Hi I'm Anna, I'm a 29 year old Melburnian. I have just returned from living overseas for the last year and am slowly settling back in. I'm a photographer, slowly establishing my own business. I love the arts, music and design. I practice yoga and clean eating. I have shared a few beautiful homes over the years and am very respectful of property and space and responsible with timely rent and bill payments. I am really looking to share a 'home' rather than just a house to crash in. Ideally, I am looking for other working professionals or graduate students, I generally have a busy schedule but still love a glass of wine and chat with house mates. This is just a quick tidy summary, please throw any other questions you may have at me :)
THE HOUSE The house is a single front double-storey terrace with a lot of space. There are 4 bedrooms. There is 1 bathroom and a separate toilet downstairs and 1 bathroom with a toilet upstairs. It has a shared living room, kitchen and study (all furnished but with room for extra pieces if needed), and a laundry (washer and dryer). There is a small backyard with a small flower garden, fixed clothesline and a shed for storage. The home offers some privacy between rooms as all the walls are double brick. There is on-street parking, no permit required. LOCATION We are located on Nicholson Street (near the corner of Barkly Street), on the 96 tram line. The tram stop is only 100 metres away from the house, and we are just 200 metres away from cafes/ shops etc. There is free off street parking on the side street. THE ROOM Upstairs at the rear of the house, so it is very quiet. It has a built in robe, a large window with sheer roller and block-out blinds for privacy, but great for mid afternoon sunshine! It can fit a Queen size bed and other bedroom furnishings. RENT and BILLS The rent is $230 per week, per person. The bills (electricity/ gas/ water/ Internet including WiFi) are shared. We have solar panels, so the electricity bill is quite low and on occasion in credit during summer. The Internet bill is paid monthly at $20 each but can vary. YOU We are looking for 1 housemate; male/ female who is clean and tidy; shares house chores; groceries; cooking if that’s your thing (as it is ours) etc; and generally feels like having a nice home to come to and chill out both in their own and shared space, rather than in a house full of strangers. Also a big plus if you have any house furniture you're willing to bring with you. Solar power Separate Study Continuous hot water system Gas fireplace Convenient and desirable location
Hi, I'm Elya! I've been in Melbourne for almost 3 years, originally from Malaysia. I'm currently an Arts student and will be graduating soon. Looking for a place to stay over the summer (but hopefully longer!) while I figure out what's next. Dates are sort of flexible. For potential roommates: I'm clean and tidy, still learning how to cook, not much into parties, here to listen to you vent over a glass of wine after a long day, and always up to binge watch tv shows. That being said, I will definitely respect your privacy and if you want to keep to yourself, that's cool too. If you're interested / want to know anything else, feel free to contact me! Bonus points if you have a cat.
Hey! I'm looking for a home to dream at night. My current housemate and friend is moving to London. so I am now looking to share my condiments and beers with some new pals. Due to recently turning old (30), I find myself on the lookout for somewhere somewhat "adult", but also chill and affordable. Natural light, space, plants, semi-organised – you know. Ideally looking to share with 2/3 others in a cute house with a yard for Summer ahhhhs. Fitzroy North, Northcote and Clifton Hill are in my heart zone. Would also consider Fitzroy, Carlton or North Melb. Open to teaming up for a new lease too. I'm from Melbourne originally and I spend my days working on graphic design projects. I’m into kind people, happy gatherings, checking out galleries and gigs, bike riding, fun fitness, cooking, travel… the pursuit of a balanced lifestyle in general. Currently working from a studio in the CBD and as a contractor for a few different companies. Varied routine, but can assure reliability when it comes to paying rent on time and being a considerate, clean and easy going housemate. Always up for hangs and am equally mindful of sharing the space and respecting down time. I come with a washing machine (if needed), plant babes and a friendly as tude. Looking forward to meeting you. Lauren
Hi, hola! We’re looking for a new housemate to join the family as sadly –for us– Elodie is moving out. Home is located a stone's throw away from tram 86, Rushall Station, shops, and Edinburgh Gardens. We like to call McKean St home. It’s an early morning house where everyone looks out for one another, and we are all about good vibes and energy. We’re looking for a male who is respectful, tidy, genuine, friendly and environmentally aware. Someone who likes to hang out, share a meal or do other fun activities such as painting, cooking, watching a movie, gardening and going out. We like to share a meal now and then, but we also enjoy our company and space. We prefer someone who is in his thirties and either vegetarian or not a heavy meat-eater. We’re not into big parties and are not heavy drinkers, but we love to have dinner parties and people over.
