I'm seeking a share house from Sept 24 with one other person (female preferred) in inner Melb (North Melb, Carlton, Fitzroy, Northcote, East Melb or Richmond). I've had 7 years of house sharing experience and find that people with aligned lifestyles are best suited as housemates. I'm keen on fitness, baking, coffee, food, wine, gigs, a bit of dancing... All the standard stuff! I'm a busy person who doesn't tend to hang at home so my next housemate shouldn't be offended by this... But ... be keen to perhaps weekly cook together or just hang out! Re my adult like.. I work in digitial marketing, M-F, 9-6pm in the CBD.
Hi mates! We have been living in Melbourne for 10 months . We have to leave the flat in which we live now, and we need a room for the last month that we still have to be in Melbourne. In mid September we finished the visa and we want to travel . This last month we will be working full time to save money, and we won´t spend much time at home , but still looked for a place where we can be comfortable, with nice people with whom we share a glass of wine at night and talk .
Greetings all! I'm Dee, 30, a Melbournian relocating back home after a few months in QLD and looking for a new place to hang my hat, plug my phone charger in and call home. Looking to move in by Aug 8. I work in film and will be working full time in a production company with some long hours and in my spare time writing my feature script. After work I'm pretty quiet as I'll either be at(tempting to go to) the gym to work off my 502398470kgs, out with friends or vegetating and catching up on some odd TV shows (putting the kgs I burned off at the gym back on). I'm extremely relaxed, easy going and enjoy a laugh. I'm tidy, considerate and respectful. I've lived in share houses for many years and have fostered some very strong bonds with those I live with and some I still call my closest friends. I'm not a party animal but I definitely enjoy going out on my weekends. I'm looking to live with some amazing people I can consider friends, who enjoy some banter, a few laughs, partaking in drinks or dinner but can also understand my need for alone time. Just as much as I respect my housemates I'd like to find peeps that are considerate, fun loving and also easy going. Oh and bonus points if you love your movies and binging on Game of Thrones, House of Cards or UnReal!
I'm a 23 year old, danish girl (from Copenhagen). Currently studying at RMIT. I've lived in share houses/apartments before and therefore know how to clean, respect other housemates. I enjoy socializing, going out for beers or share a meal with my potential housemates. I also like to be by myself from time to time! Looking for a place until mid november :)
hiya everyone, London born, Jamaican heritage getting out of London after that Brexit nonsense. Will be working in Docklands at a finance company. I don't know anyone in Melbourne so would be good to live with sociable people to explore Melbourne and Australia with. I arrive on the 1st August and start work on the 8th August so really just need to find somewhere fairly quickly. I need my lease to start on the 15th of August :-) Would prefer to live with professionals of a similar age group. I'm not a smoker, love cats and am a gym-goer. I do some form of exercise at least 4-5 times a week. I'm generally up for anything and will try everything at least once. Looking forward to meeting you guys
New to Melbourne. St Vincent's nurse. Looking for a social share house where people are friends. All the usual; music, wine, cooking, dogs, documentaries, road trips, activities, FUN
Hey all! I am searching for a clean house filled with lovely people to live in. I would love to live somewhere around the Fitzroy area as that is where I work (in retail) and go to uni (studying interior design). It is also where I go to yoga and where my boyfriend lives (everything great is north side!!). To give you an idea of what I'm like I am basically a 40yo woman trapped in a 20yo guy's body. I love houseplants, gardening, cooking, yoga, meditating (don't worry I'm not a full blown hippy - I still have good hygiene), trashy tv, dogs, and going out for dinner with friends. I am super tidy and respectful when it comes to shared spaces, and would love to live with like-minded people. I look forward to hearing from you. Henry
I'm a graphic designer in my late 20's working full-time, friendly and always keen to share in a laugh. Neat and clean, pretty busy most weeknights and weekends but when I'm home I love to cook and when the opportunity presents would love to share in a housemate dinner/wine.
