Where to start? Great location, between St George's and Thornbury station, 20 minutes from the CBD and a walk to countless bars and restos in the area, yet quiet and peaceful. The house is in an ideal location. You can take trams, trains at your doorstep. I'm looking for a housemate to share the entire place. You'll get a private room and private bathroom. The house also has a patio with a bbq. Private parking available. The house has some basic furnishings but I'm flexible if you want to bring your own. The room is not furnished. Just send me a txt if you have any questions.

I'm a Finnish male from; Helsinki, moving Down Under, to work as a carpenter in Brunswick East. My journey begins: 1st of November, in the gorgeous city of; Melbourne! - Easy going, approachable, reliable, friendly, outgoing, good sense of humour, respectful, handyman around the house, coffee lover, music enthusiast, snowboarder, and just a great bloke. I've lived in: New York, London, around Europe, India, Nepal and travelled extensively around the world. Whilst living abroad, I've lived with many people and have a great rapport amongst all past house mates. I'm happy to live among people from all walks of life.
I am very relaxed and sociable within a house. I enjoy interacting with housemates rather than living in a home where everyone keeps to themselves. I am very clean but enjoy a lived in feel to a home. I am studying Entertainment Management part time at Collarts in Collingwood. I regularly go to gigs and shows around Melbourne and spend a lot of time out and about. I work in Coburg in Event Management so work random hours some of the time. I make an incredible gin and tonic and will never turn down a glass of rosé!
Haiiiii. I’m Meghan. 26 yo. I study full time double Bach of health sci/Bach of media & comms with intentions to get into copy writing- I have 6 months left. I also am a bartender at a couple of venues. fitzroy bowls clurb and at the arts centre. All aren’t late night venues which means I’m usually finished before mid night. When I’m at home I like to really unwind . In saying that, I’m very social so always up for a chat and a glass of red/ tinny. I’ve lived with countless people and grew up in a huge fam (I’m a triplet) so I know the drill with house expectations. I currently live in an abode in brunswick but my lease is finishing on the 20th of January, so im looking to snatch something up around that date. In my spare time I’m usually eating/ drinking with friends/ checking out local music & events all the usual things a 20-something year olds enjoy. If I seem all gravy to you. Hit me up!
I'm clean, easy going and lead a relatively busy lifestyle. I currently live in Brunswick and will be moving out due to the redevelopment of our current property. I'm a legend of a housemate because I can respect the space of others, and also appreciate a drink or a night out - if that is your thing. As for who i am, I'm in the third year of my apprenticeship as an electrician, and I love it - Outside of this I study and play football. I can provide any references you might need, or answer any further questions. Thank you
Hey, Ana (28 from Madrid, Spain) and myself Ashley (24 from the Gold Coast, QLD) are in search for a new home. We have just arrived to Melbourne, I am currently working part time in Collingwood whilst in search for an Apprenticeship as an electrician. Ana has studied Psychology and she is currently on a working holiday visa. We're clean, tidy and respectful. Generally quiet through the week and we like to explore on the weekends. Our move in date is as soon as possible. Let us know if we'd be suitable for your home. Thanks (:
I have been living in share-houses since university, and genuinely enjoy the experience. I'm a pretty chill and flexible flatmate - not fussed by much. i would consider myself to be: open, flexible, communicative, friendly, social - but also desire (and respective of peoples) individual space. I'm not partying mid week much these days (or even weekends if i'm honest) .... but definitely love a nice glass of wine or two after work, or in the sun ... I'm looking for a share house (not a huge fan of apartments) with at least 3 rooms/flatmates (myself included). I've just moved to Melbourne (the most recent city i've been living in is Sydney) - so still finding my way through the Melbourne scene (but definitely much prefer it over sydney so far).
