I'm an exchange student from Vancouver, Canada. I'm laid-back, clean, and respectful of others. Just looking for a chill place to stay at for 6 months :)
Hi! My name is Yok. I'm a graphic designer, student and full time apprentice chef currently based in Richmond. My lease at my current place is ending in May, but however I’m on the lookout for the next move as I’m searching for the perfect place; I’d like to have it sorted and move out in April and pay off my current lease. At the moment I’m really loving being situated in Richmond, location is definitely important for me. I’d love to ideally be in the same area but however am open to South Yarra; North/West Melbourne, Prahan areas; basically places that are close to the city and work. I live quite a busy lifestyle. I’m very career driven and usually will be at work for the most the week and weekends. On my days off I’m very active and outgoing. I do a lot of yoga, pilates and enjoy running at the tan, heading to the gym or beach whaling. I love keeping a healthy and fit lifestyle, and of course enjoy having a few drinks (but who doesn’t). I have a pretty set routine; I live a very hardworking, independent and organised lifestyle; chasing after some big dreams. Usually during the week due to my long work hours, I like to keep it simple but I do enjoy having a wine every once in a while and a good chat. I’m on the search for a pretty specific type of place; I’d like to live with professionals who are driven and career focused but still maintain a social and well balanced lifestyle. I am definitely not on the search for a party house or a share house environment. I’m looking for my next home; which I’ll hopefully want to stay at for at least a couple years; given that it’s the right place. I’m simply looking for a nice home and a couple of nice housemates I can share it with. I’m on the hunt for somewhere that is/has: -Close to public transport -A big size room with lots of storage space -Ensuite would be a bonus but not essential -A maintained clean and decent sized kitchen -Washing machine is a must, otherwise I can supply one A bit more about me, I’m Thai/Chinese raised in Hong Kong and grew up in the UK. Cooking is my absolute passion. I’ve got large aspirations in the industry among my many other career goals. I’m a very creative individual, I love painting, life drawing and gallery visits. My other hobbies include chess, video games, rock climbing, scuba diving, fishing, trying to surf, singing, volleyball, soccer, traveling and lot’s of martinis. Let me know if you’re what I might be after and if I sound like your kind of lady :)
Close to Melbourne's best cafes and pubs. Victoria Market / Flagstaff Garden is about +5min away. Great night view. A spacious living room area which you can use as your own personal/professional workspace (there are two 2.2M long desks you can use). I'm using half the space as my own but there's still good space left for common area. It is not fully furnished but is being furnished well. The available room is medium sized and has a BIR. Secure entrance. Free lifestyle. Available from 28th
HI there! My husband and I are moving to Melbourne from Texas, USA on 24 January and are looking for a furnished apartment/share. I currently work in architecture designing schools and will be researching with the University of Melbourne for the year. My husband will look for work and/or travel around the country. We are avid travelers (Australia will be continent #7!) who love good food and good coffee - both of which Melbourne is known for! We have both lived in shared houses in the past and love meeting new people. We are flexible with term and would like to stay in one place at least 3 months up to 11 months or a year. We prefer a private bathroom and keep our rent and bills to less than $300pw
24 yo Asian lad full time professional/studying part-time towards CA, friendly organised and well house trained. I get along well with respectful people who enjoys socialising over a drink but also respects each other's own space. Looking for a new place to call home - preferably no crazy parties or excessive noise. Other than that, I cook, lift, go to gigs and make bad jokes :)
Architect recently moved to Victoria and working part-time for a local university. Clean, tidy and considerate of others in a shared space. I have a car (pref off-street parking) and a bike and looking for a reasonably quiet, friendly inner-suburban place not too far from civilisation. Looking for 3 to 6 months initially with possibility to extend if all good.
My name is Leigh, male, and I'm a spritely 36 years old. I've been sharehousing since my early twenties so I'm well and truly house broken. I like to think I'm pretty easy to live with, I do my share of housework, clean up after myself and cause no drama. I just landed my dream job at the Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre as a clinical study coordinator so I'm looking to live nearby. And no, I don't wear a lab coat or experiment on animals... any more. I keep it pretty low key during the week when I go to the gym but on the weekend love catching some live music, scuba diving and wakeboarding. Ideally I'm looking to live in a lively area with people who are like minded; holders of a SCUBA licence a big bonus! P.S. Sorry about the photo, it's the most recent one of me I could find and I just happen to be pulling a face.
