Hi everyone! My name is Catrin, and I am coming to Sydney with my partner Kyle on the 31st October 2025. We are both from the UK and arriving on our first working holiday visa. I have secured full time employment as a Veterinary Nurse, and start this role in mid October! My partner is a Firefighter in the UK, and will be searching for work upon arrival. For hobbies, we both are social people who love connecting with new friends, but also appreciate time on our own. We enjoy hiking, the beach (especially snorkelling) and would love to try surfing! Kyle is an incredible cook- me not so much, but its fabulous to try his food! We are both active people, so an on site gym or swimming pool would be a major bonus, though not at all essential. We are looking for either a studio apartment, flat or houseshare. I have lived in 3 houseshares before and always get on with my housemates- in fact, 3 of my closest friends are from houseshares! We are extremely respectful and understand the need for shared areas to be clean and tidy. We would be spending alot of time outside the house exploring. I've been loving living in green / bushy Wollstonecraft almost 2 years after relocting to Sydney to be closer to my young son. Prefer to stay in the Wollstonecraft / Waverton / Greenwich area, or somewhere not far away where I can wake to bird noises instead of train or highway noise! Was sharing with an awesome female flatmate for last 18 months, however the apratment was sold and i'm currently in something short term with no fixed end date, so no stress about move date. Its important potential housemates are comfortable with my young son and wife visiting from time to time. I'm fine sharing with someone who works unusual hours or shift work or FIFO. I'm working hybrid QHSE roles in marine / mining industries, as well as work on the harbour regularly. Some work travel but trying to limit it these days to get more time with my little son. Hybrid work arrangements means I can either WFH several days a week or rent office space nearby (to avoid impeding on housemates - pending your routine). When working locally i have early starts. I have a boat nearby where i spend a lot of time hanging out or sailing when I can including overnight on weekends; meaning I'm not sleeping at home 100% of the time and can allow housemate some space. Very active lifestyle, fit in swimming or gym / cycling before or after work most days. Often out or away on weekends - which ensures privacy for housemates also! Will need a little space for morning yoga if bedroom is very small * non-smoker * no drugs * no pets * appreciate a clean tidy environment, past housemates can confirm * can supply furniture / white goods as needed * require parking ideally off street or on street if untimed. Seeking ideally a self contained (own bathroom - but not deal breaker) room / granny flat in the area where my wife and 4yo could visit from time to time. Open to team ups for future lease.