Hi, I'm Giuliana, looking for a longer-term place to call home in a sharehouse with another 2 or more people. About me: During the week I work 8.30-5, 4 days per week at a university library, and spend 2-3 nights a week at yoga. Aside from yoga, I love hiking, camping and nature connection, travel, cooking (and eating!), motorbike riding, spending quality time with friends and family, veggie and herb gardening; so would love a place with a decent sized backyard with a veggie garden, or the space for one as well as for composting; all the better if there are housemates who'd like to share in this as it's more fun that way, plus I have a lot more to learn! Who I am and what I’m seeking: I'm a thoughtful, open-minded, respectful, grounded, tidy, sustainability-focused person looking to share with other gentle, caring people with similar values; and amongst all of that, a sense of playfulness and sharing a healthy dose of humour is most welcome. I'm looking for a longer-term share house (which is why I’ve written so much!) so it's important to me to find a place with people where we can create a healthy household dynamic; which can only really come through clarity in communication. While this can be difficult at times and we’re all learning, it’s super important for me and the people I share with to be willing to try to communicate openly, gently, respectfully and with authenticity to the best of our abilities. I have a fulfilling social life, however I'd really like to live with others who are more than just people I live in the same house with; I'd like to share communal meals and chats regularly. However I also need alone time, and am respectful of other people’s need for that also. I'm currently used to preparing my own meals and composting, but am very open and welcoming to communal living and food sharing. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I rarely eat meat and I've happily lived with vegans and vegetarians before. About the house: In terms of the house itself, some things I’d really like (though not essential, unless there’s none of them) are: - Gas stove top (for cooking! Electric or induction are a bit limiting) - Undercover parking for my motorbike (I have a cover for it, but much easier to just park under something) - A backyard that gets some sunlight and has, or has space to grow herbs and veggies (even if it’s just concrete that you can put plant pots on) - An older house with character, with larger rooms and more natural light (I’m not a big fan of those townhouses going up all over the place) - I’m particularly interested in moving to Thornbury, Preston, Fairfield, Northcote, North Fitzroy (not necessarily in that order), but surrounding suburbs like Ivanhoe, Alphington, Brunswick East and Coburg may also be suitable. I have a mish-mash of furniture including a fridge (oldish), and a washing machine (newish). I'm willing to shed what's not needed though as most of it I've collected along the way from family and friends. I have some lovely indoor plants which I'd love to share with my new housemates as some of them are little big for the bedroom! I don’t have a particular date I need to be out of my current place by, but I’d ideally like to have at least 2-3 weeks notice so my existing housemate has a chance to find a new sharer also. Would love to hear from you if you think I'd suit your share home.
Hey everyone. I'm currently living out east in the suburbs and would like to get a little closer to the city. I recently spent a year living in Montreal and I really liked my lifestyle there and am looking for something similar here! I have just finished a bachelor of arts in french and psychology and will maybe do an honours of psychology next year however nothing is set in stone. I like to travel, do anything crafty, play the guitar and piano, be outside in the garden and I hope one day I'll be able to make my own cloths. I also love learning languages and talking to people from overseas! I'm tidy and easy going. I'd like to have a friendship with my housemates and share the occasional meal and wine!
Hi, I'm Ana, an international student living in Melbourne. I'm looking for a room in a place that I can really feel at home. I'm very calm, a dog lover, clean and friendly person. I would love flatmates to share a little of my day and have fun times. Thanks! 😊
With extensive rental experience both in Australia and overseas, we are both very well versed in household etiquette and pride ourselves on being tidy, respectful and friendly housemates. We enjoy peaceful weekdays around work and spending weekends being social, going out or being active. We are happy to live with pets as we have none of our own and we are non smokers. We are currently looking for somewhere to live, ideally commencing at the start of January. Parking required as I have a vehicle. For the moment a commitment of 6 months would be ideal, with the option to extend if all parties are happy.
Hi there, I'm Julia. I am a 29 year old photographer and artist. I'm looking for a room available after Christmas with a six month stay minimum. I have a medical condition which affects my energy levels, so I would - with my freelance work also considered, spend a lot of time at home base. I also have quite low hearing which can be touch and go. I'd prefer female housemates. I have an Earth based spirituality, am vegetarian, and am very accepting of alternative lifestyles. I like a clean space, so always tidy up and keep things organised but won't judge anyone for going into a craft frenzy from time to time! If you have any pets I'd be happy to meet them and even occasionally petsit ;) Hit me a message if you'd like to talk.
Hi, my name is Tahlie and I have just moved from the far south coast of NSW to Melbourne to work and study! I am currently working in Hospitality and share-housing although the lease ends soon here. I am searching for a place to call home with people around my age or just some awesome, friendly folks who I'm able to connect with! Trying to meet more people in Melbourne! I am a very clean and tidy person and clean up after myself wherever I go! I pride myself in keeping the place I call home beautiful and comfy and clean! I like to have my own space as well as to socialise. I'm very reliable when it comes to paying rent and bills and I have previously share-housed with friends and have also lived in my ow unit. My interests/ hobbies include bush walks, adventuring/exploring or some good beach trips (now that I live in Melbourne), healthy goodness food, community, practicing enviro friendly stuff everyday, all that good stuff. I'm not a big party person but do enjoy a night out or a drink at home occasionally.