We are on the hunt for a third housemate for our beautiful house in North Fitzroy. The house is a three bedroom share house in North Fitzroy. Close to the tram, train and shops. Excellent natural light, open plan living space, back garden and shed. We have excellent heating & cooling and the house is well insulated. The room is big and spacious and is approximately $280 per week + bills. The bond is $1640. We have solar panels so it keeps the electricity bill down. We have internet. All bills are split three ways. Move in date is flexible, however the room is available from 1 August and we are keen to fill it before the 12 August. Would prefer someone who can commit to the end of the lease (10 months). We are looking for a working professional of a similar age, who is friendly, clean & tidy and is looking to find somewhere to make their home. Someone who is keen to build relationships with the others in the house, likes a chat and is happy to socialise over drinks/dinner occasionally.
Hi all! My name is Yentl, I am from the Netherlands, 29 years old and obviously looking for a new place to live. I am here on a Working Holiday Visa, did my farm work already (in a salmon factory in Tasmania so yes that's how much I like Australia!) so I can stay for another year. Would like to spend another 6 months in Melbourne cause I just love everything about this city. I have a full time job at the cutest and definitely smallest cafe on Flinders Lane. We have delicious coffee and even better food (which is all very healthy too as a bonus), with left overs every now and then which I bring back home with me, just saying 😉 A little bit about myself: I am a huge fan of all different kinds of movies, a big art lover, like to have some (or occasionally loads of) drinks (even goon), dance at festivals, enjoy to run and hula hoop (still learning), would not want to live without cheese, big fan of (board)games and I love to travel. I am also very tidy and even like to clean as long as I can put on (loud) music and sing a long. I'd say that's me in a nutshell!
Pays rent in advance. Clean and tidy. Prefer quiet living. Currently living in a warehouse without hot running water so getting fed up with that. My fur babies are 7 years old and are small and toilet trained. LGQBTI friendly.
Simon, 32 from England. Looking to move into a fun household. Am in Melbourne until November. Into such things as snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding. Fan of beverages such as wine, beer, tequila, whisky and rum. Working full time at a landscape architects practice. Spent the last year travelling Asia and have many hilarious stories to share. Always up for spontaneous adventures and looking to explore Melbourne and its surrounding areas. I am tidy, clean up after myself, a good cook (Thai, Mexican, Sushi and Moroccan) and can be quiet.
Hello! My name is Amy, I'm 26 (nearly 27) and I am Graduate Architect who works in the city. I love getting out and finding fun events and things to do with friends (both new and old), always up for a laugh, playing sport and watching (what I think anyways) good TV/Films and also, every now again, terrible telly. I enjoy eating and drinking my way around Melbourne and I like to cook and share a meal - when there is time! I consider myself pretty clean, tidy and considerate of others and relatively organised.
Hi,I'm Japanese male working fulltime near airport.I'm a person, honest, respected mates, friendly.I like playing piano, drawing pictures.I prefer to live clean house so I always try to keep clean.
I am relaxed outgoing kind of person. Always keen to meet new people and experience what Melbourne has to offer. I like music getting out to see live bands, few beers and also staying to cook with some vino. Always house shared so adhere to common etiquette's and courtesy's.
I'm a first year uni student doing games design who has spent the last half a year look casually looking for accommodation. Prior to uni I lived in a boarding school making me a great person to live with as I understand boundries and requirements that come with living with other people. I'm a fun loving and social person who spends a significent amount of time out of the house but at the same time like to occasionally relax by myself or with other people :) I can provide a guarantee for rent upon request and pay in advance too if required! I'm originally from the Netherlands but move to Australia when I was three, spending most of my time living in Shepparton. I have a great deal of hobbies ranging from mountain biking to bass guitar and everything in-between.
I am a 27 years old engineer currently working parttime for an airliner while finishing my aerospace master degree at RMIT. Absolutely love what I do! I am easy going, love movies running wine the usual stuff. In the weekends I typically go on roadtrips with my old car. Parking space would be amazing. I am looking for a place to share with a few working professionals who also like to share a glass of red!
