I consider myself pretty quiet, and you most likely won't see me if we're living together, i tend to hang out in my room a lot. I do enjoy socialising every now and then with friends, i love having a couple of beverages and a laugh. I'm pretty much always happy all the time, and I'm pretty laid back too.
My boyfriend and I are looking for a short term stay (around 6 weeks). We both work full time during the week and have weekends off, which we usually spend time with friends out having food or a few drinks. We're both clean and very easy going. Both very sociable people but totally understand everyone needs there own personal space.
Hi ! I am Anindita. I will be pursuing my Masters at La Trobe University, Bundoora, Melbourne campus. I am someone who is easy going, social, quickly adapts to change, enjoys making friends and would like to team up for shared accommodation near the university (females preferably). Love to stay fit, very organized, able to cook and a neat freak. Besides, I don’t mind socializing but would definitely respect the privacy and space of the other housemates. Looking forward to get along with a happy soul who is full of life !
My partner Julian and I are from the US, and are looking for a place in Melbourne for 6-8 months. On our off days, we enjoy attending gigs, doing something creative or spending time outside. We're both very easy going and are always willing to lend a hand wherever possible. I would like someone easy going and honest as a roommate. Sweet, thank you!
Hi there, my Name is Casey. I'm looking to move from Brisbane to Melbourne late jan/early-mid feb. I'm a full time uni student studying a bachelor in exercise and sports science. I love sport and socialising, but also love having my own space at times and respect that of others too. Im a neat and tidy person and would love to find a place where I can easily make new friends. :)
I have a bedroom available for rent at my newly built modern 3 bedroom town house. My current tenants are about to leave in late January as they have a new born child and are moving into their own place. My townhouse has everything you need situated in a peaceful but lively area along Miller Street Thornbury. There is public transport close by with Tram route 11 running past our property with tram stops 30 metres away. But you can barely hear them as the house is double glassed and well insulated and the last house on the block. Thornbury train station is just a short walk away too, so getting to the city is a breeze, along with the multiple bike paths that run direct to the city or along the Merri Creek if you prefer to get on your bike. Great restaurants, cafes, pharmacy, liquor stores and IGA and post office literally a 5 minutes’ walk down the road. Preston Market and the Thornbury, Preston and Coburg shopping districts are also a short drive away. Enjoying the great outdoors is easy with the beautiful Merri Creek, gardens and recreational grounds close by or you can sit and relax in the private house courtyard decking amongst the landscaped garden. My house has very spacious open planned living, dining and kitchen areas at the ground floor with great natural light and sliding doors to access the outdoor decking areas and garden just perfect for entertaining, BBQs and chilling out. The large modern kitchen has a dishwasher, induction cooktops, oven, microwave heaps of cupboards and bench space so you can cook up a storm. All bedrooms and living areas have split system A/C and heating, roller blinds & dimmable LED lighting. There is Foxtel infrastructure and ADSL2+ unlimited broadband internet with ethernet and antenna ports in every room of the house. The bedroom for rent are situated upstairs and is fully carpeted. The upstairs centrally located bathroom is shared between these two rooms and includes large shower with extendable and adjustable hose and head, basin, cabinet, wall mirror and toilet. There is also a down stairs private and separate toilet and large wash basin and cabinet with vanity mirror which can also be used as well. The first bedroom for rent for $185.00 per week ($803.90 per calendar month)* Has its own split system heating and cooling, I have a clothes rack and hanger and chest of drawers if you would like or otherwise you can bring or purchase your own if you desire and it has room for a queen sized bed and a study desk or other furniture if you wish. Otherwise there is ample room down stairs to accommodate a study desk. This room would suit a person living on their own. *A security bond is also payable to successful applicant/s to secure the lease. The bond amount is the per calendar month rent A large capacity front loader washing machine and dryer is provided with the house situated in a full size laundry. Off street parking is available as well as well-lit on street parking with no parking restrictions or permits required. I am an easy going, clean and tidy guy and mindful of the environment and my