or cycling. Hi, I'm Anaïs from France. Here on a WHV. I'm a very considerate and easy going person who loves cooking, music friends and good times. Im hoping to find a nice place to share with nice people.
I am looking for friendly accommodation with like minded people. I've been living in Melbourne for just over a year, and I love this city, and wish to explore more of it. I'm currently studying contemporary and jazz music performance. I also perform around Melbourne and work part time.
Hiiii We are a french couple freshly arrived in Melbourne. We come from Paris and as all Parisians we love to drink wine, laugh and philosophy about the world with friends. We are very curious and excited to discover new cultures. We are looking for a room in a shared house to meet friendly mates and share good moments.
I have lived in a number of flat shares, I am clean, tidy and respectful of peoples things. I am very social and have moved here from the UK, so keen to integrate with housemates with Sunday dinners and after work drinks. I like art, love to paint and will be looking to attend life drawing classes while I am here. Enjoy cooking and being outdoors, I would describe myself as a friendly relaxed person. I love animals and I'm not allergic to pets, I don't smoke but i don't mind living with people that do. Currently work in administration but looking for jobs in the energy/environmental sector, to match my experience with what I was doing in the UK.
Hi, my name is Vova, I'm a 26 y.o. male. Originally I'm from Ukraine. I'm in my final stage of PhD in statistics. I'm also doing an internship with ABS. During the weekdays you can often find me reading a book, playing video games or watching TV series. On the weekends I tend to travel or spend time with my friends. I'm friendly, easy-going and get along with most people. I'm always down for occasional drinks or a dinner with my housemates.
Ola future housemate/s! My name is Anna and I like to party. That is more a hot rod joke than true but also half true if I'm fair. I am social and do like to have a social bev every now and again but it's certainly no issue. Anyhooha thats enough about alcoholism. What I am is a country girl living and working in the city as a part time PCA (personal care assistant) at a hospital, while also having ideas of furthering my studies. I enjoy live music, cooking (FOOD), social sports, listening to murder podcasts (the teacher's pet omfg*#$ love) and cuddling my lovely placid cat Florence. Who also goes by flo, flobo, pussy child, FLOMO and anything you really feel like. She is a "little gem of a rescue cat" quote by many. So I come with a cat YAY unlimited cat cuddles with no added responsibilities as I will do everything!! On the housemate side of things, I am a clean, responsible, friendly and fair housemate. I will chip in with the cleaning, house supplies and duties no worries. No one likes a dick head of a housemate. My reason for moving is sadly the house is breaking up due to travel plans and new job opportunities. Its a shame but I'm keen to meet new people and create new, fun memories! Looking forward to hearing from you and learning a little about yourselves. I have plenty more I could say but this box is only yay big xxx

Hey, my name is Ajay (30, born & raised in Melbourne). Working full time in hospitality. Looking for a place in cbd or outer city (any side-N.E.W.S.) as I work in the city. I am very sociable but also know people need their privacy. I enjoy to gym, cooking and enjoying outdoors activities. With work and hobbies, I won’t be home often unless I have a day off (rarely) but would make time to spend with my housos (dinner, drinks, grocery shopping, cleaning etc).
