I'm looking for a Place to call Home. I work as a support worker, caring for people with a disibility & encouraging them to engage in meaningful activities. During my down time I enjoy, Tunisian Crochet, art, soul collage and Yoga/ meditation. Weekends include catching up with friends and family, coffee, movies, dinner, & shows. I Have lived in a few different share houses and really value honest constructive communication, sharing the cleaning, and paying utilities & rent on time. I'm always up for a chat over a cuppa, however I also recognise that there are times when people need uninterrupted chill out time. I'm happy to organise my own food, as there are a few things I'm not able to eat. While I do enjoy the occasional vegetarian meal, I do eat meat so I need a housemate who is ok with the smell of cooking meat. I have no pets & are more than happy to share the house with a dog. No cats (I'm allergic)
I’m Alice. 28. I work full time in textiles and run a fashion business on the side. Into yoga, meditation, clothing, crystals, music and good food. I love to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Also have a Netflix account and love trashy tv. Looking for a room in an existing share house or preferably looking for one or two peeps to sign a new lease with, and create our own new amazing home together. I have a cat, Luna. He is super cute and enjoys food, meowing at his mum, cuddles with anyone and everyone! Loves the outdoors, loves a good nap and tummy rub. I have plenty of furniture so you would only need enough stuff for your bedroom, but am happy to get rid of stuff if you have something better :) Looking for someone reliable, pays bills on time, does their fair share of the cleaning, and wants to be mates with their new housemates while also enjoying doing their own thing. Feel free to message if you have any questions!
I am fairly quiet and don't like encroaching on other people's space. Although I'm currently unemployed, I will be looking for a job once I relocate (there aren't any job opportunities where I currently live). I'm a bit of a nerd and have a passion for science, the environment, and art. Some of my hobbies are photography, painting, and guerilla floristry. I also really enjoy baking cakes, biscuits, and slices (and can make a mean single serve chocolate souffle). I have been living in a tiny country town with few services or resources for the past few years, so am really looking forward to moving out as soon as I can. I don't drive, so would prefer to live somewhere close to public transport. My ideal home would have a bedroom big enough to fit my vintage queen sized Burgess headboard + bedside tables in, and to have a bathroom with an actual bath in it (hip baths don't count!). I haven't been able to own any pets besides my cockatiel where I've been living, and would dearly love to get another cat to keep me company.
Hey I'm Nic and I am 28. I work in building compliance. My work varies around Melbourne which leads me inter state / over seas for a week or 2 every now and then. I generally work 8-5 Monday to Friday. If works slow you can generally find me at my studio painting and creating, which is where I normally can be found most times during the week / weekends if I'm not doing tai chi or out and about eating / boogieing / viewing things / with friends. When I'm home I like to cook (I'm a vego), spin a record, watch a film and do a bit of reading. I am pretty clean and pretty quiet, and not much really bothers me so I think I'd say I'm a pretty easy person to live with.
Our house is in the heart of Thornbury, just a 3 minute walk to High St and near the famous Welcome to Thornbury Food Trucks! Public transport is easy as we are close to the 86 tram, buses and Croxton station. We are spoilt for choice with the number of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our street is lovely, safe and quiet, with plenty of street parking always available. Both housemates walk to the gym, only 10min away. Northcote Plaza is also a 10min walk/2 min drive away with Coles (x2!), Kmart, Liquorland, Northcote library and many more. The house is a spacious 3 bedroom, modern townhouse. Each room has an ensuite with a toilet and shower. There is a large shared living space adjoining the kitchen including a Smeg dishwasher and gas stovetop. This living space opens out onto the deck/grass area with an outdoor clothes line, storage cupboard and 2-car garage. The available room is the downstairs front room. It has great lighting and air-conditioning/heating. We have unlimited WiFi available in all rooms at a very reasonable price. Our current housemate will be taking the washing machine, TV, dining table and one of two couches with him as he is placed rurally next year. If you have these items, please let us know!
Hi there, I have 2 nice sunny rooms for rent in a nice modern townhouse in the beautiful suburb of Thornbury, I am looking for 2 female housemates to share with. The house is close to Penders park and to Victoria road, close to cafes, bars, restaurants, 10 min walk to High st. tram stops and Train station. The house comes with a dishwasher, washing machine, central heating and air conditioning and a beautiful cat, I am a tattoo artist who works in Northcote, I am pretty chilled person, but like to socialize with my housemates, I love music, good art house films and also enjoy dinning out, having a couple of drinks, I am looking for someone responsible, someone employed, someone respectful maybe creative, if description suits you, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll arrange a time to meet up and show you the rooms, Cheers!