We are Kirstin and Eric and are both from London, United Kingdom. We are both 27 years old and looking for a room in a shared house in Melbourne. We are new to the area and looking for a place that feels homely. We are searching for a double bedroom anywhere in Melbourne which is preferably fully or part-furnished and we are available to move in as soon as possible. We are a clean, tidy and friendly couple with references from previous landlords. I work in social care, Eric is a warehouse manager and we've lived in shared houses before. Thank you for reading this and please contact us if you have any questions. Kirstin & Eric
Moving from London to Melbourne. Working as a doctor. I'm clean and like to cook. Enjoy going out but also like to stay in occasionally and watch lots of movies!
Hello! I work in hospitality and am in the process of relocating to Melbourne. I've lived in Sydney all of my adult life in shared housing situations, and have gotten along well with a good mix of people. I prefer living in a place where the occupants are happy to mingle and socialise, especially over drinks and/or food, but understand the need for personal space as well. I enjoy cooking at home, and will be bringing a bunch of cool kitchen toys with me! At other times I run fairly regularly for exercise, or play video games on the computer. My work hours will very likely be late and long. I do my best to keep things quiet when I come home late and have never had complaints from the other 9-5ers I live with. I don’t have a pet but love animals, so I’m happy to feed or walk/exercise your pets. I’m looking for a long-term home (6 months or more) and would like to move around the 1st of February, with some flexibility. I should have a job by then but if you’re (understandably) apprehensive, I’m open to discussing arrangements for contingencies or a guarantee of some sort.
Hi guys - I am a 28yo management consultant who has been flying in and out of Canberra for the past 10 months but is now looking to move back to Melbourne (am in Melbourne for weekends now so can view rooms on Fridays/weekends). My job is a professional office type job so can work some long hours during the week but have weekends off. I have lived in many a share house and am very clean and respectful. I am also a pretty nice, normal and down to earth person and think I am pretty easy to get along with. Any questions just let me know :)
I am a full-time Registered Nurse so I can pay my rent on time. I am a laid back person, easygoing, friendly, and best of all, respectful of other's personal space. I am into fitness and music production as a hobby hence I am a very sociable person.
The apartment is furnished, there's lots of natural light, and is got a beautiful view of the city. You'll be close to two train stations (Southern Cross and Flagstaff), trams 86, City Circle, 55 and others to a walking distance. The Queen Victoria Market is located just across Flagstaff gardens. If you're working in the city, you're to a very short distance from your workplace, also other places like universities, pubs, shopping centres, public transport and a whole bunch of activities that take place in the city every day.
The apartment is dreamy and relaxing.. you don't realise you are in the city and can walk, tram, train, bus, uber anywhere! Best of all, flagstaff gardens is at the end of the street. It has two courtyards in a small Melrose place type apartment block. The room/house is fully furnished. The bedroom has draws and a double bed, as seen in pictures. Linen is also available. At the moment, I would prefer short term stay - if we get along and the house sharing is working well there is potential for long term. As it is a shared bathroom, I would prefer singles - open to couples. I've just purchased this property and I'm in love with it - I would want someone who is going to enjoy all the hard work I have put into this space as much as I have. Couch is brand new and its soooo comfortable.
