I'm very much left-of-centre and would be an ideal flatmate for anybody a little out of the ordinary. Geeky, generally handy at random stuff, good in the kitchen, and fully house-broken. I work for an online retailer based in Capalaba (I can definitely hook you up with some A/V cable bargains!), and also at a retro games arcade. I mentioned geeky: I do Nerf wars, LARP, obsess over vintage woodworking tools and old fabric, like a good co-op multiplayer game, board games, RPGs... I'll probably pick something else up before too long. Non-smoker, very moderate drinker and would prefer the same (especially smoking, ick). It's not that I'm judgmental , I just don't want to have to wear a gasmask around the house while I navigate piles of empties. I'm absolutely cool if you have pets. I'm more of a cat person, but who doesn't like doggos? Listed move date is the absolute latest; I'd prefer sooner. Minimum 6 months tenancy, longer preferred. * After talking to a few people on here, it's best I state my preference is for a granny flat or sharehouse with some workable shed/garage space for hobby activities * Cheers!
I’m Indy! I’m a really easy going person and love a good laugh. I’m currently studying nursing and work throughout the week as well. I spend my free time watching suits, cooking, catching up with friends or getting out and about in nature (as well as studying). I live a healthy lifestyle and I’ll always take up an opportunity to get active. Needless to say though, I do love a good netflix binge with takeaway, or late night run to baskins! And I’m Nathan! I work full time as a dietitian and I like to get outdoors as much as possible. (He’s a simple man). We’re a low key couple who’ve been living together for a while! We also have a border collie, Ted. It’s impossible not to fall in love with him, he is the goodest of boys. He usually spends his days sleeping under the bed, chomping on a bone and playing frisbee at the park with his pals. I have just been given ‘custody’ of my two furbabies so I’m moving out of a unit and into a house as one of them is a little white Maltese, but the other is a very gentle (but quite large) Rottweiler so I need a fully fenced and decent sized yard. I'm a professional working full time, not a messy person, and won't leave the kitchen in a unkempt state (who likes cooking in a dirty kitchen?). I clean up after myself and am more than happy to be a friendly, social roommate, however like everyone I do enjoy private time. I also keep a fairly active lifestyle (running, cycling, rock climbing, etc). Most of the time, anyway :) Ideally I need at least room for a desk with a PC and books etc., on top of regular storage. I also have a car, motorbike and two bikes (pedal power) that will need to go somewhere relatively safe. The house is less than a 15 minute walk from the train station straight into the city, with buses going to Carindale and the city from the door. We are also very close to the Cannon hill and Carindale shopping centers by bus or car for all your shopping and public transports needs. The street is a main road and there is plenty of space for on street parking, there is also a space for off-street parking which we are more than happy to discuss. The Rooms The room available is the smallest in the house. It has space for a double bed or king single and a desk, the room does have built in robes. There are two bathrooms in the property, one is an ensuite attached to Matt and Liv's room. The house is also well located around the corner from one of Brisbane's best coffee shops Blue poppy (Slight bias). The House The place is huge with a kitchen and dining fused as well as a large upstairs deck which is great in the evening for a drink. The kitchen has a dishwasher which you can add to your list of pros as well as a large bench top for all your cooking needs. There is a separate living area which has a huge couch and large TV and with Netflix, XBOX and foxtel streaming. As well as this the house has some storage space, which we are more than happy to discuss storing anything and everything in. The need to knows We don't currently live in this property yet, but we are picking up keys on the 18th of June and looking for some great new housemates. The Utilities, such as Electricity, Water and gas are not included in the Rent. We will try and organize monthly electricity bills as it makes life easier. I wouldn't say great, but I barely use the room. I'm usually at my friend's place staying over after a big event or at my workplace quarters where I do sometimes double or extended working shift. I'm tidy, helpful, considerate but I would hope someone with manners to come and stay with us. Our place never get crowded considering the number of tenants, 1 busy QUT students that you might get along with, and the rest are hard working folks. We are friendly and approachable.

I have a fridge and washing machine but the rest of the furniture is needed as it will be taken away by the departing housemates - pantry, couches, dining table and chairs, coffee table etc.). You will be required to apply to sign onto the new lease if your application is successful - the bond is $670 per person. NOTE - the property is for sale - the current lease is due to expire at the end of July, but the owner has agreed to extend it for 6 months (up until the end of February).