I'm a "can't-quite-believe-I'm-30" 31 year old, seasoned share house veteran of inner city Melbs. I'm well travelled having lived in both the U.K. & U.S. over the years. Currently full time tennis coaching, I love my sports, live music, cooking and eating, coffee and enjoy a few beers on the weekends.
Hi! My name is Lauren and I'm looking for a nice room for October onward. I'm a relaxed, fun loving person and very social. I'm respectful of personal space and clean and tidy. I make a mean Sunday roast and piña coladas. Originally from NSW, studying my master in Physiotherapy and working at a pub. I love sports, the outdoors, getting together with friends and a good night out. I look forward to meeting potential housemates and hopefully making life long friends in the process:))) I'm also allergic to cats. So cat free households are a must haha Inspecting a place in Hawthorn East this coming Saturday (23/9) if interested shoot me a message
Hello! I'm Jol, a 24yo Graphic Designer working full time at a Digital Marketing Agency. I love all things creative and in my spare time I cook, visit markets, Netflix binge and often working on various photography projects. I am well house trained, clean, quiet yet sociable and always conscious of communal areas. All in all I'm looking for not just a shared house, but a home, and ready to move within 2 weeks of notice. Somewhere clean, quiet, safe and with like minded people. Possibly a home that is environmentally conscious, and maybe with a nice herb and veggie garden to tend to - though not essential. Bad puns guaranteed!
Hi, I have recently moved to Melbourne after living in Singapore for past 11 years. I am looking for a short term accommodation (starting from 1st October). I am very easy going, clean and organised person. I have lived in shared flats/properties for past 7 years (Singapore) so fully aware of the shared space dynamics & responsibilities. I enjoy photography, reading, and travel. I also like to play board and card games with friends/flatmates.
My housemate is moving overseas for 9+ months and we need someone cool and funky to take over her awesome room! The room is in a neat two-bedroom/one-bathroom apartment in a quiet but super convenient location 5 min walk from both trams and trains. We are also 10-15min walk/5 min drive from a Woolworths and Aldi, and 10 min walk to High St restaurants and bars. The room is a great size with built-in wardrobe and a door to the outdoor area/garden. The room is not furnished but the rest of the apartment is fully furnished with all necessities (but feel free to add your own).
Easy going sociable female in my late 20s. Work full time during the week but always keen for a meal/beer/movie of a night! Hoping to find someone with similiar laid back personality and work life balance!
My name is Kate - I'm 35, a writer and therapist, as well as homely creative and foodie type with a penchant for good whole food and organic cooking. Currently I work 35 hours a week including Saturdays, Sundays and one late night. I am financial, rent and bill reliable, spacially aware, friendly, v.open minded and socially and emotionally intelligent. I love music, art, dancing - dancing in the kitchen while cooking and listening to music! I am a seasoned housemate and great communicator and like to think that I'm a pretty ace all-rounder when it comes to making it work. I am looking for a grounded, earth and human friendly home with a bath and veg patch (or patio for pots?) I can share with other similarly minded and hearted human beings, ideally with others who are 28 + and who enjoy an active, creative and clean-living lifestyle. Because of the nature of my work, I enjoy my home as a sanctuary of nurture, rest, creativity and peace, rather than a super-social party house, and a space where the TV is not the central focus. I could live on my own and have done in the past, however I am choosing to share right now as I appreciate and welcome the social aspects of living with others - it expands my horizons and it can be wonderfully supportive in key ways if it is the right dynamic. I am looking for a large and light filled room in such a home. Please let me know if you are keen and I'd love to swing by at a mutually suitable time. If you'd like to chat more please do not hesitate to contact me. Warmly, Kate.
