My flatmate has recently moved on and I'm looking for someone to fill her place! The room is super large and comes unfurnished with its own enclosed balcony. The rest of the house is fully furnished with air conditioning and a dishwasher. The house is on a quiet street with friendly neighbours, close to newcastle interchange, honeysuckle and newcastle CBD with easy access to public transport and a short drive to the beach. Bond is four weeks rent and a cat may be considered upon application but unfortunately, the yard is not dog friendly.
Hi, I'm Rosaria! I'm a 22 year old currently studying science majoring in biology at Newcastle uni whilst working. I have a ginger cat who is adorable and no problem at all. My ideal house is somewhere in cooks hill or Hamilton. I'm a great cook and would love sharing meals with my housemates, with a glass of wine as well. I love to socialise as much as I love my own space and am respectful of that of others. I'm clean and tidy as well which is great. My schedule is all over the place with work but I'm either working days and socialising nights and vice versa. I love going for a swim in my spare time and can teach you yoga! I'm more inclined to team up and lease a new house to make our own as well.
I'm looking for a room in January in Newcastle. I'm 24 and will be working full time in the health sector. I've lived in Newcastle for university and have just spent the last 6 months travelling in Europe and India. I like to keep fairly active and healthy, but also very much enjoy a vino/beer or two and occasionally heading out, especially to live music. I'm fairly social and love to cook and bake. Other things about me: I'm learning Spanish, have just become a certified yoga teacher and love a trip to the Sunday farmers markets. Clean and tidy in common areas :) Flexible with move in dates and semi-flexible with budget.
My name is Kelsie :) I’m 23 and have a 1 year old cat named Bella, who is an inside cat. I work in the hospitality industry and work most nights. Next year I’m hoping to enrol into the Mask academy. I like to think of myself as a respectable, clean housemate. Although I do love my own space I’m always down for a chat.
Hi there. We're Sarah and Julia - just 2 pals trying to sort themselves out. We're both new grads (teacher and social worker) looking for a place to live since all our friends are moving away. We are both very easygoing and love to hang out with our friends. We don't mind the odd night out, however are equally happy at home with a good movie and glass of red. We're looking for roommates who will be our friends, not just strangers. We're open to moving into an already established place, or teaming up! We are going away to America on the 17th December and won't be back until 24th January, however we will be contactable via facebook and email until then, and will regularly check this site. We are very happy to pay rent from around 3rd January! Give us a yell if you're into it.
Hi there! I’m a trainee spraypainter at an industrial contracting company, working as the store man/assistant workshop coordinator. I work 7-3, Monday to Friday with some weekend and overtime work. I’ve got a whole house worth of furniture, being a couple couches, dining set up, kitchenware and other bits and pieces, as well as my own room setup. I’m a pretty easygoing bloke who can keep clean after myself. I love music, and have a bunch of instruments I’ll bring with me but usually practice at another place (unless you’re down to jam!) I enjoy cooking, and on the rare occasion I can manage to, I’ll be more than keen to head into town and try something new! I also have a few other appliances, full size and bar fridge, a washing machine and lawn mowing stuff for any yard work. I like to fix or work on things, so some space for projects would be awesome! I’ll also be more than happy to fix stuff around the house, I’m pretty handy at fixing most things. I’m also a bit of a package deal, in that I’ve also gotta find room for my lil gal Sasha. She’s 1 and a half, malamute cross red cattle dog. Loves fetch, hates giving back the toy. She’s wickedly clever but I’ll reinforce the yard as necessary to make sure she won’t get away. Sleeps outside, can be placid enough to come inside but she’s very excited to see ANYONE so the first few minutes inside the house she gets a little nutty. My move in date is pretty flexible, I’m looking to vacate my current place so I’ll just need at least 28 days notice for my housemates/property manager then I should be good to go!
I'm in my fifth and final year of a Bachelors of Medicine at the University of Newcastle. I receive fortnightly Youth Allowance Payments from Centrelink to supplement my income, as well as regular financial support from my parents, ensuring rental payments are never an issue ! My level of cleanliness is almost to a fault, and i understand the responsibility and teamwork required in maintaining a balanced and well-run sharehouse, having lived in a sharehouse for 2 years during my tenure in Armidale (through UNE). I love the vibrancy and culture of inner Newcastle, and look forward to sharing a wonderful year with some wonderful housemates !
Perfect spot in Wickham, 5 mins walk to the centre of town and honeysuckle. high ceilings in all rooms as well as built in wardrobes (triple wardrobe in room available). large undercover deck as well as nice lawn out the back and another deck out the front. close to everything you need (15 second walk to the nearest pub) internet included in rent as well as some bills.

Im a pretty relaxed person, i try to maintain a positive outlook, have a laugh, not taking myself too serious, i like to remain active, running, surfing, most sports really. I dabble in a bit meditation and yoga. I like to maintain a clean and tidy environment, I have pride in the things i do, i love cooking, sharing meals, i like to socialise and be personable with the people around me. Im conscious about health, environment and respect peoples needs and individuality around me. Monday to friday im generally working so mostly a chilled week, wknds i dont mind having a bit of fun, heading out for a feed or a drink or seeing some live music. Also dont regret an early night in, ready for the beach in the morn. I look forward to potentially meeting you, and seeing what the horizon brings.
