$250/week33 year old woman

Hello! I'm a 33-year-old who recently started a new job in Sunshine, 9-5 pm and I'm searching for a place within the west :) I'm much more of a day person, so usually keep it low-key during the working week and tend to take my socializing out of the house. I've rented on my own and in shared houses before. So I'm experienced and can happily share spaces with others. Tidy, clean, and enjoy keeping a nice space for everyone. I like to be buddies, share a meal/drink/adventure, or chat. But I'm very comfortable doing my own thing and I'm respectful of space. In my spare time, I love learning new things so I often like to go to classes or workshops. I'm currently doing a sewing course on Saturdays. Enjoy exercising and being out in nature as much as I can. I love a new brunch place or going out for food (more than welcome to come for a food trip! The more the merrier!). I also like reading, watching movies, op shops, music, art, and taking much-needed naps. Big on travel and try to organize a trip once or twice a year. Otherwise, I'll hang out with my friends, and family or enjoy some me time at home. I'm a pretty relaxed and open person, I like to joke around and keep it light-hearted. I like a peaceful, calm environment but enjoy a bit of a good time here and there. I'm approachable if anything needs to be discussed and very considerate. I would hope anyone would feel comfortable being themselves around me. I don't have a car so no need for any parking. I would only be bringing bedroom furniture with me (Though I have leftover kitchenware and odds and ends from my last place if needed) All kinds of friendly and I love animals! So happy to live with all the pets :)

$180/week30 year old woman

Hi, I'm Jennifer (she/them) and I'm looking in 2024 to share an organised and homely place with up to two people (preferably women) in the inner western suburbs of Melbourne for at least a year! As your roommate I would contribute to keeping the home tidy and relaxed, because that's the best environment to rest and for me to expand creatively too. When I'm not reveling in stories, characters and creative endeavours, among which include drawing, writing and learning the guitar (again), you'll find me zipping about on rollerblades, my bike, or feet when it comes to swing dancing. In my element I have a silly sense of humour and can't resist some singing (in tune, I promise) while doing chores. Otherwise, I am reserved and prefer a quiet space, so I'm conscious of noise and will always check with you what's acceptable. I work part time as a marketer at a business accountancy, moving towards web development programming, and the rest of the time as a freelancing illustrator with steady gigs the last 6 years. My employment covers the budget outlined, however, so the risk of lacking income is low. ✨ The reasons I'll make an ideal housemate: - I am organised, everything is sorted in boxes and has a place, and I prefer rosters for chores. I am still flexible with making adjustments, but I operate better with an agreed framework. - Always looking for small improvements to make life easier, like setting up temporary shelving for a less messy pantry. I like keeping things simple and easy to remember. - Frugal and budget savvy, so you can expect the bills paid on time. - Clear communication and respecting boundaries. I aim to foster an honest space. - Most of my activities are quiet; the only one that is more involved is laughing and making voices while playing games with friends online once or twice a week. We don't go much past 10:30pm, however. - I don't drink alcohol except for special occasions and don't smoke or partake in other recreational drugs. I respect sensible use of the first two but would rather avoid being around the third, save for medicinal use. - Fond of cats! Unfortunately, dogs are too energy-intensive and loud, so I can't handle them, sorry. - LGBTQ+ friendly and considerate of other cultures and beliefs. 🏠 What I will really need: - Space for a desk so I can do my freelancing work. I have a single bed I can bring, I'd rather save on space in my bedroom. - Patience for the low energy and symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have all the tools and support to handle it. My social comprehension is a bit clumsy as times, so please understand if I ask for clarification for obvious things. 💜 Otherwise, great to have would be: - Somewhere to store my bike. - Ability to invite friends over occasionally for dinner, drawing or board game activities. Parties are too intense for me. - Space to park a small hatchback car. Street is fine, so long as it's reliable. - Dietary limitations are a can of worms (not literally), but to summarise it's gluten free (non-caeliac). I cook for myself, but should we want to share meals, some planning and consideration would be awesome. If you resonate with most or all of these, then please get in touch and let's arrange a meetup to get to know each other!

$200/week23 year old woman

Hi ! ☺️ I am a 23 year old introverted student who enjoys playing volleyball, expressing myself through artistic means that includes sewing, fashion and cooking. I love baking so be prepared for weekly treats for the whole house. I am currently a first year student at Victoria University studying the Bachelors of Science, in hopes that one day I will be working in a lab exploring and discovering the beautiful properties of plants and herbs. I am on the hunt for a place I can nourish, grow and to call home on a long term basis. A little bit about myself is that I am a firm believer of being prepared for the expected and unexpected, that’s why I value organization in all aspects of my life especially when it comes to communication, bills, rent, repairs and deadlines. I hold very high regard for everyone’s time, so preparation is paramount. I have lived with housemates for almost 4 years now and regard myself as a great housemate because I am considerate, responsible, and always willing to lend a helping hand. My cleanliness and organization skills ensure that shared spaces are kept tidy, creating a comfortable living environment for everyone. Additionally, my friendly and cooperative attitude fosters positive communication and harmony within the household. Overall, my commitment to maintaining a pleasant atmosphere and being respectful of others' needs makes me an excellent addition to any living situation. My rental history begins with my occupancy at 6 Regency court, Carrum Downs where my tenancy along with my brother in-law, sister and nephew lasted for 2 years starting August 2020. We had a consistently good relationship with our property manager’s at Metro Property Management as well as the landlord, whose reference details are attached to this letter. We kept harmonious communication throughout our tenancy and throughout the process of ending our tenancy. I currently live at 46 Argyle street, West Footscray and have been residing here since November of 2023. Due to this property being sold, I am on the hunt for a place for my nephew, sister and I to nourish, grow and to call home on a long term basis. Prior to living in West Footscray my residency was at 18 Sidney Nolan Pl, Pakenham, which I occupied with my sister, brother in-law and nephew since July of 2022.This beautiful property unfortunately got sold in April of 2023. I currently work at Red Rooster Ascot Vale on a part time basis of 20 hours a week and have been working here since November of 2023. I also receive centrelink assistance as I am a Tertiary Student. I would consider my employment status secure. With my combined income and a savings account that is designated towards the house, I am more than capable of paying rent on time every month. As an established tenant, I understand that by entering into a tenancy I will be taking on legal responsibilities that are on par with Residential Tenancy Act 199, which I am very knowledgeable of. I am also aware of the importance of being a good neighbor, which looks like being friendly, respectful, and considerate. It's about lending a hand when needed, being open to communication, and caring about what's happening in my neighborhood. I love to be involved by joining the community group pages, as I believe that showing genuine interest in the well-being of your community and actively contributing to its betterment can make a significant difference. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for such a beautiful home and I look forward to hearing back from you!
