My housemate is moving out and I need someone cool and funky to take over her awesome room! The room: - is in a neat two-bedroom/one-bathroom apartment - is quiet but conveniently located minutes away from trains/trams - is sunny and a great size - has built-in wardrobes and a door to the outdoor area/garden - can be furnished or unfurnished depending on your needs - will be available from the 11th of May. I’m looking for someone to sign a 6 month lease (you’ll need to submit an application to the real estate agent) so would probably not suit someone who is looking for a very long-term home.
Available 22nd April. Furnished room with ensuite. Secure car park available for small car. Rent includes all bills, internet, Foxtel and Netflix. Brand new apartment development - with views to the city. Minutes to both tram and train....easy city commute or to Bundoora University campus. Situated on High Street, close to all the great cafes, wine bars and entertainment to be found on the Thornbury end of High Street. With the supermarket across the road, and the delicious Cedar Bakery right next door - everything you'll need is right on the doorstep. Sorry - not suitable for couples or children.
Hi. I have a room available from 3 April until about mid May. Furnished with a queen size bed, tall boy and hanging space. The room is north facing with plenty of natural light. There is tram line 11 right out front, Thornbury train station 10 minute walk, with tram 86 also about 10 minute walk. Its positioned in a great location in Thornbury, about a 10 minute walk to High st right in the middle of Thornbury. The house has three bedrooms in total, an open plan living, dining , kitchen space with a wood fireplace as well as a split system. There is one shared bathroom with never ending hot water, so no cold showers, ever! There is also another toilet outside. For the garden lovers, there is a huge backyard with lots of fruit trees and a veggie garden. The house is furnished with pretty much everything.
Beautiful 3 bedroom renovated Edwardian home in a street where there is both a train station and a tram stop and located 7km from Melbourne CBD, with cafes, bars and restaurants at either side of the street. Room for rent is fully furnished with a queen bed, built in wardrobe, bedside tables and chest of drawers. This house must be viewed to be appreciated. It has heaps of space and we even have a spare 5 meter squared living room that can be put to use as well as the existing open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen has a very large oven with 5 stove burners. There is a double sink, dishwasher and plenty of storage. A lot of the furniture will be leaving with the housemate but will be upgraded with quality comfortable replacements. If you happen to have some furniture this could be a bonus but if not, don't worry, I will replace it all. There is also a spare room downstairs that we use for guests. There are 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms containing 2 showers and a full sized bath. There is a decent sized court yard leading to a large double garage with a table tennis table that folds away nicely. There is also plenty of free on street parking right outside the house. The house is so close to the #11 tram you can still pick up wifi from the house while you wait for the tram. There is also the bike trail that leads straight into town right outside the house and it couldn't be easier to get into the CBD or Fitzroy. Thornbury train station is just a few hundred meters away and we have plenty of restaurants, bars and cafe's etc, including Carwyn Cellars, Welcome to Thornbury and the Croxton within walking distance. The house was built in 2013 so it's very modern and clean. Not a party house but we do sometimes have BBQs and dinners etc. Smoking is outside. Rent is $1141 per calendar month. Bond is one month's rent.

Dear housemate: I purchased this modern, lovely townhouse one year ago, as it is super close to the Tram 11, and Croxton or Northcote train stations. It is north-facing, so its quite warm and cozy. Additionally, there is an air-conditioning in each bedroom and living room. It is a brand new house so it is very very clean. Downstairs there is only your bedroom and laundry, you will have your own bathroom. So its quite private. I am looking forward to sharing this wonderful living place with you. Can you find a cheaper place with your own bathroom in a brand-new house that is next to tram line? I am not convinced, lol. Regards, June P.S. my current housemate is moving out in a few weeks, early May.
One bedroom available at a really sweet 3 bed townhouse in a great pocket of Preston (near Thornbury border and Bell station). One room plus a production studio style office/study that I'd be open to sharing (if our timetables are well suited). I often work at home, but I'm out a fair bit too. Friendly neighbourhood with great transport links. Available from beginning of May (flexible start date). I'm looking to extend the lease in June.