Easy going and honest young man, always up for a good time and understand my responsibilities when it comes to both my personal and private life. Love cooking! Currently studying and working in the mines, love all sports and getting out and about. Enjoy the occasional drink after work or on weekends, and try to be active most of the time, but also enjoy Netflix binge sessions.
I'm a 27 year old primary school teacher. I keep busy during the week but love to explore and be outside on weekends. I enjoy keeping active and fit, but I'm also happy binge watching a good TV series. I'm quiet and respectful, and it's important to me to treat my living space as my home. I enjoy living with housemates I can laugh and enjoy some drinks with 😊
Hey I’m Dean (24), working full-time for the Newcastle Knights. Looking for a place in inner Newcastle area that I could bring my 8 week old kelpie x English staffy puppy to live with me. Love my sports/fitness but I’m don’t mind a cheeky burger and beverage although I’m not a big party goer.
28 year old Kiwi gal looking for a friendly place to make my new home. I work full time at KOFM/Hit106.9. Like to balance my social time and down time - so I'm fun but not in your face about it all the time. I'm clean and respectful 😊
Hi! I like to think of myself as fairly easy going. I love having a chat at the end of the day about pretty much anything, however I am happy to give someone space if it is needed. I work full time, so usually at the end of the working day I will take half an hour to myself to recharge and then I'm ready to be social. I'm very respectful of shared spaces and the privacy of others as it is something I value highly. Week nights for me are fairly quiet due to working full time however I am almost always down to have a drink or two on a weeknight if the day calls for it. I do have a boyfriend that will be coming over occasionally however I will always give a heads up if he will be staying the night (which is rarely). I am looking to share with other females around my age, or with a similar work schedule to mine, as well as girls that I can have a good time with on the weekend either going for an adventure or a night out on town!
NEWY/WICKHAM I have previously shared with 27 and 30yr old guys.that worked well because we were all clean freaks. Ha Looking for a unit above street level need sunny balcony, don't care about view. Will consider a fresh team up with right person/ people. I may be older, but this means I'm settled and financially stable. I am a retired high school teacher, looking to share a unit with my own bedroom and ensuite. In and around Newy/ Wickham. No car space required, non smoker, no pets, no children, no partner, generally mind my own business, and clean up after myself. I can be trusted and not a sticky beak. I value my own shelf in the fridge and small space in the pantry.
I have a property at 789 Hunter St Newcastle which has 16 bedrooms , 5 bathrooms , kitchen / dining areas and lounge room with 2 balconies. All bills are included in the rent plus wi-fi internet. THE ROOMS HAVE THE FOLLOWING kING SINGLE OR QUEEN SIZE BED DESK AND CHAIR WARDROBE PLASMA ON THE WALL BAR FRIDGE
Hi :) I am coming to Newcastle end of December and I'm looking for a room in shared house. From January to April I'll be doing a full-time internship as part of my Applied Physics studies. Currently, I am based in The Netherlands, where I go to university. I like cooking, socializing, and every now and then go into my own bubble to recharge. Dancing is a great part of my life, I really like salsa, zouk and other types of latin dances. I speak 4 languages (English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento). If you have a room, or think we could be good housemates, let me know :) Other questions are welcome as well! Cheers, Andrew
I’m a brekkie radio host so my alarm usually goes off around 4:15am but I truly value sleep, my own and others and for the last 2 years, have never woken a housemate leaving home. I keep to myself, cooking for myself etc. I’m pretty tight so don’t keep lights on or waste power etc. That probably makes me sound really uptight; I’m totally not I just don’t like spendig money unnecessarily. I’m totally fun I swear. Did I mention I was in radio? Housemates should probably be warned any quirks, fights, anything really, could feature on the show. From Melbourne originally.
Hi I am moving to Newcastle and am looking for a share house short term but long term if it is the right place with the right people. I am happy to furnish my own room, but not really looking to furnish a whole property as I only plan to be here for a year at this stage. I work full time, am respectful clean and tidy, and know how to have a laugh. I am a bit into fitness and exploring, and like checking out bands etc. Look forward to chatting if you think I am suitable for your place. Cheers
Super chill; I'm studying Ancient History and English teaching, nearly done. Value a good party, a good day at the beach, an adventure; but I also know how to watch a whole show in one sitting. On college my room got mistaken for one of the girls' rooms cos I actually make my bed. Childhood cleaning habits have stuck with me; thanks Mum x Interests include, but are not limited to: op shop stuff, sunsets, bike riding, beach, music, alcohol/partying, skating, hummus, Star Wars, adventures, Milo, rock climbing, the couch, sometimes running and memes. I am also working at a restaurant on Darby street. I am very laid back, friendly, and feel that I am easy to live with, never having had any issues with past housemates, and looking forward to new ones. Cheers, Oscar
Hi, I work at the University which keeps me pretty busy during the week. Outside of work I like to keep a pretty balanced lifestyle. Looking for an initial 6 months, but will likely be around for 12 or more. Also would be happy to team up to rent a place. I am well house trained, love to cook and chill out. If I sound like someone you could live with, lets meet up. Cheers, Joel
Uni Student starting in 2018, wanting to settle in newcastle and start my new life . I am an extroverted person who love stimulating conversation, but can understand peoples needs and personal spaces. I would love a chill environment, which is clean, as I am a clean person.