A great gal looking for some fab room mates who enjoy a good glass of wine and some good banter. I am a drama and stress free Beauty Therapist from the Sunshine Coast who loves a good meal and good music. Looking for some girls to live with in Feb next year
I am from Melbourne and Vince grew up in Colorado, USA but has been in Australia for the past 6 years. I work as an early childhood teacher and I am currently finishing my masters in teaching. Vince works for a non-for-profit educational theater company as well as working on a startup which helps people use smart meter data to find the best energy solution for them. We love to cook, brew, garden, we are into sustainable living and enjoy hanging out with friends and family
I am originally from Sweden but have lived in Melbourne for 5+ years. As a flatmate I am easy going and tidy. Love to share a drink and a laugh, but I am also respectful of others personal space. Final year accounting student looking to relocate closer to work as I am done with my studies. Work in admin/accounts in North Melbourne. Have had plenty of house share experience. I am looking for a long term place to call home. Looking forward to hearing from you! Siri
The house is located in a quiet dead-end street a short distance from St Georges Rd, with tram stops (no. 11 tram), supermarket, pubs, cafes and all night servos all within two minutes walk. Edinburgh Gardens is also only a few minutes walk away. The house is fully kitted out with house things - fridge, microwave, couches, aircon/heater, washing machine, etc. We have a nice little backyard with a fireplace and an overgrown garden (which needs some work after the Winter months neglect), which is perfect for all seasons.
This is a large gorgeous house. In the downstairs part of the house, there are 2 bedrooms - 1 of which we're looking to fill - with 1.5 bathrooms (one separate toilet room and also a full bathroom with toilet and shower), a lounge room area with tv, and kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom (toilet and bathtub shower) plus a huge upstairs lounge room with a big balcony that is a communal house area. All of the bedrooms have windows, decorative fireplaces, and chandeliers. There's also a cute backyard patio area outside. The available bedroom is unfurnished, but we have most of the house furniture already (including a washing machine, fridge, couple couches, and television). But if you have additional furniture, we could probably make use of it. :)
Hi there! My name is Zane, I’m 24 and originally from the gold coast, I moved to Melbourne about two months ago for an amazing full-time job opportunity at Melbourne Graduate School of Education (UniMelb). I consider myself social, laid-back and easy to get along with. I have the prospect of finding housemates who also have pride in their house environment and appreciate the beauty/comfort of a warm, tidy and welcoming space to come home too at the end of the day and are independent like myself but also social enough that things like housemate dinner/drinks is a something that is welcomed. Outside of this I enjoy cooking (I’m a pretty good cook if I must say!), music and the arts; catching as many gigs and stage shows as I can and LOVE to discover new cafés and eating spots over weekends.
Hello! I'm an undergraduate student from Singapore who will be studying in University Of Melbourne. I'm a 20 year old Chinese guy, fluent in both English and Mandarin. I like music, night life, outdoor activities, almost all kinds of sports, and visit the gym regularly (literally just everything that a "teenager" loves). I'm usually very quiet, but talkative with people i'm close with. My goal is to get really good results in University, while at the same time thoroughly enjoying this overseas studying experience. I'd love to make new friends and learn about cultures different from mine. Hope to have a pleasant experience with you!

Tidy, friendly, respectful kiwi who's looking for a fully-furnished place to crash in Melbourne from Dec 28th-Jan 27th, about one month all up! Working part-time at a cafe in the city, spend my time doing improvised comedy during the evenings. I love food, coffee, reading, learning, museums, and exercising. Looking to start hip hop classes too! I'm reliable, respectful of other's spaces, and am looking for a tidy home :) Not sexist, racist or homophobic, and hope that future flatmates wouldn't be either!
Laid back, tidy and easy to live with said all my previous housemates :) I am busy during the week and like to relax and chill out after work. Weekends I enjoy dinner and drinks with friends and can be found at a gig somewhere.
The house: comfortable, spacious, is in a fantastic and convenient neighbourhood close to "everything", with good neighbours, nice local pubs and cafes and green spaces. The house has a garden courtyard thing (which could do with some skill and love). There's space to hang a bike in the house.
