A little about us, Shelley & Michelle aka (myself)

We’re Shelley and Michelle, both in our 20s, and we’re looking for somewhere that feels like a home rather than just people living under the same roof. We’re both a little introverted and on the quieter side at first, but once we’re comfortable, we love a good bit of banter, hanging out together, having dinner or watching a movie. At the same time, we’re respectful of each other’s space and completely understand those days where you’d rather have some quiet time to yourself.

Shelley is in her early 20s (she/they) and works in childcare. Originally from Perth! In her downtime, she loves watching movies, spending time with friends and her girlfriend, or building LEGO. She’s into LEGO, board games and photography and is also a big footy fan, although you’ll probably only hear her screaming about it if you decide to join her watching a game 😉

Myself, Michelle 26 (she/her), originally from New Zealand and recently moved to Melbourne after spending some time in Perth. I moved over for work and to be closer to her boyfriend. I currently work as a waitress in a cute café and I have been in hospitality for quite a while, so I love discovering new places to dine, snack and grab a drink. I'm also a bit of a gamer girl and I love PC games, board and card games, cooking and baking, op-shopping, walks and watching movies.

We both have ADHD and slightly on the spectrum, so while we enjoy being social, we’re definitely not an overly loud or constantly-on personality. We like a good balance between doing things together or with others and having our own space.

As housemates, we’re clean and tidy and always pick up after ourselves. We have a bit of a love-hate relationship with cleaning rosters 😂, but we both really appreciate having clean and comfortable shared spaces. Myself also loves cooking and baking for other people, so there’s a pretty good chance there’ll occasionally be food or something sweet to share!

And then there’s Lucas (aka Lulu) 🐱 — Shelley’s rescue cat from the Cat Protection Society. He’s a tabby DSH with plenty of personality and is very vocal, especially when he thinks it’s feeding time. He loves cuddles and exploring outside, but at the end of the day he’d much rather be curled up in a warm bed with Mum watching a movie. He’s also friendly with both cats and dogs. He can be a little reserved and watch from a distance when first meeting them, but once he’s comfortable, he’s happy to play and cuddle, he currently does both with the dog he lives with. Also he's house trained!
