PICTURESQUE RIVER SETTING, ALL COSTS INCLUDED One queen bedroom available in a very roomy, clean and comfortable unit on the river at Toowong. The unit is very much a home where personal space and privacy is very respected and honesty is never an issue. Our bedroom doors only ever need to be closed for privacy, not to keep someone out dand it’s a great way to live knowing no one will ever go into our rooms unless asked to. We share a meal when we feel like it but otherwise do our own thing and there's always a friendly word or chat as we come and go. People of all ages and nationalities have lived here and are always welcome as we've found the mix to be great and feedback is that people have loved living here. Visitors are most welcome and also to stay if it suits all housemates. The walls are of concrete construction so there is no noise disturbance between rooms and the building is also particularly well insulated so is a very comfortable temperature. The unit is secure, has quality furnishings and especially nice beds. The rooms have plentiful storage cupboards and each contains a good desk with drawers and a quality desk chair. There is only one bathroom however with individual storage space for each person in it and a separate toilet with second hand basin, as they're kept very clean this has never been a problem. This will alter shortly though with the addition of one, if not two, more bathrooms. The stated rent includes all costs and is the total amount you'll pay. This includes fast speed internet, all cleaning, all utilities, basic kitchen needs and general shared linen. We have our own personal linen and I keep quality linen that I've bought on special should someone prefer to buy it rather than have to go and buy their own. For short term, linen can be supplied for a small cost. There is no bond but equivalent to 2 weeks basic rent is paid as a deposit and returned when vacating the room. For couples the rent is $385/wk. Transport: Approx 5 mins from the unit to waiting on the train platform, City Cat is approx a 10 min walk and UQ is walking distance away but with buses going past all the time. The location could not be any better, I could literally throw a stone at the citycat ferry terminal from my balcony that overlooks the river. Toowong shopping centre is a 5min walk where the train also stops. The bus stops 10 steps from the driveway depending on destination, if not it is also a 5min walk to the next stop. The unit is very clean inside as it has been completely renovated.