impact so I try to reduce my waste and carbon footprint as best to my ability. I would like my new housemates to have a similar passion & like minded approach to looking after and respecting the house as if it was their own home. We all would clean up after ourselves and we would be responsible for keeping our personal spaces clean and tidy. I also have a rotating cleaning roster for the common areas so everyone is responsible for keeping our home in tip top shape equally. Utility and Internet Bills are an extra cost in which we divide the costs between all tenants. Being a modern energy efficient home we have had very affordable bills so far. The Internet is ADSL2+ Unlimited Broadband and will have NBN rolled out soon. The house is fully furnished with my belongings. However If you have any furniture and/ or appliances you would like to contribute as well that is completely fine with me. An extra refrigerator would be a bonus! If you have your own cutlery, utensils, pans sauces, cups and plates etc. by all means bring them with you as well. As you can probably see by the attached photos I do already have most things covered in our house though. I hope this is the place you are looking for and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
We're a couple of friends looking to find a place living with potentially a conscious female who wants to live a sustainable lifestyle. We both would like to get to know our housemates well, and enjoy each others company, although both enjoy time to ourselves too. Matthew - I am what many would call a freegan and I work for a food rescue charity. I spend my free time making music and spinning vinyls, hiking and taking photos. I spend a lot of time meditating and am interested in spirituality. I also thoroughly enjoy making things from recycled timber. I mostly just want to find a place to live alongside people with similar interests to me. I like to go out and party/dance from time to time but am definitely no party animal. Sherwin - I like getting out into nature whenever I can, being active, making people laugh, being genuine, and having long conversations. I like attempting to play an acoustic guitar in my free time, as well as meditation, and reading books about spirituality. I like to keep things tidy but am not fussed if things get a little messy from time to time.
I returned to Melbourne a few months ago after living overseas for many years. I’m loving being back and reconnecting with old friends and all the good things Melbourne has to offer. My work is music-related; I’m a sound engineer and concert manager. I’ve picked up some great work since returning, and this year is looking good - my diary is certainly filling up. Accommodation-wise I’ve been doing a mix of house sitting and staying with friends for the last few months. I’m now looking for somewhere for the short term, possibly longer - it's all open to discussion - and preferably furnished. I know what it takes to share a home in terms of good communication and keeping things hassle-free, and I'd like to live somewhere where things are kept generally clean and tidy (as an ex-home helper I'm a dab hand with a dustpan and brush) and the place ticks along nicely. I'm probably more suited to living with over-30s. I can be quiet at times but am by no means antisocial. I enjoy reading, music, science and nature and derive ridiculous amounts of pleasure from cryptic crosswords. Don't let that put you off, though! I like to have a natter and a laugh and share occasional meals when the opportunity arises, whilst also respecting people's need for a bit of quiet time and personal space. I do yoga, walk a lot and am generally active, enjoy cooking and eat pretty well. I’m a non-smoker and not much of a drinker, but certainly don't mind if you're partial to a tipple. Do get in touch - I'd love to hear from you.
Studying double major in Environments at MelbUni, I tend to spend long hours at library. So when I am home, I like to cook or read a bit. Not a party fan nowadays due to my schedule. However, it is worthy to mention that I do love electronic music. Also work part time as barista in a coffee shop. Plus I love making people laugh so I am willing to have a healthy social communication with my roommates. Also I like to have a clean house, so I am up to help in household duties. Important to say: I will be back in Melb by 6th Feb so I will need some flexibility with the inspection.
Hi! I'm 28, just moved to Melbourne, have a permanent visa and will look for a job (work as a mechanical engineer). I'm friendly, easy-going, tidy, non-smoker and love pets (but don't have). Going to make new friends in Melbourne. Looking for only a furnished room to rent for 4-6 months (probably more). Prefer Nothern suburbs, also Western and Eastern, but not far from CBD. My budget is 200 AUD per week including all bills. I guarantee cleanliness and paying on time. Ready to pay a bond and for a few weeks ahead at once.