Hi everyone, I'm going to Europe for the Summer! Yeah. (Or another almost as exciting way to put it: I'm skipping Melbourne for the Winter!) I love where I live though, and I want to come back and land here where I left off upon my fateful return. So, I am looking for a great peep to come on in and fill the space with cozy and lovely, make it home for the Winter. And, indeed, it will be cozy. The room is carpeted, with high ceilings and Art Deco touches, with enough space to do your yoga/ burlesque/art making / whatever it is you need room for. A Queen bed, massive oak desk for your life admin, floor to ceiling built-ins and so much storage space it’s a bit ridiculous make it pretty much an ideal temporary situation while you decide on your next moves. Have your heater cranked all Winter and you’ll be in a cocoon of convenient delish. The house itself is an earth-friendly, bike-friendly green space, with lots of natural light which soaks the dining and kitchen areas in the morning. It’s spaciously well-appointed (see corner bathtub with detachable shower head - so good), with little nooks of comfort and a clean and high functioning kitchen. The lounge room also has a fully functioning old-school fireplace. Permaculture garden is lovingly maintained and you are welcome to contribute! The location is a major drawcard: Right off High St. - literally a 1-minute walk to the 86 tram. 5 min walk to Northcote Plaza, 8-minute walk to Croxton station. It’s pretty damn good, and it’s what you want in Winter if you’re a Public Transport kinda person. Bills are divided evenly between 3 - a pretty reasonable lump sum which is payable either fortnightly or monthly, which covers all bases - gas, water, electricity, and super fast broadband. Move in Date: 7th June Move Out: 24th August (some flexibility with this) At this stage, there is also a possibility that, due to life circumstances, one of our housemates will also be moving out permanently around the same time as my leave date - so there may also be a second long-term room option available. Feel free to message me if you're potentially interested in this. If this all floats your boat, drop me a line telling me a bit about yourself and we can arrange a time for you to swing by! Or, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask 🙂 I’m looking forward to hearing from you ~~ Kate.

Hey guys My names Connor and I'll be moving back to Melbourne at the end of March after 4 years in sunny QLD completing a Bachelor of Building Design (Architectural). I am making the move back after being offered full time employment at a design firm in the far Northern Suburbs so will be looking at living within a 30 minute commute of South Morang. I'll be arriving in Melbourne over the Easter weekend and staying with a friend while I search for a room. When I last lived in Melbourne I worked as a bar manager in the CBD, as well as starting an events consulting business that sees me working as a stage manager at various music festivals in Vic and around the country on the weekends. I love a good wine, beer and a nice meal at home as a group, but know of the need for space sometimes. I come with a car, no furniture (yet) and a passion for health and fitness after working in Sports nutrition retail through my degreee. I love cooking and will usually be found preparing my meals for the following day each evening, and not forgetting the washing up part! While I love the events and entertainment industries I am most definitely not a partier, on the rare occasion that I let my hair down the fun doesn't come home with me. I am ideally looking for a furnished room with a minimum queen sized bed, adequate storage space such as a wardrobe and space for a desk for my work desktop.
Engineer who has a rad job and wants to get settled back in Melbourne. Things I like: cycling, climbing, books, cheese and travel. Things I don't like: Inequality of any kind, falling down stairs, falling up stairs. Things I'm good at: Falling down stairs, falling up stairs, cooking, cycling and eating cheese. I'm respectful and kind, happy to share things and generally love life.
My name is Giacinta and I'm 25 working full time in marketing and from Melbourne. Currently living in Northcote and really love the area. The only reason I'm wanting to move is to downsize from the huge 'couples' room that I'm currently living in. I have a LOTS of indoor plants and enjoy making a house feel like a home. I enjoy decorating a place and making it look lovely. I have a bad (or mostly good) habit of buying unique vintage pieces from the buy and sell pages online and second hand stores. I've been living in share houses for a while now so I know the drill- I'm clean, tidy, respectful and considerate and I buy things when they run out! e.g toilet paper :) In my spare time I enjoy having picnics in the beautiful gardens, going on roadtrips, hiking/camping with mates, eating out, trying all the local bars and restaurants and hosting small dinner parties with my girlfriends from time to time. I am friendly and nice and always make an effort to get to know and hang out with my housemates. I am available to move it as soon as possible and can meet for house inspections outside of Mon-Fri 9-5 hours :) Please let me know if you have anything that suits or if I sound like a good match for you. Thank you, G
My name is Shadi Alexander and if you recognize me it's probably because I was on First Dates Australia for 3 different episodes but have given up pursuing a career in acting for something more stable. I work for one of the big 4 banks in the head office located in Melbourne CBD. That's why I am looking for a unit or town house preferably in the the inner CBD or inner northern suburbs but am very flexible. Happy to stay in the right place for 1 year and beyond. I've been living out of home for many years now and I think I'm pretty much the perfect house mate, not too boring but never in your way either and not intrusive at all. I am very neat and clean and I have lived in share houses before so I know the ins and outs. I am easy going and fun to be around but also responsible and respectful of others and their space too. Also I am quite busy during the week as you'd expect working two jobs but always make an effort for my housemates regardless of how busy life gets. If it sounds like we'd get along feel free to drop me a line.
Hey! I’m Hannah, 28 from the UK. Been here since September and love Melbourne! I’m a children’s social worker and relocating for a better commute. I love to cook, brunch and spend time with friends. I’m also into being kind to myself and keeping healthy :) I work full time so I’m out quite a lot, but when at home I’m sociable but also like my own space. I like a clean and tidy environment and like to pitch in, I'm conscientious to other’s feelings and routines. I’m open minded and relaxed about most things. I hope to find like-minded people and somewhere homely. I’m free to move from the 23rd April :) Look forward to hearing from you!
Hi there. I'm looking for a room in a share house in the City of Darebin. I am currently studying hospitality, and in my spare time play football, enjoy being creative, being outdoors, and spending time with friends. I am an honest, respectful, and considerate housemate. Kind Regards, Olivia