We are two fun loving creative people who are ALWAYS up for a movie night. Shannon is a full time professional actor and I'm a film maker studying their second year of film and tv. Despite us being 17, we are very mature and are extremely serious about moving to Melbourne for better study and work options. Blake's Key Qualities: - Hard worker (previously a shift manager at Ben and Jerry's and an acting teacher at Filmbites) - Great to talk to - Will always pop out amazing and weird movie facts - Can cook quite well - Will always be a supplier of new movies to watch - Can supply Netflix, Stan, Apple TV and samsung TV - Always up for a chat about the latest Game of Thrones episode (I know I know, I'm a bit of a nerd) - Very clean and tidy person - Keep to myself - I have two cats whom are brothers (Dr. Hannibal and Sir William) who I rescued *My cats have an amazing personality and like to mainly stay in my room. They are toilet trained and keep low around the house, and if you want to know more just ask! I don't believe they would be a nuisance at all.* Shannon's Key Qualities: - Friendly - Great to talk to whenever - Olympic sleeper - Happy all the time (it scares people) - I make eggcellent bad puns (not even a pun) - I can cook great cakes and baked goods - I have a cute, fat and chilled cat - I am a goof listener and I know hot to follow rules - I like to create a positive vibe with everything I do - I'm always open to a good, fun time We can supply references from industry professionals to verify our maturity and seriousness in finding the perfect share house.
Hola! I am Ruby and am very excited to move to Melbourne..all I need is to find someone to live with! I am an extreme neat freak and will most likely take care of your mess should you not deal with it, I am ALWAYS down to get wild (sangria and goon are my passions) but also appreciate and respect the need for alone time. I am a writer and an avid Melbourne lover. Hope to hear from you soon! xxxx
Two 22 year-old lads from Manchester, UK. Extremely friendly and fun to live with. We will be respectful but also know how and when to have a good time. Please give us a message and we can meet for a coffee/pint and you can get to know us better!
I'm a social and easygoing person who loves to keep busy with work, study and friends and my partner, but who also loves down time and relaxing in my own space. I have lived in a number of share houses with both friends and randoms, so I am very good at being considerate and sharing a place with other people whilst keeping it clean and tidy- and also expect the people I live with to pull their weight and keep things equally as nice for me to live in. I love to cook and make my house a home - a few vinos on the balcony whilst listening to music and sharing dinner or watching a movie on the couch is my ideal way to relax and unwind with housemates. My ideal home is one where communication is open, and being able to have a laugh is essential. I would also like to be able to have some of my friends over for dinner parties, but also not be living somewhere where people are coming and going all the time. I am currently studying Naturopathy full time in Fitzroy and have just completed a Doula (birthing assistant) course - I also work part time in a Physio clinic - so health and wellbeing is important to me. Looking to share a place with one or two others for 6+ months - Male or Female of any sexuality

About me: I'm a young 37yr old female from the UK. Have lived in Melbourne for almost 6 years and its the best city ever. I work in Carlton. I like design, gigs, art, culture, a diverse range of movies, fashion and eating out/wine. I'm looking for a home, and want to feel like I belong. For me, achieving this involves sharing a pad with roommates who are relaxed, friendly, down to earth, reasonable but mostly looking for their next roommate to be a friend too. If you are neurotic I am probably not your next roomie! It's important to me to appreciate that balance between being sociable while respecting each other's privacy. I'm at work all week and do 9-5 (sometimes longer), so people with similar working patterns would be cool but not the end of the world if not. I also like low key during the week, but totally down with livening things up a bit at weekends and going with the flow. It would be important for me that a share house would also share chores in common areas, and a deal breaker for me would be for someone to leave dirty dishes in the sink on a regular basis. But if you are considerate, in return I will be too. I am pretty sociable and always up for a catch up - especially at the weekend. I am also a pretty keen cook, so am totally up for making my awesome roommates dinner from time to time. Am not much of a morning person - but can be bribed into conversation with coffee. I would ideally like a large unfurnished room with wardrobe space in a house or large apartment. An en-suite and outside space would be a bonus. Close to life/cafes/places to chill on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings. I work in the city and don't drive so car parking unimportant but being close to public transport very important. I have some great furniture/lamps/soft furnishings plus heaps of cookware etc - as well as appliances I could contribute if needed. In saying that, its more important to find the right people to live with, so if the place was furnished but everything else was a great fit, I could store it all somewhere. I am a smoker, but don't hold it against me. I wouldn't dream of ever smoking inside and have a 10 a day habit. I am super down to earth, unpretentious & easy to get along with, and if you enjoy music, food, wine, good conversation and a laugh then we'll get on great. If you think I match your requirements for a room mate, I'd love to hear from you. Happy to answer any questions! Kat
I've recently moved to Melbourne from Byron Bay (the response to this is always "why?", it was for the Pho), I work full time Mon-Sat and when I'm not at work you can find me at a gig, lying in a park reading, pretending to work on my novel which is currently 3 pages long and has been for the last 2 years, or out at a yoga, muay thai or dance class. As a housemate I'm clean, reliable and respectful and I've been told I make a pretty mean lasagna. I also like to try my hand at baking every now and then with varying degrees of success. I don't have pets but I love animals so it's fine if you do and I'm always up for flatmate adventures but I like my downtime so I won't get in the way when you need to chill. If I sound like someone you could handle occupying space in your place drop me a line. Hope to hear from you soon :)
Hey! I'm Axel. 25 years old and I've been a barista for about 7 years. I've been living in NZ the past 8 years and have just recently moved to Melbourne to continue doing coffee. I'm very house trained and tidy, enjoy craft beers and coffee, progressive and full of banter. I'm independent and tidy and always down for chats.