Moving from my hometown of Perth to Melbourne in pursuit of a more exciting life in a bigger city! I'm an avid musician, writer, and world-traveller studying literature, and I'm definitely interested in team-ups with other creative types, starving artists, and students in general. The more of us there are, the easier it'll be for us to afford a place fit for throwing parties and hosting couchsurfers! ;) Move in date and preferred length of stay are definitely flexible, and so are my preferred suburbs; although I would rather live somewhere a little more vibrant and central, I'm totally willing to compromise for the right roommates and housing situation. My goal here is to give myself and other students/artists an opportunity for affordable accommodation (anywhere from $100 to $200 a week per-head, preferably on the lower end of the spectrum, even if it means sharing rooms), and to create an environment comprised of diverse, interesting, and like-minded people and good vibes! But I certainly can't do it alone, and don't know anyone in the city -- so if you're interested in putting together the grooviest communal house in Melbourne, please let me know! All races and genders are welcome. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Hi my names jason, I'm 35, clean and respectful. I work full time 5-6 days a week, I'm out the door around 6 am and home around 4-5pm. I'm house trained and like to live in a clean and tidy house, I allways clean after my self and happy to help keep the house clean. I am due to move out of my current house on the 27th jan ( flexible on this date ) Any question, ask away Thanks Jason =
Hi! I'm a 30yo visual artist (I work mainly with recycled/ found textiles in Sculpture and Installation). I used to be a classical ballet costume maker in Brisbane, before moving to Melbourne 4 years ago to study Sculpture at VCA). I graduated a year ago, and now I work for Craft Victoria in the city, and as a weekend manager of a reclaimed furniture showroom in North Melbourne, as well as developing my own art practice. (My heart lies in my creative work). I am quite house proud, clean, a non-smoker, meat-eater, calm, a bit quiet at first, happy and friendly. I always pay rent and bills on time, I love having a good chat and caring about (and feeling comfortable with) the people I live with, after a big day I am very happy to have some quiet time too. For fun I like to be with my friends, and go out to hear local bands. I ride my bike most places and I've lived on the Northside since I moved to Melbourne and I love it here. I come with house plants, teas, books and a big smile. I don't have any pets but am very keen to live with one.
Full-time student at the University of Melbourne. Easy going, originally from central Victoria. Am into good films and books, cooking, music. I receive Centrelink youth allowance payments which cover my rent. I'm looking for a relaxed house with people interested in what they do/study.

During weekdays I'm usually busy and during weekends I like to watch movies, netflix and cook. I'm a very easy going, clean, friendly, responsible person whose always up for a good chat and beer :)
- social work student at RMIT - Personality -wise I've been described by others as like a real life Tina from Bob's Burgers - skills: cooking, opening jars, telling dad jokes - Likes: netflix, drinking various beverages with friends/housemates, old movies, trying new foods, dad jokes, literally all animals - 100% Ravenclaw PS: In case you're looking at starting a team up or you just signed a lease, I come with a tv, coffee table, a microwave and lots of kitchen stuff
Hi! I'm looking to move into an inner north room ASAP. Will consider Footscray area too. I have accommodation in the place I was renting in Geelong but I no longer need to be there so I'm returning to Melbourne. Me: Clean. Reliable. Respectful of all cultures and lifestyles and can move in any time. No gender household preferred. Audio producer by trade. Maybe I can produce that record you're sitting on if you let me sing harmony backing ;) You: Are who you are and I can fit in around that. I'm an asset to a house share situation so hit me up. I might banter in Suessian rhyme. You may find it sublime. And like my rent payments they are always on time. <3 I've been in Geelong a couple of years for education reasons but that's all in the past (hah). SMASH CUT: (Present Day) I am really looking forward to moving back into Melbourne and establishing myself here and would be grateful to take on that space you have available. Still have accommodation til Feb 15 but I can move at a moments notice and will do so if required. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I am easygoing and considerate, and also hardworking. I enjoy watching TV shows and generally relaxing in my spare time. I also enjoy getting coffees and brunch on the weekend. I think I would be pretty easy to live with and get along with!

Hey! I'm Renz and I'm a recent university graduate from Adelaide who is relocating to Melbourne for work mid-February (1 year contract, full time). My work is situated in Abbotsford and I won't be bringing my car with me so I'm hoping to find a place close to a train station along the Hurstbridge or South Morang line. When I'm not at work, I enjoy being active by going to the gym or the dance studio (I'm a hip hop dancer, just if you're curious). Or if I'm in a lazy mood, I enjoy cooking/baking, jamming on my guitar or chilling out with a good movie/tv series. I'm very tidy, easy-going, respectful of people and their personal space, and always down to make new friends!