***6 month lease minimum** outlook to sign for another year*** Located in North Fitzroy, right around the corner from Edinburgh gardens, we are (literally) a 5 min walk from St Georges Road and Nicholson Street. Two level town house has 2 downstairs living areas, open and bright kitchen/dining, downstairs bathroom with laundry (including a dryer!!). Great sized leafy green garden, with a huge BBQ and undercover area. The room up for grabs is the loft bedroom with a sky window. Medium sized, the loft will fit a queen size bed, with space for a couch & shelves underneath. The room comes with a wardrobe/hanger, and its very own split system aircon/heater for all things Melbourne. You will be living with: ANDY. Gamer, game design student, has really long hair and makes a mean coffee. Loves pizza and pizza shapes. Original. JOSH. Your classic rock and roll-tattooed- failed- musician- barista. He plays a lot of Fifa. MIRANDA. Bakes cakes and plays drums, mostly. Big loves for chilli. We also have a cat, her name is Gizmo. $1,200 per month, which INCLUDES water bills AND unlimited internet available 21st November- or sooner if needed.
This is a big gorgeous house. In the downstairs part of the house, there are 2 bedrooms - 1 of which we're looking to fill. The bottom floor has a bathroom, extra toilet and a living room connecting to the kitchen. Upstairs is another bathroom and a giant living room with a balcony. The place has been mostly furnished and you can be creative with your own room. The room has been spruced up recently for $100 and would like to split the costs with the new tenant. Public transport is just a few minutes away - buses, trams, trains- so it's super easy to get anywhere you want to go from here. We're not far from the Northcote nor the Fitzroy shopping area, with bars and pubs at your grasp. Move in date can be a week later if needed.
I'm respectful and considerate, easy going & tidy, don't smoke, enjoy a healthy & quiet lifestyle. In my free time I enjoy drinks with friends, going to gigs and hiking the great outdoors
Hi I'm Julian, I'm 29 y.o graphic designer — I work full time at a design studio in Collingwood. I work standard hours and keep things pretty low key during the week, though I do enjoy the odd glass of wine in the evenings. On weekends I like to catch up with friends, get out to gigs or exhibitions, catch a film or just hang in the sun, and I play a bit of soccer too. I enjoy the party times but have toned it down a bit in recent years. I'm keen to experience life on the north side, with the added bonus of being closer to work. I'm a pretty easy going guy and prefer living a social environment where sharing meals and a drink or two on the w/e is encouraged.
Hi! My name is Lauri and I'm a 28 year old guy from Helsinki, Finland. I'm a multimedia designer by trade and usually work in the creative fields. I'm in Australia on a working holiday visa and planning to spend the following months in the awesome city of Melbourne. Currently my long term plans are pretty open so therefore I'm looking for a short term lease on a private room in a nice shared house/apartment with nice roommates. Ideally I would like to rent a room for the next 3 months or so, but I'm also open for shorter and maybe longer deals. I'm a responsible, clean, open-minded and an easy-going person. I'm into music and all kinds of arts in general. I like to spend my free time going to gigs and exhibitions and also hanging out with friends and watching movies etc. I'm used to sharing apartments with other people and can appreciate a nice community as well as privacy. Contact me if you have a spare room that I might be interested!
Hey! I'm Lisa, an American living here in beautiful Australia! I work full time at a bakery and absolutely love my job. I spend my days off hanging with friends and trying new cafes or just lounging around watching movies. I love to cook and am always up to trying new recipes. I'm quiet and clean but know how to have a good time. Chat soon! :)
I'm a student that is moving to Melbourne in November as I have just found a new exciting permanent job in hospitality within the CBD and want to explore all that Melbourne has to offer. I consider myself a social person that enjoys going out for drinks with friends when I am not working or studying. Recently I have also started to enjoy cooking and I am looking for a place with like-minded flatmates. I am a tidy person and will be someone that helps out with the cleaning when possible. Also, I am reliable with payments of expenses and will be someone to count on in regards to the rent!
I'm easy-going, clean, dependable and sociable. (Wow, it's always hard for me to write these short descriptions.) My business partners decided to move back to their respective home countries so I've just finished closing up shop. It's back to the old IT freelancing gig for now, until I figure out my next stop, which means I'll be working from home most days for a little while. I'm originally from Delhi. I've been living here since I turned 18 so I've accumulated a fair bunch of friends over the years. Hoping to add my future housemates to the list. I usually go out on the weekends for drinks/gigs, but when I don't I like to watch movies/tv shows and read. I'm into an occasional hike or two, trying new things and keeping it real.