We’re on Barkly St, Fitzroy North, right on the 96 tram route and very close to the Capital City Trail bike path that'll take you right into the CBD and Melb Uni or just about anywhere your legs can take you. It’s a small room with a window and electric heater with decent natural light (don't worry, the desk is going). Other bills are not included in the rent; internet will be $20 a month for unlimited use. We've got a lounge, kitchen (with gas oven/grill) and laundry (with washing machine) and a shared bathroom. There's a small outdoor area down the end of the house (we've cleaned it up since those photos were taken so it's not quite so Amazonian anymore).
Hi there :) I'm Luise, 22 in August and am looking for accomodation for september til december (maybe longer). I'll be working at a german english bilingual school in North Firtzroy for three months and need a room for at least those three months. I'm not sure how long I'll be staying for after that (max. 6 months), that depends on whether I find a part-time job after my placement at the school or not. I study elementary school teaching in Augsburg, Germany (Bavaria), I'm christian, love singing and music in genereal, am into sports and outdoor activities. I'm spontaneous and always keen to learn or do something new and fun! I've been to Australia before and fell in love with it! I grew up bilingually because we used to have australian au-pair girls live with us when I was little. I can't wait to explore Melbourne! Maybe with you? :) If you're interested in living with me or know someone who might be, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm looking forward to hearing from you :)
Kat, 25 (26 in August, Leo ;)) Studying psychology and sociology. Interested in psychology, gender and feminism. Love to dance, read, write, reflect & craft. Has lots of embarrassing dating stories to share. Enjoys blue cheese, red wine & boards games. Keeps fairly quiet during the week for study and has the occasional night out on the weekend. Also casually works in retail at Typo (so I've got that sweet notebook hook-up). Always pays rent -and bills on time, keeps communal spaces clean & considers others with noise. Works well in house where everyone wants to live in a clean space. Needs a room that is pretty good at keeping sound out as I am a light sleeper. Non-smoker, no pets and ready to move in August 10th (or before).
I am looking for a place to call home early to mid August. I work as a product developer full time. Enjoy swimming, volunteering, and good glass of wine and conversation. I have lived in a few places so I am well house trained! I am looking for a easy going housemates that i can get along with, and also have my quiet time. Looking for a home not a party house! Room must easily accommodate a double bed. I have a car and will require secure or street parking.
I'm a student, musician and hospitality worker who has just relocated to Melbourne from Sydney. I tend to keep myself fairly busy with study, work and music but I like to be social in my spare time. I’m reliable when it comes to rent and bills, and respectful of those I live with.
The house is a quirky single story terrace house. With your typical long corridor, two main rooms (one of which is yours) and then an extra little room. This spare room is both of ours to share, we can make it anything we want it to be, either a spare room for family and friends to stay, a study, a dining room an art or workspace room. If we decide that we want to bump the rent down a little, I'm open to it being a third bedroom. There is a wee tacted-on kitchen which is hilarious and small and makes you feel like you're in a boat. The bathroom is semi outside and the courtyard is concrete and full of winter vegetables that never quite grew. The location is perfect, almost across the road from Edinburgh gardens.
