Looking for a nice somewhere for possibly up to 6 months, as a homebase: Hometown Adelaide is definitely on my radar (perhaps Wollongong too). To start asap as I'm living out of a suitcase these days. Sometime up the track (no fixed date yet) I plan to relocate to England. And have a home base to launch from for an occasional few-day trip (over to Coober Pedy in the mid north of SA for example, to do a video and poetic documentary on that interesting place -- the opal capital of the world). Currently working at career changing from teaching (and numerous other roles I've had over the years, such as a bus driver between Melbourne Airport and the CBD where, as my passengers and I trundled along the laneway into the Southern Cross Bus Station, the terminus for the journey from the airport, I would sometimes recite Shakespeare etc. for my passengers), to fulfill some long term goals. E.g., photography, varied research projects, and street poetry (23 times published...). Hey! I'm Dan, a 35 year old freelancer, I've been living in a van for a bit and am now looking for a short-term base to call home so I can declutter, energise, organise, and plan what's next for me. Ideally I'm looking for a housemate to teamup with and apply for a short term lease as co-tenants (Up to 3 months). If a teamup doesn't pan out I'm also considering renting a room somewhere. I'm pretty flexible with where I stay so long as it's within a 2 hour drive of Macquarie Park (Where I have my storage unit). Beachy areas are a bonus. I will need somewhere that has parking available close by for my van that is also safe (Ideally off-street) as I'll likely be going to and from my van a bit. I have a bachelors in Science, and used to work in disability/support sector but now freelance/find casual work where I can. I'm currently passionate about creating a toxin-free lifestyle, have been getting into photography/videography more lately, and enjoy getting outdoors and finding new places but I also have a decent fear of ticks. That said l also enjoy binge watch entire seasons of TV shows (If they're good enough). I am a generally tidy person and appreciate an organised and clean area, I love places with newly renovated/modern kitchens/bathrooms. I can be a little picky when choosing places as I can be a little OCD with my cleanliness sometimes. I value people who are upfront, transparent, and that communicate kindly and directly. I'm adaptable and easy going; happy to chat and connect, or to keep to myself.