Just returned from a 5 month backpacking trip through Europe, so looking to move back closer to the city, was in North Fitzroy before I left and loved the area so anywhere around there is great but definitely open to new locations too! I've been in retail for a looong time, so I can probably hook you up with sweet deals. I am a binge series watcher, and love reading so can be a bit of a homebody, but I also love a cheeky beer or 5 and heading out in the glorious city we live in. The important stuff: I'm clean, I wash dishes, I love shower products so I always smell nice and leave the bathroom smelling nice too, I won't bug you but I will probably want to be your friend, I will buy milk always because black tea just isn't the same and I'm pretty much your ideal housemate.
We are Nat & Quinn, a 27 yr old female (gay) and a 6 month old kelpie. I run my own business as a graphic designer and work in the city, and Quinn goes to puppy day care 5 days a week and is exhausted after a run at night, so is a very quiet little miss of an evening. We go on adventures all weekend, and tend to cuddle up to a book or a movie after work. Quinn is well manured, minus a bit of jumping up to say hello, but that's getting better with constant training. I have my certificate in dog obedience so i am always training her new manners. I spend my weekends and spare time training Quinn, walking and running, coffee drinking, and brunching. I spend my time at home reading, designing (drawing) and just hanging out. I'm super chill, and would love to live with similar people ✌🏼️ if you'd like to know anything further, please don't hesitate to contact me. thank you Nat
This apartment rent includes all the bills for electricity, water, gas and Internet. This bright and airy apartment is furnished with a King size bed, a fridge, microwave, oven, gas cook top and a study table. There is also a small balcony with an unrestricted view. It is available for rent from 21st November 2016 to 20th February 2017. This property is situated at a very convenient location with Rushall train station (300 meters), Clifton Hill interchange tram stop (Tram 86) only 100 meters, Clifton Hill train station only 600 meters and the vibrant Fitzroy market at your door step. Excellent for bikers and joggers with the Merri Creek running along side the property. Off the street parking is available. A very good deal for someone looking for a place for a short stay in Melbourne.
Hey, I've been living in this house for the last year with two guys who are both moving out with their partners. I really like the place so I'm hoping to find two people who will sign a new lease with me! It's a lovely house, with an open plan kitchen and living area. The two free rooms are upstairs and mine is downstairs. The place is nice and warm in winter and cool in summer. Courtyard out the back too.
Moved from Byron bay earlier this year and plan to study in 2017. Im a very relaxed person who loves wine, pasta and tiramisu. I enjoy my own space but also love socialising and seeing friends.
I'm super clean around the house and enjoy living in a clean environment. Been through a rough patch just getting back on my feet now and looking for a house mate with a level of maturity and cleanliness that will match up with mine. I study online and receive an allowance but also looking for a part time job thats suitable for my schedule. I know what it means to rent and I'm capable for showing respect and would like the same in return, I can be quite secluded and enjoy my down-time to relax. Any arising problems are dealt with quickly and civilly, I don't like my home to have tension thats easily avoidable if possible. I've done plenty of sharing of all kinds in my time so I hope to hear from someone awesome soon! Cheers everyone :) SG
Hi, my name is Gabbie. I am looking for a room to move in next month. I tend to be quiet and generally like to do my own thing & wind down after a long day (of classes) at home, so I'm very respectful of others' personal space/quiet time/privacy. I am friendly, easy-going, tidy, & always pay rent on time. Currently studying business at Uni, I'm a night owl but not a party animal. I can't live with cats but I don't mind dogs; even though ideally, I'd like a house without pets. Strictly looking for a non-smoking house. Some of the things that I enjoy the most are music, movies, and good food. Leave me a message and I'll try to get back to you soon, cheers!
My name is Ben, I'm 22 years old and I have a working holiday visa in Australia, basing myself in Melbourne. I just graduated from university in Canada and I'm taking some time off school, what better place to do it then on the other side of the world, right? I'm real easy going, love to have fun, meet people, go out, travel and explore, and I'm just looking for some cool people to live with while I stay and work a bit in Melbourne. I'm also a musician, so anyone looking for a jam or just to be creative with, I'm your guy.
