I am a Canadian dance artist and doctoral researcher at the Centre for Dance Research (Coventry University) currently based in London, UK. I will be travelling to Melbourne for 6 months (roughly July-January) to conduct my research, and am looking for a comfortable, calm place to live that is relatively well-connected to Deakin University (Burwood Campus) and Melbourne CBD, state libraries, etc. I'm a respectful and considerate tenant, well-traveled, an experienced pet/house sitter, mature and responsible. I'm looking for a living situation with good communication, a clean space, a garden/house plants, natural light and access to nature. I'll be quite focused on my research while in Melbourne, with a few small trips planned to conferences around Australia and New Zealand over my time there. Some of my interests include gardening (and other outdoorsy-type activities), art, literature, cooking, music, ceramics and textiles. I love to cook, share meals and chat with flatmates but equally understand the need strike that balance with down-time alone. I'm looking forward to explore Melbourne and land in a harmonious (temporary) home with like-minded people. Progressive politics, LGBTQI+ friendly of course.
