Hi, my name Brianna (or Bri) I’m currently a graduating student speech pathologist looking for a job and a home in Brisbane in 2020. Preferred move in date is 10th January but it is also quite flexible at this stage. I’m a bubbly personality and also have some introverted tendencies. So I’m always keen on a chat and good laugh but will always be respectful of privacy and moments when you just need some quiet to recharge that social battery. I am very easy going and tidy. I’m a creative type (music and art) so I hope you don’t mind someone who will randomly bust out singing the lion king soundtrack or John Mayer. I also enjoy learning to cook so I’m down for cooking shared meals on occasion. I have a partner who is also Brisbane-based and the ideal home would be somewhere he is welcome to visit.
Massive house with plenty of living areas including a pool. Massive room with an en-suite and walk in robe. Has Netflix, Stan, Foxtel and is close to Downey Park and the surrounding park lands. Really close to the CBD and a 2 minute walk across from the Homemaker Centre at Windsor which has everything you could need. 5 minute walk to the train station with a bustop at the end of the street.
Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - November 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. I've worked as a CheckOut coworker for 6 months at IKEA Logan. - November 2019 - Future At the moment I'm working as a Sales Coworker again at IKEA North Lakes. I'm living in the beautiful area of Lutwyche together with my housemate. Unfortunately the lease of our appartent will run out in January 2020, so I need to search for another place to live for the last 4,5 months of my stay in Australia. My contract at IKEA North Lakes is 40+ hours, what means that I'm away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so that makes me fully independant. At the moment I've a 24hrs / fortnight contract as a Sales Co-Worker at IKEA Logan. Although this is not a full time contract, I am taking over a lot of shifts from my colleagues. So I will be away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so fully independant during my stay in Australia. I'm aiming for a place to stay at the Northside of the river where I can stay till the end of my Visa period (May 2020). Are you the potential housemate who can offer that? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and also accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleepover every now and then. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in as soon as possible, but am open to dates a little bit further in the future. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John
Large breezy Queenslander located in prime inner-north location has split level living with (two or three) varied sized rooms air conditioned rooms available upstairs with a living room, large kitchen, bathroom, sun room and deck that views out over the park. The house is located at the end of a no-through road opposite a park with walking paths through to Downey Park, Royal Brisbane Hospital, QUT Kelvin Grove and Ballymore. We are incredibly lucky and located only 5 minutes (10 min walk) from Aldi, Newmarket Village (Coles, Chemist, BWS, movie cinema, sushi, grill’d & more..), Wilston Village (coffee shops, cafes, Fritzenberger & more) and the Home Zone centre (Gym, burger shops, Guzman Y Gomez, fresh fruit & deli). For those wanting to access the city it is either a $10 Uber or the train line is located approximately 400m at the end of our street, with only 3 stops into the city. The house has a large yard with four vege patches, a large shed , clothes line and a downstairs laundry. Downstairs is occupied by two 29-year old male professionals – one who does FIFO and one who works in inner-Brisbane. We enjoy having bbq's and socialising during the weekends. Ideally we would be looking for both rooms to be occupied so its advantageous if there are people that are applying for the entire upstairs area. You are expected to contribute to internet, gas, power which can be factored in to weekly rent or pay as we get the bills. The current lease is until the end of April so we would want that to be the minimum length with both rooms become available on the 27th of November. There would also be an option extend our lease if everything is going well. If you have any additional questions shoot them through.
Hi ya, Moving to Brisbane for work so looking for somewhere quiet to call home for 3-6 months while I settle into and get my head around the new job. I am a friendly, clean and tidy, respectful, mature kiwi who smokes but only outside and I smile more than I smoke. Loves dogs/cats, going out for or having a drink on the weekend if home. I do have stacks of friends so will be out/away on weekends mostly. House must be clean and kinda quiet on school nights after say 10 pm as I will be putting work first and sleep is important. Really prefer my own bathroom and not too many people. I'm a cool chic looking for the right place. Message me :-)
The house is quite large with 3 bedrooms upstairs, big kitchen and dining area, big upstairs bathroom with toilet and shower separate to each other. Large communal area downstairs great for hosting guests when you'd rather have privacy. Huge wrap around verandah with amazing city views. Fenced courtyard as well as a chill-spot down a walkway in the garden perfect for mini-fire with mates.
We are two friends both studying full-time and working part-time and looking to team up with 1 or 2 others to find a house around the beginning of January, initially for 6 months but with potential to extend for longer. We're always down for a chat and a wine or a good Netflix binge but also respectful of having a quiet space. Looking for people who are friendly and easy going.
Young professional working in the CBD. Work full time during the week and like to gym. Normally out and about on weekends. Not a party animal but do enjoy a social drink. Keen for a housemate that is clean, up for a chat and respects personal space.
Quick version: I’m pretty much a massive nerd that’s into rock climbing and music festivals as much as video games and technology that’s looking to join/team up with one or more room mates to search for a place north Brisbane that’s got good internet and a dishwasher, washing machine, etc. Long version: Like it says above I’m as into playing video games and internet culture as much as going to the beach, rock climbing and anything like that! Really wanna do sky diving and bungee jumping sometime and there’s so many bands I wanna see it’s ridiculous. Dog isn’t mine- I just like dogs Currently I’m working full time as a Therapy Centre Coordinator as well as in NDIS Client Plan Management and it’s actually a lot more fun than it sounds! Kinda... I’m also studying IT at QUT part time at gardens point. Search area is anywhere north Brisbane just so I can go between work and uni a lot easier while keeping up with my rock climbing in West End/Ennogra, super cool if you do it too but if nah it’s all G. Close to public transport would be 10/10 My most ideal place would be anywhere that has good internet and a dishwasher because I’m hardly actually home so hand washing dishes isn’t something I’m keen on. I don’t really care about having my own bathroom or toilet as long as we both/all keep it clean and all that. I’ve got a queen bed and a desk I’d like to fit in my bedroom so space for that is one of the only real requirements I have. Having good flatmate(s) that I can get along with would be the other, I’m currently experiencing the opposite and it’s wack.
Self-proclaimed workaholic, I spend a lot of my time at my job at Boost Juice. I also study part-time at QUT. However, on my days off I like to chill with friends, watch Netflix or find a great new cafe. I am looking to share with 1 or 2 other people, I am happy around any animals if there are pets. I enjoy a clean and tidy environment and am looking for people who enjoy the same. I am looking for a home with a friendly and relaxed vibe. I don't own a car, so I am looking for a place with close access to public transport to the city.
Hello! My name is Karen (32 years old), I am from Chile and new to Brisbane. Looking for a place to live since I am doing my PhD here, so looking for something long term. I am easy going, very social, but also enjoy private space and quietness. I like cooking and always clean after. For me sharing conversations and a drink from time to time with flatmates would be great. Looking for a place close to Uni (Kelvin Grove) or with nearby buses/train station. I have flexible moving dates.