Hey I'm Jemma! Studying full time at La Trobe University, I'm clean, tidy and easy going. I have lived in a share house before, but need to move a bit closer to uni. I'm pet friendly, a non smoker and will love getting to know any future flat mates! Just looking for a friendly environment after moving a little far from home!
Hey, my name is Cal!, and I'm a chill dude looking for a great house to live in! I work part-time in hospitality and have just recently completed a diploma of mental health and am looking at working in the sector. With an interest in meditation and spirituality as well as art and design I am a grounded and easy going guy who knows how to live in a share house and do the dishes!. Looking for like-minded people that have their own thing going on but like to have a chat and hang when each other are around.
I’m going to be away for a month over Christmas and renting out my lovely little one bed flat. It’s a great space, tucked away in leafy Thornbury and not far from High Street and all the cafes/bars it has to offer. It’s top floor (first floor) Flat so it’s pretty quiet, with lovely large windows making it light and breezy. There’s no AC but it’s an older flat and copes pretty well with the heat, windows on both sides to get a through breeze and I’ve got a powerful pedestal fan you’re welcome to use. Kitchen is modern with integrated fridge and most applicances you’ll need (blender etc). I’ve got cast iron pans you’re welcome to use, just take care of them :). There is a shared coin-operated laundry just across the walkway from the flat, including dryers as well. There is also is a cute roof terrace (shared with the other flats) with city views, great spot for a morning coffee or a glass of wine after work. It’s 10 minute walk to number 86 tram stop or 15 to Croxton train station. Northcote plaza is not even a 10 minute walk away for coles/Kmart/ Aldi etc. Great cafe spot around the corner at Jerry Joy. This will suit someone looking for a short term rent whilst looking for something more permanent. I’m looking for a respectful, quiet type who will live here as if it’s their own place. Sorry no pets or smokers, and strictly no parties, it’s a nice quiet block and I like my neighbours. Internet and all bills are included in rent. Flat is fully furnished. Ideally you would provide your own linen, but we might able to sort something out if need be. Any questions at all, happy to chat/ arrange a viewing. Cheers, Eloise
27 y.o musician who loves having some beers and a socialise, pretty chilled guy looking for some like minded people. any musical related things im doing are always kept to a respectable volume. I work in the trade industry currently so keep pretty regular work hours but am not phased in the slightest by people working hospitality/uni style hours. Dont hesitate to contact about any vacancies or questions you may have, Cheers
Hello! I'm looking for a new home! I'm 29, vegetarian, love craft beer, music festivals, bass music, meditating, running and cleaning ;) I'm looking for a calm and happy household, I tend to be out the house a lot, but when I'm home I really value knowing my housemates and getting along. I work full time 9-5, happy with long or short term & happy to go on the lease. Ideally I would like to move by around mid December but I'm flexible for the right place. I look forward to meeting you! :)
Relatively tidy person, happy to pitch in with chores and other jobs around the house. Currently working fulltime in sale doing waterbore drilling. Very easy going, enjoy relaxing watching a movie or going out and doing some adventuring. Looking to stay at least a year with a possibility of moving on after that time.
Hi I'm Sarsha, I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Art at RMIT and will be completing my final year next year. I work in a library and am kept quite busy during the week with my work and uni hours. I'm clean, relaxed and respectful of communal areas and would like to live with other plant based/environmentally conscious people but not too fussed. Ideally looking for somewhere long term, with a minimum 6 month stay. I spend my downtime reading a book, going to gigs and visiting gallery openings. I'm always down for a drink or two and love meeting new people.
I'm a recent graduate and now looking for a place to stay for the summer and possibly/hopefully) longer. I'm usually quiet, and laid-back and would love to share the house with people sharing the same traits. I would love to connect with people that I'll share the house with, so house dinners, board game nights, movie sessions are some of the things I would want to do as a house together :) I often work at home so if you have a strong, unlimited internet connection, you are the One! :)
