$500/week•32 year old man
Hey, I’m Anthony — 32, originally from Sydney (via Adelaide), and have been living in Melbourne since 2019. I’m looking to team up for a 12-month inner-city house share — ideally somewhere like Richmond, Abbotsford, Collingwood, South Yarra, or Prahran.
This is a short-term(ish) thing for me. I’ve been living solo for the last few years, but with my current place being sold, I’m planning to reset for 12 months and save toward buying something of my own. So I’m looking for someone who’s also keen to keep things affordable without sacrificing comfort, location, or general sanity. Not a party house, but not a monastery either — just a chill, well-balanced place to live.
I work in HR for a utilities company based in the CBD, splitting time between the office and working from home. I’ve got everything you’d expect from a fully set-up 2-bedroom apartment — furniture, appliances, kitchen gear, TV, etc — so you’d really just need to furnish your own room.
Social-wise, I’m low-key but active. I’m usually out seeing gigs, hunting down new cafes or bars, and playing pub trivia (warning: I take it a bit seriously). I come with a 1,500+ movie Plex server, which means you’ll never run out of stuff to chuck on while doing life admin.
At home, I keep things tidy and relaxed. I tend to do most of my socialising out — fewer dishes, less mess — but I’m always up for the occasional night in with mates. I’ve mostly lived with women in past sharehouses and tend to click well in that dynamic — I’m more Love Island and wine on the couch than FIFA or UFC — but I’m open to anyone who’s considerate, independent, and knows how to share a space.
What I’m Looking For
Housemates in their late 20s to mid-30s, working full-time and doing their own thing
Someone who enjoys the occasional chat, wine, or shared dinner but doesn’t need to live in each other’s pockets
This would suit someone:
Coming out of a sharehouse and not keen to re-buy everything, or
New to Melbourne and looking for a fully set-up place to land while you get sorted
Ideally a 2- or 3-bedroom place with decent-sized rooms and some storage or a garage
