Josh
$400/week•30 year old man
Hi, I'm Josh. I've recently moved back to Melbourne after 3 years in Edinburgh and I'm now looking for a new place to call home. I work full-time in media and will be starting a new job based in Southbank in mid-September. I'm a very friendly person who is always happy to socialise, whether it be a house movie night or cooking together, but I also enjoy my home being a place to unwind and recharge, and I understand people need their own space in the same way. I'm active and love exploring new places with friends, as well as brunch so if you have any suggestions on great hidden gems we'll get on just fine. I'm well house-trained having lived in shared living situations for seven years. I'm clean, tidy, considerate, queer-friendly, and respectful of other people's space, and this comes at the small cost of me drinking copious amounts of tea. If you think I might be a good fit for you and your space I'd love to hear from you!

$325/week•34 year old non-binary
[I'm flexible on move in date and length of stay - I'm not flexible on location] Hi! I'm Kim, a 34-year-old queer Irishman (with PR) who has been living in Melbourne for about 6 years. I have worked as a public servant in the VPS for many years, most recently as a Senior Policy Advisor in the reform space at the Department of Education. I work 9-5 and I'm a bit of an early bird, so I wake before 7am (though I keep very quiet) and am usually in bed by 10pm. I'm a friendly and conscientious person who always tries to be mindful of others. Respect is extremely important to me, which includes not just keeping communal areas clean but also being mindful of noise for both flatmates and neighbours. I'm in the process of getting out of a damaging 6-yr marriage, so I'm keen to find a new place as soon as possible, for the sake of my own well-being. Apologies if this is a bit of an overshare, but I'm a bit believer in openness and transparency. I used to be a social butterfly (before the last few years) so I do love the company of people and would love to have a housemate that enjoys casual catch ups on our respective days and occasionally watching shows or playing boardgames together (though it's not a dealbreaker for me if you're keen on this). Otherwise, I'm likely to be either in my room reading or writing, or out meeting friends or taking a dance class. I am the co-parent of a beautiful 2.5-year-old blue staffy named Mac, who would ideally be able to stay with us part-time (as he will predominantly stay with my ex-husband). Mac is very well trained (including crate trained) and doesn't chew on furniture or anything like that. He was very well socialised as a puppy, so he is super friendly with both humans and other dogs. I have some bedroom furniture (bed, desk, etc) so I can make furnished or unfurnished rooms work. Please feel free to ask me anything you want to know!