HEY YOU! Lovely human/s with a spare room/s in your house! Are you: - A houseproud person who loves to create a beautiful, clean, tranquil living space? - Someone who has their own life and likes their own space, but also likes a bit of a cosy family vibe at home, not just living in your bedroom but having occasional chats in th kitchen or over cups of tea or an occasional shared meal? - Someone who likes to have an occasional dinner party/backyard BBQ, but not a big partier/drinker? - Queer-friendly, left-leaning, and friendly? - Non-smoker? (or outside smoker only, but preferably totally non-smoking) Do you: - Love and/or make music and/or art? - Love houseplants maybe a little bit too much? - Not watch TV/not have a TV/watch some Netflix shows on occasion but mostly in your own room? I'm looking for a new home. I'm a little heartbroken right now as 3 months ago I moved into the perfect space, but then the landlord decided they wanted to make more money from it and kicked us out to get a family in :'( Moving into a pre-established home would be preferable, but I'm also open to starting a new house with cool peeps. The issue is that I want somewhere ASAP (Just have to give 2 weeks notice at my current place, but have to be out by Nov 23rd - preferably much sooner as the nearest train station is going to be closed from Oct 6th and that's gonna make life very difficult!!) as I am going to be very busy in late Sept/early Oct and I don't have a lot of time for househunting! At least one female/nb housemate preferred, but could be convinced for the right dude. I'd like to live with 2 people ideally, open to sharing with 1 or 3 but probably not more than that. ME: - 28yo female musician/artist/voice coach. Friendly, silly, queer, sings a lot and sometimes loud but mostly well, and only in reasonable hours/when you aren't home. - I like to be really clean & tidy and make a beautiful home full of art and plants and pretty colours. - Non-smoker. Not much of a drinker. Not vegetarian but not eating a lot of meat at home. - I am really busy and keep to myself a lot working on my music etc, but I lived in a house previously with dudes who just lived in their rooms and I hated it... I love living with people who are down for chats and cosiness and laughs together when our schedules line up. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN A HOUSE: - Preferably an actual house, not an apartment. - Sunshine! - Close or otherwise convenient to grocery stores (I don't have a car, only bicycle/motorbike/PT) - OSP for my small motorbike (can just be front yard or small side path) - Either quite cheap rent (between $500-800/month) for just a bedroom, OR... - Open to paying $800-$1000/month for somewhere that has an extra sunroom/study/office space from which I could teach voice students (or a very large bedroom which I could split with a divider to make into a semi-professional space.) - I am also currently renting a studio in Brunswick which I teach from 2-3 days a week. If my new home is around $500 - 700, I could afford to just teach from the studio 4-5 days a week. If it's $700-800, I'd wnna teach from home a couple days a week (so I could get someone in to share the costs of the studio)... if it's $800+ I'd want to be teaching exclusively from home as I wouldn't be able to also afford the studio. If I sound like a good match for your home and vice versa, please get in touch!
I'm a full time student at La Trobe University Bundoora, I am an International Student originally from India, I do not mind pets except cats because I am allergic to them. ABOUT ME: Easy going, relaxed and chill, tidy, an ambivert, I will respect your privacy and expect the same. I'm looking for a room in a shared house, or would like to team up with a budget of $120pw (including bills). Hello! I'm Yu-Chi Huang, a 27 year-old Taiwanese girl coming to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa to embark on a voluntary research internship and to gain some international experiences. I have an educational background in psychology and currently work as a research assistant in Taiwan. Upon relocating to Australia, I hope to find some casual/part-time work in addition to my voluntary internship to support myself. Therefore, I'm still unsure of my working hours yet. For leisure, I like to read, exercise a bit, socialize, and learn random things that catch my interests. As a person, I'm open-minded, respectful of others, and neat (but not obsessively). While doing my graduate studies in the UK, I shared a flat in harmony with 5 others from different parts of the world. So, I would consider my flatshare record fairly clean! I also love to cook and have meals with flatmates from time to time and give them a helping hand whenever needed. However, I can respect personal boundaries if they need their own space.
I'm a 21, androgynous male, who loves to express their feminine looks more than masculine. I'm studying full time doing a diploma in beauty therapy at Elly Lukas. I'm also a promoter at two nightclubs called Poof Doof and Trill. Originally from NSW Wollongong and moved to Melbourne with my mother and siblings in 2000 and been here ever since. I'm shy and quiet at first but then I become more friendly, flirty, energetic, caring, playful, child at heart and random at times when I'm get comfortable with you.
Hello! Our house is pretty nice and we feel very lucky to live here. It has two balconies, a large dining/lounge kitchen area. Dishwasher, air conditioning, solar panels, gas fireplace, ample storage. We have most furniture and appliances for the house, but do lack a proper dining table at the moment and there is space for more living room furniture, especially armchairs. The house is about a block from St George's Rd and the tram, and two blocks from Thornbury Station. There's a great big park about 100m away, and Merri Creek a little further. Available from today. The house is built on top of a warehouse and office space where I run my business Tsuno from, and also rent out the space to a few small creative businesses during work hours. There is a ceramicist, two jewellers, fashion label, writer, graphic designer along with my business. They are all fairly quiet, don't tend to be in on weekends, and just a lovely bunch of people.
Currently relocated from New Orleans, Louisiana. I will be in Melbourne for the next two years.