Hi, my name is Chirag. I am extremely friendly and have lived with many nationalities prior! My current and prior flat mates can vouch for me and will be my referees! I am very social and go out a lot for events and stuff around Melbourne. I also love to swim, ride my bicycle and explore Melbourne and rest - well you will have to chat with me in person - yeah? :) While at home I enjoy watching movies, like to cook, having a chat over meal/drink with flat mates, have my own space to relax and give them their - in short, I am really cool ;) :).... A bit about myself; I work in Software Sales for a IT company in South Yarra. I moved back in early 2015 from overseas after 4 years of living and working and glad to be back in the most livable city in the world - Melbourne!! I am an Australian Citizen and have lived in Melbourne for 10 years (2000- 2010) - I worked at ANZ Bank in various departments for 7 years! Went to study full time for my Masters at Melbourne Uni, graduated and found a job overseas and hence the overseas living and working :)... I would like to live with matured flatmate/s who are "neat & clean" and would take responsibility of themselves and the house - I do not mean clean freak :). I am down to earth and easy to get along with. Would also be great to have chat over a drink, eat together etc. at times. - instead of being a person living in the next room : ). I am most flexible and mindful of others and their privacy. Would be great to meet in person and have a chat please, thank you. I love to cook and buying fresh from the markets and cooking from scratch - it's my thing. Like a glass of red with a nice meal and specially in the winters, to keep myself a bit warm :). I have my own stuff for the room, bed, tall boy and side table etc. and my espresso coffee machine, couple of pans and stuff for kitchen nothing major though and no other furniture, thank you.

**UPDATE: In the midst of signing lease agreement** Private room with ensuite. Just a 3 minute walk to the train station, with many shops and amenities including a park/ pool nearby. 10 minute train ride to the city centre. I have a room becoming available in a sweet spot just outside the city with amenities nearby. A loft-like apartment with polished wooden floorboards throughout and light-filled large living room with a high ceiling, it is a truly inspiring space. The room on the ground floor is cozy, has it's own ensuite toilet/shower, with existing furniture you can take over, but you are free to do your magic and get new furniture to match your taste. It has no door however, we have improvised and privatised the space that you are free to further improve on, and I'm happy to help. Room has its own heater and bathroom. Bookshelf, bedside table/chair, bedside lamp, and small fan are free and rest of furniture can be bought over. We are selling the bed, mattress, and clothes rack, all less than a year old! The place has a free garage parking spot and storage/ bike cage for anything you want to put away. Photos are old and furniture in the living area is different but I will upload more when it's convenient to take them. This is a precious find that won't be available for long! Just a 3 minute walk from North Melbourne train station, and one stop away from Melbourne Central Station, the apartment is situated perfectly just outside Melbourne city. There are also plenty of buses at the station (one that goes straight to Melbourne Uni), and tram stop, grocery store, post office, restaurant are on Errol Street about 10min walk away. It's also close to well known cafes like Auction Rooms and Beatrix for a good coffee, slice of cake or Sunday brunch. The rent is around $205 a week, with bills split evenly. Move in date on 15 Jan. About me section: I'm from Singapore and my beloved housemate Karen is moving out. I'm a music junkie (most of the time through headphones), INFJ (ENFJ with close friends), Christian, animal lover, photographer, film buff (esp sci-fi or wes anderson) and explorer. If you have similar interests, like animals and are a (generally) gd person, we could really get along! Would be nice to live with a like-minded person but I respect everyone's differences and don't mind just doing our own thing. I like to keep the house relatively clean and neat, especially the shared areas, don't wear shoes in the house, have no pets (unfortunately). I enjoy watching films and TV at home, some good conversation over tea or the occasional brunch or dinner. Do contact me asap if you're interested in coming to view the place. Wooden Floorboards High Ceiling Storage Cage Garage Parking Females and verified/updated profiles preferred
I am a full-time student studying architecture design currently in RMIT as well as having my part-time job. I keep tidy and clean in my space as well as cleaning public area sometimes. I am not after party, smoking and drug. I enjoy having a night in with take out and a DVD, but also enjoy checking out restaurants and bars. I like to live in a clean and tidy home and am looking for people who agree. I am considerable and kind and would like to make new friends and share each other stories and happy time. I took an apartment by myself and manage it, and I lived with more than 6 people in 2 years. Therefore, I think I really know how to get along with my new roommates. I hope my room is furnished and prefer to live with males in house or town house which is less than 3 people, and fast speed internet, if there is a garden or yard, it would be perfect. Nor sharing room. I can move in February.
