I have just moved to Hobart to start a new job at UTAS. I will be at work and travelling between Launceston and Hobart throughout the week most of the time and love to make the most of my weekends so I probably won't be home all that often to be honest. I have lived in share houses for many years now and understand the dynamics of how to make a place good! I appreciate a clean house and am more than happy to do my share of the housework, pay bills/rent on time and chip in for general house costs. I'm looking for a place with people who understand the balance between personal space but also are able to have fun. I'm more than happy to cook a meal for housemates every now and then and won't get passive aggressive if you steal some of my milk or weetbix, just don't go touching my hummus! Being new to Tassie, I want to get out and explore as much as possible so would love to live with people who have similar interests (hiking, camping, fishing, surfing, exploring etc) but if you're not into that kind of stuff that's fine by me also.
Hi, I'm an easy going, friendly and kind person. I'm 21 and work as a Service Desk Analyst (IT support). This is a 5 days a week position, so I will be out of the house most of the weekday. My interests include gaming, being social and flying my racing/freestyle drones, which will take up most of my weekends. I have a partner, I will occasionally stay at her place, and she will occasionally stay at mine. I can cook, can happily clean and am willing to chip in around the place. I don't mind a bit of banter, and will hang out and chat. The ideal place would be a house/flat with 2 or less other people. I have never moved out before, so this will be a new experience for me. I have my own furniture and stuff to bring along, so furniture in my room is not needed! Cheers, Jake
Hi, I'm 23 years old originally from Hong Kong, graduated from Deakin Uni 2 years ago, have a little bit of experience living in a shared house for 6 years in Melbourne. I'll be coming to live in Tasmania for 3 years. I'm friendly, tidy, sociable, organised and easy going. I'm a very outgoing person, I love sports, soccer and futsal are my first sport. In my spare time I hang out with my friends, I like to go out for drinks or dinners. I also enjoy chilling at the beach, shopping, the occasional night out and relaxing nights cooking. I'm moving in mid-September for 3 months first because I cant do inspection before leaving from Melbourne, so I’ll see how it goes and decide to leave or stay. I need off-street parking my car as I wouldnt park on street. Please do not call me, shoot me a text/direct message instead if interested :) Thanks, Alex
I am a 29 year old UTAS masters student, originally from Perth and in my final year of clinical psychology. When I'm not studying I enjoy the outdoors, reading, listening to music and drawing. Hey, I'm Alex, 22 years old and I work full time as an administrator from home. I'm easy going, polite, respectful of opinions and peoples lifestyles. I'm happy to cook a meal as a group or do my own thing, grab the necessity's such a toilet paper, bin bags etc knowing my house mates will get it another time. I'm very flexible and happy to assist in anyway when possible. Previously I actually use to be a Camel Tourism Operation Manager training camels in Broome so I have a unique past with plenty of great stories. I also have a 2 year old Blue Heeler X Kelpie, Her name is Indy and she is very well behaved, a little excitable at first but once settled will be your best friend and a great pick me up. I can assure you she is house trained, never having an incident since she was 12 weeks old, very friendly and doesn't bark at other dogs, even when the whole neighborhood is going off. As far as what I do for fun, I love watching a good series or movie, playing any kinda sport really but especially soccer, taking Indy for walks, socializing and I don't mind cracking out a console for some FIfA or Mario Kart, Street Fighter you name it. I'm not a big drinker but I don't mind if my roommates are, if your party animals or study focused, I can adapt to the expected environment of the household, of cause ideally i'd love roommates who like dogs or at the very least don't have a phobia. I can understand your hesitance about a dog, but let me assure you that I will pay for carpet cleaning quarterly, she is well behaved and I promise that you will be happy you accepted one and a half roommates instead of just one. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to get in contact with some great people shortly.

Room to rent in house in South Hobart. :: Looking for: I’m looking to share my house with a mature woman or non-binary person, 30 years +, who is working. I would ideally like to live with someone with similar lifestyle and values to me: enviro friendly, care about community, inclusive and respectful of diversity, left leaning, feminist, non smoker, clean up after yourself, happy to do housework without needing a roster, respectful, pay bills on time, keen to get a veggie garden going. if you're vego/vegan that would be ideal but not essential. :: About Me: I’m mature, I work full time, and I’ve recently moved to Tasmania. I'm a morning person. I'm a vegetarian. I like a calm home, a happy home, and a fun home - happy for music and films and food and drinks and chats and dinner parties etc but not looking for someone who wants a party house. :: The Room: Is a good size, easily fits a queen bed plus other furniture, has floorboards, North facing, has bay windows, and a view of the mountain. There is a double and a single wardrobe in the room, otherwise it is unfurnished. (The wardrobes came with the house and can’t be removed, though one could go into another room if it’s not needed but not both). :: Location: The house is near the Salad Bowl, the South Hobart shops, close to Ginger Brown, Bear with me, and is an easy 17 min walk into the CBD. :: Cost: Rent is $225 per week (electricity, internet, water etc will be extra) Plus 4 weeks rent for Bond You will need to submit an application through the Real Estate Available: 8 August No pets, sorry.
I'm a PhD student at UTAS so I'll be a very chilled person to live with (I'll be studying a large majority of the time). I'm very adaptable to different situations, so I'm happy to fit myself into your lifestyle. I'm happy to live with pets. I enjoy bushwalking and I play the piano. I love getting to know people and there are very few things that annoy me.

I am a chartered structural engineer I have just moved to Hobart from Adelaide as I got a new job here. I have my family staying in my own apartment in Adelaide CBD and it’s likely that I will be travelling to them fortnightly at the weekends. I lived in Dubai for 12 years 5 of which were sharing with other flatmates, so I used to share accommodation with others in a good way. I work full time in Salamanca and I was looking to rent a two bedroom place near that area but couldn't find a good one. I am currently staying in Somerset on the pier hotel and should move on 24 August.

We would like to meet people from different backgrounds and share the culture and have nice time.