Hi, my name is Kevin, and I am moving to Newcastle for a new full-time job around Jan/Feb. I am looking to rent a place for roughly 8 months, as my job will involve relocation. I am hoping to find a person that loves food just as much as I do. I enjoy going to the beach, playing video games, going to the gym, and cooking food. I am a happy, energetic and responsible individual. I am also willing to team up to find a place to rent.
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration next year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking to move between late December to mid January (when the lease is up here). Thanks to a greedy tax man.. (somehow ended up OWING money this year 🤔) ..I'm not in a position to provide much bond/rent in advance at this stage.. 0-2 weeks bond is all I can commit to for now. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. veggie patch (or potential for one) and a nice yard space would be awesome. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.

This sunny townhouse is in the heart of Cooks Hill and close to everything - walking distance to the beach, cafes, supermarkets, the new uni, honeysuckle and the mall. I am located at the bottom of the driveway so despite being so close to everything, the location is nice and quiet. The bathroom is shared but there's a second toilet in the laundry. Everything is included - all furniture throughout the house and washing machine etc. The bedroom currently has a double bed in it which has never been slept on so if you want to use that you are welcome. The rent includes internet and water usage but the electricity will be shared. Unfortunately we are not allowed to have any pets :(
Large apartment on Milford Street in Islington (Maryville), with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two car spaces in a boutique security building. Within metres of cafes and restaurants including Baked Uprising and The Maryville Tavern and walking distance to both Honeysuckle and Beaumont Street (think transport, shopping and foreshore walks to the Newcastle CBD). The 155m apartment located on the first floor features air conditioning, security access, internal laundry, built in robe and appliances. Property is furnished except for your bedroom. So looking for a housemate who is considerate and respectful of my possessions :)
Beautiful home with great energy , walk to beach , cafes, shops and transport. Seeking, health conscious female who is looking for a friendly home to thrive in. Must be working , non smoker , non party animal.
The house is located between Market Town and the Junction making two Coles and one Woolworths supermarkets easy to walk to. About a 5 minute walk to Darby Street and 10 minutes to Bar Beach. Parkway Avenue has lots of on street parking available off peak and there is enough room for two cars in the driveway when parking is hard. The room is the biggest in the house and has good light from the north east. There is an attached sunroom between two rooms which the other housemate will use in the new year. The house is furnished but the bedroom is not. There is room for some furniture in the shared spaces. Both ladies have their own fridge and there is room in Katie's for your food. The house has 1 bathroom and another separate toilet. The kitchen, living and dining is open plan to the south of the house with direct access onto the rear verandah and yard.
Hey I'm Georgia, an easy-going, friendly uni student! I love the beach and any time outdoors, but also enjoy relaxing at home. I am clean, respectful and appreciate personal space, and am hoping to move in with people who are keen to not just be flatmates but spend time together at home. I love a good market, op-shop trip or hike, and am very keen to have a veggie garden! I work part time and like getting involved in the community, and am very reliable with bills. I am happy to live with pets too. I enjoy a bit of banter and would love to live with other friendly, like-minded people who enjoy nature, good food and occasional drinks. I look forward to hearing from you!
Moved to Newy sometime during the first week of August from my costal hometown, Yamba and looking to start uni next year. I'd consider myself a caring person who absolutely loves making new friends. As much as I love time to myself and respect that others will too, I'll never be one to turn down a moment to procrastinate in any way or form. I'm a lover of the ocean, red wine, dogs, Netflix, photography, travel, clothes and all things good. Social wise- I do like to go out occasionally, but drinks out the back will always take the cake. Cheese platters are very good too. Would love to live with others that are fun, caring and honest about things... Feel free to suggest for coffee and a chat if you're interested as I'd love to hear from you.
Hi everyone! We have a room available in Hamilton. The house is located a short walk from Beaumont st, Hamilton station, cafes, pubs etc. The room is a decent size that can easily fit a queen bed and chest of drawers. It has a small wardrobe also. We are 2 females in our mid twenties who both work full time and enjoy quiet nights through the week but also like to be social and have a few drinks on the weekend! Cleaning is shared and done on a regular basis. I have a dog (dachshund) so it would be preferred if you liked animals :-) He spends time both inside and outside of the house but is very clean! He's very loveable and enjoys cuddles. The yard isn't big enough to take on any other animals, sorry! Rent is $190/week. Wifi is an extra $20/month and all other bills are split. Feel free to msg me with any questions along with a little bit about yourself. Kayla :-)