I am a Sydney based actor and writer. I am moving to Melbourne to audition and build my career and study part time. I am very friendly and respectful of others, and also inclined to a few glasses of wine and good conversation. I am bubbly and easy to get along with but will also give you your space if need be. Hoping to be moving down late January / early February and would love to find some chill people to live with. Would love to have a beer with you!
Hi, I'm Indy I'm going to be doing a Diploma of Music Theatre at Ministry Of Dance so I'm looking for somewhere to stay while doing it :) I LOVE musicals and fitness and I'm energetic sometimes but I also love to relax and watch movies. I'm respectful of other peoples space and opinions and I'm also a tidy person. I'm looking to move into a house/apartment which isn't too far from the dance school and look forward to meeting you
HELLO! I am a 20 year old vego naturopathy student that has lived in sunny Perth since age 5! I made the big move back to Melbourne in Jan '17 after years of telling people 'this is definitely the year I'm moving back.' I'm work full time at Origin Energy in the city and work weekends at Tall Timber in Prahran! (I'm a busy bee). I love my job and am organised financially. I am clean and tidy, and have minor OCD issues about dirty kitchens, so if you need someone that will clean up after themselves in all areas, I'm your gal. I enjoy walking, coffee, eating lots of delicious home cooked food and hanging out with friends (that hopefully I will acquire in the first few months of moving). I am a food blogger so if we go out for any meal you've got to be cool with me taking some aesthetically pleasing photos and making sure we sit at a table with the best lighting ;). I am interested in a private room, preferably in a flat or townhouse but I'm super flexible with whatever works. Looking for something relatively close to the city, but again, flexible with this. I also love animals and children and do heaps of babysitting. Thanks for reading a bit about me!! Ruby
Very easy going and organised guy working at local firm whilst doing masters of architecture. Have been in share houses since moving from country NSW so pretty well trained that way and everything gets paid on time. Complimentary white goods and furniture if there's a hole where the washing machine or couch was. (They can go elsewhere if not) Up for making a good time of things, Drop me a line !
Hello! I am a Canadian student going on exchange to the University of Melbourne for a semester and I will be needing accommodations between February 15th to June 30th! Clean and tidy, fun and easy-going, very chill. I enjoy watching movies and TV, video games, cooking (eating), and having a good time. While I'll be focusing on studying and will be looking for part-time work, I will always be up for sharing a meal and/or drink and going out for adventures! I am a non-smoker, but smoking is okay. Pets would be a +++ (LOVE dogs).
Hey! I'm a student on Exchange at the University of Melbourne! Coming from Canada and looking for some chill people to live with and a place close to campus to call home for approx 5 months. I'm pretty tidy so you won't have to worry about common spaces. Would love someone to show me around Australia as well! :)
Financially reliable, clean and tidy, respectful, light hearted, open-minded, outgoing and down to earth Norwegian female who have spent the last five years in Australia. I have one semester left of my master of Urban Planning at RMIT and I work 20-35 hours in a cafe in Southbank. When I am not busy with work or uni I like to go for a hike, walk or run, be out and about with friends or at home relaxing. I always try to contribute to a good living environment through sharing food, home-cooked meals and snacks and I always try to leave a place better than how I found it, whether that is by putting away the dishes and taking out the trash or with one of my terrible jokes to lighten the mood.
I'm an easy going and happy individual who with a weakness for a glass of wine and some delicious grub or a good conversation :) Looking for an private room in or close to the city with some friendly people - and i'd never say no to some cheap dirty asian food and a bottle of wine over the weekend :)
Hi, my name is Susannah and I am a third year uni student from California. I study Psychology and Communication at Unimelb and enjoy baking, dancing, reading, and meeting new and interesting people. I am neat and fairly quiet, will socialize with you and your friends or keep to myself if you'd rather that.
We are two open-minded and enthusiastic girls from Germany looking for a nice shareflat in Melbourne. We are both physical therapists enjoying Australia with our working holiday visa. We want to stay longer than expected in Melbourne because we absolutely felt in love with this amazing city. We're used to be tidy and easy going, we love cooking and are always ready for adventures. We are looking forward to have a comfortable home with more privacy than in a hostel and unforgettable moments with our future flatmates in Melbourne. Cheers, Hanna and Kristina
